Thin-film confinement of self-assembling block polymers results in materials with myriad potential applications—including membranes and optical devices—and provides design parameters for altering phase behavior that are not available in the bulk, namely, film thickness and preferential wetting. However, most research has been limited to lamella- and cylinder-forming polymers; three-dimensional phases, such as double gyroid (DG), have been observed in thin films, but their phase behavior under confinement is not yet well understood. We use self-consistent field theory to predict the equilibrium morphology of bulk-gyroid-forming AB diblock polymers under thin-film confinement. Phase diagrams reveal that the (211) orientation of DG, often observed in experiments, is stable between nonpreferential boundaries at thicknesses as small as 1.2 times the bulk DG lattice parameter. The (001) orientation is stable between modestly B-preferential boundaries, where B is the majority block, while a different (211)-oriented termination plane is stabilized by strongly B-preferential boundaries, neither of which has been observed experimentally. We then describe two particularly important phenomena for explaining the phase behavior of DG thin films at low film thicknesses. The first is "constructive interference," which arises when distortions due to the top and bottom boundaries overlap and is significant for certain DG orientations. The second is a symmetry-dependent, in-plane unit-cell distortion that arises because the distorted morphology near the boundary has a different preferred unit-cell size and shape than the bulk. It is highly demanded to understand the confinement effect on nanoconfined polymers. Recent studies reported a strong perturbation of local dynamics and substantial alteration of glass transition temperature Tg at nanoscale. However, how confinement affects the mechanical properties of polymers is not fully understood. Here, we show that the modulus of thin polymer films could be remarkedly altered through a polymer–polymer interface. The modulus of a thin polystyrene (PS) film next to a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was determined from the PS–PDMS bilayer bulging test. A series of experiments show that the modulus of PS can be increased up to 37%, when the modulus of the neighboring PDMS varies from 1.04 to 4.88 MPa. The results demonstrate a strong sensitivity of mechanical properties of thin polymers to the hard/soft environment, which we attribute to the change of high-mobility layer by the polymer–polymer interface. Thermally stimulated discharge (TSD) technique is a traditional method in dielectric research, especially for electrets. However, in conventional open-circuit and short-circuit TSD techniques, it is difficult to distinguish the surface charge and body charge of dielectric materials. In particular with the test of polymer electrets, the deformation of the polymer film may take place during the measurement process, which will affect the accuracy of the experiment results. In this paper, a glass-assisting TSD (GA-TSD) technique is proposed to solve the above problems. The feasibility of the experimental technique is verified with the GA-TSD spectra of fluorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer electret films. In addition, their theory analysis is also accomplished. The influences of glass thickness, glass dielectric property, and metallizing on the glass on GA-TSD spectra are investigated. The results prove that the GA-TSD spectra can clearly distinguish the difference between surface charge and body charge according to the current direction. The quartz glass with the lowest dielectric constant is best suitable for the GA-TSD technique. The influence of the glass thickness and metallizing on the glass on GA-TSD spectra is little. Block copolymer self-assembly in conjunction with nonsolvent-induced phase separation (SNIPS) has been increasingly leveraged to fabricate integral-asymmetric membranes. The large number of formulation and processing parameters associated with SNIPS, however, has prevented the reliable construction of high performance membranes. In this study, we apply dynamical self-consistent field theory to model the SNIPS process and investigate the effect of various parameters on the membrane morphology: solvent selectivity, nonsolvent selectivity, initial film composition, and glass transition composition. We examine how solvent selectivity and concentration of polymers in the film impact the structure of micelles that connect to form the membrane matrix. In particular, we find that preserving the order in the surface layer and forming a connection between the supporting and surface layer are nontrivial and sensitive to each parameter studied. The slow Arrhenius process (SAP) is a dielectric mode connected to thermally activated equilibration mechanisms, allowing for a fast reduction in free energy in liquids and glasses. The SAP, however, is still poorly understood, and so far, this process has mainly been investigated at temperatures above the glass transition. By employing a combination of methods to analyze dielectric measurements under both isochronal and isothermal conditions, we were able to quantitatively reproduce the dielectric response of the SAP of different polymers and to expand the experimental regime over which this process can be observed down to lower temperatures, up to 70 K below the glass transition. Employing thin films of thicknesses varying between 10 and 800 nm, we further verified that the peak shape and activation energy of the SAP of poly(4-bromostyrene) are not sensitive to temperature, nor do they vary upon confinement at the nanoscale level. These observations confirm the preliminary trends reported for other polymers. We find that one single set of parameters—meaning the activation barrier and the pre-exponential factor, respectively, linked to the enthalpic and entropic components of the process—can describe the dynamics of the SAP in both the supercooled liquid and glassy states, in bulk and thin films. In polymers, the equilibrium state is achieved when the chains have access to the maximum number of conformational states, which allows them to explore a larger conformational space, leading to an increase in the entropy of the system. Preparation of thin polymer films using the spin-coating technique results in polymer chains being locked in a nonequilibrium state with lower entropy due to possible stretching of chains during the process. Allowing enough time for recovery results in the relaxation of the spin-coating-induced molecular recoiling stress. Annealing such a film generates entropy due to its inherent irreversibility. We employed the dewetting technique to determine the molecular recoiling stress relaxation time in poly-(tertbutyl styrene) thin films. Furthermore, we qualitatively differentiated the metastable states achieved by the polymer film using entropy generation in a relaxing polymer film as an effect of thermal entropy and associated it with the conformational entropy of polymer chains utilizing the molecular recoiling stress relaxation time. This enabled us to explain molecular recoiling stress relaxation using a rather simplistic approach involving segmental level molecular rearrangements in polymer chains by attaining transient metastable states through an entropically activated process driving toward equilibrium. The demand for applications, such as coatings, separation filters, and electronic packaging, has greatly driven the research of