The aim of the article is to summarise the currently valid nutritional recommendations for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The basis is an overview of the main points of two recent clinical recommendations of medical societies, namely the European Recommendations 2016 and the American AHA Recommendations 2019, and their commentary. It turns out that many of the former recommendations have had to be reconsidered and are no longer valid. At the same time much remains unclear and some new findings are still contradictory and controversial. It seems that in the near future it will be necessary to further revise the nutritional recommendations for cardiovascular prevention and re-evaluate some of the existing views and approaches. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of children's diet and the impact of distance education on their nutrition. The aim was to map the somatic development of boys in 7th-9th grade, to assess adherence to proper dietary recommendations, and to compare the diet during the Covid-19 pandemic with the diet after distance. The theoretical part deals with the energy needs of children and its components, the importance and need of macronutrients and the most important micronutrients for the children's group. It also discusses recommendations for children's nutrition, drinking regime and physical activity, issues related to children's diet, assessment of somatic development and last but not least the relation of the covid-19 pandemic to the topic. A total of 10 boys were involved in the research part of the work, with each boy provided a seven-day dietary record. A qualitative method using semi-structured interview was chosen to collect data. The interviews were then compiled into case reports along with measured anthropometric data, and the information from the weekly dietary record, including the average daily nutrient calculations made using software Nutriservis Professional and Kalorické tabulky, was assessed in the dietary results. The results showed that the majority of boys were at the higher percentiles with their BMI and weight measurements. During the distance education period, the informants experienced a concurrent increase in both BMI and weight percentiles, with half of them remaining unchanged in height percentile. An assessment of the individual dietary recommendations found that informants were generally not following any of the recommendations. On the positive side, consumption of sweet and salty treats was lower, but this was compensated for by sweetened beverages in half of the informants. During the distance education, boys showed a negative change in the groups of fruit and vegetables, dairy, sweet and salty snacks, and also a change in drinking regime.

The issue of food, nutrition and cooking focuses considerable attention in the media. The nutritional value, however, is usually not a major issue. The spread of various myths does not contribute to the right education of the consumers. We can also find the attitude: "What is healthy is not tasteful." Studies comparing the nutritional and sensory properties of foods in the scientific literature are not common. Within the five-weekend training seminars for general practitioners, we gave a total of fifteen dinner meals (five appetizers, five main dishes and five desserts). The various dishes were prepared using vegetable fats, alternating with animal fats. Using ques-tionnaires, we evaluated the taste of these dishes. Then we compared the sensory properties in relation to nutritional values. It was found that differences in taste were not significant, while the replacement of animal fat plant can meaningly improve the nutritional value of food. Selecting suitable fat may approach the nutritional recom-mendations without meaningful alteration of the taste of food. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This bachelor thesis deals with children´s eating habits. My thesis is focused on eating habits of preschool children. It comprises two parts. First part deals with children who do attend nursery school and second part deals with children who do not attend nursery school. Theoretical part of this thesis is focused on how the healthy eating habits should look like and what should be the average daily amount of nutrient intake. Thesis deals with factors associated with nutrition and developing eating habits. It also deals with the way children eat in nursery school. I interviewed 60 preschool children and their parents. 45 of these children attend nursery school and 15 do not. This thesis comprises two parts. The aim of first part was to evaluate what are current children´s eating habits. The aim of second part was to analyse the amount of nutrient intake. Practical part of my bachelor thesis is based on a questionnaire. 28 questions were answered by parents. I monitored both groups and their five-day dietary intake of morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack which should contain about 60 % of daily dietary intake. Collected data were analysed using programme Nutriservis Professional. I get the average dietary intake value and the amount of nutrient. As far as my research shows, the average dietary intake value more or less correspondes with recommended preschool children´s dietary intake. Eating habits are a little bit different but could be evaluated as acceptable. The worst factor is the frequency of particular food groups consumption. Unfortunately, it does not correspond to recommended amount of daily intake. The difference between children who eat in a nursery school and children who eat at home is imperceptible.

