Abstract

In view of the social changes that we are currently experiencing, there is a need to promote effective equality and gender equity in higher education studies. From this perspective, gambling as a methodology that bases its principles on the recreational components of games allows the promotion of gender equality in the processes of teaching and learning in university studies. The work presented is part of the research carried out from the development of a teaching innovation project for the implementation of active methodologies (gambling with badges) with the intention of promoting the acquisition of content by students in the Social Education Degree, as well as an improvement in their perception of gender equity. The methodology used was quantitative, with an ad hoc pre- and post-gammarization questionnaire. The results of the implementation of the gamification as an active methodology for teaching were evaluated as highly positive. Finally, the use of this methodology significantly increased the acquisition of the contents of the subject, in addition to observing a favourable trend in the perceptions and attitudes of the students regarding key aspects of equal opportunities between women and men.
