Abstract
- The article discusses the need to improve the nutritional values of foods along with the efforts of addressing global food scarcity. It mentions that improvements in the area of genetic biodiversity will result to nutritionally-upgraded plants. It discusses the use of various methods to enhance the nutritional contents of plants including selective breeding, management techniques, and application of fertilisers.
