The article deals with the features of emotive vocabulary functioning in belles-lettres texts as demonstrated on the example of Stephen Fry's novel "The Hippopotamus" and ways of its rendering in the Ukrainian translation. It is determined that emotive vocabulary in belles-lettres works can perform communicative, expressive and pragmatic functions, which create a psychological portrait of a character, provide an emotional interpretation of the world depicted in the text, reveal the inner emotional world of the author's figure. The authors of the research propose their own classification of emotive vocabulary, which is divided into emotives proper (affectives and connotatives), emotive designators (vocabulary which nominates emotions) and emotive descriptors (vocabulary which describes emotions). The use of emotive vocabulary in Stephen Fry's novel "The Hippopotamus" in the amount of 2093 units has been analised. It is established that the most productive type of emotive vocabulary in the work are emotives proper - 1113 units, of which affectives constitute 552 units, and connotatives constitute 561 units. It is determined that emotives most often express the emotional state of the characters, convey their attitude to other people, objects and phenomena, as well as serve as a speech characteristic of the characters. It is established that the rendering of emotives proper in Ukrainian requires the use of such translation techniques as substitution, omission, modulation, calque, differentiation of meaning, integral transformation, generalization, concretization. Less productive types of emotive vocabulary in “The Hippopotamus” are found to be emotive designators and emotive descriptors (612 and 368 units, respectively), which indicate in the text the way the characters experience their feelings, explain to the reader the reasons for their occurrence, or point to the cause, the result, an indirect sign of emotion, as well as serve as a speech characteristic of the protagonist. It is found that productive techniques for the translation of emotive designators and emotive descriptors are the substitution of parts of speech and members of the sentence, differentiation of meaning, permutation and integral transformation., Стаття присвячена розглядові особливостей функціонування емотивної лексики в художньому тексті на прикладі роману Стівена Фрая “The Hippopotamus” та способів її відображення в українському перекладі. Визначено, що емотивна лексика в художніх творах може виконувати комунікативну, експресивну та прагматичну функції, завдяки яким створюється психологічний портрет персонажа, подається емоційна інтерпретація світу, зображеного в тексті, розкривається внутрішній емоційний світ образу автора. Авторами дослідження запропоновано власну класифікацію емотивної лексики, яку поділено на власне емотиви (афективи та конотативи), емотивні десигнати (лексика, що називає емоції) та емотивні дескриптори (лексика, що описує емоції). Проаналізовано використання емотивної лексики в романі Стівена Фрая “The Hippopotamus”, яку було виявлено в тексті твору у кількості 2093 одиниць. Встановлено, що найпродуктивнішим видом емотивної лексики у творі є власне емотиви – 1113 одиниць, з яких афективи складають 552 одиниці, а конотативи – 561 одиницю. Визначено, що емотиви найчастіше виражають емоційний стан персонажів, передають їх ставлення до оточуючих людей, предметів та явищ, а також слугують у якості мовленнєвої характеристики персонажів. Виявлено, що передача власне емотивів в українському перекладі потребує використання таких перекладацьких прийомів, як заміна, опущення, модуляція, калькування, диференціація значення, цілісне перетворення, генералізація, конкретизація. Встановлено, що менш продуктивними видами емотивної лексики в романі “The Hippopotamus” є емотивні десигнати та емотивні дескриптори (612 та 368 одиниць відповідно), які у тексті вказують на спосіб протікання почуттів персонажів, пояснюють читачеві причини їх виникнення або вказують на причину, результат, непряму ознаку емоції, а також слугують в якості мовленнєвої характеристики протагоніста. Виявлено, що продуктивними прийомами при перекладі емотивних десигнатів та дескрипторів є заміна частин мови та членів речення, диференціація значення, перестановка та цілісне перетворення.

