The Supporting Inclusive School Leadership (SISL) project investigates how to develop and promote inclusive school-level leadership through national and local-level policy frameworks and support mechanisms. The SISL Self-Reflection Tool aims to stimulate professional dialogue and collaborative policy development within and across schools and at different policy levels. It is intended for: school leaders and leadership teams seeking guidance in adopting and developing inclusive leadership practices; policy-makers responsible for developing and implementing policies for inclusive education at national, regional and/or local levels. This self-reflection tool builds on two issues from the SISL policy framework: aspirational standards for inclusive school leadership and the supportive policy framework. It enables reflection and exchange among the different stakeholders to identify gaps that need to be addressed. The self-reflection tool is open-source, so users may adapt it to their own needs and contexts, provided they include a reference to the original source. Smrt je pojav, s katerim se srečujemo vsak dan, pa vseeno neradi razmišljamo o njem. Bolj močno se ga zavemo, ko izgubimo koga od naših dragih. Takrat moramo iti skozi proces žalovanja, ki pa ga dosti lažje prenesemo, če smo vsaj malo pripravljeni na to, da se tak dogodek lahko zgodi. Včasih potrebujemo pomoč, da prebolimo izgubo bližnje osebe in takrat je zelo pomembno, da to pomoč dobimo. Tudi otroci v osnovnih šolah se srečujejo s smrtjo. Izguba bližnje osebe je za marsikaterega otroka zelo težka in ker je velikokrat njegova družina sama preobremenjena s prebolevanjem izgube, je pomembno, da se ponudi pomoč otroku v šoli. Naloga govori o pomoči žalujočemu otroku v osnovni šoli. V teoretičnem delu se dotakne pojma smrti in žalovanja na splošno, opiše faze žalovanja, ki naj bi jih ob smrti bližnje osebe predelal vsak človek. Sledi podrobna analiza razumevanja in doživljanja smrti pri različno starih otrocih. V nadaljevanju so opisane potrebe žalujočih otrok ter ustrezna pomoč. V zadnjem poglavju se naloga dotakne pomoči žalujočemu učencu v osnovni šoli ter preventivnega pogovora. Empirični del temelji na odgovorih 288 anketiranih učiteljev, šolskih svetovalnih delavcev ter vodstva šole (ravnatelji in pomočniki ravnateljev) iz slovenskih osnovnih šol. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da se večina anketiranih zaveda pomena pomoči žalujočemu učencu ter pogovora z učenci o tej temi. Načrtovane pomoči žalujočim učencem je v Sloveniji izredno malo, kjer pa je, jo v večini izvajata šolska svetovalna služba ali učitelji. Več kot polovica anketiranih se čuti usposobljenih za pogovor z učenci o temi smrti, manj se jih počuti usposobljenih za pomoč žalujočim učencem. Glede dodatnih izobraževanj je več kot polovica anketiranih odgovorila, da si želi dodatnih izobraževanj na to temo. Death is a phenomenon that we encounter every day but we still do not like to think about it. We become more aware of it when we lose someone from our loved ones. Then we have to go through the process of mourning but it is much easier to cope with it if we are at least a little bit prepared for the fact that such an event could happen. Sometimes we need help to get over the loss of a loved one and then it is very important to get this help. Even children in primary schools are faced with death. The loss of a close person is difficult for some children and because the family is often too occupied with dealing with the loss it is very important to offer assistance to a child at school. The diploma is about the help to a grieving child in a primary school. The theoretical part deals with the terms ‘death’ and ‘mourning’ in general, describes the stages of mourning which should be processed by every person. A detailed analysis of understanding and experiencing of death for different aged children follows. Different needs of grieving children and appropriate assistance are described. The last chapter describes assistance to a grieving child and preventive conversation. The empirical part is based on the responses of 288 surveyed teachers, school counsellors and school leaders (principals and assistant principals) from the Slovene primary schools. The result analysis has shown that the majority of the surveyed people are aware of the importance of helping the grieving children and discussing the topic with them. There is not a lot of planned assistance to the children in need. But where it is it is offered by the school counsellors and teachers. More than half of the respondents feel qualified to talk with pupils about the topic of death, the less they feel qualified to assist grieving pupils. Regarding additional training, more than half of the respondents replied that they want additional education on the topic.

