Background: This study aims to identify trends, research gaps, leading journals, institutions, countries, and authors by examining the top 100 cited Yttrium-90 Radioembolization (Y90) research articles. The insights gained will assist funding and collaboration efforts in Y90 research. The team analyzed 981 articles from 36 peer-reviewed journals, gathering data on authors, publication year, journal, citations, affiliations, keywords, and references. Author affiliations were scrutinized to pinpoint institutions and countries. p values < 0.05 were deemed statistically significant. The most cited paper (703 citations) was authored by Salem et al. (2010), and the journal with the most publications (16) was Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. There was no significant correlation between journal impact factor and citation metrics. A decreasing trend in the number of top 100 articles was observed since the peak period (2008–2013). Most papers were published in high-impact factor (IF > 3, n = 31/35) and SCImago Q1 journals (86/100), with Northwestern University, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich being the leading institutions. The most prolific authors were Salem, R., Lewandowski, R.J., and Mulcahy, M.F., with Salem, R. as the most influential. A statistically significant positive correlation between collaborative links and published articles was also discovered. Short conclusion: The top 100 cited articles were primarily published in high-impact journals, and Northwestern University and the USA showed greater productivity and collaboration. Digital games are one of the most engaging forms of media. Players can have a first-hand experience and the possibility of feeling immersed within a digital setting where agency is exerted. This paper seeks to understand the role of digital games as new means of communication and their potential to convey messages that may defy gamers to question the moral grand narratives that shape contemporary societies. In a moment when many countries have opted to close or limit the circulation in their borders, it is important to think about the role played by the border as a historic liminal entity for the representation of societies and communities, distinguishing those who belong from those who do not. The representation of the border in digital games have tended to follow one of the main tropes explored in other media: the border as a physical space that set boundaries between different nations and different regions of the world. In order to assert the potential of digital games to offer a more comprehensive representation of the border as a liminal space, the case of Papers, Please! (2013) will be analyzed. Based on a qualitative methodology, having content analysis as primary data collection method, the paper intends to contribute to the discussion on how history may narrativized and, eventually, reinterpreted in digital games. Papers, Please! analysis will be centered on the relationship that is set between player and border, that is presented as a liminal space where the game's action takes places entirely. Moreover, the paper intends to discuss the role that has been played by digital games in the representation of serious topics and how they have evolved as communication tools beyond their role as entertainment products. This is a proposal for publishing resource papers as registered reports in the Northern European Journal of Language Technology. The idea is that authors write a data collection plan with a full data statement, to the extent that it can be written before data collection starts. Once the proposal is approved, publication of the final resource paper is guaranteed, as long as the data collection plan is followed (modulo reasonable changes due to unforeseen circumstances). This proposal changes the reviewing process from an antagonistic to a collaborative enterprise, and hopefully encourages NLP resources to develop and publish more high-quality datasets. Abstract: As the industrial systems are growing complex these-days and data related to the system performance are recorded/collected from various resources under various practical constraints. If the collected data are used as such in the analysis, then they have high range of uncertainties occurred in the analysis and hence performance of the system cannot be done up to desired levels. Thus the main objective of the present work is to remove the uncertainties in the data up to a desired degree of accuracy by utilizing the uncertain, vague and limited data. For analysis of this, an artificial bee colony based Lambda–Tau (ABCBLT) methodology has been used in which expression of the reliability parameters are computed by using Lambda–Tau methodology and their membership functions are formulated by solving a nonlinear optimization problem with artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. A time varying failure rate has been used in the analysis instead of constant failure rate. A new RAM-Index has been proposed for ranking the systems’ components based on its performance. The technique has been demonstrated through a case study of press unit of a paper industry, situated in Northern part of India, producing 200tons of paper per day. The results computed by the proposed approach are compared with the Lambda–Tau methodology and concluded that they have a reduced region of prediction in comparison of existing technique region, i.e. uncertainties involved in the analysis are reduced. Self-report survey-based data collection is increasingly carried out using the Internet, as opposed to the traditional paper-and-pencil method. However, previous research on the equivalence of these methods has yielded inconsistent findings. This may be due to methodological and statistical issues present in much of the literature, such as nonequivalent samples in different conditions due to recruitment, participant self-selection to conditions, and data collection procedures, as well as incomplete or inappropriate statistical procedures for examining equivalence. We conducted 2 studies examining the equivalence of paper-and-pencil and Internet data collection that accounted for these issues. In both studies, we used measures of personality, social desirability, and computer self-efficacy, and, in Study 2, we used personal growth initiative to assess quantitative equivalence (i.e., mean equivalence), qualitative equivalence (i.e., internal consistency and intercorrelations), and auxiliary equivalence (i.e., response rates, missing data, completion time, and comfort completing questionnaires using paper-and-pencil and the Internet). Study 1 investigated the effects of completing surveys via paper-and-pencil or the Internet in both traditional (i.e., lab) and natural (i.e., take-home) settings. Results indicated equivalence across conditions, except for auxiliary equivalence aspects of missing data and completion time. Study 2 examined mailed paper-and-pencil and Internet surveys without contact between experimenter and participants. Results indicated equivalence between conditions, except for auxiliary equivalence aspects of response rate for providing an address and completion time. Overall, the findings show that paper-and-pencil and Internet data collection methods are generally equivalent, particularly for quantitative and qualitative equivalence, with nonequivalence only for some aspects of auxiliary equivalence. It provides information on Quest-Sort which represents a composite of a card slot and questionnaire, reducing administration costs in space and time requirements. It compares Quest-Sort with the traditional card-sorting approach and explores the results of two experimental validation studies.

