Ovaj rad se bavi osobom Djevice Marije, Majke Božje. Prvi dio rada donosi pregled proglašenja četiriju marijanskih dogma donesenih kroz crkvenu povijest, uz objašnjavanje okolnosti njihova nastanka. Uz proglašenje dogma, spominje se i neprekinuta važnost koju su Blaženoj Djevici davali crkveni oci od najranijih dana crkvene povijesti. Sve to s ciljem da se ukaže kako je Marija oduvijek imala važnu ulogu u životu Crkve, od njezinih najranijih dana. Drugi dio rada donosi određene razloge za čašćenje Djevice Marije, te kako Marija i danas ostaje bitna poveznica ljudi, posebice mladih, sa Spasiteljem. Uz to se spominje i Marijina uloga u Crkvi danas, te važnost pridavanja iste pozornosti Djevici u današnje vrijeme kako je to i nekad bilo. This paper deals with the person of Mary, Mother of God. The first part of the paper introduces four Marian dogma as they were proclaimed through the Church's history, alongside the explanation of circumstances of their proclamation. Along with the dogma, the continuous importance which was given to the Blessed Virgin by the holy fathers from the earlies days of Church's history, is also mentioned. The aim of this paper was to point to the fact that Mary has always had an important role in the life of the Church, ever since its beginnings. The second part of the paper brings forth some specific reasons as to why Mary should be honored, as well as why Mary is still an important link of the people, especially young ones, with the Savior. Mary's role in the Church today is also mentioned, as well as the importance of giving her the same attention as she had before.

Na svetkovinu Velike Gospe slavimo Marijino uznesenje u nebesku slavu. Taj gotovo od ranih stoljeća među vjernicima prisutan sadržaj vjere papa Pio XII proglasio je obvezujućim za čitavu Crkvu 1950. godine: „Proglašavamo, objavljujemo i definiramo, da je Bogom objavljena dogma da je, Bezgrešna Bogorodica uvijek Djevica Marija, završivši put zemaljskog života, bila tijelom i dušom uznesena u nebesku slavu.” Promatrajući Mariju gledamo, zapravo, i same sebe, jer ono što je Marija u svojoj nezamjenjivoj posebnosti doživjela, Bog je obećao i svim ljudima. Nakana je ovoga rada sažeto prikazati izabrane teme mariologije teologa Josepha Ratzingera, sadašnjega pape emeritusa Benedikta XVI., te slavnoga naučitelja Crkve sv. Bernarda iz Clairvauxa. U prvom poglavlju rada, približit ćemo mariološku misao Josepha Ratzingera te njezino važno značenje kako za antropološki, tako i za ekleziološki aspekt. U drugom poglavlju, nakana je predstaviti mariologiju sv. Bernarda u vidu njegovih propovijedi u kojima ističe važnost Marije u ekonomiji spasenja. Treće poglavlje, donosi osvrt o dvije teme dvojice naših autora: nauk o Bezgrešnoj te o djevičanskom rođenju, te njihovim sličnostima i razlikama. Posebne dodirne točke mariologije sv. Bernarda i pape emeritusa Benedikta XVI. jesu njihova promišljanja o Marijinoj bezgrešnosti i njezinu trajnom djevičanstvu. The purpose of this thesis is to summarize selected topics in the mariology of the theologian Joseph Ratzinger, the current Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI., and the famous Doctor of the Church St. Bernard of Clairvaux. In the first chapter of the thesis, we will bring closer Mariological thought of Joseph Ratzinger and its important significance for both antropological and ecclesiastical aspects. In the second chapter, the intention is to present the Mariology of St. Bernard of Clairvaux in the form of his sermons in which he hilights the importance of Mary in the economy of salvation. Third chapter brings overview of two topics by two our authors: the doctrine of the Immaculate and of the virgin birth, and their similarities and differences. Special points of the Mariology of St. Bernard and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. are their reflections on Mary's sinlessness and her perpetual virginity.

