In addition, libraries can view demonstrations of the program upon request, which will be formally lanced in December 2004.

This article reports that two consortia within the MINITEX Library Information Network have signed on with Information Access Co.'s InfoTrac 2000 program to extend patron access to their library services. Both the South Dakota Library Network (SDLN) and North Dakota's Online Dakota Information Network (ODIN) will have database access beginning in the fall of 1994. In October 1994, MINITEX added the Co-operating Libraries in Consortium and the Central Dakota Library Network to its contract with Information Access Co. With these recent additions, the InfoTrac 2000 service is now in use at 210 participating MINITEX libraries. Patrons of the 31 libraries within the SDLN will now have access to Expanded Academic Index, Company Profile, Magazine Index Plus, and Business Index. Combined, these databases deliver access to over 2700 periodicals, newspapers, and newswire releases, as well as directory information on more than 150,000 public and private companies. Later this fall, 30 libraries within North Dakota's ODIN will add Expanded Academic ASAP, Business ASAP, and Magazine ASAP.

The article reports that the Social Law Library offers free subscription of its Substantive Law Library on compact disc-read only memory (CD-ROM) to the Massachusetts' Supreme Court judges. The CD-ROM contains full-text of the decisions of the state's Court of Appeals and Supreme Judicial Court from 1972 to 1993. It is stated that the CD-ROM allows state's judges to search state's case law from the convenience of their own desks.