Lung cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence and mortality rate worldwide. For lung adenocarcinoma, identifying specific gene mutations, fusions, and giving corresponding targeted drugs can greatly improve the survival time of the patients. Among them, anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) fusion occurs in 3%-7% of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In clinical practice, a variety of detection methods can be used to determine the ALK fusion status, but false negative test results are possible. This paper retrospectively analyzed the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with lung adenocarcinoma, judged the ALK fusion status by various detection methods. Among them, immunohistochemistry (IHC)(Ventana D5F3), RNA based next-generation sequencing (RNA-based NGS) confirmed positive echinoderm microtubule associated protein like 4 (EML4)-ALK fusion, while DNA-based NGS was negative. This paper analyzed the detection methods of ALK fusion, in order to clarify which detection method is the most accurate and simple to choose in different clinical cases and guide the subsequent treatment. Background: Rapid advances in mobile technologies and applications and the continued growth in digital network coverage have the potential to transform data collection in low- and middle-income countries. A common perception is that digital data collection (DDC) is faster and quickly adaptable.Objective: The objective of this study was to test whether DDC is faster and more adaptable in a roadside environment. We conducted a reliability study comparing digital versus paper data collection in 3 cities in Ghana, Vietnam, and Indonesia observing road safety risk factors in real time.Methods: Roadside observation of helmet use among motorcycle passengers, seat belt use among 4-wheeler passengers, and speeding was conducted in Accra, Ghana; Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam; and Bandung, Indonesia. Two independent data collection teams were deployed to the same sites on the same dates and times, one using a paper-based data collection tool and the other using a digital tool. All research assistants were trained on paper-based data collection and DDC. A head-to-head analysis was conducted to compare the volume of observations, as well as the prevalence of each risk factor. Correlations (r) for continuous variables and kappa for categorical variables are reported with their level of statistical significance.Results: In Accra, there were 119 observation periods (90-min each) identical by date, time, and location during the helmet and seat belt use risk factor data collection and 118 identical periods observing speeding prevalence. In Bandung, there were 150 observation periods common to digital and paper data collection methods, whereas in HCMC, there were 77 matching observation periods for helmet use, 82 for seat belt use, and 84 for speeding. Data collectors using paper tools were more productive than their DDC counterparts during the study. The highest mean volume per session was recorded for speeding, with Bandung recording over 1000 vehicles on paper (paper: mean 1092 [SD 435]; digital: mean 807 [SD 261]); whereas the lowest volume per session was from HCMC for seat belts (paper: mean 52 [SD 28]; digital: mean 62 [SD 30]). Accra and Bandung showed good-to-high correlation for all 3 risk factors (r=0.52 to 0.96), with higher reliability in speeding and helmet use over seat belt use; HCMC showed high reliability for speeding (r=0.99) but lower reliability for helmet and seat belt use (r=0.08 to 0.32). The reported prevalence of risk factors was comparable in all cities regardless of the data collection method.Conclusions: DDC was convenient and reliable during roadside observational data collection. There was some site-related variability in implementing DDC methods, and generally the productivity was higher using the more familiar paper-based method. Statistical analysis is an important part of the research process. Researchers are advised to include a statistician from the moment that the study is being planned. The statistical plan informs the research process, including sample size requirements and the most robust data collection. Once the data are collected, descriptive and inferential statistical analyses are performed. The results of this analysis determine whether the findings are significant, which leads to an interpretation of the findings. The importance of the statistical plan and analysis for the researcher is self-evident. However, it is also important for the reader of published papers to have some knowledge of statistical analysis. This allows critical review of all aspects of the published manuscript. Purpose--Remittances to North Korea have been examined as an intrinsic part of the North Korean refugee experience. The purpose of this paper is to assess how remittances, social and financial, have impacted the North Korean borderland's marketization and mobility practices, including border-crossing, expectations of life outside of North Korea, and family strategies. Design, Methodology, Approach-A mixed-method approach. Data collection has included reviewing published materials, a survey about remittances with North Korean refugees, and in-depth semi-structured interviews. Findings--Data shows how financial remittances and items sent to the North Korean borderland have piggybacked on the well-established informal trading and smuggling networks, contributing to market supply and demand and the cash in circulation. Social remittances and economic benefits of remittances have supported the emergence of mobility as a family strategy in the northern provinces. Practical Implications--This paper provides evidence about how remittance flows into North Korea impact the receiving household's economy and marketization. It provides insight into how mobility is used as a strategy for the family's benefit. Originality/Value--This study provides evidence that remittances in North Korea extend beyond household support, fueling marketization through informal smuggling, entrepreneurship, and supply-demand dynamics. Despite total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) and reverse