- Abstract
In this paper, the method of ultra performance liquid chromatography was established, eight kinds of polyphenols in tobacco leaves were rapidly analyzed, and the effects of different columns, pH of the mobile phase and methanol on the separation of polyphenols were investigated. The relative standard deviation was 0. 1 %- 1. 4 %, recovery rate was 93. 0 %- 102. 1 %, and detection limit was 0. 5- 7.83 ng/m L. Within 6 min, 8 kinds of polyphenols were completely separated to implement a simple, efficient and rapid effect, meanwhile the polyphenols in upper tobacco leaves of eight different origins were measured. The result showed that the chlorogenic acid and rutin were in higher levels. The polyphenols from different origins had different contents, the highest content of chlorogenic acid was in Xiang county, next to Jiangxi Xinfeng. In some samples, kaempferol and catechol had less content, and none was detected in most origins. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