Cilj je članka upozoriti na temeljnu perspektivu čitanja Svetoga pisma, u kojoj se mogu ispravno razumjeti pojedini sveti tekstovi (prvi dio članka) i sveobuhvatnije tumačiti četiri marijanske dogme Crkve (drugi dio članka). U članku se osobito slijedi nauk II. vatikanskoga koncila te misli Josepha Ratzingera / Benedikta XVI., koji je dao vrlo važan doprinos glede cilja ovoga rada. Tim se putem dolazi do temeljnih rezultata istraživanja: svete tekstove valja tumačiti u svjetlu jedinstva i harmonije Pisma te polazeći od njegova središta – Isusa Krista. Najprikladniji metodički postupak za takvo tumačenje jest tzv. kanonska egzegeza, koja pojedini biblijski tekst čita u svjetlu cjeline Staroga i Novoga zavjeta. Tu bitnu ulogu imaju sveta predaja, analogija vjere i tipološke interpretacije. Time je otvorena i perspektiva za razumijevanje suglasja marijanskih dogmi s Božjom objavom. Stoga se u Pismu uočavaju slojevi biblijske tradicije koji predstavljaju uporište za mariologiju i marijanske dogme, a to su starozavjetna teologija žene i teologija Božjega naroda. Svi bitni elementi tih stvarnosti uosobljuju se u Mariji. Zato u Mariji Izrael, ali i Crkva postoje kao osoba, što je temeljna biblijsko-mariološka teza J. Ratzingera., The aim of the article is to point out the basic perspective of reading the Sacred Scripture, where individual sacred texts (the first part of the article) can be correctly understood and the four Marian Church dogmas (the second part of the article) can be interpreted more comprehensively. The article specifically follows the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and the thoughts of Joseph Ratzinger / Benedict XVI, who made a very important contribution regarding the aim of this work. In this way, the basic results of the research come to light: the sacred texts have to be interpreted in the light of the unity and harmony of Scripture and proceeding from its center – Jesus Christ. The most appropriate methodological procedure for such an interpretation is the so-called canonical exegesis, which reads an individual Biblical text in the light of the whole of the Old and New Testaments. Sacred tradition, the analogy of faith and typological interpretations play an important role. This also opens the perspective for understanding the concordance of Marian dogmas with God’s revelation. Therefore, the Scriptures reveal the layers of biblical tradition that are the stronghold of Mariology and Marian dogmas, namely the Old Testament theology of the woman and the theology of the people of God. All the essential elements of these realities are embodied in Mary. That is why in Mary Israel, but also the Church exist as a person, which is the fundamental biblical-Mariological thesis of J. Ratzinger.

Objekt su ovoga rada četiri marijanske dogme pod vidom njihove zastupljenosti u hrvatskom pjesništvu. Osim u klasičnim lirskim pjesmama, one se pojavljuju i u drugim različitim poetskim vrstama i oblicima. Cilj rada jest otkriti koje su dogme o Djevici Mariji inspirirale hrvatske pjesnike, odnosno koje su ih više, a koje manje poetski nadahnjivale. U radu su najprije prikazani osnovni sadržaji marijanskih dogmi Crkve: o Mariji Bogorodici, zauvijek djevici, o bezgrješno začetoj i uznesenoj dušom i tijelom na nebo. Središnji dijelovi rada posvećeni su interpretaciji izabranih pjesama hrvatskih pjesnika inspiriranih pojedinom marijanskom dogmom, koje su tematsko-motivski usko vezane uz tu dogmu. U interpretaciji pjesama prožimaju se književnoteorijska i teološka analiza. Marijanska pjesma prenošena je u početku kroz pučku pobožnost da bi se kasnije počela razvijati u smjeru tradicionalno-pučkoga stvaralaštva i u literarno-umjetničkom smjeru. Istraživanje potvrđuje da su mariološki sadržaji trajno zastupljeni u općem hrvatskom pjesništvu. Gledajući četiri marijanske dogme, postaje razvidno da je najviše zastupljena dogma o Mariji Bogorodici, a najmanje dogma o njezinu uznesenju dušom i tijelom na nebo. The subject of the thesis are four Marian dogmas in the light of their representation in Croatian poetry. Apart from appearing in classical lyrical poems, they are also found in other different poetic types and forms. The aim of the thesis is to discover which Marian dogmas inspired Croatian poets, in other words, which of them were more and which were less poetically inspiring. The thesis primarily presents basic contents of Marian church dogmas: on Mary Mother of God, perpetual virgin, immaculately conceived and assumed body and soul into heaven. The central parts of the thesis are dedicated to the interpretation of selected poems by Croatian poets inspired by different Marian dogmas, closely linked to the dogma by the topic and motif. The interpretation of poems permeates literary theory and theological analysis. At the beginning, Marian poems were transmitted via folk piety, and later on started developing in the direction of traditional-folk and literary-artistic creation. The research verifies the fact that mariological contents are permanently represented in general Croatian poetry. Observing four Marian dogmas, it is apparent that dogma of Mary Mother of God is the most common, and the least common one is the dogma of her Soul and Body Assumption into Heaven.