TSA (rTSA) being fundamentally different procedures, and indicated in different pathologies (rTSA for rotator cuff deficiency [RCD] and proximal humeral fractures [PHFx] and anatomic TSA [aTSA] for glenohumeral osteoarthritis [GHOA]), they have the same Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code (23472). This paper's aim is to investigate differences in operative time and work-related value units (wRVUs) per hour among these pathologies, and ultimately determine if there is a need to assign separate CPTs for aTSA and rTSA. A retrospective cohort of data from the American College of Surgeons–National Surgical Quality Improvement Program was collected, all patients who underwent aTSA or rTSA (CPT: 23472) between the years of 2006 and 2019 for diagnoses of GHOA, RCD, and PHFx were included. Data collected included patient age, body mass index, operative time, and wRVUs per hour. Compared to GHOA (reference group), the average operative time for the RCD cohort was 12.242 minutes shorter (P <.001), while the wRVUs were higher by 1.627 (P <.001). The average operative time for rTSAs in the PHFx cohort were 17.615 minutes longer (P <.001), while the wRVUs were lower by 2.205 (P <.001). The average operative time for rTSAs for both RCDs and PHFx were longer than that for aTSAs for GHOA. Additionally, wRVUs were lower for rTSAs for RCD and PHFx compared to aTSAs for GHOA. Studies published in the last year in the field of cystic fibrosis have provided more data on the safety and efficacy of a number of therapies, including mutation-specific drugs. There have also been a number of publications on monitoring of early lung disease including the use of lung clearance index and magnetic resonance scanning. Evidence suggests early lung changes may remain relatively static over the first year of life. There are important outcome differences across national patient registries and there is also the increasing recognition of psychological illnesses and possible drug interactions as treatment becomes more complicated and survival improves. Background: Roadside observational studies play a fundamental role in designing evidence-informed strategies to address the pressing global health problem of road traffic injuries. Paper-based data collection has been the standard method for such studies, although digital methods are gaining popularity in all types of primary data collection.Objective: This study aims to understand the reliability, productivity, and efficiency of paper vs digital data collection based on three different road user behaviors: helmet use, seatbelt use, and speeding. It also aims to understand the cost and time efficiency of each method and to evaluate potential trade-offs among reliability, productivity, and efficiency.Methods: A total of 150 observational sessions were conducted simultaneously for each risk factor in Mumbai, India, across two rounds of data collection. We matched the simultaneous digital and paper observation periods by date, time, and location, and compared the reliability by subgroups and the productivity using Pearson correlations (r). We also conducted logistic regressions separately by method to understand how similar results of inferential analyses would be. The time to complete an observation and the time to obtain a complete dataset were also compared, as were the total costs in US dollars for fieldwork, data entry, management, and cleaning.Results: Productivity was higher in paper than digital methods in each round for each risk factor. However, the sample sizes across both methods provided a precision of 0.7 percentage points or smaller. The gap between digital and paper data collection productivity narrowed across rounds, with correlations improving from r=0.27-0.49 to 0.89-0.96. Reliability in risk factor proportions was between 0.61 and 0.99, improving between the two rounds for each risk factor. The results of the logistic regressions were also largely comparable between the two methods. Differences in regression results were largely attributable to small sample sizes in some variable levels or random error in variables where the prevalence of the outcome was similar among variable levels. Although data collectors were able to complete an observation using paper more quickly, the digital dataset was available approximately 9 days sooner. Although fixed costs were higher for digital data collection, variable costs were much lower, resulting in a 7.73% (US $3011/38,947) lower overall cost.Conclusions: Our study did not face trade-offs among time efficiency, cost efficiency, statistical reliability, and descriptive comparability when deciding between digital and paper, as digital data collection proved equivalent or superior on these domains in the context of our project. As trade-offs among cost, timeliness, and comparability-and the relative importance of each-could be unique to every data collection project, researchers should carefully consider the questionnaire complexity, target sample size, implementation plan, cost and logistical constraints, and geographical contexts when making the decision between digital and paper. In this article I discuss my experiences as an international PhD student conducting research in New Zealand. This reflexive paper will discuss the challenges and difficulties I faced as a novice researcher and as an 'outsider' who needed to understand and embrace the uniquely Kiwi-Māori culture that permeates New Zealand society. In particular, this article will focus on my experiences during the data collection phase of my doctoral research, which examines young children's empathy towards animals in Aotearoa New Zealand. As an international student from Singapore based in New Zealand and as a vegan of seven years, I will shed light on the two challenges that I face as a researcher: firstly, my struggles as an outsider making sense of the Kiwi culture while conducting this research, and secondly, as a vegan researcher whose personal philosophy of veganism runs counter to the overarching socio-cultural beliefs and practices towards animals in New Zealand. This paper aims to provide a first attempt towards analysis innovation ecosystems for cardiovascular pathologies in Germany through the use of a stakeholder model. We present essential stakeholders for the development and deployment of innovations in the field of cardiovascular research and medicine, and the primary functions they fulfill in the context of these innovation ecosystems. The adopted approach consists of the implementation of a multilevel system model for analyzing stakeholders in this particular field. Data acquisition transpired through systematic literature review of multiple articles and studies. Data analysis phases were executed until reaching a point at which the considerable amount of data was discovered, ensuring consistency across various sources. We demonstrate that innovation ecosystems in cardiovascular medicine involve interconnected networks of