Abstract

According to a report by Gitnux, 85% of U.S. employees have experienced workplace conflict, spending an average of 2.8 hours per week resolving disagreements. Conflict resolution can be beneficial if managed properly, but it can also lead to stress, anxiety, and decreased motivation. Poor workplace culture and clashes between personalities or egos were identified as the main causes of conflict. However, conflict should not be discouraged, as it can lead to better decision-making and innovation. Strategies for navigating conflict include challenging perspectives, responding with respect, and embracing the benefits of disagreement. [Extracted from the article]
