- Abstract
INTRODUCTION: In the last twenty-five years, various questionnaires have been developed to study eating disorders in pediatrics, useful for research purposes, but not very applicable in the daily pediatric clinic, as they require a long time to complete them. OBJECTIVE: Determine the validity and reliability of the Montreal Children's Hospital Feeding Scale (MCH-FS) to be able to use this scale in Mexican children from 6 months to 6 years and 11 months. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The sample was non-probabilistic consisting of 245 infants with an age range of 6 months to 6 years of age, from Mexico City and the metropolitan area. Two groups were formed: clinical and control that came from different institutions: 1) private health n=65 cases, 2) public assistance institution n=59 cases, 3) Cleft lip and palate clinic n=43 cases, 4) autism Clinic n=12 cases and 5) Private School n= 66 cases. The primary family member answered each question in the questionnaire according to the kind of eating behavior. RESULTS: An adequate internal consistency of the instrument was observed, and the exploratory factorial analysis showed two factors: 1) Parental strategies and 2) eating problems presenting a good adjustment of the data. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrates that MCH-FS is a useful tool to detect feeding disorders in Mexican children [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Water quality varies along the stream network; thus, considering the directional, dendritic nature of stream networks with surrounding landscape variables is essential in explaining spatial variations of water quality. Using a spatially extensive stream temperature monitoring effort in the Clackamas River Basin in the United States, we first compare spatial scales of analysis of atmospheric, landscape, and in-stream explanatory variables through their correlation with summer stream temperatures. We then derive a predictive stream temperature model with factors representing the spatial variation of local climate, recent wildfire effects, and discharge. Finally, we compare nonspatial multiple linear regression to a spatial stream network (SSN) model to assess the combined importance of the spatial scale of analysis and flow-connected stream distance in explaining total variation in stream temperatures. Most explanatory variables show the most highly significant relationships to stream temperature when derived as a percentage of the total upstream area above observation sites. Elevation and vegetation cover, however, were most significantly correlated to stream temperature at the riparian buffer area scale and the local reach contributing area scale, respectively. Multiple regression analysis using total upstream burned area, total upstream area with underlying High Cascades geology, and the elevation within the 100-m-wide riparian area explained 81 percent of variation in stream temperature. SSN outperformed this nonspatial statistical model, however, in explaining the total variation in stream temperature. These comparisons of scaled data sets demonstrate both the local and cumulative upstream effects on stream temperature, providing a spatial network-informed framework to those prioritizing watershed restoration and wildfire recovery activities. Abstract Architectural Design teaching program at the School of Architecture of the European University of the Canary Islands is integrated from the 2nd to the 6th year and is structured through a progressive methodology that approaches the teaching of architectural design from a comprehensive perspective. Throughout the courses, students explore various architectural scales and typologies, starting with small-scale projects in the second year, such as mountain refuges and single-family homes, up to complex urban interventions and institutional buildings in the sixth year. This progression allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of the discipline, adapting to different urban contexts and architectural programs. Our pedagogical approach is based on four fundamental conditions: scale, programmatic complexity, urban intensity, and technology. Students develop projects that integrate these aspects, addressing the relationship between architectural design and urban planning regulations. The use of advanced digital tools and sustainable techniques is promoted, which strengthens their competencies to face professional challenges. The result is a solid preparation that ensures students deeply understand the interaction between architecture, environment, and society. The methodology, successfully applied during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years, has significantly improved students' perception of their personal confidence and the evaluation of final projects. This demonstrates that graduates are well-equipped to perform effectively in the professional field, managing projects of various scales and complexities with pre-professional confidence.

