Abstract

The article reports on legal developments relating to the regulation of product characteristics in the field of marketing in the U.S. The author discusses product warranties issued after the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in relation to product standard regulations. The disclosure of warranty terms is also discussed. Information about a trade regulation associated with product quality in the used automobile industry is included. A U.S. Federal Trade Commission regulation concerning consumer protection within the credit industry is also mentioned.