stakeholders across different fields. Moreover, through an investigation of innovation ecosystems of cardiovascular pathologies particularly in Germany, we present the functions undertaken by each stakeholder, which are essential for the participation in the innovation ecosystems. The findings presented in this paper hold the potential to bring better understanding of cardiovascular pathology innovation ecosystems in Germany. Wrist fractures are common injuries associated with high disability in the early recovery period. The impact of wrist fractures on safe return to drive is not understood. (1) To compare the proportion of adults who were drivers in car crashes before and after wrist fracture; (2) To examine potential factors (demographic and/or clinical) associated with increased odds of being a driver in a car crash following wrist fracture. Retrospective cohort study. Three state-wide government datasets (MainRoads Western Australia [WA], Hospital Morbidity Data Collection and the Emergency Department Data Collection) were used to obtain and link demographic, clinical and car crash information relating to adults with a wrist fracture sustained between 2008 and 2017. McNemar's tests were used to compare the proportion of drivers in a car crash within the 2 years prior to and following the fracture date. Multivariable logistic regressions were used to identify if any variables were associated with increased odds of crashing in the post-fracture period. Data relating to 37,107 adults revealed a 3.3% (95% CI 3.0%–3.6%, p < 0.05) decrease in the proportion of drivers in a car crash following wrist fracture, persisting for the entire 2 years post-fracture, when compared to the proportion who crashed before their fracture. Those with more severe wrist fracture injury patterns had 79%(95% CI 1.07–3.0, p = 0.03) higher odds of having a crash in the first 3 months following their injury, compared to those with isolated wrist fracture injuries. These results inform and update return to drive recommendations. The reduced proportion of drivers involved in crashes following wrist fracture persisted for 2 years; longer than the expected physical recovery timeframe. It is important that hand therapists actively educate the sub-group of adults with more severe wrist fracture injury patterns of the increased likelihood of car crash for the 3 months following their fracture. • This the first paper to report on car crashes following wrist fracture. • We provide much needed information to assist with return to drive decision-making. • Those with severe injury had 79% higher odds of crashing in the initial 3-months. • Education is recommended for the sub-group with 3-months of increased crash risk. At present, the threats to network security are also increasing, among which abnormal traffic detection is the key link to ensure network security. Traditional detection methods based on signature or threshold are often difficult to adapt to the increasingly complex network environment and new attack methods. Therefore, this paper optimizes and improves the data processing technology, proposes a network ATD method based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, and explores in detail the traffic data collection and pre-processing, the feature recognition of abnormal traffic, the application of PSO algorithm, real-time monitoring and response mechanism. The results of two sets of simulation experiments are as follows: compared with the traditional model, the accuracy rate of ATD of the improved algorithm is increased by 7.2% on average, and the detection time is reduced by 7.35s on average. Acromion and scapular spine fractures (ASFs) after reverse total shoulder arthroplasty have been reported at a rate of 3.9 percent. Radiographs have been shown to be unreliable at identifying these fractures, with an estimated 20% false negative rate. A computed tomography (CT) scan is typically performed when initial radiographs are inconclusive and clinical suspicion for ASF remains high. However, the accuracy of identifying ASF fractures after reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) with CT has not been studied. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the ability of CT scans to detect clinically suspected ASF fractures after RSA when initial radiographs are inconclusive. A retrospective review of our institution's shoulder and elbow repository identified 111 patients treated with RSA from 2006 to 2022 that subsequently sustained an ASF. Upon clinical suspicion of an ASF, a 4-view radiographic series was obtained. If no fracture was clearly identified, a thin-cut CT was obtained. Additional four-view radiographic series were taken at each subsequent follow-up. Rate of detection by CT scan was defined using the number of cases with positive scans out of the number in which both a CT scan was performed, and a fracture was identified on either CT scan or other additional follow-up imaging. After inconclusive radiographs, a CT was ordered for 61 patients (55%) at a median of 1.3 weeks after the onset of signs/symptoms suspicious for ASF. Fractures were identified in 52 cases (85.2%) at a median of 1.6 weeks after the onset of sign/symptoms. The fracture was not seen on CT in 9 cases at a median of 0.9 week after the onset of sign/symptoms, representing a false negative rate of 14.8%. These fractures were later identified on radiographs at a median of 5.9 weeks following the CT scan. No statistical differences were observed in sensitivity of CT scan between fracture types. Fractures initially missed on CT scan eventually displaced and became nonunions. CT scans can be helpful in identifying and characterizing ASF following RSA, with an overall rate of detection (sensitivity) of 85%. Quality-relevant process monitoring provides important guarantees for the safety of industrial operation, which is based on the assumption that data collection is complete and low-order autocorrelated. However, real industrial processes always exhibit complex characteristics such as multi-rate sampling and high-order dynamic, which pose great challenges for process monitoring. To this end, a multi-rate high-order dynamic twin-latent-variable probabilistic (MHDTVP) model is presented in this paper to extract data correlations among multi-rate measurements from quality-relevant and irrelevant perspectives. Moreover, to reveal the dynamics in the multi-rate sampling process, an autoregressive twin-latent-variable structure is designed to extract both quality-relevant and quality-irrelevant high-order dynamic features. In the MHDTVP model, parameters are trained through an efficient expectation maximization (EM) iteration framework. Finally, the performance conclusions of MHDTVP are validated with the Tennessee Eastman process (TEP) and Thermal Power Plant (TPP). The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model exhibits superior monitoring efficiency for multi-rate dynamic processes compared to