Globalni gradovi postaju sve uticajniji akteri međunarodnih odnosa u XXI veku.

SOCIAL groups , *SOCIAL mobility , *MULTICULTURALISM , *ETHNOCENTRISM , *HUMANISM - Abstract
In the world today, under the banner of "multiculturalism is dead", a new specter of ethnocentrism is being cycled. Its protagonists are the old and the new right and the autocratic elites who would like to divide and fight the world anew. Despite these processes, modern humanity needs a new opening, respect for cultural differences, a dialogue between and permeation of cultures, building of new bridges, connecting peoples. The new generation should be imbued with the culture of peace and planetary humanism, and as the citizens of humanity, emerging communities of equal peoples and citizens, they should represent an actor of the inevitability of interculturality in the modern world of globalization, i.e. of the future that has begun -- but is now, due to class and other divisions, unfairly distributed. Shouting that multiculturalism is dead is like announcing the death of humanity, its regression to the times of tribalism, new divisions and barbarism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In the paper, we sociologically thematize the phenomena of cultural contact, contact areas and (trans)cultural identity through the prism of metatheoretical positions of social sciences that problematize them in different ways. The frame of reference is a sociological analysis of interrelationships, interconnections as well as conditioning of acculturation, transacculturation and (trans)cultural identity, and their temporal reflection in sociocultural reality. As a kind of social complex, the mentioned cultural triptych has a discursive interpretation tradition which, to some extent, is opposed by posterior interpretations whose starting points are found in modern scientific discourses. Therefore, primarily due to the transparency of the scientific text, we have included in the sublogical framework a theoretical analysis of the main components of the concept from which the indicated processes derive, namely culture. Namely, social synchronicity and potential, and the dialectic unity of these components are the priority goal of acculturation and transacculturation, and later the means by which these processes are realized in a certain sociocultural space, forming new identities. Through the application of the static-dynamic backbone of culture, we had to touch on mega-processes such as modernization, globalization, postmodernization in the sense of the colloquial and linguistic extinction of some of them, and the direction of science towards "theoretical neologism" and "scientific intermezzo" that describe the current state society in totality, and which finds its origins in history, that is, in already existing thought concepts. Avtorja v članku na podlagi kvantitativnih in kvalitativnih metod analizirata pojavnost slovenske in tuje glasbe v slovenskih radijskih in televizijskih medijih.

The process of globalization in the banking sector has been an integral part of international economic and financial relations over the last few decades and has been growing rapidly ever since. Globalization offers opportunities for various integration processes in the regions, one of which is the consolidation process. Mergers and acquisitions banking is one of the means for banks to consolidate their processes, to manage their resources more efficiently, to gain a more competitive advantage and increase their profits by entering foreign capital markets. The ongoing consolidation processes in the banking sector are affecting economic growth and stability, and with the constant changes of the global economic climate, the banking sector is adapting, hence it is important to assess the factors behind the consolidation process and identify further developments in bank consolidation. In the article the following tasks were to be accomplished: 1) based on the analysis of the scientific literature, to identify the factors and reasons that promote the consolidation process, the execution of mergers and acquisitions in a global environment; 2) to perform a comparative analysis of the ratio of the share price and the value of tangible assets of banks of different regions engaged in mergers and acquisitions; 3) after evaluating the results of the comparative analysis, indicate further directions for mergers and acquisitions in different regions. After accomplishing the specified tasks, the most important factors were identified, which were attributed to internal and external motives, and the possibilities for consolidation processes in the banking regions were presented. The article Sanctity and universal fraternity. Hagiological aspect of the encyclical Fratelli tutti is a theological study of the anthropological foundations for the social question. The teaching of Pope Francis aims to explain the dependence of the social order on the implementation of the Gospel concept of humanism. The Pope notices the correlation between ecology and holiness, pointing to them as the foundations for the organization of the human family, national and political communities. Francis gives the principles of a human ethos, which guarantees the respect and dignity of every human person and supports families and nations in their service to the human person and society. In the article, the author asks the following questions: How does Pope Francis perceive sanctity in the context of progressing globalization? And then: What is, according to the Pope's teaching on the sanctity, the place of theology research among the scientific disciplines facing the challenges of innovation? The author formulates the answer after explaining the papal project of community, sanctity as a foundation of community, the phenomenon of globalization and the role of Christians in the face of globalization. It also explains the papal concept of theology for innovation. The conclusions clearly indicate the value of Christian humanism as humanism of the highest anthropological order. Such a humanism is based on evangelical assumptions in which the sacrum is the foundation of the harmony between all elements of the world. From this assumption arises the imperative of interdisciplinary research into the phenomenon of sacredness, out of concern for the well-being of human beings, families, societies and the whole of creation. The subject of research and the purpose of this paper is to determine the effects of globalization on identity change within one of the most popular sports today, football. In order to avoid generalizations in the analysis, the English Premiership, one of the most famous football leagues, was chosen as a case study. The theoretical framework of the research is related to the identification of local changes under the influence of the global process, predominantly social and political. The time of the research covers the period from the creation of the Premiership, i.e. from 1992 until today. The research on selected globalization influences on the League's development will try to clarify social changes resulting from the interaction of two main geographical segments - space and people. With the help of selected economic and financial indicators, the change of the local identity of the League, which was present in the past, into an increasingly pronounced global identity will be presented. In conclusion, it was found that the mentioned football league is an excellent example of the growing impact of the globalization process on sports, especially when it comes to world-famous football. - Abstract
Pandemija nije položila test zrelosti čovečanstva, iako je tehnologija odgovorila izumom i primenom novih vakcina, brzinom i efikasnošću bez istorijskih i tehnoloških presedana. Posledice infekcije traju. Nova upozorenja su da se neki od pacijenata nikada neće oporaviti, pojavljuju se i novi sojevi s posledicama koje su neizvesne., Long COVID-19 leaves temporary or permanent damage after infection. In a historical framework, long COVID-19 belongs to a process of decadence caused by the pandemic that could have been predicted and prevented in advance after several similar previous cycles of infection arising from similar origins. Contemporary pandemics follow the trends of global exchange after the PRC entry into the World Trade Organization in 2001. Life on the planet was almost stopped, or seriously disrupted, especially in areas of intense social and economic exchange. However, new challenges that followed, particularly the second Russian agression on Ukraine in 2022, suppressed the general interest in the pandemic. Vaccination campaigns, possibly also anti-vaccine activities, have been suspended. The pandemic did not pass humanity’s test of maturity, although technology responded by inventing new vaccines at an unprecedented speed. Consequences of infection last. New warnings are that some of the patients will never recover.