polymer films. At nanometer scale, mechanical properties of thin polymer films can significantly deviate from bulk. Despite outstanding progresses, there still lack deep discussions on nonlinear viscoelastic–viscoplastic response and their interactions under nanoconfinement. In this work, by conducting measurements via the bubble inflation method and modelling using Schapery and Perzyna equations, we demonstrate nonlinear viscoelastic–viscoplastic properties of freely standing thin polystyrene (PS) films. The results show the unchanged glassy compliance and the rubbery stiffening phenomenon for thin PS films, where the lower rubbery plateau in rubbery stiffening may originate from the induced molecular orientation by plastic deformation. With decreasing film thickness, viscosity and yield stress in viscoplasticity increase in an exponential and a linear trend, respectively, indicating the significant role of nanoconfinement effect on viscoplastic properties. These findings may reveal that there are many properties from linear viscoelasticity to nonlinear viscoelasticity–viscoplasticity that need to be explored and unveiled for sufficient understanding of the nanoconfinement effect on altering mechanical behavior of polymers. Glass-forming liquids exhibit long-lived, spatially correlated dynamical heterogeneity, in which some nm-scale regions in the fluid relax more slowly than others. In the nanoscale vicinity of an interface, glass-formers also exhibit the emergence of massive interfacial gradients in glass transition temperature Tg and relaxation time τ. Both of these forms of heterogeneity have a major impact on material properties. Nevertheless, their interplay has remained poorly understood. Here, we employ molecular dynamics simulations of polymer thin films in the isoconfigurational ensemble in order to probe how bulk dynamic heterogeneity alters and is altered by the large gradient in dynamics at the surface of a glass-forming liquid. Results indicate that the τ spectrum at the surface is broader than in the bulk despite being shifted to shorter times, and yet it is less spatially correlated. This is distinct from the bulk, where the τ distribution becomes broader and more spatially organized as the mean τ increases. We also find that surface gradients in slow dynamics extend further into the film than those in fast dynamics—a result with implications for how distinct properties are perturbed near an interface. None of these features track locally with changes in the heterogeneity of caging scale, emphasizing the local disconnect between these quantities near interfaces. These results are at odds with conceptions of the surface as reflecting simply a higher "rheological temperature" than the bulk, instead pointing to a complex interplay between bulk dynamic heterogeneity and spatially organized dynamical gradients at interfaces in glass-forming liquids. We report on the application of solution-based p-type electrical doping using 12-molybdophosphoric acid hydrate (PMA) to the fabrication of organic tandem solar cells. Such a doping approach leads to a spatially confined vertical doping profile down to a limited depth from the surface of polymer films, thus allowing the hole-collecting component of the charge recombination stack to be embedded in the photoactive layer of the bottom sub-cell. This simplifies the device architecture by removing the need for an extra dedicated hole-collecting layer. It is shown that this novel charge recombination stack comprising a PMA-doped bottom photoactive layer and a trilayer of Ag/AZO/PEIE is compatible with a solution-processed top photoactive layer. The fabricated inverted organic tandem solar cells exhibit an open-circuit voltage that is close to the sum of the open-circuit voltages of the individual sub-cells, and a fill factor that is close to the better fill factor of the two sub-cells. We investigate diffusion in fluids near surfaces that may be coated with polymer films. We first consider diffusion in hard sphere fluids near a planar hard wall. We specifically consider color diffusion, where hard spheres are labeled A or B but are otherwise identical in all respects. In this inhomogeneous fluid, we consider a surface reaction–diffusion problem. At the left wall, a particle of species A is converted to one of species B upon a wall collision. At the opposing wall, the reverse reaction takes place: B → A. Using molecular dynamics simulation, we study the steady state of this system. We demonstrate that in the homogeneous region, a diffusing particle is subject to an equilibrium oscillatory force, the solvation force, that arises from the interfacial structuring of the fluid at the wall. For the hard sphere/hard wall system, the solvation force can be determined in various ways. We use the solvation force [the potential of mean force (PMF)] to solve the continuum diffusion equation. This provides an adequate and accurate description of the reaction–diffusion problem. The analysis is then extended to consider both color diffusion in the presence of a slowly varying one-body field such as gravity and a more applied problem of diffusion of free species through a surface film consisting of tethered chains. In both cases, the PMF experienced by the free particles is affected, but the diffusion problem can be treated in the same way as for the simpler hard sphere color diffusion case. The glass transition temperature of confined and free-standing polymer films of varying thickness is studied by extended molecular dynamics simulations of bead–spring chains. The results are connected to the statistical properties of the polymers in the films, where the chain lengths range from short, unentangled to highly entangled. For confined films, perfect scaling of the thickness-dependent end-to-end distance and radius of gyrations normalized to their bulk values in the directions parallel and perpendicular to the surfaces is obtained. In particular, the reduced end-to-end distance in the perpendicular direction is very well described by an extended Silberberg model. For bulk polymer melts, the relation between the chain length and Tg follows the Fox–Flory equation. For films, no further confinement induced chain length effect is observed. Tg decreases and is well described by Keddie's formula, where the reduction is more pronounced for free-standing films. It is shown that Tg begins to deviate from bulk Tg at the characteristic film thickness, where the average bond orientation becomes anisotropic and the entanglement density decreases. Multifunctional thin films are becoming extremely popular in many technological fields. An increase in their functionality can be achieved by the creation of nanocomposite structures. This study represents novel thin composite coatings with a horizontally oriented single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) filler inside a silicon oxynitride (SiO x N y) matrix obtained by (i) low-temperature thermal curing or by (ii) UV radiation-induced curing. The SiO x N y /SWCNT composite structures were prepared by simple dry transfer of a SWCNT film into a perhydropolysilazane (PHPS) polymer matrix film deposited by the spin-coating technique followed by curing. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of the SiO x N y /SWCNT composite films were studied using HR-SEM/EDX, ATR-FTIR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. It was found that SWCNT films were uniformly transferred into the PHPS matrix, maintaining their horizontally oriented close-packed structure, and avoiding the problem of agglomeration, thereby forming a laminate-type composite. SWCNTs had no effect on the curing process of the PHPS matrix. The SWCNT concentration remained relatively low, resulting in highly transparent composite films. An antireflection effect in the composite film relative to the transmission of the SWCNT film was observed. Polymer dielectrics have gained significant usage in electrical engineering due to their unique merits, such as good flexibility, easy processing, and low cost. However, it is a huge challenge that polymer dielectrics maintain high breakdown strength meanwhile high permittivity for enhanced energy density. Here, sandwiched polymer films are constructed for enhanced energy density. Increased permittivity has been achieved via blending BaTiO3@polyfluorosiloxane with a polymer as the top and bottom layer. Furthermore, the neat polymer as the middle layer is without critically sacrificing breakdown strength. The energy storage density increases from 7.8 J/cm3 of the neat polymer to 10.41 J/cm3 of the sandwich structure at 460 MV/m. ABSTRACT This work aims to investigate the influence of the substrate temperature on low‐pressure plasma polymerization processes. Emphasis is placed on the mechanical properties and growth mechanism of the plasma polymer films (PPFs). For this purpose, two precursors are considered, differing only by their unsaturation degree: 2‐propen‐1‐ol (CH2═CH–CH2–OH) and propan‐1‐ol (CH3–CH2–CH2–OH). Although propan‐1‐ol‐based PPFs behave like hard elastic solids, 2‐propen‐1‐ol‐based coatings evolve from a liquid film to an elastic solid on increasing the substrate temperature. This behavior is understood considering the evolution of the glass transition temperature of PPFs. The water absorption characteristics of thermoplastic starch (TPS) reveal its ability to interact with and absorb water, influencing its overall performance in various applications. The introduction of aloe vera (AV) gel into the TPS polymeric matrix film has proven beneficial in enhancing tensile strength but a notable deficiency is observed in lowering water absorption percentage. Therefore, this paper aims to reduce the water absorption of the TPS30AV polymer matrix film by utilizing polyethylene (PE) without reducing the tensile strength performance of the TPS30AV film. The TPS30AV film was produced using melt-blending and hot-press techniques. Six samples were presented consisting of a control film (TPS30AV) and TPS30AV film with different concentrations of PE resins (5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%). The film's performance was assessed by examining its mechanical properties, water absorption, and water solubility. The finding shows that TPS30AV with 40% PE has the highest improvement in water absorption percentage which reduces from 309.86% to 34.16% but a tremendous decrement in tensile strength performance. However, TPS30AV with 10% PE has the highest tensile strength, 9.65 MPa with a 20.99% improvement in water absorption reduction. The properties obtained for TPS30AV10PE were also good in Young's modulus and water solubility percentage. It shows that the film formulated is comparable with previous studies, and improvement has been achieved. As a conclusion, adding PE improved the polymeric structure of TPS30AV and can be used as a biodegradable food-packaging film. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Smart materials with circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) tunable ability show great potential for advanced information storage and encryption. While an effective integration of high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and facile regulation of CPL property in thin films are of great significance, it is challenging due to the scarcity of suitable materials and complexity of systems. Herein, a novel acid‐responsive CPL tunable molecule is designed by combining an aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) component (TPE), an acid‐responsive luminophore (Rhodol), and a chiral aniline. Benefitting by the “AIE” effect of TPE and acid‐sensitive nature of Rhodol, the acidified molecule (S‐Rhodol‐TPE) exhibits a high PLQY even when doped in the polymer substrate at high concentrations. In addition, due to the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) process between TPE and Rhodol, the emission color of S‐Rhodol‐TPE can be easily regulated by the doped ratio and acidified degree of S‐Rhodol‐TPE in the polymer film. This work exhibits a unique approach to achieving smart CPL‐tunable films with high PLQYs and multiple emission color‐regulation properties, which can undoubtedly facilitate the progress of CPL tunable materials. Fully π-conjugated polymers with rigid aromatic units are promising for flexible optoelectronic devices, but their inherent brittleness poses a challenge for achieving high-performance, intrinsically stretchable fully π-conjugated polymer. Here, we are establishing an external-plasticizing strategy using semiconductor fluid plasticizers (Z1 and Z2) to enhance the optoelectronic, morphological, and stretchable properties of fully π-conjugated polymer films for flexible light-emitting diodes. The synergistic effect of hierarchical structure and optoelectronic properties of Z1 in poly(9,9-di-n-octylfluorene-alt-benzothiadiazole) (F8BT) films enable excellent stretchable deformability (~25%) and good conductivity. PLEDs based on F8BT/Z1 films show stable electroluminescence and efficiency under 15% stretch and 100 cycles at 10% strain, revealing outstanding stress tolerance. This strategy is also improving the stretchable properties of polymers like poly(9,9-di-n-octylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl) (PFO) and poly(2-methoxy-5(2′-ethyl)hexoxy-phenylenevinylene) (Super Yellow), demonstrating its general applicability. Therefore, this strategy can provide effective guidance for designing high-performance stretchable fully π-conjugated polymers films for flexible electronic devices. The realization of intrinsically stretchable fully π-conjugated polymer film is challenging due to their inherent brittle nature. Electrochromic polymers (ECPs) have great application potential in flexible displays, and there is an increasing expectation of using green methods to form ECP films. Herein, we propose a modified microemulsion method to prepare cyan/magenta/yellow (C/M/Y) water-dispersed electrochromic polymer nanoparticles (WDEN) systems. Three polymer films (WDECP-C/M/Y) maintain similar electrochemical properties compared to their corresponding organic solvent-based polymer films. It is intriguing that WDECP-C/M/Y exhibit better electrochromic properties in terms of higher cycling stability (97.24%, 95.05%, and 52.84%, respectively) and faster switching time (0.94 s, 1.09 s, and 1.34 s for coloring time, respectively) due to the introduction of nanoparticles. In addition, it can achieve various desired colors by blending the C/M/Y WDEN systems in different ratios. The calculated chromaticity coordinates of the blending polymer films show close values to the experimental observation, and the calculated Δ E * ab values range from 2.6 to 10.3, which may provide theoretical guidance for precisely color control. Finally, large-scale and patterned devices were assembled, which can achieve colored-to-colorless reversible electrochromism at a low driving voltage of 0–1.5 V. This work puts forward a universal and environmentally sustainable strategy to prepare WDEN systems, demonstrating their wide range of applications in display