similar approaches. In this paper I argue that assessment data can be helpful to teachers for practising effective pedagogy, but it can also inhibit effective teaching when it is used to control their practice. Effective pedagogy is defined as giving each learner the resources they need to progress successfully and confidently through school. The paper first introduces the Reading to Learn professional learning program that started as a project with Indigenous students in primary and secondary schools. Both the project and the R2L program were helped and hindered by assessment regimes of education bureaucracies. Assessments developed in the program show inequalities within classrooms at all school stages, which is explained by an analysis of the literacy development curriculum through primary and secondary school. A model of pedagogy and knowledge about language is then proposed for teacher professional learning, that includes assessments that teachers control to track their students' growth. A postgraduate student researcher coming from a context where there is an absence of an active research culture is likely to face several challenges when undertaking doctoral study at a university with a deep-rooted culture of research. They may experience academic writing, researching and thesis structuring struggles, and may specifically encounter difficulties during data collection, especially in communities which are not conversant with research practices. The literature and guides for students seldom give advice on dealing with such challenges as those faced in a research study. I wish to address this gap by providing recounts of my PhD experiences for structuring the literature review, selecting appropriate methodology and adapting data gathering methods; and do so in a reflexive way. My PhD study explores the 'assessment for learning' (AfL) practices of Design and Technology (D&T) teachers in the state secondary schools of Mauritius. The main research question was 'How are the AfL practices of Mauritius D&T teachers framed?' In light of this question, an interpretative naturalistic theoretical perspective (Crotty, 1998; Gray, 2014) was used as the participants were observed in their natural settings. Data were gathered in three stages using a multi-method approach incorporating a survey, interviews and observations along with secondary documents and field notes. In this article I progressively discuss four key stages of the PhD process and elaborate on strategies that were adopted to generate the literature review, refine the research questions as a bridge to methodology, make decisions of design and methods, and respond to the research context. In doing so, I hope to be able to inspire and guide doctoral students in these areas, particularly researchers willing to investigate teachers' practices in their natural settings. Background: Paper questionnaires have traditionally been the first choice for data collection in research. However, declining response rates over the past decade have increased the risk of selection bias in cross-sectional studies. The growing use of the Internet offers new ways of collecting data, but trials using Web-based questionnaires have so far seen mixed results. A secure, online digital mailbox (e-Boks) linked to a civil registration number became mandatory for all Danish citizens in 2014 (exemption granted only in extraordinary cases). Approximately 89% of the Danish population have a digital mailbox, which is used for correspondence with public authorities.Objective: We aimed to compare response rates, completeness of data, and financial costs for different invitation methods: traditional surface mail and digital mail.Methods: We designed a cross-sectional comparative study. An invitation to participate in a survey on help-seeking behavior in out-of-hours care was sent to two groups of randomly selected citizens from age groups 30-39 and 50-59 years and parents to those aged 0-4 years using either traditional surface mail (paper group) or digital mail sent to a secure online mailbox (digital group). Costs per respondent were measured by adding up all costs for handling, dispatch, printing, and work salary and then dividing the total figure by the number of respondents. Data completeness was assessed by comparing the number of missing values between the two methods. Socioeconomic variables (age, gender, family income, education duration, immigrant status, and job status) were compared both between respondents and nonrespondents and within these groups to evaluate the degree of selection bias.Results: A total 3600 citizens were invited in each group; 1303 (36.29%) responded to the digital invitation and 1653 (45.99%) to the paper invitation (difference 9.66%, 95% CI 7.40-11.92). The costs were €1.51 per respondent for the digital group and €15.67 for paper group respondents. Paper questionnaires generally had more missing values; this was significant in five of 17 variables (P<.05). Substantial differences were found in the socioeconomic variables between respondents and nonrespondents, whereas only minor differences were seen within the groups of respondents and nonrespondents.Conclusions: Although we found lower response rates for Web-based invitations, this solution was more cost-effective (by a factor of 10) and had slightly lower numbers of missing values than questionnaires sent with paper invitations. Analyses of socioeconomic variables showed almost no difference between nonrespondents in both groups, which could imply that the lower response rate in the digital group does not necessarily increase the level of selection bias. Invitations to questionnaire studies via digital mail may be an excellent option for collecting research data in the future. To effectively manage ships and maintain the safety of port and territorial waters, ship plate recognition is an essential technology. However, there are many different font styles in actual scenes because there is no unified format. Among them, the handwritten font is the most changeable. l'hese complex and ehangeable font styles will cause difficulties in recognizing ship plates. Furthermore, handwritten ship plates are unique in data collection, which means that it is impossible to collect enough fonts of the same style or all ship plates for training. In this paper. we propose a text recognition model architecture that simulates human learning and literacy to solve the problem of few-shot multifont, which is called learning by analysis (LBA). Humans can recognize multiple types ofcharacter through pre-train knowledge. Referring to this concept, LBA is a twin network composed of a benchmark model (BM) and an extended model (EM). BM builds a hypothesis space based on standard fonts. and then EM learns to recognize variable text based on BM through high-dimensional feature mapping and aggregation o f embedded spaces. In addition, we also propose a type change block without training, which increases the complexity