With the recognition of sustainable development improving gradually, low carbon campus construction has become a trend in international society. The ecological footprint model is a kind of effective method to measure the sustainable development and have some reference for low carbon campus study. Our case study is the ecological footprint of paper consumption in Dalian University of Technology, China. The results show that nearly 481.60 hm2 of ecologically productive lands were needed to support paper consumption and this means that the land consumed by the university is 2.28 times larger than its physical or built-up land. Within 2011 academic year, the reused paper flow was added up to 237.69 tons, of which library contributed the most with 164.98 tons and the remaining 72.71 tons came from secondhand books obtained from last academic year 2010, finally saved nearly 578.33 hm2 of forest land.

For the regular rectangular paper scraps recovery problem, at first, I used the edge detection based on the improved wavelet analysis to numerically describe the outline of words on each of the pieces. Secondly, screening according to the line spacing to find out paper scraps which are located in the edge. Thirdly, do initial matching to select the best line as a benchmark for two-dimensional double match splicing. At last, I used two-dimensional double match to make the whole stitching come out. In this paper, the data would use the 2013 China National University Mathematical Modeling Competition topic B official data. The model not only can solve the problem of this article, also can be used to solve the problem of similar cutting conditions.

Most of the scientific research engines utilize the same way to rank scientific research papers (SRP), this way is highly depend on the citation network. The retrieved results of these engines for any keyword contain old papers with the highest citation value. In this paper, we proposed a new and easy to implement ranking algorithm for scientific research papers known as Paper Time Ranking Algorithm (PTRA). PTRA is a new ranking algorithm that depends on three factors to rank its results; paper age, citation index and publication venue. To construct and prove our ranking algorithm we created a web crawler that crawl different scientific search papers databases in the world to collect the information that PTRA needs. Unfortunately, some of this information was missing, such as, the impact factor of the journals. To collect this information, we created another crawler that search the Internet for these journals impact factors. However, to prove our ranking algorithm results, we have compared PTRA with Google scholar ranking algorithm. We used Google scholar, since it has more than 50 million papers and its own system can gather and collect papers in a faster way. Our comparison results show that, citation index has the highest impact on Google scholars ranking algorithm results. Unlike PTRA that gains the paper age a higher impact on the ranked results. However, PTRA depends on the citation index and publication venue to rank the results but with less impact than the paper age.

College English examination is an important part of university English education, for the difficult problems in the process of examination organization and management, in this paper, the intelligent test paper composition research based on genetic algorithm. First, basic research, including the basic idea of genetic algorithm, algorithm flow and perform operations on groups; then, studies test paper composition model, the test paper problem described as question number, question types, difficulty, discrimination, score, answer time, using the frequency property and other attributes, constituted seven dimensional vector. Finally, test paper composition design, to generate the initial population, fitness function design, operation operator design, algorithm terminates and others, four key steps were designed. The content of this paper to meet the quality and speed requirements of university English test paper composition, and has the advantages of randomness, scientificalness and so on.

In this paper, the stiffness and folding endurance of the paper were investigated with three kinds of pulp, such as the mechanical wood pulp, chemical pulp and composite pulp, after using common additives and cleaning additives. The results indicated that the stiffness of the paper can be increased by 20% ~ 30% and folding endurance can improve 20% ~ 60% after using new kind of cleaning additives no matter what kind of filler. New cleaning additives can not only improve the physical properties of paper, but also change "acidic papermaking" of the traditional paper industry into clean neutral papermaking environment. Especially, it is suitable for the production of food card paper.

In order to realize precise control of the vertical inverting feeding of paper, the paper proposes the scheme to analyse the accuracy. Based on the geometric constraint relations of the feeding device, the position constraint equation of the device is established, together with the speed-acceleration formula; and the relationship between the paper inverting deviation angle and its drop height is obtained using the general equation of dynamics of the horizontal projectile motion as vertical inverting accuracy analysis of the device. The results of the study show that the precise control of the vertical inverting feeding of paper can be realized through the control of the angle.

