Under the continuous development of China's social economy, the Internet and multimedia technology have been developed and innovated and are widely used in all walks of life and all fields. Because of their powerful interactivity, effectiveness, and dynamism, combining them with colleges and universities' English teaching plays an essential role in enriching teaching resources and improving teaching efficiency and quality. This paper proposes an improved LSTM model based on the web and multimedia environment, which improves the prediction effect of neural networks by adding an attention mechanism to the LSTM layer. The attention mechanism is based on a decision support system that automates the availability of various teaching resources to ensure an interactive teaching and learning environment in the colleges and universities. The decision support system of attention mechanism enhances the model's generalization ability by tuning the model parameters with the genetic algorithm (GA). Finally, this paper proposes some suggestions on improving the effectiveness of teaching English as a foreign language in the online and multimedia environment, taking into account the popular MU teaching format and English APP. The Huixian karst wetland, situated in southwest China, is the largest karst wetland. Historically, organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) have negatively affected the aquatic environment and the health of surrounding residents. In this study, the pollution status and environmental fate of OCPs in multiple environmental media in the Huixian wetland were investigated. The 15 OCPs' total concentration ranges in lake water, ditch water, groundwater, and lake sediment were 46.8–306 ng·L−1, 77.8–251 ng·L−1, 26.0–233 ng·L−1, and 44.8–345 ng·g−1, respectively. The concentrations and proportions of the different OCPs demonstrated significant seasonality. Historical residues are the main source of OCPs in the region, as evidenced by the typical ratios of DDTs and HCHs. Karst regions are extremely vulnerable to environmental changes, as evidenced by the highly dynamic character of the karst wetland system and the rapid migration of multimodal OCPs in different media without considerable damage. According to the risk assessment, both the possible carcinogenic risk to sediments in the Huixian wetland and the ecological risk to water bodies were acceptable. In contrast, the consumption of lake water may put the local population at health risk, which is a cause of concern. The booming haptic data significantly improve the users' immersion during multimedia interaction. As a result, the study of a Haptic-based Interaction System has attracted the attention of the multimedia community. To construct such a system, a challenging task is the synchronization of multiple sensorial signals that is critical to the user experience. Despite audio-visual synchronization efforts, there is still a lack of a haptic-aware multimedia synchronization model. In this work, we propose a timestamp-independent synchronization for haptic–visual signal transmission. First, we exploit the sequential correlations during delivery and playback of a haptic–visual communication system. Second, we develop a key sample extraction of haptic signals based on the force feedback characteristics and a key frame extraction of visual signals based on deep-object detection. Third, we combine the key samples and frames to synchronize the corresponding haptic–visual signals. Without timestamps in the signal flow, the proposed method is still effective and more robust in complicated network conditions. The paper examines changes in pedagogical and educational processes caused by the emergence of modern digital technologies, which have encouraged the gradual transition from traditional to multimedia teaching. It also deals with the importance of digital libraries in providing information services for independent learning in a multimedia environment, especially at a time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The multimedia environment is analyzed as very stimulating for the development of competencies for independent and lifelong learning - a prerequisite for the progress of any democratically organized society, and the role of digital libraries, which act in accordance with the principles of open access to information. The purpose is to establish whether activities developed in an author's language, as didactic mediation, affect the cognitive development that allows students to perform mental calculations. It is a quantitative study of a descriptive correlational type, with a target population of 63 students in basic primary education with an average age between 8 and 11 years. It concludes that there is a positive relationship between the use of activities and the development of mental computation in students.

We applied passive equilibrium sampling using silicone-based chemometers to nine biota species, sediment, and water in a multimedia aquatic ecosystem. They allowed for direct comparison of the concentration of regulated and emerging hydrophobic organic compounds in the silicone across species as well as the comparison of biota with sediments and water. We derived chemometer-based trophic magnification factors (TMFs) of diverse compounds that agreed with the traditionally derived TMFs. Our exploratory work in water demonstrated that equilibrium with newly designed chemometers can be achieved in few days for compounds with a log K OW up to 6. We calculated activity ratios, dividing the concentrations in the silicone equilibrated with biota by those equilibrated with the abiotic exposure media (sediments and water), assessing the thermodynamics of bioaccumulation and the equilibrium state between the ecosystem compartments. They confirmed that the biota were below equilibrium partitioning relative to sediments and water, as other studies have described. Silicone-based chemometers open up new opportunities and applicability in multimedia aquatic ecosystems for studies that rely on equilibrium partitioning of the in-situ mixtures of chemicals, such as multimedia assessments or application of effect-based methods.

