- Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the ClassDojo application and the role of parents in improving elementary school students' understanding of Mathematics learning. ClassDojo is a classroom application that allows teachers to facilitate learning, communicate with students and parents, and carry out assessments in real-time. In Mathematics learning, this application supports teachers to provide materials, explanations, and assessments through interactive and engaging features, which are expected to improve student understanding. This study uses an experimental method with pretest and posttest designs, involving control classes and experiments in class VI of SDN Sepatan I, Sepatan District, for the 2019/2020 school year, with a total of 30 students. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive influence of the use of ClassDojo on students' understanding, which is higher than the conventional method. Based on the t-test with a significance level of 5% and degrees of freedom (n-2), t_hitung values of 3.833 and 2.2312 were obtained, both of which were greater than t_tabel (1.670). This indicates that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In conclusion, the use of ClassDojo has been proven to have a positive impact and significantly improve student understanding compared to conventional methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