Compared with the lithography and traditional technology, ink-jet printing technology has huge advantages such as reducing costs, improving production efficiency and reducing environment damage. The silver nanoparticles conductive ink used as core material in ink-jet printing technology has been greatly developed. At present, the conductive inks for printed circuit usually has high sintering temperature, low adhesion, poor mechanical properties, high cost, which limit the further industrial application. In this paper, nano silver pulp was prepared through liquid phase reduction method, and a self-made protective agent ensured that the particle size distribution of silver particles is about 5nm. The above silver pulp was dispersed in the organic resin to get conductive ink with 20% (wt%) silver content. Under 170°Csintering, the electrical conductivity of the ink layer was 1.15×104S/m.

This paper proposed an improved method based on adaptive with threshold wavelet transform denoising, according to image is often affected by noise pollution in the process of acquisition and transmission, compared with the advantages and disadvantages of traditional digital filtering method. It extracts the structure information and details of the image. It can adaptively select wavelet transform of optimal decomposition level and soft threshold to achieve the optimal noise reduction effect. The Simulation results demonstrate that this theory can effectively filter Gaussian noise and Salt and pepper noise, at the same time well protect the image details and achieve better visual effects.

The contribution deals with the possibilities of the use of existing commercially available vectorization programs for recognition drawing entities in raster graphics format obtained by scanning of the engineering drawing. Drawing entities as a line (solid, dashed, dot-dashed etc.), dimension, hatch, various symbols, text, etc., have specific semantic for the designer defined by standards. Expert knows to interpret this graphic language and he knows to create a mental model of the real object. To be able interpret digital content of the engineering drawing obtained by scanning by the form of 3D computer model often requires to perform many intelligent operations. In the first step it is necessary to obtain such vector representation of the scanned drawing to be able to identify the original drawing entities. Suitability of using the contemporary commercial vectorizing programs for engineering drawings was verified on the test sample of the drawing entities and the results are published in the paper.

The feasibility of pulp and paper mill wastewater sludge as substrates for biogas production was evaluated in labrotory scale. Also the influence of pre-acidification, feeding modes and sludge concentration on anaerobic digestion system were studied.

In this paper, Genetic Algorithm (GA) method has been applied in the moisture control system for auto tuning (PID) parameters. Proportional – Integral – Derivatives control scheme is used to provide an efficient and quiet easier in control engineering applications. Most of the PID tuning methods are used as manually which is difficult and time consuming. Genetic Algorithm which leads to improve the efficiency of tuning of process. The proposed algorithm is used to tune the PID parameters and its performance has been compared with Fuzzy logic techniques.Compare to the fuzzy logic technique dynamic performance specfications such as rise time, peak time and peak overshoot optimal values produced by GA. The plant model represented by the transfer function is obtained by the system identification tool box.

Proportional – Integral – Derivatives control scheme is used to provide an efficient and quiet easier in control engineering applications. Most of the Conventional PID tuning methods are used in manually which is difficult and time consuming. Soft Computing Technique is used to overcome this problem by using Fuzzy logic technique. In this research focuses dynamic performance specification is such as rise time, settling time and peak over shoot. This paper proposes to compare conventional and non-conventional techniques and the result of this comparison, The non-conventional technique (Fuzzy logic) has optimal dynamic performance. The plant model is represented by the transfer function, is obtained by the system identification tool box.

The influence of coating layer structure on both physical and printing quality of the paper was studied. Different coating layers were obtained by changing the ratio of polyvinyl alcohol adhesives and silicon dioxide pigments in the coating formula. Then the structure, physical properties and ink-jet printing performance of the coated paper were measured. The influences of coating structure on physical properties and ink-jet printing performance were evaluated. The results showed that as the ratio of adhesive increased, the coating porosity decreased; the average pore diameter increased at first and then decreased, but in general tended to decrease; the initial drop contact angle increased, which testified the stronger hydrophobicity of the coated surface with higher adhesive ratio. The average pore diameter has a negative linear correlation with paper roughness while has a positive linear correlation with air permeability. The larger the average pore diameter, the greater the density values, as well as the better tone reproduction and the larger color gamut range. Average pore diameter also has a weak correlation with dot area and dot roundness.