In order to improve the effect of English Teaching in multimedia environment, this paper proposes an English teaching method based on intelligent language AIDS in multimedia environment. Firstly, an intelligent speech teaching assistant system is designed in the multimedia environment. The software mainly includes four modules: new words and sentences, Chinese and English reading, voice evaluation, tools and settings. Learners can learn independently through the software, and teachers can also use the software to make various audio teaching resources in the classroom. In addition, the system can promote vocabulary teaching and support sentence pattern teaching and situational teaching in English teaching. The experimental results show that the average score of class 3A is increased from 86.35 to 86.79, with an increase of 0.64, which proves that the application of this method can effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of students in learning English and achieve good teaching effect. Over the last few years, there has been a growing interest in augmented reality (AR) technology for education. However, current AR education applications are often used as a new type of knowledge display platform, and they cannot fully participate in educational activities to improve educational results. To enable AR technology to participate in educational activities more effectively, according to learning-by-doing theory, we explore the form of a future experimental course and propose a new AR-based multimedia environment for experimental education. The framework of the multimedia environment consists of three components: the AR experiment authoring tool, the AR experiment application, and the management application. In this AR-based multimedia environment, teachers can independently create AR experiments using the what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG) editing method. Students can manipulate the AR-based experimental object to complete the experiment in class. Moreover, teachers can observe students' experimental behaviour, obtain evaluations in real time, and even guide students remotely. We also present an application case of a chemistry experiment and obtain results of the usability test, demonstrating improvements in AR technology participation in educational activities. At present, under the multimedia environment, the accuracy of the text information extraction of video images is poor. Moreover, the extraction process is complicated. In this paper, a text information extraction algorithm for video image based on time adaptive model is proposed. Using Sobel edge detection operator, text edge of the image is extracted. Using OSTU algorithm. the adaptive threshold is obtained, to make global binary processing smooth. Through selective masking smoothing, some irrelevant background is then filtered out. By morphological method, the text area is then merged. Finally, using the connected domain, the text area is extracted, to get the text block, and obtain the text information of the video image. On this basis, according to the color feature of text in video images, through user interaction, the learning process of color online machine based on the generated time and with adaptive model can be obtained to detect the same caption in the video sequence, so as to realize the text information extraction algorithm for video image in multimedia environment. In order to measure and enhance the carrying capacity of regional logistics system scientifically and give full play to the efficiency of regional logistics system, based on the perspective of sustainable development, this paper analyzes the network topology structure of regional logistics system. Combining the component elements and operation flow of regional logistics system, we take link line, operation capacity and energy environment as constraint conditions, and construct the measurement model of regional logistics system carrying capacity. The integrated management of logistics requires systematic integration of various modes of transportation, such as highway transportation, water transportation, rail transportation and air transportation, as well as the network of key nodes and their network. Therefore, we need to solve the different transportation models and the nodal carrying capacity calculation methods that constitute the logistics system. Social networking sites currently offer a whole host of possibilities in the classroom. The teaching social network gives students the chance to try out a great amount of groundbreaking and varied learning experiences. Along these lines, the use of video as a classroom tool can arm teachers with new methods for boosting motivation and improving the learning experience, bringing into the classroom resources used by students in their daily lives. The following account presents the results of a study that set out to analyze the learning needs of a group of French-language students on the basis of use of a social network combined with video in the classroom. To do so, a virtual space was created in an open-source social network used to knit together and centralize the activities of the group during the four-month academic term under study. This paper describes the design and development process used to create Alien Rescue, a multimedia-enhanced learning environment that supports problem-based learning (PBL) in middle school science. The goal of the project is to further our understandings of technology, pedagogy, and instructional theories as they relate to the application of PBL within middle school classrooms through the application of design-based research. A unique characteristic of the project is that it is developed entirely by a team of graduate learning technologies students, working under the direction and supervision of the faculty. Throughout the development process, graduate student developers learn steps and strategies for designing immersive learning environments, engage in technology development, and conduct research that informs future design iterations. Key features of the development model are described in detail and developers’ reflections are shared. Recommendations for those interested in engaging similar endeavors are provided. COVID-19 is deemed as the most critical world health calamity of the 21st century, leading to dramatic life loss. There is a pressing need to understand the multi-stage dynamics, including transmission routes of the virus and environmental conditions due to the possibility of multiple waves of COVID-19 in the future. In this paper, a systematic examination of the literature is conducted associating the virus-laden-aerosol and transmission of these microparticles into the multimedia environment, including built environments. Particularly, this paper provides a critical review of state-of-the-art modelling tools apt for COVID-19 spread and transmission pathways. GIS-based, risk-based, and artificial intelligence-based tools are discussed for their application in the surveillance and forecasting of COVID-19. Primary environmental factors that act as simulators for the spread of the virus include meteorological variation, low air quality, pollen abundance, and spatial-temporal variation. However, the influence of these environmental factors on COVID-19 spread is still equivocal because of other non-pharmaceutical factors. The limitations of different modelling methods suggest the need for a multidisciplinary approach, including the 'One-Health' concept. Extended One-Health-based decision tools would assist policymakers in making informed decisions such as social gatherings, indoor environment improvement, and COVID-19 risk mitigation by adapting the control measurements. A geo-referenced environmental fate model was developed for analyzing unsteady-state dispersion and distribution of chemicals in multimedia environmental systems. Chemical transport processes were formulated in seven environmental compartments of air, canopy, surface soil, root-zone soil, vadose-zone soil, surface water, and sediment. The model assumed that the compartments were completely mixed and chemical equilibrium was established instantaneously between the sub-compartments within each compartment. A fugacity approach was utilized to formulate the mechanisms of diffusion, advection, physical interfacial transport, and transformation reactions. The governing equations of chemical mass balances in the environmental compartments were solved simultaneously to reflect the interactions between the compartments. A geographic information system (GIS) database and geospatial analysis were integrated into the chemical transport simulation to provide spatially explicit estimations of model parameters at watershed scale. Temporal variations of the environmental properties and source emissions were also considered in the parameter estimations. The outputs of the model included time-dependent chemical concentrations in each compartment and its sub-compartments, and inter-media mass fluxes between adjacent compartments at daily time steps. A novel class of constant-length variable-weight optical orthogonal codes is proposed that can support multimedia services with different data rates and quality-of-service requirements. The construction is based on the pairwise balanced designs, or more specifically, on an incidence structure defined on an integer lattice. Proposed codes are suitable for spectral-amplitude coding, fast-frequency hopping, and time-spreading encoding in multimedia environment. A novel dual-balanced decoder is proposed capable of canceling multiuser interference in multimedia applications for spectral-amplitude-coding schemes employing the unipolar codes having nonfixed in-phase cross correlation.