- Abstract
The world in which we live today is in many ways different from the one in which it was lived just a few decades ago. Under the shade of unsafe and uncertain future, the essential topics are dark scenarios and the questions of survival. In the environment like that, not only do the massive and cruel economically and existentially motivated migrations happen, but also the frequent exile for different reasons, which becomes a lifestyle. This work explores the position of Bekim Sejranović in comparison with the dominantly globalist concept of nomadism as a cultural obsession with transformation. In his case, nomadism presents the aspect of the search for oneself and the resistance to permanent place of residence, entrenched social practices, and totalitarian authorities, as well as the ultimate attempt to live freely and at full speed. That kind of idea is also conveyed throughout the novel by Bekim Sejranović titled Nowhere, From Nowhere (2009), as well as in his other work. Nomadism and exile become not only the narrator's destiny, but also his worldview and kind of a pursuit for some lost or feigned world. Inseparable from this is, surely, the question of identity which is often fluid or emptied from the content in this era, that it is almost impossible to define it today. The constant redefining of identity and the search for oneself are exactly what is portrayed in this novel by Sejranović. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Globalization and transition are two processes that have the same goal and that goal is to change the current or existing state. Globalization is change on a global scale while the transition is taking place within one or more countries. Globalization has made the world different. From the first economists Adam Smith and David Ricardo to today's economic theorists, the basis of social change, especially at the global level, is a change in the sphere of economy and in the economic structure of both the developed and the developing countries. Economic changes condition both the social as well as the political changes. These changes do not come one without the other. The common basis and desire of the agents of change is to achieve them in accordance with the set goals and achievements that are desirable for its protagonists. However, changes often take place against the will and expectations of its protagonists and actors. The consequences are often unpredictable although controlled and programmed. The programmed changes are part of the globalization strategy whose actors are developed countries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In this paper, I present an analysis of modern society, which under the influence of indicators of modernization and globalization produces risks that affect people globally with increasing uncertainty and uncertainty. Starting from Beck’s ideas, the conceptual understanding of risk is pointed out, including the concept of contemporary world events related to the emergence of COVID-19. The historical aspects of the modernization of aid to science and technological innovation and the role of capitalism, which has its foundations in this for the purpose of maximizing profits and increasing risk, are pointed out. I explain the triangulation of the terms globality, globalism and globalization and their connection with neoliberal ideology. Te wants to show how such processes have made it difficult to control and respond to COVID-19. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In this paper, it is argued that symbolic interactionism and hermeneutics are possible strategies for the sociological determination of culture in the context of contemporary transformations of "cultural identities". The paper is based on the assumption that contemporary reflections on the sociological question of culture, due to the overemphasis of empirical research, have lost sight of some classic theoretical starting points that can be an important resource in determination and a better understanding of the general spiritual crisis of the modern world. With this idea in mind, the paper tries to accentuate two theoretical paradigms in the domains of their classical interpretation with the possibility of "strategic adjustment" of certain conceptual frameworks aimed at problematizing cultural reality on the "glocal" level. The paper in its various aspects is critical of the "Balkan" understanding of culture in the 21st century. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MAP projection , *GEOSPATIAL data , *SUSTAINABLE development , *GEODESICS - Abstract
The globalization of geospatial data and geodetic reference frames is important for the overall development of both national and global economies. In accordance with the needs for defining a general geodetic reference frame, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the resolution "Global Geodetic Reference Frame for Sustainable Development (GGRF)" in 2015. The European Union member states have addressed the issue by adopting joint directives, recommendations and other acts to adapt national laws. Bosnia and Herzegovina and its neighboring countries, non-EU member states, have enacted appropriate legislation and decisions to adapt to the globalization of spatial data and reference frames. Therefore, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs (FGU) has undertaken certain activities in order to establish a new geodetic reference frame through changes in legislation, renewal and establishment of new reference systems and measurements. The paper will discuss the existing geodetic reference frame and the activities of the FGU on the introduction of new geodetic datums and map projections in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH). - Abstract
