Abstract

The article focuses on using reduced-risk pest management programs and biological control for mite management. It says that a greater number of mite generations during a season poses a possibility of increased resistance potential to the miticide management programs being used, so each mite generation should be treated using pesticides of different classes of chemistry. The use of oil and non-chemical control strategies like biological control can also reduce the resistance potential of mites.
