Abstract
- This study aimed to investigate degree of satisfaction of teachers in Palestine regarding the procedures taken by the Palestinian Ministry of Education which are aimed at reopening schools for students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also aimed to identify the statistically significant differences between responses of the research sample members, according to the variables: gender, academic qualification, years of experience and specialization. In order to achieve the aims of the study, a descriptive method was used, while documents and official papers issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Education during the Covid-19 pandemic were referred to and consulted. A questionnaire was designed to collect information from the research sample which consisted of (930) male and female teachers. The results showed that teachers’ degree of satisfaction regarding returning to schools was moderate in general. Regarding the major areas, teachers’ degree of satisfaction with circulars and decisions taken by the Ministry of Education was in the first tank, followed by satisfaction with school environment, and then followed by satisfaction with technical support and training. In addition, the results showed no statistically significant differences due to the variables: gender, academic qualification and specialization, while there was a statistically significant difference due to the variable years of experience. In light of these results, the study introduced a number of recommendations and suggestions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