The aim is to find out whether nutrition therapists eat better than nurses on the basis of their education, and how shift work affects boarding of nurses. The results are processed into graphs and tables. The results show that general nutritional recommendations follow more nutrition therapists than nurses. Furthermore the questionnaire shows that more than 50% of nurses eats irregularly and the main reason for skipping meals during the night shift is lack of time. It has also been found that a large percentage of nutrition therapists have begun to study their field to get more information about nutrition. It has been confirmed that both nutrition therapists and nurses are in risk group for eating disorders. keywords: eating habits, nutrition, dietary recommendations, nutritional therapy, nurses, eating disorders

The bachelor thesis named "Comparison of dietary system in the hospital with a recommendation for a healthy population" concerns about fulfilling the guideline daily amounts of nutrients in hospital. That implies accepting appropriate food in ideal ratio. This is important for correct operation of every living organism. A problem with such a food intake can occur when an organism is weakened by illness. This bachelor thesis studies the availability of all nutrients and appropriate food in hospital diet. Importance is put on the correct ratio of nutrients in the nurture and other nutritional recommendations. In the thesis there is also investigated if healthy population has some overview of the nutritional recommendations and if they follow them. The first theoretical section of the thesis describes dietetic system, particular hospital diets, nutritional recommendations and also healthy population is mentioned here. At the hospital diets I fastened on diets number 3 and 9, which are racional diet and diabetic diet. Those were selected for the practical part of this thesis. The analysis took place in two hospitals and other part among regular people. The goal of the thesis was to map a situation of the dietetic system in hospitals and to find out if the system follows nutritional recommendations. More concretely, it included diet number 3 and 9. Testing set contained weekly racional and diabetic diets which were calculated in a program called "Nutriservisprofesional" and the results of the investigation were processed in Microsoft Excel. Second part of the testing used questionnaires which have been given to 50 respondents and it contained 25 questions, 4 of them being open. It was supposed to find out eating habits and approach to the eating of regular people. The results were processed to graphs in Microsoft Excel. From the results eventuated difference between both of the hospitals, particularly by fiber, vitamin C and fat content. It is related to having fruit and vegetable in the diet, where hospitals did not match as well. One result found out high amounts of fats and lower amount of fiber than the recommended amount. Results of investigating regular people showed lower amount of vegetable and milk products than recommended. The most notable was very low amount of fish and pulses. On the other hand it was confirmed that most of the people drink enough and eat enough food.

Nutrition of oncological patients in palliative care is a serious global problem, and therefore, I decided to make a reseach and learn more about this problematics. Although treatment of cancer in this time has moved forward, cancer spread throughout the world in relatively high values. This work is divided into two parts, while in the theoretical part is described the way the disease spreads, what is the percent incdence, prevalence and mortality in the Czech Republic. Next, what symptoms are associated with this disease malnutrition, cachexia, nausea, and other. The most important part of this thesis is description of the nutritional recommendation, witch is specified for each patient individually associated in regards with enteral and parenteral nutrition, as proper nutrition can affect not only the physical needs, but also psychological and also improve the overall condition of the patient. The described care and its division is the last point in the theoretical part. The current way of eating of oncological patients in palliative care was the aim of the practical part of the thesis. My research questions are: 1. How does the disease affect the appetite of the patient in palliative care? and 2. Which component of the patients diet is deficient? The topic was processed in a way of qualitative reseach of 6 oncology patients at palliative department, I used interviews and questionnaires with patients and medical staff. I reviewed the menus in the program Nutriservis and the general condition of patients using a scale of most common symptoms. According to the results, the majority of patients ranged under the limits of standards, with protein energy malnutrition, which was caused by a lack of food rich in protein and also opioids medication which can affect appetite or symptoms associated with this disease.