The article shares the results of an analysis of original hagiographic texts from the period between the 18th and 20th centuries from the standpoint of the synchronous-and-diachronic approach as a single array characterized by common cultural meanings conveyed by linguistic units. It demonstrates the continuity of the Russian hagiographic tradition, which was largely relying on personal qualities that were significant for the Russian linguistic consciousness of hallowed individuals and based on the religious and moral ideal.The analysis of emotive lexis helped highlight the methods of composing the images of saints in hagiographic texts. It is also intended to convey the author’s major concepts. Such lexical items have several functions. They are found in the central segments of texts that characterize people, objects, and various phenomena. Besides, they provide descriptions of the topos. The following parameters are distinguished: 1) the status of the described object (saint/ordinary person); 2) the specificity of an emotion conveyed in the verb (positive/negative/neutral) as well as its intensity (low/medium/high); 3) the cause of emotional suffering. In hagiographic texts the lexis of emotions seems to be a link between the content and the formal structure of the text, thus fulfilling a text-composing function. В статье представлены результаты анализа оригинальных агиографических текстов XVIII–XX веков, которые изучены с позиций синхронно-диахронического подхода как единый массив, характеризующийся общностью культурных смыслов, передаваемых языковыми единицами, и свидетельствующий о непрерывности русской житийной традиции, которая во многом обеспечивалась опорой на выявленные значимые для русской языковой картины мира личностные качества подвижника, составляющие религиозно-нравственный идеал.При анализе эмотивной лексики, используемой в агиографических текстах, было установлено, что лексика эмоций в житии выявляет существенные для понимания концепции автора смыслы, становится важным средством создания образа святого. Данные языковые единицы употребляются в ключевых фрагментах житийного текста с целью описания и характеристики людей, предметов и явлений действительности, связаны с использованием топосов и реализуют в житии ряд функций, прежде всего – характерологическую и текстообразующую. При реализации характерологической функции релевантны следующие параметры: 1) статус характеризуемого субъекта (святой / обычный человек); 2) характер обозначаемой глаголом эмоции (положительная / отрицательная / нейтральная) и ее интенсивность (низкая / средняя / высокая); 3) причина эмоционального переживания. Выступая связующим элементом содержательно-смыслового пространства и формальной организации текста в анализируемых житиях, лексика эмоций реализует текстообразующую функцию.

В данной статье рассматривается отражение эмоциональной составляющей в национальной фразеологии России и Китая, поскольку именно в устойчивых лексических сочетаниях наиболее отчетливо выражается менталитет народа. В качестве примера взяты фразеологизмы, отражающие эмоцию «радость», а также синонимы и антонимы данного понятия в китайской и русской лингвокультурах. Главный метод исследования – сопоставление. В ходе изучения указанного языкового материала выявлена существенная разница в понимании эмоции «радость» в указанных языках, а также в способах ее языкового выражения на примере фразеологизмов. Так, в русском языке радость толкуется как определенное душевное состояние с акцентом на его качество, а в китайском языке – как то же, но с учетом действия: заключение брака, вынашивание и рождение ребенка, любимое занятие, при этом в китайском языке очень много похожих слов со сходным значением, в отличие от русского. В статье показано формальное отличие русский и китайских устойчивых сочетаний по количеству элементов и наличию вариативности, выделены три группы русско-китайских эквивалентов по степени смысловой тождественности (от абсолютных эквивалентов к относительным)., The research presents reflection on the emotional component in the national phraseology of Russia and China, since it is in the stable lexical combinations that the mentality of the people is most clearly expressed. As an example the researcher uses phraseological expressions reflecting the emotion “joy”, as well as synonyms and antonyms of this concept in the Chinese and Russian linguocultures. The main method of research is comparison. During the study of the mentioned linguistic material the significant difference in the understanding of the emotion “joy” in the mentioned languages was revealed, as well as in the ways of its linguistic expression on the example of phraseological expressions. So, in Russian joy is interpreted as a certain state of mind with the emphasis on its quality, and in Chinese – as the same, but taking into account the action: marriage, bearing and birth of a child, favorite occupation, thus in Chinese there are many similar words with similar meanings, unlike in Russian. The article shows formal difference between the Russian-Chinese stable combinations by the number of elements and the presence of variability, three groups of Russian-Chinese equivalents by degree of semantic identity (from absolute equivalents to relative equivalents) are distinguished.

Статья посвящена изучению вербализации синдрома эмоционального выгорания, понимаемого как личностный способ психологической защиты посредством снижения интенсивности эмоциональных реакций на психотравмирующие стимулы. Анализ лингвистических маркеров эмоционального выгорания проведен на языковом материале, созданном личностью с подтвержденным диагнозом синдрома эмоционального выгорания. Исследование проведено на основе лексико-семантического, количественного и описательного методов, а также метода лингвистической интерпретации. Выявлены лексические (существительные, прилагательные, наречия, глаголы) и стилистические (метафоры, эпитеты) средства актуализации наличия синдрома эмоционального выгорания. Установлено, что вербальные маркеры способствуют выражению ряда эмоциональных реакций, таких как эмоциональное отношение, состояние, воздействие и характеризация. Наиболее частотными являются лексемы со значением эмоционального состояния., The article is devoted to the study of verbalization of emotional burnout syndrome that is understood as a personal way of psychological defense by means of intensity reduction of emotional reactions to psychotraumatic stimuli. The analysis of linguistic markers of emotional burnout is carried out on the linguistic material created by a person with a confirmed diagnosis of emotional burnout syndrome. The research is carried out on the basis of lexico-semantic, quantitative and descriptive methods as well as the method of linguistic interpretation. The lexical (nouns, adjectives, adverbs, verbs) and stylistic (metaphors, epithets) means of actualization of emotional burnout syndrome presence were revealed. It was found that verbal markers contribute to the expression of a number of emotional reactions, such as emotional attitude, state, influence and characterization. The most frequent are lexemes with the meaning of emotional state.