Premda je moderna dogmatska teologija ukazala na važnost mariologije za poimanje kršćanske vjere, ne možemo se oteti dojmu da je mariologija još uvijek bez velikoga značenja, ako ne i potpuno beznačajna za današnju teologiju i duhovnost. Usudili bismo se reći da se mariologija nalazi u svojevrsnomu teološkom egzilu. Stoga se ovim člankom kani povratiti mariologiju iz teološkoga egzila, vratiti je ponovno u teologiju. To se želi postići analizom marioloških promišljanja dvojice najvećih katoličkih teologa prošloga stoljeća: Hansa Ursa von Balthasara i Karla Rahnera. Analizirajući njihova razmatranja o Blaženoj Djevici Mariji, pokušat ćemo pokazati koliki se teološki potencijal krije u mariologiji. Unatoč određenim razlikama, i Balthasar i Rahner mišljenja su kako nam mariologija omogućuje razumijevanje kršćanstva te nam pruža jasniji uvid u temeljne dogme i pojedine vidove kršćanske vjere, kao što su kristologija i ekleziologija. Prikaz Balthasarove i Rahnerove mariologije također je najbolji dokaz da bez mariologije teologija i duhovnost olako gube svoje središte, odnosno često se događa sljedeće: zapostavljanje povijesno-spasenjske dimenzije vjere, relativiziranje božanstva Isusa Krista, zaborav ekleziologije ili pogrješno poimanje Crkve, racionalizam u teologiji i pastoralu i dr. Mariologija Hansa Ursa von Balthasara i Karla Rahnera također rasvjetljava i druge teološke teme, primjerice narav i ulogu žene u Crkvi i u društvu, značenje čovjekove slobode i njezina odnosa prema Bogu. Vidjet ćemo kako mariologija i za te teme može biti teološki plodno tlo. U završnom osvrtu pozabavit ćemo se ukratko stanjem mariologije u kontekstu današnje Crkve i teologije., Even though modern dogmatic theology points out the significance of Mariology for the understanding of Christian faith we cannot but wonder that the notion of Mariology still does not carry any great significance to present theology and spirituality although it is not totally meaningless. We might dare say that Mariology exists in some form of theological exile. This article therefore intends to bring Mariology out of its theological exile and reinstate it in theology. The article attempts to do so with an analysis of Mariological thought of two great Catholic theologians from the past century: Hans Urs von Balthasar and Karl Rahner. Analysing their thinking about the Blessed Virgin Mary, the article endeavours to show just how much theological potential lies in Mariology. Despite some differences both Balthasar and Rahner's thinking is that Mariology allows us to comprehend Christianity and offers us a clearer insight into some fundamental dogma about certain perspectives of Christian faith such as Christology and Ecclesiology. A presentation of Balthasar and Rahner's Mariology is the best proof that without Mariology, theology and spirituality easily lose their focus or often gives way to the following: neglect of the historical-salvational dimension of faith, relativity of the divinity of Jesus Christ; neglect of Ecclesiology and an incorrect comprehension of the Church; rationalisation of theology and pastorale and so on. Hans Urs von Balthasar and Karl Rahner's Mariology highlights other theological topics, e.g. the nature and role of women in the Church and society; the meaning of man's freedom and its relationship to God. The article shows us how Mariology can be theologically fruitful ground for these topics. In conclusion the article deals with the current status of Mariology in the context of today's Church and theology.