devices and electronic tags. Many stimuli‐responsive materials harness the reversible association of supramolecular binding motifs to enable advanced functionalities such as self‐healing, switchable adhesion, or mechanical adaptation. Despite extensive research into the structure–property relationships of these materials, direct correlations between molecular‐level changes in supramolecular binding and macroscopic material behaviors have mostly remained elusive. Here, we show that this challenge can be overcome with supramolecular binding motifs featuring integrated binding indicators. We demonstrate this using a novel motif that combines a hydrogen‐bonding ureido‐4‐pyrimidinone (UPy) with two strategically placed pyrene fluorophores. Dimerization of this motif promotes pyrene excimer formation, facilitating the straightforward optical quantification of supramolecular assembly under various conditions. We exploit the new motif as a supramolecular cross‐linker in poly(methyl acrylate)s to probe the extent of (dis)assembly as a function of cross‐linker content, processing history, and applied stimuli. We demonstrate that the stimuli‐induced dissociation of hydrogen‐bonding linkages strongly depends on the initial cross‐link density, which also dictates whether the force‐induced dissociation in polymer films correlates with the applied stress or strain. Thus, beyond introducing a robust tool for the in situ study of dynamic (dis)assembly mechanisms in supramolecular systems, our findings provide new insights into the mechanoresponsive behavior of such materials. Pharmaceutical tablets are often coated with a layer of polymeric material to protect the drug from environmental degradation, facilitate the packaging process, and enhance patient compliance. However, the detailed effects of such coating layers on drug release are not well understood. To investigate this, flat-faced pure microcrystalline cellulose tablets with a diameter of 13 mm and a thickness between 1.5 mm to 1.6 mm were directly compressed, and a film coating layer with a thickness of 80 μm to 120 μm was applied to one face of these tablets. This tablet geometry and immediate release film coating were chosen as a model system to understand how the film coating interacts with the tablet core. The coating hydration and dissolution process was studied using terahertz pulsed imaging, while optical coherence tomography was used to capture further details on the swelling process of the polymer in the coated tablet. The study investigated the film coating polymer dissolution process and found the gelling of dissolving polymer restricted the capillary liquid transport in the core. These findings can help predict the dissolution of film coating within the typical range of thickness (30 μm to 40 μm) and potentially be extended to understand modified release coating formulations. This work presents the preparation of a gold-polypyrrole (Au-PPy) composite film on a silicon (Si) semiconductor supported by electrodeposition, and the study of its electrocatalytic activity as an anode catalyst for the glucose oxidation reaction in alkaline media. The microstructure of the as-prepared Au-PPy film is characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that the presence of the polymer film on the Si support improves the conductivity of the latter and enables better distribution of the Au microparticles on the electrode surface, thus helping to increase their catalytic activity for glucose oxidation. The polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) film has been widely applied as a heat‐resistant thin insulation film and sensor film. For the safe and long application of the film in various products, one significant characteristic is the partial discharge (PD) resistivity. In this study, a well‐known IEC(b) electrode is used to measure PD characteristics such as the maximum partial discharge, qmax and fast PD current waveforms at AC peak voltages of 1–3 kVp and 50–1000 Hz over PEN films with thicknesses of 75, 50, or 25 μm. All experiments are conducted at room temperature of ~20 °C. The positive PD current is defined as the current flowing from a high‐voltage electrode to a ground electrode. The positive and negative qmax increased rapidly with the applied voltage increase but remained almost the same for the applied voltage frequency changes. The PD current duration time was less than 40 ns for the positive current and 30 ns for the negative current at all voltages, frequencies, and film thicknesses. The application of pressure sensors based on perovskite in high-humidity environments is limited by the effect of water on their stability. Endowing sensors with superhydrophobicity is an effective strategy to overcome the issue. In this work, MAPbBr 3 /Polyvinylidene Fluoride-TFSI composite was prepared by a one-step in-situ strategy to form a flexible superhydrophobic pressure sensor, which exhibited a contact angle of 150.25°. The obtained sensor exhibited a sensitivity of 0.916 in 1 kPa, a detection limit of 0.2 Pa, a precision of 0.1 Pa, and a response/recovery of ∼100 ms, along with good thermal stability. Through density functional theory calculations, it is revealed that the formation of the porosity is attributed to the interaction between the polymer and EMIM TFSI, which further leads to superhydrophobicity. And, the perovskite structure is easy to change under pressure, affecting the carrier transport and electrical signals output, which explains the sensing mechanism. In addition, the sensor performed well in monitoring facial expression, pulse, respiration, finger bending, and wind speed ranging from 1 m/s to 6 m/s. This study reports on the tribological performance of aromatic thermosetting co-polyester (ATSP) and polyether ether ketone (PEEK)-based polymer composite coatings mixed with PTFE filler. The coatings were tested across a wide temperature range from −180 to 110 °C to simulate the environmental temperatures on Titan, Moon, and Mars, which are of particular interest for NASA's future exploratory missions. An experimental setup was developed to conduct the pin-on-disk experiments under dry sliding conditions and extreme temperature and contact pressure. Transfer film formation and its characteristics were found to play significant roles in the tribological performance, and the characteristics of the film were temperature-dependent. The XPS and SEM analysis indicated the increase of the PTFE content in the transfer film as the temperature decreased to cryogenic conditions. The coefficient of friction did not follow a linear trend with temperature and was minimum at 110 °C and maximum at −180 °C. ATSP coating showed superior performance with lower friction and unmeasurable wear at all temperatures, whereas PEEK coating exhibited maximum wear at 25 °C followed by −180, and 110 °C. We establish a sample‐ and data‐processing pipeline that allows for high‐throughput optical microscope measurement of porous films, provided they are sufficiently optically scattering. Here, self‐limiting electrospray deposition (SLED) is used to manufacture scattering films of different morphologies. This technique compensates for the scattering of the films through background subtraction of the reflection image with the transmission image. This process is implemented through a combination of an ImageJ and MATLAB data pipeline; the Canny edge‐detector is used as the image‐processing algorithm to identify the boundaries of the film. This process is verified against manually measured images; a comparative study between cross‐sectional scanning electron microscopy (where scattering effects are diminished) and optical microscopy also verifies that our optical microscopy technique can be used to consistently, non‐destructively measure film thickness regardless of film morphology. Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) possess low operating voltage and excellent amplification capability and show promising applications in biosensors and flexible electronics. However, the active layers of OECTs are usually dense films, which show limited ion penetration/transport, resulting in limited performances of OECTs. Here, unprecedented high‐performance flexible multifunctional OECTs based on nanoporous (mainly 2–60 nm), high‐specific‐surface‐area (255–281 m2 g−1), and flexible conjugated polymer aerogel films are developed. The nanoporous structures effectively facilitate ion penetration/transport, leading to significantly enhanced transconductance (48.5–53.5 mS) and on/off ratio (6.4 × 104) of the OECTs compared with those of dense devices. The resulting OECT‐based glucose sensors exhibit an ultralow detection limit of 1 pm, approximately two to three orders of magnitude lower than those of the previously reported OECT glucose sensors, and an ultrabroad detection range of 1 pm–5 m. They can detect trace amounts of glucose in sweat, serum, saliva, and urine in real time. Moreover, the OECTs can be used for high‐performance flexible artificial synapses and electrocardiogram monitoring. Guided nanowires grown on polymer surfaces facilitate their seamless integration as flexible devices without post‐growth processing steps. However, this is challenging due to the inability of polymer films to provide the required lattice‐matching effect. In this work, this challenge is addressed by replicating highly aligned nanogrooves from a compact disc (CD) onto a casted flexible polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surface. Leveraging the replicated nanogrooves, copper hexadecafluorophthalocyanine (F16CuPc) and various metal phthalocyanines are guided into large‐area, self‐aligned nanowires. Subsequently, by employing specifically designed shadow masks during electrode deposition, these nanowires are seamlessly integrated as either a monolithic flexible photodetector with a large sensing area or on‐chip flexible photodetector arrays. The resulting flexible photodetectors exhibit millisecond and long‐term stable response to UV–vis–NIR light. Notably, they demonstrate exceptional bending stability, retaining stable and sensitive photoresponse even at a curvature radius as low as 0.5 cm and after enduring 1000 bending cycles. Furthermore, the photodetector array showcases consistent sensitivity and response speed across the entire array. This work not only proves the viability of guided nanowire growth on flexible polymer surfaces by replicating CD nanogrooves but also underscores the potential for large‐scale monolithic integration of guided nanowires as flexible devices. Scintillators can convert the ionizing radiation into visible light and are crucial in X/γ‐ray detectors. Commercial detectors often use multiple scintillators with photodetector arrays, where optical crosstalk can degrade the performance. Chiral scintillators, emitting circularly polarized light, offer a promising solution for regulating the direction of light propagation to enhance X‐ray detecting merits. Here novel chiral metal‐organic polymers have been developed via photopolymerization, using chiral polymeric monomers and 0D Mn(II)‐based organic‐metal halide hybrid scintillators, achieving luminescence dissymmetry factors (glum) of 5.823 × 10−2 and −2.877 × 10−2. Two such scintillators, (atpp)2MnCl4·0.5H2O (MnCl4−1) and (atpp)2MnBr4 (MnBr4−2), exhibit excellent X‐ray scintillation rooted in tetrahedral [MnX4]2− crystal field. Compound MnBr4−2, with heavier bromine atoms, shows superior performance with a detection limit of 0.117 µGyair s−1, compared to 0.330 µGyair s−1 of MnCl4−1, both surpassing the medical diagnostic standard of 5.50 µGyair s−1. The chiral metal‐organic polymer film derived from MnBr4−2 has achieved a resolution up to 14.84 lp mm−1, exceeding medical standards for dental (2.0 lp mm−1) and breast cancer (10.0 lp mm−1) imaging. For successful treatment of diseases, sufficient therapeutics must be provided to the body. Microneedle applications in therapeutic delivery and analytics sampling are restricted because of various issues, including smaller area for drug loading and analytics sampling. To achieve sufficient drug loading and analytics sampling and improve drug penetration while maintaining painless administration, patch-type microneedle arrays were designed and fabricated using polymer casting from a conical cavity mold. Microcavities were formed on a carbon plate via micromechanical machining. A porous polymer layer was coated on a microneedle patch (MNP). The pores of the porous polymer layer provided space and channels for drug delivery. A pH-sensitive polymer layer was employed to cap the porous polymer layer, which prevented drug leakage during storage and provided a stimulus drug release in response to body pH conditions. The drug can be delivered through holes connected to both sides of the patch. The drug release of the MNP was investigated in vitro and in vivo and showed conceptual proof that these MNs have the potential to enhance treatment protocols for various diseases with the flexibility of coating and therapeutic materials and offer significant scope for further variations and advancement. Current families of reversible photochemical reactions present challenges for light‐controlled polymers of either photostationary states, which are common in photoinduced cycloaddition/cycloreversion reactions, or exclusively intramolecular bond changes, which characterize most photochromic units. In response to these challenges, here the concept of “proximal photocleavage” is presented, which combines photochemical crosslinking with a photocleavable linker, enabling a one‐time bond formation/cleavage sequence. Proximal photocleavage methacrylate monomers comprising, in series along the pendant of the methacrylate, a coumarin unit for crosslinking and either a phenacyl or ortho‐nitrobenzyl photocleavable group for decrosslinking are reported. The photophysical properties of these monomers and their statistical copolymers with methyl methacrylate are described, and wavelength selective crosslinking and de‐crosslinking of thin polymer films are demonstrated. Effective recycling of mixed materials requires the separation of the different components without the need for toxic solvents. One approach involves utilizing a water‐soluble coating with reversible photo‐cross‐linkers, making it robust until end of life where it can then be dissolved in water after de‐cross‐linking. Here, a novel coumarin methacrylate monomer and its nitroxide‐mediated copolymerization to create poly((methacrylic acid)‐co‐(styrene sulfonate)‐co‐(coumarin methacrylate)) for water‐soluble thin films are reported. Under exposure to light, the coumarin functional groups produce reversible [2+2] cycloadditions which cross‐link the resulting polymer films, making them no longer water soluble. Characterization of reversible cross‐linking behavior is reported through changes in contact angle and in situ rheological characterization. The resulting polymers are successfully integrated into metal–insulator–metal capacitors, demonstrating the potential use for water‐soluble reversible photo‐cross‐linkable dielectric materials