Šolska svetovalna služba in vodstvo šole sta najmanjša, a zelo pomembna podsistema šole s številnimi obveznostmi in širokim delovnim področjem. Ravnatelj je postavljen na čelo šole kot njen poslovni in pedagoški vodja in s tem v eni osebi združuje številne naloge, ki so vezane na vzgojno-izobraževalni proces in zagotavljanje pogojev zanj. Predvsem v vzgojno-izobraževalne naloge je pogosto vključena tudi šolska svetovalna služba, ki sodeluje z vsemi udeleženci vzgojno-izobraževalnega procesa in je integrirana v različna področja dela šole. V diplomskem delu smo opisali glavne naloge šolske svetovalne službe in vodstva šole, izpostavili pa smo tudi konkretna področja, na katerih podsistema sodelujeta. Ugotovili smo, da ravnatelji šolski svetovalni službi pogosto poverjajo naloge v zvezi z vzpostavljanjem in ohranjanjem stikov z javnimi strokovnimi zavodi, sodelovanje s starši in oblikovanje oddelkov. Zaradi razlik v konkretnih potrebah šole seveda prihaja do poverjanja različnih nalog, ki so včasih odvisne tudi od strokovnega profila šolskih svetovalnih delavcev. V empiričnem delu smo opravili študijo primera na Osnovni šoli Radlje ob Dravi in ugotovili, da vodstvo te šole uspešno sodeluje s šolsko svetovalno službo, ki je vključena v vsa za njeno stroko relevantna področja dela šole, hkrati pa kljub nekaterim poverjenim nalogam ni preobremenjena, saj je na prvem mestu še vedno neposredno delo z otroki. Pri tem ima vso podporo vodstva šole. Der Beratungsdienst und die Schulleitung stellen zwei der kleinsten Untersysteme einer Schule dar, die aber sehr wichtig sind und einen sehr breiten Arbeitsumfeld haben. Die Schulleitung übernimmt gleichzeitig die Aufgaben der pädagogischen und der geschäftlichen Leitung der Schule und befasst sich so mit zahlreichen Aufgaben rund um den Erziehungs- und Ausbildungsprozess und die Sicherstellung der Bedingungen für das Funktionieren dieses Prozesses. In die Aufgaben, die vor allem den Erziehungs- und Ausbildungsprozess angehen, ist oft auch der Beratungsdienst eingeschlossen. Der Beratungsdienst kooperiert mit allen Teilnehmern dieses Prozesses und ist in verschiedene Arbeitsbereiche der Schule integriert. In der Diplomarbeit wurden die wichtigsten Aufgaben des Beratungsdienstes und der Schulleitung beschrieben und die konkreten Arbeitsbereiche, auf denen beide Untersysteme aufeinander treffen, hervorgehoben. Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Schulleitung einige ihrer Aufgaben oft dem Beratungsdienst anvertraut. Zu diesen Aufgaben gehören: Kontaktherstellung und –erhaltung mit öffentlichen Fachinstituten, Zusammenarbeit mit den Eltern und Klassenbildung. Verschiedene Schulen haben verschiedene Bedürfnisse und so wird auch der Beratungsdienst je nach diesen Bedürfnissen und den Berufsprofilen der Berater mit verschiedenen Aufgaben beauftragt. Im empirischen Teil der Diplomarbeit wurde eine Fallstudie an der Grundschule Osnovna šola Radlje ob Dravi durchgeführt, in der festgestellt wurde, dass die Schulleitung und der Beratungsdienst sehr gut mit einander kooperieren. Der Beratungsdienst ist auf der einen Seite in alle für seine Arbeit relevanten Arbeitsbereiche der Schule einbezogen und auf der anderen Seite nicht mit zusätzlichen Aufgaben überfordert, denn die Prioritätsaufgabe ist immer die unmittelbare Arbeit mit den Kindern. Hierbei wird der Beratungsdienst voll von der Schulleitung unterstützt.