Copper-nickel alloys have been used in many applications in marine environments because of excellent corrosion and biofouling resistance. . This investigation is cover a review of many previous studies about the behavior of these alloys in marine environments with different environmental conditions including the effect of sulphur contamination, the effect of CO2, the effect of chlorine, the effect of flow velocity, the effect of temperature and the effect of adding some alloying elements to the alloy itself. There have been conflicting results in the past about the corrosion rate values and the chemical analysis of the corrosion films in different environmental conditions. More research is needed for studying the behavior of these alloys in marine environments to provide good assessment of the corrosion resisting characteristics.

The restoration of regular paper fragments can be solved just as the Traveling Salesman Problem. Paper pretreatment and edge matching are the main steps during the restoration process, which contain binarization, screening between the left and right boundary depending the width of paper margins. For some longer paper fragments, the transverse splicing can be realized with Greed Algorithm. But the algorithm will get a non-ideal restoration for more fine paper fragments. Therefore the noise-suppressed processing before clustering from line to line through projection is essential in order to make sure that the regular English fragments can get the regularity like Chinese characters. The two experiments get an 100% correct rates when using the method combining the improved genetic algorithm for traveling salesman problem.combining the improved genetic algorithm for traveling salesman problem.

There are many researches about the effect of oil/paper proportion, testing temperature, AC/DC ratio and other effects on the breakdown characteristics of oil-paper insulation under the composite electric field. However, the breakdown characteristics of oil-paper insulation under the composite electric field in the process of ageing are rarely reported. In this paper, the breakdown characteristics of the oil impregnated insulation paper with different ageing condition under the composite electric field were investigated. Results show that there is no necessary link between the breakdown characteristics and the ageing degree of oil-paper insulation. The breakdown voltage value decreased with the rise of the AC component under the composite electric field. The breakdown voltage with aged paper changed by new paper is slightly higher than that of the aged oil being changed by new oil.

A set of paper defect extraction IP core based on FPGA is introduced in this paper. Relying on FPGA powerful data processing capabilities and parallel architecture, the paper image acquisition, pre-processing and defect extraction function were achieved in an IP core. The IP core has been testing and running in some paper defect detection and recognition systems. As a result the system was stable and reliable which could ensure to achieve a paper defect extraction function. And it contributes to the design of paper defect detection and recognition system.

In order to meet the demand of test paper in the network test system, the paper establishes test paper mathematical model, uses the integer coding strategy, and applies the improved genetic algorithm to the auto-generating test paper module. This paper deals with the study of factors which are affecting basis weight sensor measuring accuracy, the Z distance, XY dislocation, air gap temperature, dust and paper grades. The calibration techniques and solving methods of accurately measuring are given. Automatic calibration and range division are combined to improve the accuracy of basis weight sensor, and the BW measuring precision is reasonable. Static accuracy (2σ) is 0.20% and dynamic accuracy (2σ) is 0.25% at the range of 10 g/m2-1500 g/m2.

This paper discusses the regular longitudinalcutting torn scraps of paper splicing. The degree of similarity of two scraps is acquired according to their pixel characteristics. Then this splicing problem can be converted into TSP problem and the Optimization Model can be established. After the leftist torn scrap of paper been found, the remaining paper can be attached one by one according to the pixel characteristics. Finally, the best algorithm of single page Stitching recovery is given by this paper.

This paper provides an automatic method of splicing shredded printed paper which was shredded by shredder. A splicing degree function was defined by using bicubic spline technology. Based on the splicing degree function, a 0-1 mixed integer programming model was used to solve the shredded paper splicing problem. The whole solving process was automatic, and the result was perfect.

Recently, with rapid development of computer/network technology and algorithms for composing test paper, cyber-based online examination system is a practically valuable hot research concern. In the paper, the mathematical model is created for solving problems with the online test paper composition system. Through comparative analysis of merits and shortcomings of various coding schemes, and to overcome the shortcoming that traditional genetic algorithms easily fall into premature convergence, it utilizes the adaptive adjustment method of dynamic parameters and elitist strategy to improve to develop the online test paper forming scheme based on adaptive genetic algorithm. For the selection of each parameter, simulation test is conducted to obtain the solution approximate to the best one.