for organic electronics. Mechanochromic materials have received broad research interests recently, owing to its ability to monitor the in situ stress/strain in polymer materials in a straightforward way. However, one major setback that hinders the practical application of these materials is their low sensitivity toward tensile strain. Here a new strategy for pre‐stretching of the mechanochromic agent in a polymer film on the molecular scale, which can effectively enhance the mechanochromic sensitivity of a polymer film toward tensile strain, is shown. In situ fluorescent measurement during tensile test shows an early activation of the mechanochromic agent at tensile strain as low as 50%. The pre‐stretching effect is realized by first inducing ring‐opening of the mechanochromic agent by molecular functionalization, and then compelling the ring‐closure process in the cured film by elevated temperature. This post‐curing ring‐closure process will result in pre‐stretched mechanochromic agent in a crosslinked network. The mechanism for mechanochromic activation of polymer films with different composition is elaborated by visco‐elastic measurements, and the effect of pre‐stretching is further confirmed by films with other compositions. Combined with the simplicity of the method developed, this work could offer an alternative strategy to enhance the sensitivity of different mechanochromic agents toward tensile strain. Poly(2-aminothiazole) is a little-studied conducting polymer with sulfur and nitrogen heteroatoms in the aromatic ring, which reveals prospects for application in various fields. We studied the conditions of chemical synthesis of poly(2-aminothiazole) and its composite with graphene oxide in an aqueous solution, as well as electrochemical deposition on electrode surfaces – Pt and SnO2. The structure of the polymer was investigated by SEM and FT-IR spectroscopy. A quantum-chemical calculation using the semi-empirical PM7 method was carried out. The electropolymerization of anthranilic acid (2-aminobenzoic acid) has been shown to lead to the production of a redox polymer functionalized with carboxylate groups capable of complexing metal ions. The polymer was exploited as a means of capturing ferric ion from solution with the iron decorated polymer chains used as seeding points for the formation of Prussian blue (PB). Nanoclusters of PB were dispersed throughout the three-dimensional polymer matrix with deposition achieved through direct electrochemical means or via a dip process. The latter exploited the chemical combination of Fe(III) + Ferrocyanide to yield PB allowing its dispersal of the PB throughout the polymer film. The polymer film and its subsequent modification have been characterized by electron microscopy, X-ray analysis, Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis. Polymer-based dressings deriving from natural biomaterials have advantages such as nontoxicity, biocompatibility, and mechanical stability, which are essential for efficient wound healing and microbial infection diagnostics. Here, we designed a prototype of an intelligent hydrogel dressing on the base of bacterial cellulose (BC) for monitoring wound microbial infection due to the uploaded natural pH dye-sensor, anthocyanins (ANC) of elderberry fruit (Sambucus nigra L.). The highest sensor responses to bacterial metabolites for ANC immobilized to BC were observed at pH 5.0 and 6.0. The detection limit of the sensor signals was 3.45 A.U., as it was evaluated with a smartphone-installed application. The FTIR spectral analysis of the hybrid BC/ANC hydrogel films has proved the presence of anthocyanins within the BC matrix. Hybrid films differed from the control ones by thicker microfibrils and larger pores, as detected with scanning electron microscopy. Halochromic BC/ANC films exhibited antimicrobial activities mainly against gram-positive bacteria and yeast. They showed no cytotoxicity for the in vitro human cell lines and mouse fibroblasts within a selected range of anthocyanin concentrations released from the BC/ANC film/dressing prototype. Compared to the control, the in vitro healing test showed overgrowth of primary mouse fibroblasts after applying 0.024–2.4 µg/mL ANC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) molds were used for the production of large-area and inexpensive superhydrophobic polymer films. A controlled anodization methodology was developed for the fabrication of hierarchical micro–nanoporous (HMN) AAO imprint molds (HMN-AAO), where phosphoric acid was used as both an electrolyte and a widening agent. Heat generated upon repetitive high-voltage (195 V) anodization steps is effectively dissipated by establishing a cooling channel. On the HMN-AAO, within the hemispherical micropores, arrays of hexagonal nanopores are formed. The diameter and depth of the micro- and nanopores are 18/8 and 0.3/1.25 µm, respectively. The gradual removal of micropatterns during etching in both the vertical and horizontal directions is crucial for fabricating HMN-AAO with a high aspect ratio. HMN-AAO rendered polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) films with respective water contact angles (WCAs) of 153° and 151°, respectively. The increase in the WCA is 80% for PC (85°) and 89% for PMMA (80°). On the PC and PMMA films, mechanically robust arrays of nanopillars are observed within the hemispherical micropillars. The micro–nanopillars on these polymer films are mechanically robust and durable. Regular nanoporous AAO molds resulted in only a hydrophobic polymer film (WCA = 113–118°). Collectively, the phosphoric acid-based controlled anodization strategy can be effectively utilized for the manufacturing of HMN-AAO molds and roll-to-roll production of durable superhydrophobic surfaces. The optimization of the process of polymer film orientational drawing using the local heater was investigated. One of the problems with this technology is that the strength of the resulting fibers differs significantly from the theoretical estimates. It is assumed that one of the reasons is related to the peculiarity of this technology, when at the point of drawing the film is heated only on one side, which creates a temperature difference between the sides of the film in contact with the heater and the non-contact sides of the film in the air. Estimates show that even a small temperature difference of just 1 °C between these surfaces leads to a significant difference in the rate of plastic deformation of the corresponding near-surface layers. As a consequence, during hardening, in the stretching region, tensile stress is concentrated on the "cold" side of the film, and this effect can presumably lead to the generation of more defects overthere. It has been suggested that defects arising during first stage of hardening, namely, neck formation, can serve as a trigger for the formation of defects such as kink bands on the "cold" side with further orientational strengthening due to plastic deformation of the resulting fibrillar structure, at the boundaries of which microcracks are formed, leading to rupture of the oriented sample. The numerical calculation of heat propagation due to heat conduction in the film from the local surface of the heater is carried out and the temperature distribution along the thickness and width of the film during drawing is found. The temperature difference in the heated layer of the film between the contact and non-contact sides with the heater was calculated depending on the thickness of the film and the speed of its movement along the heater. It was