Over the last decade, there is an enormous increase in the number of children and young people with health problems due to the non-compliant boarding. This is not only about overweight or obesity, the problem is much broader spectrum - diseases such as diabetes mellitus 2nd type, high blood pressure, high level of cholesterol and other cardiovaskular problems do not affect only adults anymore. This work is focused on primary school pupils and high school students, on finding their eating habits and the following comparison. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part includes the basic data describing the quality of eating in the world and in the Czech population and also describes the charakteristics of contemporary boarding. This section also emphasizes the importance of diet for a child´s body in various stages of development, including the intrauterine one. Of course also serves dietary guidelines, both the preferences of specific dietary components and the frequency of meals, distribution of energy intake during the day etc. It also briefly describes the various dietary components and their function in the body, describes the different ways to check the status of human nutrition and the conclusion is devoted to the pathology of child nutrition. The practical part contains the results of research that were gathered through the method of questioning, using questionaires. The data were collected anonymously. Questionnaires were distributed to 7th and 9th classes of primary school and the first and third grades of secondary schools in the district of Jihlava. Respondents answered a total of 15 questions, two of which were open. Of the 65 questionnaires (100%) distributed to elementary school returned 55, 2 of them had to be excluded due to incompleteness, a total of 53 - 82% return. At high school, it was also distributed 65 questionnaires (100%), returned 54 - 83% return. The aim of this study was to determine the dietary habits of children and adolescents, and to assess whether positive approach to healthy nutrition tend to have younger pupils in primary schools, which are still under the powerful influence of parents, or whether the food more cares older high school youth. Based on this goal I set two hypotheses. Hypothesis 1: There are differences in the diet on selected primary and secondary schools in the district of Jihlava. Hypothesis 2: High school youth do not eat in accordance with the food pyramid. After subsequent testing of hypotheses it was proved that differences between primary school pupils and secondary school students actually exist. Surprisingly, the better rating in the test had high school students. Those, besides a consumption of alcohol, have better eating habits - they have regular meals, breakfast was more in line with dietary recommendations, more frequently attend a school canteen, the majority has not been shown to be regularly active smoking etc. At both schools, without distinction, occurred more serious shortcomings in the consumption of fruit and vegetables, there also was a relatively high number of students who have ever tried tobacco and alcohol consumption. In addition to the hypotheses, I also compared the differences in responses depending on gender of respondents and correlation between the resulting score of questionnaire and Body Mass Index which I calculated on the basis of height and weight. Between boys and girls were shown minimal differences, concerning rather morning snacks (girls prefer healthier foods) and more active interest in a healthy lifestyle by girls again. Relationship between Body Mass Index and resulting scores in the questionnaire was not demonstrated. This work may serve to school teachers as a study material in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, as well as parents of children and adolescents to broaden knowledge of this issue.

The theoretical part of the thesis presents the current knowledge about functional anatomy and pathology of kidneys and the urinary tract, infections of the urinary tract, their etiopathogenesis, epidemiology and classification. The thesis also describes the issue of the diet therapy in nephrology, namely the general principles of dietary measures, a diet to deal with acute and chronic infections, and prevention through diet. The practical part deals with a quantitative research. The data were collected by the method of inquiring, using a technique of questionnaires. The research results show whether the respondents, i.e. patients suffering from relapsing infections of the urinary tract, are aware of the appropriate dietary regimen and of the fluid intake, suitable and unsuitable kinds of fluids, as well as the diet composition and the meals that are recommended for exclusion from the diet. The data obtained in the actual research demonstrated insufficient knowledge of patients suffering from infections of the urinary tract about dietary measures, and disconfirmed the main hypothesis.

Teoretická část je zaměřena na základní živiny potravy, výživová doporučení, energetickou potřebu organismu, složení lidského těla a metody pro stanovení složení těla. Experimentální část obsahuje porovnání dvou metod pro stanovení složení těla – metoda bioelektrické impedance a metoda NIR-spektrofotometrie. Další část je věnována studii úrovně stravovacích návyků skupiny studentů, skládající se z vyhodnocení týdenních jídelníčků a dotazníků zaměřených na konzumaci vybraných potravin., This bachelor thesis deals with the composition of the human body and methods of its analysis. The theoretical part is focused on basic food nutrients, nutrition recommendations, energy needs of the organism, body composition and methods for determining body composition. The experimental part contains a comparison of two methods for determining body composition – a method of bioelectrical impedance and a method NIR-spectrometry. Other section is devoted to a study of the eating habits of group of students, consisting of evaluation of diets and the questionnaires.