In this paper we analysed application status and reasons of recycled paper, researched physical properties, mechanical properties, optical properties, chemical properties and printing adaptability of recycled paper and tested the important indexes . The test data was compared with ordinary offset paper and there is little difference. The result shows recycled paper can be wildly used for offices, book, paper toys etc.

As traditional Preformatted Paper Printing methods can't adapt to the changes of document style and they have made poor performance on document security, in this paper, we have presented a PDF-based solution for Preformatted Paper Printing. The solution consists of three levels, including data organization layer, template editing and configuration layer, and PDF file generation layer. The data organization layer is mainly to solve the problem of data extraction and summary from heterogeneous databases. The template editing and configuration layer focuses on solving the printing template design and data output mapping problem. The PDF file generation layer is mainly to generate and merge the PDF file using iTextSharp component. The scheme can flexibly adapt to changes in content and style, set up parameters simultaneously to prevent a tamper, and undertake operations such as reprint, archive, distribution and so forth. At last, we have verified the solutions performance by the case of university admission notice-Generating. The result shows that our solution is effective.

The system uses B / S mode and ASP as the web-based support and connects with the SQL Server 2005 database, which realizes the automatic and manual assessment of Photoshop course exam management operations. At the same time, it will be able to generate paper reference to test the difficulty levels of papers.

Nowadays, the computer is increasingly popular, and college examination is developing in the direction of traditional examination means to automation and intelligence ones gradually, all these make it inevitable to construct question bank for courses, and to generate test paper using computers. This paper uses the Delphi technique, to make improvements to existing components, combining with VBA programming, and use of SQL Server to implement the question bank management and test paper auto-generation system, which could generate test paper in Word Document. A large number of tests show that the software is running stably and system features are functioning correctly on Windows 2000/XP/2003 platform with Office XP/2003 environment.

In this paper a new method is proposed for intelligent sort of battery from waste paper based on Invariant Moments and Fractal Dimension (IMFD). In IMFD, a new distinctive feature that based on the edge contours is extracted to describe the target picture. At first invariant moments technique is used to extract Hus seven moments as the global descriptors from the target image. Then the fractal dimensions are extracted as local invariant descriptors by using Fractal Dimension. At last, a combing descriptor is built according the distinctive feature, which combines the global descriptor and the local descriptor together. The features are highly distinctive, and can be matched with high probability against a large database of features. The practical tests performed in this article show that the proposed method has a significant effect on increasing the stability, the accuracy of classification, and also can effectively against the huge-information during the image processing.

An investigation on the migration of various migrants from paper (board) into solid food simulants was undertaken to determine the correlation of partition coefficients between food simulants / paper, KF,P, and octanol/water, KO,W. The migration tests were carried out using four solid food simulants (rice powder, milk powder, white sugar and rice) in contact with a kind paper which was spiked with 5 compounds. These model migrants cover a wide range of potential migrants in paper (board) food packaging materials and can be characterized by octanol/water partition coefficients ranging from log KO,W = 2.293 to 4.496. In all simulants a correlation of increasing log KO, W with increasing log KF,P was found. Using the correlation line as a calibration curve, log KF, P can be predicted from the log KO, W values of the migrants for a given food stimulant. This approach is a new estimation procedure to obtain KF, P values from easily accessible KO,W values which can significantly reduce the efforts for compliance assessment by minimizing time and costs to be spent compared to carrying out an enormous number of specific migration test. Furthermore, this approach will support experimental migration testing since it provides a method to determine which simulant is appropriate for a given foodstuff.

The main objective was to develop a technique by high performance liquid chromatography to study migration of contamination from packaging material of three samples of paper cups with different properties. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and benzophenone (BP), which are the most commonly used in paper packaging material, are regarded as stimulant of contamination, alcohol is selected as food stimulant.The obtained data indicated that migration has a relationship with the type of contamination,concentration of food stimulant.Analysed by1stOptsoftware with experimental result, the rule of migration of DBP and BP can be studied.