of the data by making complex type changes to the text. Experiments show that the method achieves 96% accuracy on NIST. The accuracy ofship plate recognition in natural scenes is as high as 91%, which shows that our method has a robust generalizability. This study aims to evaluate better the effectiveness of tourism collaboration and subsequently identify future research directions. Its conceptual framework for evaluating the effectiveness of stakeholder collaboration consists of four main parts: context, process, outcome and impact. The framework enables comparative analysis of collaboration across different contexts; allows individual or comparative case studies; and enables efforts to collect data on a series of indicators from many cases to test dimensions, elements and interactions. This study systematically reviews 169 studies evaluating stakeholder collaboration, including research papers, book chapters, research frontiers articles, commentaries, book reviews, issue introductions, short communications and research notes. EU-funded project FRANCIS focuses on involving citizens in the development of so-called Frugal Innovations, i.e. simple, affordable and sustainable solutions. It does so by organising open-innovations challenges that are managed through an IT-platform and supported by various recruitment and ideation formats. Usually, Citizen Science only involves citizens for minor tasks such as data collection. FRANCIS jump ahead in science is that the project invites them to propose and work on new solutions that have a real chance to enter the market. Before starting the challenges, the team of FRANCIS already made some assumptions about how to encourage and support participants in the best possible way based on existing publications and first findings from primary research. Now that the first challenge is running, the team had the opportunity to check whether they have proven to be true so far. Collecting and structuring data on which to perform specific data analyses is a long and complicated process. It requires substantial advanced planning of what data and what data characteristics will be needed for the study. It is important to specify in what format they should be collected. On the other side, there are huge amounts of data stored in a variety of applications. This data is clean and consistent. In many cases, it can be used for new analyses, different from the original purposes for which the information was collected. This is particularly true for data in healthcare. Medical information accumulated in multiple systems can be used for further research and analysis. This paper presents a methodology, appropriate data models, and relevant software decisions that support the reuse and explorations of medical data for specific treatment assessments based on data routinely collected from clinical systems. Automatic detection and prediction of falls specifically in elderly population who live alone can prevent untoward incidents by taking action at appropriate time. Validating these automated systems requires a labeled dataset. The available datasets are mostly based on inertial features. A health-related concern may also be a reason behind a fall. Considering physiological features along with inertial features can increase the accuracy of the system. In this paper, a labeled multiclass dataset is presented based on physiological and Inertial features of the body (PIF v2). Two trials are performed by each participant. The participants are young as well as elderly performing activities and falls in real-time using the prototype containing various sensors designed for collecting inertial as well as physiological features. Two trials are performed by each participant. 27 subjects (15 males and 12 females) between the age 10 years to 75 years participated in data collection. A detailed comparison between PIF v1 where the data were collected individually using each sensor and PIF v2 is given along with statistical analysis of PIF v2. The statistical analysis of various features with a t-test shows that the different activities and falls can be differentiated using inertial as well as physiological features. E-learning has become a popular approach today. However, in drama/theater classes where exercises, rehearsals, and 'productions' are done on stage, such an approach was considered impossible, until Covid-19 pandemic strike occurred. The purpose of this paper is to reveal how acting classes dealt with the disruption, the process of selecting and implementing online meeting platforms, the new 'lesson plan' to finish the classes, the challenges due to the changes, and evaluation for future practices. The nature of the study is both explanatory and evaluative by action research. Primary data were collected using personal observations and questionnaires. Secondary data were taken from library research pertaining drama/theater, e-learning, online teaching, action research, thematic analysis, etc. By flipping from offline to online learning, acting classes turned out to be manageable. Radical and innovative adaptations should be made to make classes work online, including flipping offline to online meetings, implementing screen/camera knowledge, and using online platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, WA, and LINE. Moreover, despite the fact that initially online meeting was threatening to the students and the teacher alike, using online meeting platforms for acting classes as blended learning was a good challenge, given appropriate situations and purposes. The Canadian Constitution requires that federal electoral districts be reviewed after each decennial census to reflect population changes. This process, known as redistribution, has two phases: representation and readjustment. Public participation is a crucial stage in the readjustment process. The Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act requires each boundary commission to hold at least one public hearing in the province after the boundary commission develops an initial map proposal. This article offers a reflection on the involvement of the public in the most recent redistribution process. The data in this paper is collated from the 2022 reports of the 10 boundary commissions; data collected from the 2012 redistribution is also used as context. The starting place for analysis will be the work of John Courtney where he draws several conclusions about the involvement of the public in his foundational analysis of boundary commissions prior to 1994. Objective: Our aim was to assess differences in the characteristics of patients who choose paper versus electronic questionnaires and to evaluate the data quality of both approaches. Methods: Between October 2012 and June 2013, 136 patients participated in a study on diagnosis-induced stress and anxiety. Patients were asked to fill out questionnaires at six different moments during the diagnostic phase. They were given the opportunity to fill out the