The right use of technology can enhance the improvement of operational processes. However, the success rate of the use of this technology is inseparable from the competence of information technology. Therefore, the company should facilitate information technology competency improvement. A challenging question is whether the managers of service, manufacturing, and retail industry must focus on the same information technology competency, or they should focus on difference ones, considering the industry’s uniqueness. This study uses a survey method. The data obtained were 448 respondents and then processed using ANOVA and cross tabulation. The results showed that there were significant differences in those three components of information technology competency between manufacturing and retail-service. This is due to differences in market development strategy, such as companies needing new branches to reach new markets or companies labor intensive or not.

Статья посвящена вопросам оценки степени сформированности информационнотехнологических компетенций у студентов бакалавров по направлению подготовки 44.03.05 Педагогическое образование (с двумя профилями подготовки), направленность: «Математика и Информатика» в процессе освоения дисциплины «Практикум по решению задач по информатике», а также особенностям разработки модели их оценивания. Произведен теоретический анализ различных подходов к определению понятий «компетентность», «компетенция». Описаны структурные компоненты информационнотехнологических компетенций, выявлена и обоснована необходимость оценки степени сформированности информационно-технологических компетенций у студентов бакалавров. Предложена модель оценки степени сформированности информационно-технологических компетенций у студентов бакалавров на примере одной из тем дисциплины «Практикум по решению задач по информатике»., The article is devoted to the assessment of the degree of formation of information technology competencies among bachelor students in the field of training 44.03.05 Pedagogical education (with two training profiles), focus: «Mathematics and Computer Science» in the process of mastering the discipline «Workshop on solving problems in computer science», as well as the features of developing a model for their assessment. The theoretical analysis of various approaches to the definition of the concepts of «competence», «competence» is carried out. The structural components of information technology competencies are described, the necessity of assessing the degree of formation of information technology competencies among bachelor students is identified and justified. There is a growing emphasis on the use of technology in education. For students to effectively participate in technology assisted learning, they need to be computer literate. Internet self-efficacy is a potential indicator of computer literacy. This research study discusses the factors affecting secondary school students’ Internet self-efficacy, made up of general self-efficacy and communicative selfefficacy. The data used in this study is a part of a larger data set of a research project funded between 2008 and 2010. A total of 609 secondary school students from ten different schools participated in the study. A MANCOVA was run to investigate students’ Internet self-efficacy scores based on several student-related factors. The results revealed that students were highly confident in their Internet self-efficacy. Daily computer use and weekly email use, in addition to having Internet connection at home, were found to be significantly predicting students’ Internet self-efficacy scores. The independent variables varied in terms of which dependent variables they affect. Student grade level and gender interestingly did not have any impact on the results. As the technology integrations are becoming more apparent in Turkish public schools thorough large-scale projects like FATİH, the findings of this study will be of the essence to understand the average student profiles in terms of the confidence with the technology. Teknoloji yardımıyla öğrenme faaliyetlerine etkili bir şekilde katılabilmeleri için öğrencilerin bilgisayar konusunda bilgili olmaları gerekiyor. Internet öz-yeterliği, bilgisayar uzmanlığının potansiyel bir göstergesidir. Bu çalışmada ilköğretim öğrencilerinin genel ve iletişim öz-yeterliklerinden oluşan İnternet öz-yeterliklerini etkileyen faktörler araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan veriler 2008-2010 yılları arasında desteklenen bir araştırma projesinin parçasıdır. Araştırmaya on değişik ilköğretim okulundan 609 öğrenci katılmıştır. Birçok öğrenci ile ilgili faktöre bağlı olarak öğrencilerin İnternet özyeterliklerini araştırmak için MANCOVA analizinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar öğrencilerin İnternet öz-yeterliklerinin oldukça yüksek olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Öğrencilerin İnternet öz-yeterliğini etkileyen faktörler olarak günlük bilgisayar kullanımı, haftalık e-posta kullanımı ve evde İnternet bağlantısı olması öne çıkmıştır. Öğrencilerin sınıf düzeyi ve cinsiyetin İnternet öz-yeterliği üzerine etkisi bulunamamıştır. Günümüzde FATİH projesi gibi geniş kapsamlı projeler yardımıyla teknoloji entegrasyonu Türk milli eğitiminde daha da ön plana çıkarken, bu çalışmanın sonuçları öğrencilerin teknoloji konusundaki güvenlerini anlayarak hareket etmek açısından faydalı olacaktır.

Because of the dynamic and rapid development of digital technologies, teachers are facing more than ever challenging issues related to coping with educational innovations. This situation has become ultimately evident under COVID-19 quarantine and the necessity to work remotely. Such requirements induce extra pressure on teachers, which causes excessive stress, often leading to emotional and professional burnout. In our paper, we aim to focus on the types of impact (positive or negative) of digital technologies in relation to foreign language teachers’ age and experience and the level of professional burnout. Specific emphasis is put on the study of coronavirus-related remote learning mode circumstances. To reach the research goal, a mixed method was used, engaging 140 English language teachers from 18 Polish schools, Silesia region, with a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview as the tools used in the quantitative and qualitative stages of the study. The research findings show that even though teachers are ready to integrate technologies in the classroom, they are vulnerable to technical problems which often occur during the lessons, causing the feeling of disappointment, frustration, anxiety, and lowering the efficiency of teachers’ professional performance. The implications of the study suggest that the professional support for teachers in technology use, better working conditions, and equipping language classrooms with good quality digital devices should serve as the best remedy against teacher burnout.