In digital printing process, the color reproduction quality is no longer determined by  printing sequence, trapping, solid density and etc., since the technique is different from traditional printing technology. In order to analyze the effects of paper on color reproduction quality in digital ink-jet printing, three kinds of commercial paper were selected and a set of experiments were carried out by using color management technique to simulate the digital proofing. The density and chromaticity of both primary color and composite color in each printed were measured. The effects of paper’s characters on shadow, mid-tone and highlight were analyzed and discussed. Finally the influence on color reproduction quality principle, including chromaticity and absorbing characteristics of paper, was revealed. The conclusion has certain significance in directive function in ink-jet printing.

IIndoor photo has been widely used in products of shopping malls publicity, light box advertising, wedding photography, posters, engineering and landscape effect picture, digital photo album, art photo, antiquing canvas and window advertising. PP synthetic paper which was the most common indoor photo materials was selected as the research object, and it was printed by the photo printing machine. A series of experiments were carried out according to its printability. The main parameters of PP synthetic paper such as solid density, dot gain and relative contrast were tested, which provided a theoretical and practical basis for digitization of indoor photo.

In order to research the relationship between ink permeability and dot gain of different paper, four kinds of coated paper and two kinds of printing paper were chosen. Ink marks method was used to measure ink permeability of four kinds of coated paper and two kinds of common printing paper. After the ink marks were printed on each of the six kinds of paper, the length of them were measured, then the reciprocal of the ink marks length was multiplied by 1000 to obtain the value of the ink permeability. Inkjet printer was also used to print yellow GATF step-wedge simulating offset printing on the six kinds of paper, then using an optical densitometer to measure the dot gain. Conclusion shows that non-coated paper is higher in permeability than coated paper, which results in high percentage of dot gain.

First, the study chooses ten kinds of offset paper. By using a dynamic penetration analyzer (HVL-PDA) and water as test fluid, the dynamic absorption characteristics of the ten kinds of offset paper are measured. At the same time, proofs of offset printing patterns of these ten kinds of offset paper are made by using a printability tester. Then the depths of ink penetration in ten kinds of offset paper are measured by the Three-dimensional video microscopy system and the study analyzes the effect of paper dynamic absorption property on penetration depth of ink. The results of the analyses show that the penetration depth of ink is closely related to dynamic liquid absorption, thus the permeability of ink in offset paper can be predicted from the dynamic liquid absorption of offset paper.

The material for ink-jet printing is very extensive, but now paper media is the most commonly used one, because the image of glossy ink jet paper printed clear and bright, shiny, light fastness and excellent color fastness in the aspects of indoor display packaging. Therefore, this paper combined the traditional test method and modern computer image analysis technology together, to formation the evaluation system of color rendering performance on a suitable color ink jet paper, in order to qualitative and quantitative evaluate to paper printing color rendering.This paper mainly used six kinds of different brands glossy inkjet paper as the pattern and carries on the experiment measurement and objective visual subjective evaluation. Subjective evaluation aspect, choose a certain number standard observer to do subjective quality evaluation. Objective evaluation aspect, using the experiment testing paper properties, through test the paper print image macro and micro color reference which  on the different brand color ink-jet printing paper, and add the analyze the effects of combined with the basic properties of different paper color rendering of ink-jet paper, to ensure comprehensive and objective reflect the effect of color rendering.Through the above methods, qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate of the different paper pattern of the color rendering performance, it would be provide reference and evaluation method for glossy inkjet paper in the research of color rendering effect.

With the development of estate and decoration industry, decorative paper become more and more popular, people's needs and requirements are also increasing. However, compared with imported decorative base paper, domestic decorative base paper have a lot of quality problems. In order to improve the performance of domestic decorative paper, surface sizing was used to improve the printing performance and final product quality of domestic decorative base paper in this study. Starch and styrene-acrylic emulsion (SAE) were used as the surface sizing agents for the surface treatment of decorative base paper by the German SUMET coating machine in this paper. Under the conditions of sizing roll pressure of 250N, sizing speed 9m/min, drying temperature and time of 100oC and 70s respective, the effects of metering roller type (No.40 and No.30) and different ratios of starch and SAE ratio (10:1, 15:1, 20:1, 25:1 and 30:1) on the decorative base paper printing performance were investigated in this paper. The optimal sizing conditions and formulation for decorative base paper were as follows: roll pressure 250N, sizing speed 9m/min, drying temperature and time of 100℃ and 70s respective, No.30 metering roll, the ration of starch and SAE 20:1. Under this conditions, printing runnability of decorative base paper such as the tensile strength, smoothness were increase greatly and the pH value reached the national standard, the printability such as the color density, tone reproduction range were improved.

