The article provides an sales update on the pretzels category of the U.S. snack food industry, as of July 2018, which includes the growth in pretzel segment within the salty snacks category, decline in the frozen pretzel segment, and the move of snack producers to look toward use of ingredients like sprouted grains and sorghum.
