Učebnica okrem iného ponúka aj najnovšie populačné prehľady vo svete ajeho regiónoch. Cieľom učebnice je priblížiť mladým geografom aj základy populačného výskumu, ktorého súčasťou sú najčastejšie používané nástroje ametódy vrámci geografickej analýzy. Prvá časť učebnice obsahuje úvod do vedných disciplín geografie obyvateľstva ademografie sprehľadom základných demografických údajov. Ďalšia časť rozoberá problematiku antropogenézy, t. j. vývoj človeka od našich predkov apriestorové šírenie človeka po našej Zemi. Súčasťou tejto časti je inovodobý vývoj svetovej populácie, ale aj zmeny vo veľkosti a rozložení globálnej populácie v priebehu času. The life cycle phase describes the existence of the company from the beginning of its founding to its demise. Represents all stages of development, whether it is a positive result, which illustrates a period of growth or a period of failure when the company is in a decline. The aim of the Bachelor's thesis is to illustrate the understanding of the company as a whole. The evaluation of resources financed by analysing ratio indicators is also an integral part of this. The main purpose of the work is the characteristics of the selected enterprise and its economic development, the subsequent application of evaluation methods to the selected enterprise, and the determination of which stage of the life cycle the enterprise is at.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the trends in incidence and mortality from leukemia in Czechia with special focus on the trends by gender and age. The analysis of the incidence of leukemia was conducted between 1980 and 2018 and the analysis of mortality in the period between 2003 to 2020. The period for mortality had to be shortened due to the availability of the necessary data. For both analyses, standardized rates were calculated. Due to the low number of deaths, the standardized death rates were divided into larger age groups and combined into six-year periods. Based on the results, it was found that the incidence of leukemia is increasing in Czechia. The number of new cases of disease and death increases with age and is higher in men than in women. The trends in mortality in women is more stable than in men. Acute forms of leukemia dominate in childhood and cases of chronic leukemia begin to appear with age. In senior age, both types are represented equally. The largest number of people die each year from the acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and the least from the acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The circadian system is the evolutionary response of organisms to repetitive geophysical conditions and allows organisms to devote their energy to solving sudden changes. Although the circadian system developed to help organisms survive and thrive in dynamic conditions, system itself is sensitive to external changes. During critical developmental period of the mammalian CNS, the neonatal period, the circadian systém is significantly vulnerable. Benzodiazepines, pharmaceuticals widely prescribed for half a century, interfere with GABAergic transmission, which is critical type of signaling for the functioning of the circadian systém. The purpose of this thesis is to determine whether and how the development and functioning of the circadian system is altered after administration of a drug from the benzodiazepine class, clonazepam, during the critical developmental period. This thesis examines changes in the expression profile of selected genes in the hippocampus, olfactory bulb and frontal cortex of two ontogenetic stages of rats. Results of this work suggest that benzodiazepines administred in the neonatal period disrupt the development of the circadian system and that these changes, particularly in the hippocampus, persist for certain time. E&M Economics and Management (E&M), originally founded in 1998, is dedicated to promoting advancements in the fields of Economics and Management based on theoretical and empirical analyses. Motivated by its 25th anniversary in 2023, this paper utilizes bibliometrics to make a comprehensive analysis of publications of the E&M that are included in Social Sciences Edition of the Web of Science (WoS). First, we make a performance analysis of the related publications to present the development and distribution of the E&M publications between January 2008 and April 2022 from the aspects of publication and citation structure. Second, a visual analysis of the literature called science-mapping analysis is implemented to display the structural and dynamic organization of knowledge of the E&M publications with the help of bibliometric tools VOSviewer and Bibliometrix. Finally, the paper discusses the evolution of E&M and some of the limitations and prospects to help editors and researchers understand how E&M has evolved over time and where it can be improved. This paper also provides a model of future effective analytical methods for assessing the data from a particular journal. According to the findings, researchers throughout the world publish in this journal on a regular basis. E&M is growing significantly during twenty-five years, and is becoming one of the influential journals in the fields of Economics and Management.

Background: At the beginning of the 20th century, first expert institutes for the treatment of addiction started to appear in what is now Czechia and Slovakia. Apart from treating male patients, demand in society for similar institutes devoted to women also increased, as a result of rising public awareness of addictive substance use - especially alcohol - even among women, including during pregnancy and motherhood. As women reached a new stature in society during the 20th century thanks to continuing emancipation, their relationship to addictive substances also changed - a shift especially apparent after World War 2. Aims: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the process of establishment of specialized institutes focusing on women struggling with addiction, the shifting attitudes and approaches towards treating female addiction, and to map the history of addiction treatment with a special emphasis on the female gender from the beginning of the 20th century until the year 1989. The work contains information about development of gonads in carp aged 2-3 years in specified conditions. A breed of common carp (Cyprinus carpio, L) called the amur mirror carp, which was kept in RAS and ponds, was used for the research. The objective was to confirm the hypothesis that it is possible to reduce the generation interval in females from 4-5 years to 3. The observed values were fish weight, gonadal weight, gonadosomatic index, Fulton's coefficient and degree of oocyte development. Another factor examined was the dependence of GSI on oocyte size.