Whiteness of wrapping paper is the main affecting factor of printed matter color rendition, the higher the whiteness, the better the results of color rendition. But the result of pursuiting high whiteness is that human eyes are harmed by the photic stimulation of paper-based printed matter. To solve the mentioned above problem, this paper preliminary researches the correlation between paper whiteness and asthenopia, the correlation between printing quality and paper whiteness, for finding out appropriate whiteness that can meet the eyes comfort and have better printing quality. Results show the asthenopia occurs easier as whiteness of wrapping paper increases. Besides, the paper samples with the whiteness values as 89.4% and 96.2% have the better printing quality, and the samples with the whiteness values as 84.6% have the worse printing quality relatively, but the quality gap is not big. Results show the whiteness of samples is between 84.6% and 89.4%, human eyes dont feel asthenopia and the printing quality is better. The research results can provide the theoretical basis for printing and packaging enterprises to choose paper which are suitable for printing packing and have eye-protection function, and contribute to the human eye protection.

The detection of elements in top part of research paper is the key problem in layout analysis, because these elements are often used as the search items by user. This paper provides a index-based method for auto detection of top part from research papers. Different from existing methods, an index is used for detecting items from top part of research paper. Experiments show the advantage of our method over existing methods, and future work is also described in the paper.

As a non-destructive insulation diagnostic technique, the polarization spectrum method based on return voltage measurement has been employed to assess the state of insulation of the transformer. But how does the moisture content affect the parameters of RVM is not clear. In this paper, the effect of moisture content on the parameters of return voltage is studied based on experiments. The result shows that maximum value of return voltage (Urmax) and initial slope (Si) increase with the increase of moisture content in second-order function, while the central time constant (tcdom) decreases with the increase of moisture content in second-order function. The central time constant varies strongly with the change of moisture constant, so it is considered as a reliable indicator to evaluate the moisture level in oil-paper insulation system of transformer.

Paper surface efficiency (PSE), a paper property integrating gloss and absorbency, can be used to evaluate color reproduction after the interaction of paper and ink. But it was shown that the color reproduction was still related to paper whiteness in practice. In this paper, an assumed PSE formula which integrates gloss, whiteness and ink absorbency is firstly presented, and according to experimental data, it can be well forecasted that the change of these principal paper properties would affect color reproduction result via the new PSE formula. The linear relationships between new PSE formula and ink color reproduction based the description of photo-density measurement were studied subsequently. The results showed that new PSE formula can be used to predict effectively ink color effect.

In order to know the coating effect and application of color ink-jet paper, the coating formula and printing quality of ink-jet paper were deeply studied. First of all, the coating liquid was prepared by dispersing and mixing the nanometer pigment, the adhesive and the other additives. Then the properties of ink-jet paper were tested and their surface profiles were characterized and evaluated with scanning electron microscope. Finally, the coating paper samples and the base papers were all printed with color ink-jet printer and measured with a spectrodensitometer. The study result showed that it can gain well coating and printing quality when the ratio of SiO2 and TiO2 is 3:1 and the content of PVA adhesive is 50%, especially paper whiteness is obviously higher than that before the coating.

The X-ray diffraction of hydrated calcium silicate is analyzed and is applied in papermaking. It shows that hydrated calcium silicate have certain crystalline state. The tensile strength, tearing strength and folding strength of paper decrease in different degree with the increase of dosage of hydrated calcium silicate while the whiteness and the printing color density of paper improve. T tensile strength and folding strength of paper decrease in varying degrees with the increase of dosage of PAM while the tearing strength of paper and the whiteness improve. And the printing color density of paper is the same.