found that the most homogeneous temperature distribution over the film thickness, which is required, by default, for the synchronous transformation of the unoriented initial folded lamellar structure into a fibrillar structure, is observed only for films with a thickness of less than 50 μm. We describe a fully open‐sourced Python package to process raw X‐ray scattering data using a GANESHA SAXSLAB facility, and review in this manuscript the connection of X‐ray scattering theories with the open‐sourced package. This package affords researchers more flexibility in analyzing and visualizing X‐ray scattering and reflectivity data from what is now a commonplace facility at many universities and research laboratories engaged in polymer research. We briefly review the applications of X‐ray scattering and diffraction, followed by the scattering theories. A pedagogical introduction to processing X‐ray scattering data is provided using the modules in the Python package. We compare conventions to visualize and interpret transmission and grazing‐incidence scattering data using self‐assembled lamellar morphology of bottlebrush copolymers as an example, then describe how area detectors measure specular and off‐specular reflectivity. Examples of in‐house reflectivity and grazing incidence scattering for the metrological examination of a grating are provided, where the full pitch and pitch height of a line pattern is measured easily without needing to simulate the full scattering intensity profile. As a class of semiconductor nanocrystals that exhibit high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) at tunable wavelengths, perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) are attractive candidates for optoelectronic and light‐emitting devices. However, attempts to optimize PNC integration into such applications suffer from PNC instability and loss of PL over time. Here, we describe the impact of organic and polymeric N‐oxides when used in conjunction with PNCs, whereby a significant increase in PNC quantum yield is observed in solution, and stable PL emission is obtained in polymeric nanocomposites. Specifically, when using aliphatic N‐oxides in ligand exchange with CsPbBr3 PNCs in solution, a substantial boost in PNC brightness is observed (~40% or more PLQY increase), followed by an alteration of the perovskite chemistry. When N‐oxide substituents are positioned pendent to a poly(n‐butyl methacrylate) backbone, the optically clear flexible nanocomposite films obtained have bright PL emission and maintain optical clarity for months. X‐ray diffraction is useful for characterizing the PNC crystalline structure following exposure to aliphatic N‐oxides, while electron microscopy (EM) and small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) measurements of the PNC‐polymer nanocomposites show this polymeric N‐oxide platform to cleanly disperse PNCs in flexible polymer films. Conjugated polymers consist of complex backbone structures and side‐chain moieties to meet various optoelectronic and processing requirements. Recent work on conjugated polymers has been devoted to studying the mechanical properties and developing new conjugated polymers with low modulus and high‐crack onset strain, while the thin film mechanical stability under long‐term external tensile strain is less investigated. Here we performed direct mechanical stress relaxation tests for both free‐standing and thin film floated on water surface on both high‐Tg and low‐Tg conjugated polymers, as well as a reference nonconjugated sample, polystyrene. We measured thin films with a range of film thickness from 38 to 179 nm to study the temperature and thickness effect on thin film relaxation, where an apparent enthalpy–entropy compensation effect for glassy polymer PS and PM6 thin films was observed. We also compared relaxation times across three different conjugated polymers and showed that both crystalline morphology and higher modulus reduce the relaxation rate besides higher glass transition temperature. Our work provides insights into the mechanical creep behavior of conjugated polymers, which will have an impact on the future design of stable functional organic electronics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

For advancing next‐generation optoelectronics, a versatile strategy for fabricating π‐conjugated polymer (π‐CP)/chiral‐small molecule (SM) hybrid films through co‐crystallization‐mediated chirality transfer is reported. The transfer of optical chirality from 1,1′‐binaphthyl–2,2′‐diamine (BN), a representative chiral inducer SM, to thin films of various achiral π‐CPs, including non‐fluorene π‐CPs, is achieved by simply blending the π‐CPs with BN using aromatic organic solvents. The resulting π‐CP/chiral‐SM hybrid films exhibit chiroptical responses at the main electronic absorption bands of various π‐CPs. Studies of the morphology, crystalline structure, and phase‐separation structure of a representative hybrid system of poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and BN reveal that these hybrid films exhibit a characteristic lamellar structure where the π‐CPs co‐crystallize with chiral BN molecules, facilitated by aromatic solvent‐assisted intermolecular π–π interactions. In‐depth photophysical analysis suggests that BN molecules co‐crystallized in the P3HT lamellar structure induce asymmetrically misaligned transition dipoles along the P3HT conjugated backbone, transferring optical chirality from BN to P3HT under circularly polarized light illumination. As a proof‐of‐concept, chiroptical photodiodes based on π‐CP/chiral‐SM hybrid films and printed micropatterns, exhibiting a distinguishable photocurrent response depending on the direction of circularly polarized light are successfully demonstrated. The present study used ultra-sonication approach to manufacture ZnO/NiFe 2 O 4 (ZNF) and casting technique to prepare ZnO/NiFe 2 O 4 –Cs/PVP nanocomposite films. The successful creation of these nanocomposites with a significant decrease in the % crystallinity of the polymer blend with doping agent was verified by XRD results. ZNF and the Cs/PVP chains interacted in the polymer nanocomposites, as seen by the spectra of the FTIR. To determine the direct and indirect optical band gaps, tauc graphs were studied using data from UV–Vis analysis. The results indicate that while the Urbach energy was found to increase, the optical band gaps decreased as the weight percentage of the nanofiller increased. Using a thermogravimetric approach, the thermal stability of the produced PNCs has been investigated. Conductivity experiments demonstrated that when the nanofiller ZNF content increased to 2.5 wt%, so did AC conductivity, the dielectric loss, and the dielectric constant. The correlation between the mechanism of conduction and the amount of nanoparticles indicates that an increase in the percentage of ZNF in nanocomposites could increase their conductivity, with values ranging from 3.72 × 10−12 for pure blend to 7.72 × 10−8 S/cm for 2.5%ZNF-Cs/PVP at 100 Hz. The dielectric measurements for the nanocomposite films showed an increase in dielectric losses and dielectric constant, which is indicative of the films' enhanced dielectric polarization. The results of characterization point to possible uses of these polymer nanocomposites in flexible optoelectronic and magneto-electronic applications and energy storage devices. Flexible integration spurs diverse applications in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). However, current configurations suffer from the trade-off