questionnaires on paper or electronically (a combination of tablet and Web-based questionnaires). Demographic characteristics and completeness of returned data were compared between groups. Results: Nearly two-thirds of patients (88/136, 64.7%) chose to fill out the questionnaires on paper, and just over a third (48/136, 35.3%) preferred the electronic option. Patients choosing electronic questionnaires were significantly younger (mean 47.3 years vs mean 53.5 in the paper group, P=.01) and higher educated (P=.004). There was significantly more missing information (ie, at least one question not answered) in the paper group during the diagnostic day compared to the electronic group (using a tablet) (28/88 vs 1/48, P<.001). However, in the week after the diagnostic day, missing information was significantly higher in the electronic group (Web-based questionnaires) compared to the paper group (41/48 vs 38/88, P<.001). Conclusions: Younger patients and patients with a higher level of education have a preference towards filling out questionnaires electronically. Happiness is a right that must be recognized and must be accessible to everyone, because it depends on what social actors are able to do or not do. This seems to distance happiness from the emotional dimension. This paper intends to present data relating to a part of a larger study carried out in 2021. The research investigated the social imagery that revolves around the concept of happiness. The study involved 20 men and 20 women (35-45 years-old) in two web discussions. This paper will try to understand if happiness is an emotion, mood or personality trait and if a gender distinction emerges. The data collected showed that for the study participants, happiness is an emotion. Despite this, a gender distinction is highlighted with respect to the other two images of happiness (mood and personality trait). In the first case, the image of happiness as a state of mind is more common among women. One of the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, the Adis, lacked the skill to produce finished goods they used, yet they obtained them from Tibet by means of long-distance trade. Tibetan material culture adopted by the Adis was borrowed directly through cross-border trade and indirectly from the neighbouring tribes. The exotic goods had multitude of functions in the Adi society. The use of such goods in the Adi society had no relation with the purpose they were actually produced for. Some had different values in terms of utility. The cultural value of such goods got inculcated in Adi society due to their meaning-based application. In due course of time, some got indigenised and carried face value as wealth of the Adis. This paper aims at understanding the hegemony of the Tibetan material culture in Adi society. Focus shall be shed on the overview of the dynamism of material culture with an illustration which is prevalent at present too. It brought changes in the belief and socio-economic life of the Adis. It is significant to bring it to light because the appropriation of exotic materials played a vital role in the historical trajectory of the Adis. The study here is empirical as well as historical. Primarily, oral narratives of the persons who have witnessed this process during the second half of the twentieth century are considered in data collection. Background: Survey response rates have been declining over the past decade. The more widespread use of the Internet and Web-based technologies among potential health survey participants suggests that Web-based questionnaires may be an alternative to paper questionnaires in future epidemiological studies. Objective: To compare response rates in a population of parents by using 4 different modes of data collection for a questionnaire survey of which 1 involved a nonmonetary incentive. Methods: A random sample of 3148 parents of Danish children aged 2-17 years were invited to participate in the Danish part of the NordChild 2011 survey on their children's health and welfare. NordChild was conducted in 1984 and 1996 in collaboration with Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden using mailed paper questionnaires only. In 2011, all countries used conventional paper versions only except Denmark where the parents were randomized into 4 groups: (1) 789 received a paper questionnaire only (paper), (2) 786 received the paper questionnaire and a log-in code to the Web-based questionnaire (paper/Web), (3) 787 received a log-in code to the Web-based questionnaire (Web), and (4) 786 received log-in details to the Web-based questionnaire and were given an incentive consisting of a chance to win a tablet computer (Web/tablet). In connection with the first reminder, the nonresponders in the paper, paper/Web, and Web groups were also present with the opportunity to win a tablet computer as a means of motivation. Descriptive analysis was performed using chi-square tests. Odds ratios were used to estimate differences in response rates between the 4 modes. Results: In 2011, 1704 of 3148 (54.13%) respondents answered the Danish questionnaire. The highest response rate was with the paper mode (n=443, 56.2%). The other groups had similar response rates: paper/Web (n=422, 53.7%), Web (n=420, 53.4%), and Web/tablet (n=419, 53.3%) modes. Compared to the paper mode, the odds for response rate in the paper/Web decreased by 9% (OR 0.91, 95% CI 0.74-1.10) and by 11% (OR 0.89, 95% CI 0.73-1.09) in the Web and Web/tablet modes. The total number of responders for NordChild declined from 10,291 of 15,339 (67.09%) in 1984 and 10,667 of 15,254 (69.93%) in 1996 to 7805 of 15,945 (48.95%) in 2011 with similar declines in all 5 Nordic countries. Conclusions: Web-based questionnaires could replace traditional paper questionnaires with minor effects on response rates and lower costs. The increasing effect on the response rate on participants replying for a nonmonetary incentive could only be estimated within the 2 Web-based questionnaire modes before the first reminder. Alternative platforms to reach higher participation rates in population surveys should reflect the development of electronic devices and the ways in which the population primarily accesses the Internet. • New developments make practice-based research more feasible than before. • Data collected during measurement-based care can contribute to research. • A primer for conducting research in private practice is provided. Mental health professionals who work in private practice and other clinical settings have huge opportunities to contribute to the science of our field. But they rarely do so. This article describes ways that practitioners who have research training can capitalize on recent developments in practice, science, and technology to conduct research in their private practice. I describe a model for conducting research as a practitioner that entails tightly integrating the research into clinical practice, and I point out why conducting