INDUSTRIAL management , *ECONOMIC development , *TECHNOLOGICAL innovations , *BUSINESS planning , *PERSONNEL management - Abstract
The research examines technological competencies from the perspectives of both human and technical components, emphasizing their significance in responding to corporate management challenges. Recent global changes have triggered significant technological transformations, presenting new challenges for corporate management. In this context, technological competence - encompassing both qualified human resources and technical innovations - plays a crucial role in the success of the responses provided by companies. The objective of the study is to demonstrate how technological competencies affect a company's economic performance and strategic adaptation capabilities. Data collected within the research framework included economic information provided by companies, such as revenue and staff numbers, as well as specific data related to technological forecasting methods. The analytical methods employed enabled the creation of a comprehensive understanding of the role technological competencies play in the economic context. The research underscores how the development of technological competencies can assist companies in successfully navigating through the challenges posed by technological changes. The findings indicate that the development of human resources and the integration of technological innovations are indispensable for strengthening corporate success and market position. Experttype companies, which facilitate knowledge-based development and the introduction or marketing of new technologies, particularly benefit. In these companies, not just the technical equipment, but also human capabilities are decisive in successfully responding to technological challenges. This supports the importance of combining human resource development and technological innovations. The application of technological forecasting methods enables companies to better anticipate and manage market and technological trends, further strengthening their adaptive and innovative capacity. In summary, the research concludes that the harmony between technological competencies, knowledge, and corporate strategy enhances organizational competitiveness, highlighting the importance of knowledge-based development and the expansion of qualified human resources. To successfully adapt to the dynamics of technological changes, companies need to integrate technological competencies at a strategic level, thereby promoting knowledge-based economic growth and longterm success. Industrial management ,HD28-70 - Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the modern organizations’ digital transformation trend and its constituent factors. The organizational changes of Russian companies that use a digital tool for intermittent organizational and economic processes in order to increase the effectiveness of their activities and management efficiency are considered in most detail. The author notes the versatility of the digital transformation process of a modern organization in the context of organizational change aspects determined by digital technologies as a tool for innovation. The article is based on the methodology of an integrated approach and system analysis. The theoretical basis of the article was the publications of Russian researchers devoted to aspects of the digital transformation of the organization. Familiarization with regulatory documents and government programs, methods of comparative analysis were chosen as research methods. The method of expert assessments, normative and logical methods were also used. It has been determined that the structure of the resource potential of digital technologies for Russian enterprises and organizations is a wide range of opportunities to influence both the labor process, the process of forming technological and professional digital competencies of employees and managers, and the organizational ecosystem as a whole. The study showed that the institutional field of the organization’s business model with the inclusion of digital technologies in it allows creating new formats of interaction both within the organization (manager-employees) and in the external environment (for example, in working with partners and clients). However, this process may collide with the existing narratives of the organization’s operating principles, including the existing organizational / corporate culture, with its values, which to a certain extent determines the effectiveness of its implementation. It is concluded that the change in value priorities in the new digital reality will be based on the implementation of specific systemic measures, which are presented by the author in ten areas. According to the author, the information presented in the article will make it possible to specify the management of the organization’s business processes in order to increase the effectiveness of its activities.

- Abstract
Educational systems have significantly evolved over the last two decades because of technology applications and Internet services. Students' technical and technological competencies (TC) determine a portion of this development's effect on their learning progression. They must be able to effectively utilize educational technology and interactive electronic resources. Therefore, the current study first aimed to assess the extent to which physical education students in Egypt and Saudi Arabia obtain these competencies based on the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) standards. In addition, the study aimed to determine the differences between physical education students in Egypt and Saudi Arabia in these competencies. Study methods: The study included 657 participants selected from physical education students in Egypt (n = 348) and Saudi Arabia (n = 309). The data collection tools included an electronic questionnaire evaluated by ten experts, containing 35 items that represent educational technology competencies within seven ISTE-defined criteria. Results: By calculating the sum of the actual responses for each standard and calculating the maximum total score for the questionnaire, it was found that the percentage of students' TC significantly varied, ranging between 60 to 75%. In addition, significant differences were found between the groups possessing these technologies and TC (p < .05, η²p = 0.00). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Nearly 90–95% of young innovative companies (YICs) experience business closure within their initial 12 months, primarily due to a lack of understanding regarding the essential business capabilities to nurture, particularly in African nations. Recognizing this challenge, extensive emphasis has been placed on identifying internal capabilities that YICs can cultivate to significantly enhance their chances of success. This study delves into the interplay between top management capabilities, technological competence, organizational learning, and performance, while also investigating the impact of entrepreneurial orientation and innovation capabilities on this relationship. By employing Teece's SST (sense, seize, transform) approach, the research comprehensively analyzes the combined effect of these capabilities on YIC performance. The study involved 254 managers from YICs operating in four African countries (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana) who actively participated in online surveys. The findings of this study are threefold: firstly, it offers a holistic perspective on the dynamic capabilities that YICs must cultivate to bolster their likelihood of success; secondly, it establishes a direct correlation between these capabilities and organizational performance, highlighting the significant contributions of innovation capabilities and entrepreneurial orientation; and finally, it underscores the pivotal importance of developing top management capabilities and technological competencies within YICs. PRESCHOOL children ,EARLY childhood education ,CURRICULUM ,ROBOTS ,PRESCHOOLS - Abstract
The development of algorithmic thinking can start already in preschool since this is a sensitive period when many basic skills and abilities develop intensively. The Early Childhood Education Curriculum (2019) in Romania considers this period as the foundation stage of key competencies. The key competencies include technological competencies, the introduction of which in preschool can be linked to the development of algorithmic thinking, as educational robots can be used to develop this thinking ability. In this research, we present the possibility of using educational robots within the framework of a development program, which we tested with preschool children. The results of the children's pre- and post-measurements lead to the conclusion that algorithmic thinking can be developed already at this age with targeted intervention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research explores and analyzes the context of the renewable energies industry sector of Baja California, Mexico, regarding the adoption, appropriation, knowledge and usage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) by focusing on human resources, mainly its business managers and directors, as key actors of strategic plans in terms of research and technological development. For this task, a Technological Competencies Profile (TCP), meant for evaluating the incorporation of ICTs by business leaders, was constructed by reviewing the definition of "technological competency" in 140 publications, and by considering the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF), the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), and other related guidelines. This profile was later applied to analyze 13 SMEs and their leaders' technological competencies. The investigation was further enriched with the information extracted from 13 interviews made with renewable energy experts in Baja California. The conclusions of this study show that, although SME leaders do have knowledge of ICTs and use them effectively for their own communicative and personal purposes, they do not consider them as a part of their business operation that can optimize their processes and impact its innovative capabilities. In addition, significant differences were found between the groups possessing these technologies and TC (p < .05, η2p = 0.00).