between MOF loadings and mechanical compliance. We report a wrinkled configuration of MOF thin films. We established an interfacial synthesis confined and controlled by a polymer topcoat and achieved multiple Turing motifs in the wrinkled thin films. These films have complete MOF surface coverage and exhibit strain tolerance up to 53.2%. The enhanced mechanical properties allow film transfer onto various substrates. We obtained membranes with large H2/CO2 selectivity (41.2) and high H2 permeance (8.46 × 103 gas permeation units), showcasing negligible defects after transfer. We also achieved soft humidity sensors on delicate electrodes by avoiding exposure to harsh MOF synthesis conditions. Poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) has recently attracted significant attention as a potential candidate for small‐scale thermoelectric conversion because of its ease of doping, and solution processability. This study addressed the fabrication of self‐standing PEDOT:PSS films modified with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) surfactant, presuming different annealing temperatures. According to the investigation, optimizing the annealing temperature improves crystal quality and increases the efficiency of PEDOT:PSS films. The resulting PEDOT:PSS films showed the highest electrical conductivity of about 623.68 Scm−1 and maximum power factor of 25.87 μWm−1 K−2. In addition to confirming thermoelectric properties; SDBS surfactants are being investigated to plasticize PEDOT:PSS films at different concentrations and annealing temperatures. With an optimization in annealing temperature, the elongation at break value similarly improves; and the highest elongation at break was observed at 0.94 wt% SDBS concentration, reaching 32%. To completely understand the underlying reasons for this dependence, higher‐order structures and electronic states of polymer films have been examined using electronic reflectance spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction analysis. Overall, the outcomes of this work show how important surfactants and their annealing temperature are for improving the mechanical and thermoelectric characteristics of self‐standing PEDOT:PSS films. Digitally‐encoded poly(phosphodiesters) (d‐PPDE) with highly complex primary structures are evaluated for layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly. To be easily decoded by mass spectrometry (MS), these digital polymers contain many different monomers: 2 coding units allowing binary encryption, 1 cleavable spacer allowing controlled MS fragmentation, and 3 mass tags allowing fragment identification. These complex heteropolymers are therefore composed of 6 different motifs. Despite this strong sequence heterogeneity, it is found that they enable a highly controlled LbL film formation. For instance, a regular growth is observed when alternating the deposition of negatively‐charged d‐PPDE and positively‐charged poly(allyl amine hydrochloride) (PAH). Yet, in this approach, the interdistance between consecutive coded d‐PPDE layers remains relatively small, which may be an issue for data storage applications, especially for the selective decoding of the stored information. Using poly(sodium 4‐styrene sulfonate) (PSS) as an intermediate non‐coded polyanion, it is shown that a controlled interdistance between d‐PPDE layers can be easily achieved, while still maintaining a regular LbL growth. Last but not least, it is found in this work that d‐PPDE of relatively small molecular weight (i.e., significantly smaller than those of PAH and PSS) still enables a controlled LbL assembly. Bio‐active ethylcellulose (EC) polymeric films have been obtained by incorporating curcumin (curc) and Ag(I)‐based compounds, known for their antioxidant and antimicrobial activity, respectively, within the polymeric matrix. The recently reported Ag(I) coordination polymer, in both its structural forms (α‐[(bpy)Ag(OTf)]∞ and β‐{[(bpy)Ag][OTf]}∞), and the [(bpy)Ag(OTf)]∞‐curc polymeric co‐crystal (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine; OTf=trifluoromethanesulfonate) have been selected as Ag(I) species. The hybrid composite films have been prepared through the simple solvent casting method and characterized through Powder X‐Ray Diffraction (PXRD), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), UV‐vis spectroscopy. The deep investigation of the film samples highlighted the non‐inert behaviour of EC towards these specific active ingredients. Antimicrobial tests showed that EC films embedding the Ag(I)‐based compounds present good antimicrobial performance, in particular against Staphylococcus aureus, used as a model of Gram‐positive bacteria. In addition, Silver migration tests, performed on the Ag(I)‐incorporating EC films, evidenced low values of silver release particularly in the case of the EC films incorporating [(bpy)Ag(OTf)]∞‐curc. The present study elucidates the role of annealing with electric field on lamellar crystalline structure and molecular orientation of polymer chains in ferroelectric copolymer (P(VDF‐TrFE)) and ferroelectric terpolymer (P(VDF‐TrFE‐CFE)) spin‐coated thin films. The ferroelectric polymer thin films annealed under an electric field support the growth of nanostructure with an “edge‐on” lamellar crystalline structure having in‐plane molecular chain orientation. The poled P(VDF‐TrFE) thin films have higher remnant polarization (Pr) ≈6.2 µC cm−2 and saturation polarization (Ps) ≈8.2 µC cm−2 at an applied electric field of 250 MV/m compared to unpoled thin films having Pr ≈4.7 and Ps ≈6.2 µC cm−2. Also, poled P(VDF‐TrFE) thin films show lower coercive field (Ec) ≈94 MV/m compared to an unpoled thin film having Ec ≈105 MV/m. Similarly, poled PVDF‐TrFE‐CFE thin film shows better ferroelectric properties having Pr ≈0.4 and Ps ≈5.7 µC cm−2 at an applied electric field of 200 MV m−1 compared to unpoled thin films having Pr ≈0.4 and Ps ≈4.1 µC cm−2. The storage energy efficiency of unpoled and poled P(VDF‐TrFE‐CFE) thin films is measured to be ≈75% and 80%. Annealing of ferroelectric P(VDF‐TrFE) polymer thin films under an electric field demonstrates improved ferroelectric and electroactive properties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) benefit from an effective electrolyte system design in both terms of their safety and energy storage capability. Herein, a series of precursor membranes with high porosity were produced using electrospinning technology by mixing PVDF and triblock copolymer (PS-PEO-PS), resulting in a porous structure with good interconnections, which facilitates the absorbency of a large amount of electrolyte and further increases the ionic conductivity of gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs). It has been demonstrated that post-cross-linking of the precursor membranes increases the rigidity of the nanofibers, which allows the polymer film to be dimensionally stable up to 260 °C while maintaining superior electrochemical properties. The obtained cross-linked GPEs (CGPEs) showed high ionic conductivity up to 4.53×10−3 S·cm−1. With the CGPE-25, the assembled Li/LiFePO4 half cells exhibited good rate capability and maintained a capacity of 99.4% and a coulombic efficiency of 99.3% at 0.1 C. These results suggest that the combination of electrospinning technique and post-cross-linking is an effective method to construct polymer electrolytes with high thermal stability and steadily decent electrochemical performance, particularly useful for Lithium-ion battery applications that require high-temperature usage.
