EBSCSO-CD Version 5.0 Increases Search Speed, Reduces Memory Requirements.

The article presents information on EBSCO-CD Search and retrieval software version 5.0 from EBSCO Publishing Inc. Version 5.0 is built upon EBSCO Publishing's new search engine. Users of EBSCO Publishing 5.0 products will notice increased search speed and reduced memory requirements when using the products on existing hardware. The remainder of proprietary EBSCO Publishing CD-ROM titles were updated with software version 5.0 in September 1995. Version 5.0 gives librarians the option of precisely customizing their periodical databases by offering special search limiters that can restrict the results to titles available in full text and/or items available in the library's print collection.
