Abstract

A study conducted by Universitas Diponegoro in Semarang, Indonesia, investigated the effectiveness of different physical forms of feed containing waste and concentrate feed on the performance, rumen characteristics, and chewing activity of sheep. The study found that the different physical forms of feed did not significantly affect the dry matter intake, average daily gain, and feed conversion ratio of the sheep. Additionally, the study concluded that dried waste was environmentally friendly for mitigating enteric methane emissions by sheep. This research provides valuable insights into feed management systems for sheep and their impact on environmental sustainability. [Extracted from the article]