This bachelor thesis deals mainly with obstetric complications, with a part dedicated to the so- called cephalopelvic disproportion. The theoretical part of the thesis gives the reader a comprehensive overview of childbirth and its course. In the introduction, childbirth is defined in general terms, followed by a description of the different components of childbirth, and then a description of the time of delivery. Finally, the theoretical part is devoted to the definition of the cephalopelvic disproportion. The anatomy of the pelvis and fetal head is mentioned in relation to this complication. Furthermore, the major risk factors that usually condition the development of this disproportion are described. The practical part is carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. Based on the questionnaire, the most common risk factors were identified, the possible occurrence of cephalopelvic disproportion was mapped and it was also investigated whether the participants are sufficiently informed about the possible occurrence of this complication. Adequate information is very important in the context of obstetric complications. This work deals with mapping the development of root crops in the Czech Republic. The purpose is to describe them, evaluate the development from 1920 to the present, the influences that led to changes in the development of root crops at a given time and mapping their development using ArcGIS. This work is divided into two stages. The first stage contains a literature search that describes the root crops in detail, the Geographic Information System (GIS). Methodology of data and data collection and description of their use. The second stage of this work contains a description of the effects on changes in the development of root crops over a period using the collected data and data, then their output in the form of a map created in GIS software.

The Bachelor's thesis titled On the history of Lukavec Primary School deals with basic stages of the Lukavec Primary School. The first part of the bachelor's thesis discusses the history of the village Lukavec, the history of education in our country and the state of education in Lukavec since its beginnings until the end of the 19th century. The second part of the bachelor's thesis reviews the changes in Lukavec education from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. The Bachelor's thesis captures the history of the Lukavec Primary School from the second half of the 17th century to the present in a continuous time series.

Development and structure of crime in the Czech Republic The aim of this thesis is a comparison and presenting the development of crime in the Czech Republic in three different ways. From a short-term point of view, I was comparing the development of crime in the last three years, which was in 2020 affected by pandemic COVID- 19. From a long-term perspective, I monitored the development of crime over four equally distant years, focusing on the importance of dividing crime into separate categories. I focused the last comparison on the description of the problems of international comparison and the presentation of three levels of possible international cooperation. The primary source of information was publicly available statistics of the Police of the Czech Republic. Other publicly available statistics were also used, especially during international comparisons. I divided the thesis into five chapters. The first chapter is theoretical and focuses on the presentation and definition of basic terms which are key to understanding the following text and crime statistics. Fundamental for the existence of multicellular organisms is the presence signalling pathways, complex biochemical cascades, allowing reciprocal communication amongst the cells. Both Notch and Wnt pathways are crucial for embryonic development and their deregulation leads to many severe diseases. Decades of research, largely based on model organism D. melanogaster, showed that components of these pathways do not function strictly separately but on contrary interact with each other (crosstalk). This phenomenon is explored only to a lesser extent in mammals. The aim of this thesis is to recapitulate existing findings of Wnt/ Notch crosstalk in D. melanogaster and outline where crosstalk could play a role in mammals.

ZNF644 (Zinc Finger Protein 644) is a C2H2 zinc finger gene encoding a putative transcription regulator, of which a point mutation (S672G) is associated with inherited high myopia in humans. It is also described to be a partner of the G9a/GLP (G9a- euchromatic histone- lysine N-methyltransferase 2, EHMT2; GLP - euchromatic histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 1, EHMT1) complex, known for its essential role in histone methylation, specifically H3K9me1and H3K9me2. It was reported that another transcription factor, WIZ (Widely-Interspaced Zinc Finger-Containing Protein), can bind to this complex and cooperate in gene silencing simultaneously. In order to study Zfp644 impact on myopia, we generated a mouse model, Zfp644S673G that mimics human mutation. In addition, a mouse with a persuasive truncated form of the protein, Zfp644Δ8 was created. Both mouse models went through an examination of retinal function and morphology. Moreover, with use of ultrasonography, different ocular parameters were examined. We conclude, that Zfp644 gene is causative for myopia in mice. Further examinations of Zfp644Δ8 animals show severe symptoms in metabolism and female fertility. The Diploma Thesis "Research of nursing in the context of historical development" has a theoretical character. Its aim is to analyze the historical development of nursing research as an essential part of the nursing profession. The work is adapted as a historical - analytical study of available sources and documents with subsequent interpretation of texts through the method of textual hermeneutics. To achieve this goal, it was necessary to set two research questions: What period events influenced nursing research in the historical context? What development has nursing research seen from a historical perspective? The work is divided into five chapters entitled From Prehistory to the Modern Age, Florence Nightingale Period, Interwar and War Periods in the Context of Nursing Research, Postwar Periods and Nursing Research, Nursing Research Today. Among crucial events that influenced the development of research in nursing there are Human evolution (script), the influence of religion, wars, Theresian and Josephine reforms and the emancipation movement as well as the formation of education institution (universities), organizations and development of publications. At least but not last there are other important influences such as established political and economic reforms, Bolton's law, the Kellog program, the Advisory Committee's report, the possibility of travel (internships), the adoption of the Bologna Process and technical progress (internet, PC). The research went hand in hand with education, which also affects the level of nursing care. When speaking of the second research question, it can be stated that the first research can be traced back to prehistoric times, through sources of human knowledge, nursing care needs, nursing education, work needs and requirements, nurses' health and safety, motivation, nurses' roles or community nursing. In the period of time, research activity has led to the establishment of research centers and training faculties, research educational programs, research plans (prevention, digitalization, chronically ill), international cooperation and the achievement of their own terminology, classification and methodology. For the time being is nursing research defined by ethical and legal principles, based on EBN and financed from public resources.