The growing interest in applying gamified designs in higher education is challenged by mixed results in terms of student acceptance. Different players are attracted to games for different reasons and game design elements, and a better understanding of how each learner will connect to different game mechanics provides valuable input for game design and evaluation. In this paper, we present and validate a scale to measure the affinity of each player with different game elements. First, a theoretical review was carried out on three profile classifications and six motivational theoretical models, proposing a taxonomy for twelve player profiles based on three axes: relational, competence and motivational. Then, a pilot test was carried out with 54 subjects, analysing content and comprehension validity through the judgment of six experts and construct validity through an exploratory factorial analysis. Subsequently, with a sample of 1010 subjects, a confirmatory factor analysis was performed. The scale was made up of 30 items, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.822; three main components were obtained: dominators, interactors and trackers. The results show the validity of the scale, with high levels of confidence. It provides an understanding of the player's profile in a playful context, their motivational orientation and their affinity with the specific game design. This can be used to improve the design of gamified experiences in higher education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CARTOGRAPHY , *GEOGRAPHY , *CULTURAL hegemony , *PUBLIC spaces ,PEOPLE'S Park (Berkeley, Calif.) - Abstract
Following calls to spatialize conjunctures, this article proposes and practices conjunctural mapping through a case study of the ongoing struggle at People's Park in Berkeley, California. Although the method of conjunctural analysis enables and requires an investigation into the multiple forces at work in the production of hegemony, such analyses tend to focus on cultural, economic, political, and social (or horizontal) dimensions of winning or contesting consent, without necessarily locating the formations of these expressions at different (vertical) scales. What is the role of the geographical in producing and countering hegemony, and how do we consider questions of scale in a conjunctural analysis? We offer an example through a conjunctural mapping of People's Park, where the University of California, Berkeley, and park defenders address pressures and seize opportunities at the scales of the subject, city, and state to respectively redevelop or protect the park. Mapping their multiple geographies reveals how the neoliberal crisis (in higher education, affordable housing, and public space) takes place and requires work at each scale in the struggle for hegemonic settlement. Spiraling outward and upward, cases like People's Park show that conjunctures are best analyzed through consideration of local complexities and scale articulations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study developed and tested the validity of a scale that measures skills for managing work from home, such as: informing change, searching for information, establishing priorities, setting and adapting goals, assessing work outputs, distributing tasks, and offering feedback. Participants were 2,038 managers from three Brazilian public organizations. Exploratory, confirmatory, and multigroup factor analyses revealed an 8-item unidimensional structure, excellent reliability indices, and goodness of fit, besides invariance for gender and age groups. The short scale permits testing research models with multiple variables, comparative (voluntary vs. compulsory telework), and cross-cultural studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development of the community of Yajalón, Chiapas, is evaluated between two possible orientations, either towards an non-sustainable development model, or towards a sustainable one that balances human wellbeing and social benefit with the use of resources and productive practices committed to environmental protection that preserves resources for future generations. The evaluation considered the use of indicators and hierarchical levels, applying the General Sustainability Index to obtain the results, which indicate that the IGS of the community is oriented towards unsustainable development at a unstable level, concluding that the system does not have the opportunity to recover and even less to preserve it for the future. Brand authenticity is important to customers, as they prefer genuine and real products, and further research is needed to shed light on what underlies perceptions of authenticity and what may influence them in order to better theorise and operationalise authenticity in the field of marketing. Since authenticity was not found to be unidimensional, multidimensional scales were structured to explain brand authenticity, resulting in the 3-dimensional approach, which corresponds to the CBBA (Consumer-Based Brand Authenticity) scale in its improved form, which is the most appropriate for the beer product, since it has been used in studies related to the food and beverage industry, in addition to being used in Mexico. Nevertheless, the CBBA is not the only model that has been used, according to the literature review, three theoretical perspectives are used, in this case the subjective one is the most widely accepted among the models tested, as is the case of the CBBA. Therefore, the first purpose is to validate the authenticity factors that make up the CBBA (Consumer-Based Brand Authenticity) scale in three different brand beers: Tecate, Corona, and XX, and the second purpose is to explore consumers' perception of authenticity, through a longitudinal study applying a questionnaire in the northeast of Mexico (Victoria City, Tamaulipas) in two periods of time, being a non-experimental and descriptive investigation. The questionnaire was composed on 21 items, including nine questions for the quality commitment dimension, seven questions for the legacy dimension and five questions corresponding to the honesty dimension. It was applied with 5-point Likert scale. In order to answer both objectives, statistical analyses were carried out using SPSS software version 21 and R studio software version 1.3.1093 through several stages: First, an Exploratory Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was calculated, and at the same time the KMO (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin), Bartlett's sphericity test, Sperman's rho and Cronbach's alpha were calculated. Then an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was calculated. After the factor analyses, MIRT (Multidimensional Item Response Theory) was calculated and finally we used the Mann-Whitney U test, in two independent samples (174 people for each sample), which corresponds to a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 348 young consumers in total. The results indicate that the CBBA scale could be validated in two of its factors: quality commitment and inheritance, unlike previous research that considered three factors as quality commitment, sincerity and inheritance. Regarding the second objective, it was shown that for Mexican consumers, the authenticity of beer is perceived in terms of quality and the relationship between the brand and its history (heritage). The original contribution lies in the application of MIRT and the longitudinal scope of the study, while the results show that the exploratory factor analyses and the Mann-Whitney U test were consistent, but the application of MIRT was not favourable. The implications of the research include the construction of a scale to support the assessment, planning, understanding and testing of product authenticity and the analysis of its impact on the consumer. In addition to considering a prior diagnosis of the company in relation to the authenticity of the brand and its products. However, more attention should be paid to the variable of sincerity. As for future lines of research, more longitudinal studies should be conducted in Mexico and Latin America, since the responses per item of the scale tested were not consistent, in addition to considering different industries and cultures to continue testing the scale. analysed. Finally, the study is limited to one area and one product, the brands Tecate, Corona and XX, so it is necessary to continue the research in different industries and cultures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SELF , *PROFESSIONAL identity , *BEGINNING teachers , *STUDENT teacher attitudes , *MASLACH Burnout Inventory - Abstract
The teacher professional identity is a construct that has gained the interest of numerous researchers in the field of teacher training, due to the abundant empirical evidence of its impact on job satisfaction and motivation, engagement, professional self-efficacy and decision-making in the educational practices of teachers. It is defined as a complex construction process that integrates personal identity and regulates the actions of teachers, acting as a basis for interpreting what teaching and learning is, guiding teaching action and organizing it for educational improvement. Despite the relevance of the teacher professional identity, the construction of this identity in preservice teacher and beginning teachers has not been empirically addressed sufficiently and exhaustively, a situation that is accentuated in the Latin American context. In Latin America, empirical studies on teacher professional identity have less development and along with this, quantitative studies aimed at measuring this construct are less, and to date there is no instrument in Chile that allows for adequate measurement of teacher professional identity. An instrument especially indicated to measure the teacher professional identity in preservice teacher is the Student Teacher Professional Identity Scale, an instrument that measures the teacher professional identity in preservice teacher considering the confidence in the professional choice, the sense of self-realization and the visualization of the profession as a mission and challenge. The Student Teacher Professional Identity Scale was developed and validated by Fisherman and Abbot in a sample of Israeli preservice teacher. It is a unifactorial and self-report scale, whose theoretical assumptions about teacher professional identity consider this construct as the attitudes of students to be teachers, the degree of identification with the role of teacher, confidence in professional choice, the sense of self-realization as teachers and the extent to which they see their profession as a mission and a challenge. The scale is based on 12 items and a Likert response alternative from 1 to 5. The objective of this study is to adapt and validate the Student Teacher Professional Identity Scale, in Chilean pre service teacher. Under a quantitative methodology, an instrumental study and a non-experimental cross-sectional design, a non-probabilistic and purposive non-proportional quota sampling of 663 students from 9 pedagogy majors at three Chilean universities was used. The Student Teacher Professional Identity Scale was translated into Spanish and culturally adapted. This instrument was applied together with the Professional Identity Scale and the Maslach Burnout Inventory Student Survey, for convergent and divergent validity, respectively. Scale reliability and construct validity were analyzed, based on convergent and divergent validity analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The results show that the scale presents adequate reliability (ω = .863), a positive and strong correlation with the Professional Identity Scale scores (r = .638) and a negative and moderate correlation with the Maslach Burnout Inventory Student (r = -.33) and correlation between moderate and null in all its dimensions (Efficacy factor r = -.419; Exhaustion factor r = -.083; Cynicism factor r = -.388), obtaining adequate convergent and divergent validity. Regarding the confirmatory factor analysis, based on Maximum Likelihood and Bootstrap, the original unifactorial model of the scale composed of 12 was the one that presented the best fit indicators (df = 53; χ² = 270.64; p = .000; GFI = .931, RMR = .039, IFI = .933, TLI = .903, CFI = .922, RMSEA = .079, AGFI = .899). In conclusion, a scale for measuring professional teaching identity in pre service teacher was obtained, adapted and validated for the Chilean context, with adequate psychometric characteristics. In the discussion, the results are analyzed in the light of the existing literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The digital mindset can be defined as a set of individual behaviors related to the degree of adherence to digital transformations. After reviewing the literature on the subject, this research's objective was to answer the following question: "Is it possible to measure the digital mindset