This paper aims at investigating the determinants of firms’ technological competencies and capabilities as defined by von Tunzelmann and Wang (Economie Appliquée 6:33-64, 2003). The analysis carried out in the paper shows that some company characteristics, such as size, being part of a group and internationalization, as well as cooperation channels significantly impact on the innovative behavior of Italian firms, in increasing both their likelihood of becoming actively innovative and their potential to economically exploit the returns from innovative activity. Moreover, also geographical location appears to be a significant relevant factor. The findings are based on firm-level data provided by the Italian Community Innovation Survey (CIS). Like other disciplines, librarians are dictated to augment the existing levels of technology skills to exhibit optimal performance. However, it is unknown whether the acquisition of such skills affects their generic job satisfaction (GJS) or not. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between indicators of hightech functional and professional skills and GJS of Pakistani university librarians. A randomly selected sample of university librarians was used to test the hypothesized relationship between the multiple indicators of high-tech functional and professional skills and GJS. The findings revealed that effects of high-tech functional and professional skills on GJS are significant and thus all hypotheses (H1-H12) are supported. Further, information assurance and security skills are the strongest predictors of GJS while library content management system skills is its weakest contributor. The implications of this study include: at the national level, a technology competencies model is required to ensure and facilitate librarians' acquisition of needed skills and thus to augment their GJS (practical implications); current level of professional skills should be developed to enhance librarians' job performance, and social image. Furthermore, this study formulated an integrated model of research that can be used in future studies or in other disciplines for cross-validation of the results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Como resultado se destaca luego de haberse implementado la estrategia pedagógica, la mejora de las competencias tecnológicas de los profesores, también la reflexión sobre su quehacer pedagógico en el aula y cómo las TIC les aportan a realizar clases más dinámicas y motivantes para los estudiantes, Competences bring together the possibilities of people: to know (knowledge), to know how to do (abilities and skills), to know how to be (values, attitudes and aptitudes) and to know how to live jointly (learning to live with others). In this sense, they represent the capacity that brings together the knowledge, potentialities and actions, raised in the learning performances stated in each subject. Therefore, this research aims to strengthen the technological skills of primary school teachers through the R5 method as a pedagogical strategy to improve the teaching of communicative skills in English; For this, the Classroom platform was used, as a technological tool that allowed the design of a pedagogical strategy aimed at raising awareness in the practice of teachers and the importance of integrating ICT in their educational work. The project is qualitative in nature, as it aims to understand the phenomena explored from the perspective of the participants (teachers). The method used, the action research that seeks change in a specific population, said change is the result of the shortcomings presented in said group. The population object of this study were 14 teachers of the institution belonging to the primary level. As a result, after having implemented the pedagogical strategy, the improvement of technological skills in teachers stands out, as well as the reflection on their pedagogical work in the classroom and how ICTs contribute to making classes more dynamic and motivating for students, Maestría, Magíster en Tecnologías Digitales Aplicadas a la Educación, 1°ed, Contenido Pág. One of the distinctive attributes of today’s successful companies is having at least one competitive advantage in one known area. Technological competency is an important advantage which helps improve the firm’s competitiveness. In fact, suitable use of new technologies can dramatically influence the innovation speed, decrease the time of product development cycle and also increase the rate of new product introduction. Firm-specific technological competencies help explain why a firm is different, how it changes over time, and whether it is capable of remaining competitive. In this study, technological competency factors (technology management, process technology, product technology) are prioritized according to the competitive advantage levels(customer satisfaction, brand reputation, new product introduction, market share) and competitive priorities (cost, price, quality, flexibility, time) using fuzzy Analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) with the aim of maximizing the nonfinancial performance at coil manufacture industry. The results indicate that within Iran coil industry, process technology is of greater importance than technology management and product technology.

If research in education has suggested that pedagogical use of ICT has had some positive effects on learners in general, it must be noted that studies have also shown that ICT use by teachers is low both in primary as well as secondary schools. One of many factors that could explain this is simply the lack of real support offered by the school principals for an effective integration of ICT in the pedagogical practice. For this support to be possible, the school principals need to have a positive perception of their own competency levels as related to technology use. This study aims to assess how French-language school principals in Canada (n=213) evaluate their own competency levels when it comes to using ICT according to four orders as mapped by a model suggested by Desjardins (2005). The data shows that the principals assess their competency levels differently depending on the type of use they make of technology and that this profile varies depending on the years of experience as principals.
