Abstract
- The article discusses decisions made by teachers that can advance chance for students regardless of intention and mentions classroom discussion to examine nature of equity and teaching practice. Topics discussed include equity promoted by teachers in classroom through participation, children marginalized by schools due to race and ethnicity and use of equity strategies by teachers adaptively.