of employees through a scale designed for the context of Brazilian organizations?". Originality/value: The digitization of organizations has become the center of business transformation. However, one of the often-overlooked factors in the transition process is developed at the micro-organizational level. Collaborators vary in interest, knowledge, and ability to innovate. A measure to identify individual digital mindset profiles would be essential to guide the planning and development of a digital learning culture mindset. Still, such a tool was not yet found in the Brazilian literature. Design/methodology/approach: A multidimensional digital mindset construct was proposed based on the literature on cognitive structures and digital transformation mindset. Items were prepared to measure the degree of maturity of the construct, described through three digital profiles (open mind, transformer, and entrepreneur) and an analog profile. The scale was submitted to 574 professionals from Brazilian companies for exploratory factor analysis. Findings: The digital mindset scale showed signs of validity, confirming, in the present sample, the mindset dimensions related to the digital environment (Cronbach's alphas between 0.85 and 0.62). Adolescence is traditionally understood as a developmental stage that challenges family dynamics and coexistence. At present, such challenges may be heightened due to current social and technological challenges. Effective assessment of parental competences for addressing such challenges is desirable to support, were needed, the introduction of further intervention measures, such as parenting programs. The aim of the present study was to validate the Emotional and Social Parenting Competence Scale for Parents of Adolescents (ECOPES-A), given the importance of having up-to-date instruments available to address this issue. A random sample of 1,422 Spanish parents of teenagers participated in the present study. Exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analyses (CFA) were performed following a cross-validation process. Multi-group confirmatory factor analysis (MGCFA) was applied to test the model's factorial invariance as a function of the sex of parents. Twelve items explaining 46.26% of the variance were selected. Items were distributed according to four factors, namely, F1-Self-Regulation, F2- Assertiveness and self-esteem in the parenting role, F3--Power assertion for conflict resolution, and F4--Promotion of child's selfesteem through assertive communication. Adequate reliability was determined for all factors and for the overall scale. The model presented good fit, regardless of the sex of the parent respondent, and MGCFA revealed strict factorial invariance suggesting that the tool is appropriate for both fathers and mothers. The scale may be useful for identifying parental support needs and for evaluating evidence-based parenting programs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SUSTAINABILITY , *SUSTAINABLE development , *SUSTAINABLE construction , *FACTOR analysis , *CHANGE agents - Abstract
Objective: The objective of the study is to propose an instrument to evaluate the Competencies for Sustainability in Organizations. Originality/Value: The importance of sustainability is clearly evidenced in the proposition of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The skills for sustainability portray the commitment to sustainability. Understanding and effectively evaluating this set of skills is important to face the problems of society and the planet in terms of the environment, economy, and culture, among others, through conscious and sustainable decision making. For there to be a more sustainable world, it is necessary to understand that all obligors are agents of change endowed with skills that drive them to act and to change. What are the competencies needed for sustainability? By making available an instrument that aims to identify competencies that promote sustainability, it is intended to expand the scientific discussion on relevant issues that can influence society and help in the construction of a more sustainable future. Design/methodology/approach: The items were compiled on the instrument based on the literature. After analyzing the content of the items, analyzing the specialists, semantic analysis, and pretesting the preliminary version of the instrument was applied to a sample of 509 respondents. Results: A factor analysis was carried out that revealed two factors: strategic planning for sustainability and valuing sustainability. Together, the two factors explained 61.15% of the total variance of the construct. The 10 items have constitutive and operational consistency, and the results demonstrated the construct's validity with good reliability indexes, good factorial load, and good model adjustment indexes. Introduction: eating habits are one of the main predictors of health within a person lifestyle. The assessment of these habits will be essential to confirm health-related habits and orientate behaviors of risk for health. Objectives: to assess the eating habits within the health-related lifestyle among Spanish adults from 22 to 72 years of age. Methods: the Health-Related Lifestyle Assessment Scale (E-VEVSA) was applied to a sample of 788 subjects between the ages of 22 and 72. This scale is made up of 52 items and structured in seven dimensions, among which the healthy eating habit was evaluated, which explained a variance of 8.67 % of the total scale (66.87 %) and a Cronbach's alpha of 0.794 for a total alpha of 0.894. Results: sixteen percent of the adults surveyed have healthy eating habits, 68.3 % tend towards health and 15.7 % are unhealthy. Pearson's χ2 tests show a positive and significant association of women with healthy eating habits and a significant improvement with age. The inferential data (Student's t-tests and one-factor ANOVA) confirm these differences according to gender and age. Conclusions: it is necessary to promote preventive programs to improve eating habits in the adult population, especially in the 15.7 % that have an unhealthy level of nutrition in their lifestyle. Work inclusion of people with disabilities is an emerging issue in organizations from the perspective of rights and corporate social responsibility, it is important to have measuring instruments to evaluate the development of this process. It is intended to determine the psychometric properties of the Scale of Labor Inclusion of People with Disabilities. Under