Intelligent test paper generation is an important factor for online examination systems, which determines whether the system can be used to effectively test the true levels of the testees. For the current algorithms of test paper generation that is low success rate, long time-consuming and the generated exam papers are difficult to meet actual demands, an intelligent algorithm of test paper generation is presented, that is based on adjusting of overall difficulty degrees of the test questions. According to the levels of difficulty degrees and the number of each type of questions required by the users, an appropriate number of questions for each level of the difficulty degree for the test paper is generated by the algorithm. Then, the corresponding questions are extracted randomly. Simulation results show that the intelligent test paper generation algorithm is faster, of good quality, the generated test papers can meet the actual demands.

According to the problem that the flexibility and efficiency are not high of the current test paper generating system, applying data mining to figure out the inter and intra connection among all the knowledge points of CET-4, mining association rules, and picking out as more potential weaknesses of knowledge points as it can, then selecting items corresponding to the weaknesses and generating a user-level specific suitable test paper. Experiments show that the new test paper generating algorithm (TPGA) based on association rules response intelligently and quickly to different user levels, and provide an essential improvement in test paper generating process for users own good to enhance their exercise results.

The detection of elements in top part of research paper is very important, because these elements are often used as the search items by user. This paper provides a mixed method for auto detection of top part from research paper. The papers feature of keyword, layout and content similarity are mixed to accurately find the area of top part and recognize the elements in top part. Experiments show the advantage of our method over existing methods, and future work is also described in the paper.

In this paper, a vacuum freeze drying equipment was developed for vacuum deacidification of paper relics. The relation between freezing velocity and sample mass was studied experimentally, so did the relation between freezing velocity and pre-freezing time. The results indicated freezing velocity is inversely proportional to sample mass as well as the time used with refrigerating capacity equal to mass fraction of frozen water. Problems like melting or disintegration can be overcome by heating gradually. Radiation heating combined with conduction heating make sure the sample is heated evenly. Moreover, vacuum deacidification is available to remove acid of paper relics, and paper relics are kept intact by means of vacuum freeze-drying.

Paper tension is the most important control parameter in roll material production that directly impacts the printing quality of the web offset. Based on the closed-loop paper tension control theory, by conducting a research into the simulation of paper tension control system with MATLAB/SIMULINK, presented the closed-loop control diagram about the paper tension control system. Under different control parameter, the value of the overshoot, respond speed and residual of the system varies. As a result, the quantitative research on the simulation of the system offers a valid means in improving the control accuracy.

As demand for clean and healthy environment, people make many alternate solutions to save the environment. To save trees and overcome landfill of waste material and waste disposal by burning activities issues (cause to losing energy and increase pollution), people nowadays take recycling as a recovery. Recycling waste paper into new product increased over the years. Shortage of wood supply required new sources of natural fiber for papermaking industry. Many researchers have studied new sources of natural fibers from non wood materials, such as oil palm residues, kenaf (Hibiscus Cannabinus), pineapple leaf, banana, and coconut fiber. Kenaf is choose as reinforcement agent for recycled waste paper to maximize the use of kenaf in industry application due its wide range of advantages where pineapple leaf are choose as reinforcement agent because abundantly of these material in Malaysia. Reinforcement of natural fiber into waste paper during recycling process expected to increased strength properties of final product. To understand the right and suitable processing method for kenaf fiber and pineapple leaf leaves previous work from other researchers are studied to investigate pulping procedure of natural fiber and its effect on mechanical strength.

This research is about an attempt to evaluate the effect of water contents towards the packaging properties of paper made from coconut coir, which was being processed manually through beating times method. The purpose of this investigation is to relate the composition of coconut fibre and water content with the tensile strength and tear factor. The composition starts from sample A, which has 90% of water and 10% of coconut fibre. The sample continues with 10% decreasing content of water and 10% increment of coconut coir. Base on tensile test and tear test results, graphs were plotted and it shows sample D, with 60% of water and 40% of coconut coir has produced the highest tensile strength, breaking length and tensile index, with the value of 1020.6 N/m, 422.8 m and 4.1450 Nm/g respectively. On the other hand, sample A produced the highest tear factor, with the value of 92.7 g/mm2. As a conclusion, these packaging properties are good enough to become guidance in paper manufacturing industry, as well as to support the application of coconut coir fibre as an alternative packaging material in the future.