34. The symptomatology of a surpassing disaster: Narrativization and temporality in the work of Walid Raad.

Since the 1990s, the common thread to artistic practices based on the collection, archiving and presentation of historical documents can be derived from what is happening with the space, time and the regimes of visibility and knowledge as part of digital reproductivity. Nevertheless, roughly two separate key approaches can be identified: construction approaches that are often designed as an intervention in the dominant historiographical practice, on the one hand, and approaches focusing on the study of infrastructural, epistemological and other conditions for the possibility of archiving and historicization in general, on the other. The latter approaches frequently question the standard treatment of documents that is most often based on the ability to trace their origin as well as on their presumptive expressive and narrative potentials. The article therefore analyses the approach to studying history adopted by Lebanese-American artist Walid Raad, drawing from the performance-lecture Les Louvres and/or Kicking the Dead, which is part of a broader project about "a history of art in the Arab world". In the process of defining the specifics of Raad's approach based on the concepts of "spaces of interrupted histories" and "self-historicization", the article draws a comparison between artistic uses of documents in the context of former socialist countries and the Middle East or, more specifically, the Lebanese socio-political context. Instead of unifying both "spaces of interrupted histories" by focusing on narrativization and temporality in Raad's work, I concentrate mostly on the differences. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Inkluzija je proces, ki otrokom s posebnimi potrebami (OPP) zagotavlja možnost izobraževanja skupaj z vrstniki. Temelji na vključevanju posameznika tako v šolsko kot družbeno okolje in poudarja sprejemanje medsebojnih razlik. Inkluzija pa ne zagotavlja le optimalnega razvoja potencialov nekaterih otrok, ampak stremi h kakovostnejšemu poučevanju za vse otroke. Večina OPP ima možnost izobraževanja v rednih osnovnih šolah (OŠ), so pa za to prikrajšani otroci z motnjo v duševnem razvoju (MDR), med katere spadajo tudi otroci z Downovim sindromom (DS). Zakon o usmerjanju otrok s posebnimi potrebami (2011) sicer navaja, da imajo otroci z MDR možnost vključevanja v prilagojeni izobraževalni program, ki se izvaja skupaj z vrstniki v rednih OŠ. Ta omogoča izobraževanje s prilagojenim predmetnikom in učnim načrtom ter prehajanje med nivoji izobraževanja. To pa se v praksi žal ne uresničuje. Zato bi bile potrebne celovite sistemske spremembe na področju izobraževanja in zakonodaje. Uresničevanje inkluzivne prakse pa ni odvisno le od slednjega, ampak na to vpliva več dejavnikov. Eden od njih je podpora na ravni šole. Vodstvo šole mora spodbujati inkluzivnost in strokovnim delavcem omogočati profesionalna usposabljanja. Od učiteljeve pedagoške prakse pa je potem odvisno, v kolikšni meri se inkluzija uresničuje v praksi. Na uspešno vključevanje vplivajo tudi vrstniki, saj skupaj preživijo velik del dneva. Pomemben dejavnik je tudi družina, ki mora otroku nuditi podporo v različnih obdobjih odraščanja. Prav tako je za uspešno inkluzijo nujno, da med strokovnimi delavci ter njimi in družino poteka dobro medsebojno sodelovanje. Magistrsko delo temelji na predstavitvi primera dobre prakse. Z dobljenimi rezultati smo omogočili vpogled v vključevanje učenca z DS v redno OŠ in osvetlili dejavnike, ki vplivajo na uspešnost inkluzije. V magistrskem delu nas je zanimalo, kako različni dejavniki vplivajo na implementacijo inkluzije v prakso, kateri so potrebni pogoji in kakšne so lahko prednosti ter ovire. Želeli smo raziskati, katere vire pomoči so imeli na voljo starši in strokovni delavci ter koliko podpore so bili v tem procesu deležni oni in učenec z DS. Prikazati smo želeli, s katerimi izzivi se učitelji srečujejo pri poučevanju, kakšne so učinkovite prilagoditve učnega okolja in strategije dela, kako značilnosti in posebne potrebe učenca z DS vplivajo na izobraževalno področje ter socialno vključenost in kakšna je vloga spremljevalke in družine. V ta namen smo v vzorec raziskave vključili 7 učiteljev, ki so učenca z DS poučevali, izvajalko dodatne strokovne pomoči (DSP), njegovo spremljevalko, učenca in njegove starše ter 22 sošolcev. Z učencem smo opravili polstrukturirani intervju, za ugotavljanje socialnega položaja učenca z DS v razredu smo naredili sociogram, za ostale sodelujoče pa smo sestavili vprašalnik z odprtim tipom vprašanj. Analizirali smo tudi dokumente iz učenčeve osebne mape. Vse zbrane podatke smo kvalitativno obdelali in rezultate podkrepili s teoretičnimi spoznanji različnih avtorjev. Na podlagi analize zbranih podatkov smo ugotovili, da je za uspešno vključitev potreben prispevek prav vseh udeleženih. Od staršev do vodstva šole s strokovnimi delavci, spremljevalke, vrstnikov in seveda tudi od volje učenca z DS ter njegovih sposobnosti. Ugotovili smo, da je potrebna podpora na ravni širšega okolja, šole in razreda. Pri tem je pomembno, da starši in strokovni delavci med seboj sodelujejo. Učenec z DS je z ustreznimi prilagoditvami ter dobro podporo družine in podporo na ravni šole dosegel izobraževalne cilje. Z raziskavo smo tudi ugotovili, da ima učenec z DS dobro razvite socialne kompetence, nima težav z vključevanjem v ožje okolje in je dobro sprejet med vrstniki. Učiteljem največji izziv pri poučevanju učenca z DS predstavlja načrtovanje dela in prilagajanje vsebin. Hkrati pa to izpostavljajo kot zelo pomembno, saj so dobro načrtovani individualni cilji posameznega predmeta ključni za delo. Starši in učitelji so si enotni, da bi bilo za izobraževanje otrok z DS treba zagotoviti