an instrumental design, with a sample of 512 workers, the majority were women (62.9%), the sectors with the highest participation were commercial (28.5%) and services (27.9%). The psychometric qualities of the scale are assessed from exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The results reflect properties adjusted to the instrument with adequate internal consistency. The reliability index of the factors Support and connection was 0.94, Permanence 0.90 and Progress 0.84. A three-factor solution model is obtained, whose goodness of fit was sχ²/df = 2.58, CFI = 0.98, TLI = 0.98, RMSEA = 0.079 (90% CI: 0.062 - 0.096), indicating that it is guaranteed construct validity. According to the exploratory factor analysis, an adequate sample adequacy index is observed. Likewise, the confirmatory factor analysis shows that the relationship model has an adequate level of adjustment. The scale can be applied to populations in similar contexts to identify levels of implementation of labor inclusion practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The phenomenon of disability is multidetermined, and it can be explained in different ways, implying understanding it for different causes. The objective of this research was to identify and analyze how university students position before utterances which treats about different disability conceptions. A total of 1,472 students from courses in the Biological, Exact and Human areas of a public university in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The Scale for Conception of Disability (SCD) was virtually applied. The findings indicate that most respondents are in favor of questions that show social and historical-cultural conceptions to understand the disability. This is considered a positive fact, as the way in which the subject conceives certain knowledge indicates the way of dealing with the object, in this case, in relation to a population segment that is still, frequently, in a situation of social exclusion. Valuing human differences in Higher Education, proposing actions to value differences with future professionals, becomes the outcome of this research, in the promotion of a more egalitarian society. CYBERSTALKING , *PSYCHOLOGY of adults , *PSYCHOMETRICS , *LEGAL costs - Abstract
Intimate partner cyberstalking is associated with significant psychosocial, economic, and legal costs for both victims and perpetrators. However, despite these significant negative outcomes, there is a paucity in instruments designed to measure this behavior. Further, many of the measures lack validation and psychometric exploration. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Intimate Partner Cyberstalking Scale (IPCS; Smoker & March, 2017). For this purpose, 595 adults of both genders (32% male; Mage = 30.08) were recruited in Argentina. Participants completed the IPCS-scale, a measure of internet trolling behavior, Dark Triad Personality scale, questions regarding use of new technologies, and demographic items. Both exploratory factor and confirmatory analyses yielded an adequate two-factor structure of the IPCS - scale (a dimension of indirect-direct cyberstalking and a dimension of indirect behaviors) with adequate internal consistency (Cronbach's alphas were .85 and 89, respectively). McDonald's consistency and composite reliability were satisfactory as well. Concurrent validity was established with measures of trolling and the use of new technologies. Also, it was detected that these variables, along with gender and dark personality, were predictors of cyberstalking. Overall, results of the current project indicate the IPCS-scale is a valid and reliable measure of assessing both direct and indirect intimate partner cyberstalking behavior in Argentina.

Abstract Purpose: The digital mindset can be defined as a set of individual behaviors related to the degree of adherence to digital transformations. Findings: The digital mindset scale showed signs of validity, confirming, in the present sample, the mindset dimensions related to the digital environment (Cronbach’s alphas between 0.85 and 0.62).

Background: The fifth version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) introduced the dissociative subtype of posttraumatic stress disorder (D-PTSD). To assess this subtype, the Dissociative Subtype of PTSD Scale (DSPS), a 15-item self-report measure to identify lifetime and current dissociative symptoms of D-PTSD, was developed. However, so far, the scale has only been validated in war veterans. Moreover, criterion validity and diagnostic utility have not been examined yet. Objective: We aimed to validate the DSPS in two samples of civilian trauma-exposed German-speaking participants. Methods: In Study 1, a pre-registered online study, participants with and without PTSD symptoms (N = 558) answered questionnaires about traumatic experiences, dissociation, PTSD, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, somatic symptom disorder, alcohol use disorder, absorption, and dissociative responding to trauma-related questionnaires. In Study 2, which used secondary data of a pre-registered clinical study, participants with a PTSD diagnosis (N = 71) answered questionnaires about traumatic experiences, dissociation, PTSD, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, somatic symptom disorder, and dissociative responding to standardized trauma exposure. Moreover, PTSD, D-PTSD, and other diagnoses were assessed with structured clinical interviews. Results: Analyses confirmed a three-factor structure as well as high internal consistency, and high convergent, discriminant, and criterion validity of the DSPS. Moreover, the scale was able to identify a latent D-PTSD group and individuals with D-PTSD diagnosis. Conclusions: The DSPS constitutes a reliable and valid tool to assess D-PTSD symptoms in clinical practice and research and thereby may contribute to a better understanding of these debilitating symptoms. Many individuals with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) suffer from dissociative symptoms which can be assessed with the Dissociative Subtype of PTSD Scale (DSPS; Wolf et al., 2017). The DSPS demonstrated good psychometric properties in two German-speaking trauma-exposed samples and hence might be used to assess D-PTSD symptoms in research and clinical practice. Complementing the original English version, a German version of the DSPS is provided in the Supplements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