research in your private practice is worth doing. The remainder of the paper provides a primer, describing strategies for implementing in a clinical setting all the elements of the research enterprise: addressing ethical and legal issues, keeping up to date with the scientific literature, selecting a good research question, conducting a single-case experimental design, finding collaborators and assistants, collecting the data, analyzing the data, writing the paper and getting it published, and handling time and money. Although this paper focuses on research in a solo or group private practice setting, many of the strategies described here can also prove useful in the conduct of research in hospital or community settings. Collecting and utilizing data in industrial production are becoming increasingly important. One promising approach to utilize data is the concept of digital twin (DT). DTs are virtual representations of physical assets, updated by real data and enhanced by models. This paper provides an overview of DTs for cutting processes. After giving a definition, we discuss requirements derived from representative use cases. As process models are central for DT creation, we present an overview of the latest research as well as conditions for how it can be implemented in industrial environments. High-performance three-phase motor drives require accurate and robust acquisition of angular position and stator currents. A resolver sensor is widely used for angle measurement in harsh environmental conditions. This sensor receives a sinusoidal excitation signal and produces two amplitude-modulated outputs. Frequency division multiplexing is a useful alternative to simplify the data acquisition system (DAQ) to acquire the signals from stator current sensors and the resolver angular position sensor: a current signal and a resolver output are combined to produce a signal sent to the DAQ. In most cases, the sinusoidal excitation signal of the resolver is less than the switching frequency of the motor drive inverter. As a result, current signals may produce a significant interference in the angle estimation when the frequency of the resolver excitation signal is low. This paper describes an improved multiplexing approach where the resolver excitation frequency is 1.5 times the inverter switching frequency. Thus, the spectra of the resolver outputs and the stator currents are located further from each other, reducing the angle estimation interference. Synchronous sampling allows for the recovery of the current signals. A notch filter is added to an angle tracking observer to reduce even further this interference. Three different tests considering different operation conditions were performed. The proposed angle estimation method has less root mean square error in the angle estimation than other approaches (e.g., without using a notch filter or using a low resolver excitation frequency). One such indicator is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), which evaluates equipment efficiency based on availability, performance, and quality. However, with the advent of the digital industry, the management of data for efficiency calculations has become increasingly complex. In this context, this paper proposes a digitized, real-time OEE calculation system that leverages advanced technologies to continuously monitor OEE, enable real-time decision-making, and drive performance improvements. Harnessing the potential of digitalization, the system facilitates seamless data collection, analysis, and reporting while automating manual processes. By focusing on OEE as a comprehensive efficiency indicator, the proposed system aims to enhance organizational performance and establish a foundation for calculating other efficiency measures. The implementation of intelligent techniques produces good results in automating fault finding and predicting future outcomes. These approaches have been on the increase in the past years, especially so to detect faults within Compressed Air Systems (CASs). With the use of intelligent techniques, one could minimise the manual and time-consuming aspect of CAS maintenance, improve the environmental impact of the system, while minimising downtime. This paper proposes a general framework for the implementation of intelligent analysis techniques within a real-world system. Such an approach has been implemented on the demand-side of a CAS. In literature, no open datasets are available for use by artificial intelligence models. Hence, as part of this research, a fault generating and monitoring system has been connected to an existing production machine in a manufacturing site to collect the required data. Two classification machine learning methods were implemented and compared across a number of performance metrics. Both the general framework, and its implementation, provide a stepping stone in integrating smart systems with real-time intelligent data analytics for the demand-side of a CAS. This paper examines a methodology used identify question types and questioning techniques teachers use in primary and secondary classrooms during both expositional lessons (teacher explains learning material to students) and practical lessons (students learn through doing; teacher guides students’ actions), and why these are used. To draw out this information, a mixed methods approach of survey, observation and interview, conducted in 2018 and 2019 in Australian schools was adopted. The three gathering approaches combined to provide a complementary triangulation of data through Stage 1 Survey (broadening the knowledge about question types); Stage 2 Observation (confirmation of the survey data in classrooms) and Stage 3 Interview (understand why teachers use certain questions in expositional and practical lessons). There are many examples in the literature that supported using data collection elements of survey, observation, and interview to understand what questioning teacher use in their classroom, but few examples of prior studies triangulating the data with all three data sources. The mixed method allowed rich data collection about types of questions that teachers use and deepened understanding to why teachers used certain questioning in expositional and practical lessons. This paper presents a novel control strategy to minimize residual vibrations and overshoot using inertial dampers in repetitive tasks. In this work, vibration data collected during repeating task is utilized to generate a fully pre-scheduled feedforward compensation signal that assists the inertial damper's original feedback controller to further enhance its vibration mitigation capability. Optimal feedforward signal is determined iteratively over successive operations considering the actuator stroke and force limits. Numerical and experimental results validate the approach demonstrating significant (up to 87%) reduction in peak vibration while using equal or less actuator force as compared to the conventional control.