več podpore s strani države. Inclusion is a process that provides children with special needs (SEN) the opportunity to be educated together with their peers. It is based on the inclusion of the individual in both the school and social environment and emphasizes the acceptance of mutual differences. Inclusion does not only ensure the optimal development of the potential of some children but strives for higher quality teaching and inclusion of all children. The majority of children with special needs have the opportunity to be educated in regular elementary schools but children with intellectual impairment, including children with Down syndrome (DS), are deprived of this. Indeed, the Placement of Children with Special Needs Act (2011) states that children with intellectual impairment have the option of being included in an adapted educational program that is carried out together with their peers in regular elementary schools. This enables education with an adapted course and curriculum, as well as transitions between education levels. Unfortunately, this is not implemented in practice. Therefore, comprehensive systemic changes in the field of education and legislation would be necessary. The implementation of inclusive practice does not only depend on the latter but is influenced by several factors. One of them is support on the school level. School management must promote inclusivity and provide professional workers with professional training. The extent to which inclusion is implemented in practice depends on the teacher's educational competence. Peers also influence successful integration because they spend a large part of the day together. An important factor is also the family which must provide support to the child during different periods of growing up. It is also essential for successful inclusion that there is good cooperation between professionals and the family. The master's thesis is based on the presentation of an example of good practice. By the obtained results, we have provided insight into the inclusion of a student with DS in a regular elementary school and shed light on the factors that influence the success of inclusion. In our master's thesis, we were interested in how various factors influence the implementation of inclusion in practice, what the necessary conditions are, and what can be the advantages and obstacles. We wished to investigate what sources of help were available to parents and professionals and how much support they and the student with DS received in this process. We wanted to show what challenges teachers face when teaching, what the effective adaptations of the learning environment and work strategies are, how the characteristics and special needs of a student with DS affect the educational field and social inclusion, and what the role of the assistant and the family is. For this purpose, we included the following persons in the research sample: seven teachers who taught a student with DS, a provider of additional professional assistance, his assistant, the student, his parents, and 22 classmates. We conducted a semi-structured interview with the student. To determine the social position of the student with DS in the classroom, we produced a sociogram. For the other participants, we wrote a questionnaire with open-ended questions. We also analyzed documents from the student's personal folder. We processed all the collected data qualitatively and supported the results with the theoretical insights of various authors. Based on the analysis of the collected data, we ascertained that the contribution of all participants is necessary for successful integration: the parents, the school management with professional workers, the assistant, peers, and, of course, also the will of the student with DS and his abilities. We ascertained that support is needed on the level of the wider environment, school, and classmates. In the process, parents and professional workers must cooperate. The student with DS achieved his educational goals with appropriate adaptations and good support from family and school. Through the research, we also ascertained that the student with DS has fairly well-developed social competencies, has no major problems with integration into the wider environment, and is well accepted by his peers. The biggest challenge for teachers when teaching a student with DS is planning the work and adapting the content. At the same time, they highlight this as very important because well-planned individual goals for each subject are essential for work. Parents and teachers agree that the education of children with DS needs more support from the government.

Raziskava obravnava motivacijske dejavnike kariernega razvoja strokovnih delavcev v osnovnih in srednjih šolah, ki poteka vzporedno in neločljivo z dvema drugima procesoma: psihosocialnim razvojem posameznika in njegovim družinskim življenjem. Empirična raziskava je bila narejena na vzorcu 360 strokovnih delavcev v osnovnih in srednjih šolah. Strokovni delavci so na lestvici pomembnosti motivacijskih dejavnikov ocenjevali stopnjo strinjanja s trditvami v zvezi z naslednjimi motivacijskimi dejavniki: zakonodaja in urejenost dokumentacije na ravni šole, organizacijska klima in kultura na šoli, vodstvo šole, šola kot učeča se organizacija, potreba posameznika po kariernem razvoju. Zanimalo nas je, ali po mnenju vprašanih obstajajo razlike v oceni stopnje pomembnosti posameznih motivacijskih dejavnikov za karierni razvoj ter ali obstaja odvisnost med končnim rezultatom na lestvici in posameznimi spremenljivkami. Ugotovitev je pomembna za strokovne delavce in vodstva šol, ki se ukvarjajo s spodbujanjem kariernega razvoja, in bi jo bilo smiselno upoštevati tako pri načrtovanju kot spremljanju kariernega razvoja strokovnih delavcev na šolah.