DOUBLE BASS PLAYING - Historical, Pedagogical and Musical Theoretical Aspects ABSTRACT This dissertation thesis focuses on historical, pedagogical and music theoretical aspects of double bass playing. The thesis collects data on double bass history regarding the structural development of this instrument and double bass bow, the development of tuning and using this musical instrument in particular centuries. Additionally, the introduction of this thesis contains information on the most significant double bass players of the past. Apart from the development of arts education in the Czech Republic, the research chapters survey the establishment of Academies of Arts in the former Czechoslovakia and later in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The chapter with the overview of Conservatories and Academies which currently provide double bass playing education include topical charts and graphs. The other research scope relates to the literature for double bass by the most important Czech double bassists/composers. The diploma thesis in speech therapy deals with the issue of children's speech development from the parents' point of view. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical definition of communication itself and explains the difference between language and speech. At the end of the introductory chapter, the communication process is described and verbal and nonverbal communication is also defined. The second chapter of the theoretical part is focused on the development of speech, which is divided into the preparatory period and stages of one's own speech development. The chapter also includes the development of speech from the perspective of language levels, including the factors that affect it. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to speech development disorders. Within the empirically oriented part of the diploma thesis, the main goal was set, the intention of which was to find out whether parents are interested in the development of speech in their offspring and what importance they attach to this issue. This thesis deals with the topic of German-Russia relations during the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel and also with the dynamic of these relations in the stated period. The theoretical part is focused on foreign policy and the levels of its analysis. The analytical part researches the behavior of the Russian Federation and Germany in international crises. The research works with the historical context and the background of selected affairs which may have affected the behavior of both participants in the international field. This thesis aims to explain how the German-Russia relations changed between 2005 and 2021, which direction they took and how they were affected by international crises.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the development of environmental indicators in the territory of SO ORP Ivančice. The research part pays attention mainly to indicators, their function, usability, conditions of their use and their evaluation, whether in the territory of a municipality or cities. General information about regional development at the municipal level and the functioning of municipalities, including their development program, is also mentioned here. In the application part, the development of selected environmental indicators on the territory of SO ORP Ivančice is monitored. The data was processed using tables and maps, which were supported by own photo documentation. The result is the development and evaluation of environmental indicators in the monitored area. The increase in investment and the greater focus of municipalities on environmental protection has a positive impact on the development of air quality, waste management and wastewater treatment in the region. Increasing tendencies of the coefficient of ecological stability are supported by municipalities by recultivating green areas and planting new greenery in their territory. The resulting information was compared with the strategic development plans of the municipalities and subsequently interpreted as how they could help the future development of the environment.

Individual development of performances of contemporary Czech decathletes Objective: The main objective of this work is to analyse the performance development of the current Czech decathletes and to compare them with the performance of the decathletes whose records exceeded the 9000 mark. After subsequent evaluation, create a possible prediction of their performance for the next two to three years. Methods: In my bachelor thesis, I used data analysis, comparative method and prediction. The information received was tabulated for a better overview. Results: In this work, I found that decathletes achieve their best performances between 26-27. year. The highest-scoring event is the 110m hurdles. Conversely, the lowest-scoring event is the 1500m. Comparing the points structure of performances in the decathlon, the contemporary Czech decathlons competing in the men's category are the closest to the world leaders in points for performances in the throwing disciplines. In my bachelor thesis I research the topic of drawing and its variation and transformation throughout time and genre. I will describe the boundaries that define it and how these boundaries expand. I will focus on the difference between its significance and visuality in historical context and relate its variability to contemporary experimental trends. I will present drawing in a broad historical, cultural and technical context and this complete the image of its current boundaries. For the practical part, I am inspiration from said variability of drawing and its experimental forms. This work should correspond to the transformation mentioned in the didactic part of the thesis. An installation of a spatial drawing was created. In the didactic part, I elaborate on the section regarding the transformation of drawing into non-traditional forms and describe how such drawing experiments could be incorporated into practical education.