In accordance with the aim of the work, the features of verbal and non-verbal means of expressing the category of emotivity in manga were identified. To achieve the purpose of the study, the specificity of manga as a special type of creolized text was determined; the category of emotivity as an object of linguistic study was studied; the features of verbal and nonverbal means of expressing the category of emotivity in manga were revealed. In the practical part of the study, verbal and non-verbal means of expressing the category of emotivity in manga were considered. The results of the conducted research have shown that manga is a creolized text, where the emotive space is realized on two levels: verbal (emotive vocabulary, nominal suffixes, speech characteristics of characters) and nonverbal (illustrations, phylacters, arrangement of frames on the page).

The report examines the usage of psychological terms in the media and everyday communication, producing lexical neologisms that refer to the emotional sphere of a person and name various deviant phychological states. The development of a special type of word meaning is considered. Рассматривается процесс использования психологических терминов в медийном и разговорном дискурсах, который приводит к появлению лексических неологизмов, характеризующих эмоциональную сферу человека и связанных с номинацией необычных состояний. Представлено формирование особого типа значения слова. W artykule porównano wykorzystywane współcześnie środki słowotwórcze służące do tworzenia przymiotników nacechowanych emocjonalnie w języku ukraińskim i polskim. W opisie zastosowano podejście bilateralne. Chociaż porównywane języki są typologicznie bliskie, obserwujemy tutaj różnice nie tylko w inwentarzu afiksów tworzących analizowane formy, ale także w łączliwości afiksów. Z przeprowadzonego zestawienia wynika, że więcej podobieństw obserwujemy wśród formacji prefiksalnych. W obu językach wykorzystuje się podobne prefiksy, zdecydowanie przeważają i nabierają produktywności elementy obcego pochodzenia. Sufiksy tworzące porównywane derywaty przymiotnikowe są niejednolite. Najczęstsze, wielofunkcyjne w obu językach i zwykle uznawane za ekwiwalenty formacje sufiksalne (czyli przymiotniki z sufiksami -енький oraz -utki) mają inną łączliwość, szerszą w języku ukraińskim. Tylko w języku polskim funkcjonują nowe formy typu milaśny z sufiksem, który tradycyjnie tworzył zgrubienia. In the paper, modern derivational formants which are used for the building of the emotive adjectives in Ukrainian and Polish languages are compared. Although the compared languages are close, there are differences not only in using affixes but also in their connectivity. The research shows, that there are more similarities among prefixes. In both languages, similar prefixes are used and elements of foreign origin definitely dominate and gain productivity. The suffixes forming the compared adjectives are heterogeneous. The most common multifunctional in both languages and usually recognized equivalent suffix formations (i.e. adjectives with suffixes -енький and -utki) have a different connectivity, broader in Ukrainian. Only in Polish are there new forms, such as milaśny, with a suffix which has traditionally created augmentative forms. У статті було порівняно словотвірні засоби, які в наш час використовуються для творення емоційно маркованих прикметників в українській та польській мовах. Під час аналізу було використано білатеральний підхід. Порівнювані мови типологічно близькі, проте виявлено тут різниці не тільки в інвентарі афіксів, які утворюють аналізовані форми, але й у сполучуваності афіксів. Проведене зіставлення показує, що більше подібного помічаємо серед префіксальних формацій. В обох мовах функціонують подібні префікси, більшу частоту мають морфеми іншомовного походження, які набувають продуктивності. Уживані в обох мовах суфікси - неоднорідні. Багатофункційні та найактивніше використовувані суфікси, які, як правило, вважаються еквівалентами (прикметники з суфіксами -енький та -utki) мають різну сполучуваність, ширшу в українській мові. Тільки в польській мові функціонують нові деривати типу milaśny з суфіксом, який традиційно утворював аугментативні форми.

Одним из трендов современного образования становится развитие эмоционального интеллекта, который подразумевает осведомленность о существовании различных эмоциональных состояний, умение различать их, идентифицировать свои эмоции, а также проявлять эмпатию – ощущать чувства других. Уровень эмоционального интеллекта школьника тем выше, чем богаче его эмотивный и рефлективный лексикон, то есть чем больше систематизированных лексических единиц, называющих эмоциональные состояния и психические процессы, в его активном словарном запасе. В статье текстовый материал по русскому языку для пятого класса основной школы анализируется и оценивается с точки зрения качества формирования эмотивного лексикона обучающихся. Emotional intelligence becomes one of the trends in modern Russian education. It is both an awareness of various emotional states existence as well as the ability to distinguish between them, the ability to identify one’s own emotions, and to manifest empathy, or to feel other people’s feelings. Emotive and reflexive vocabulary are important parts of emotional intelligence. We analyze and evaluate textbooks for the fifth grade Russian language courses in regrds to the quality of forming trainee’s emotive vocabulary.

У статті розглянуто основні підходи до характеристики лексики, що позначає емоції, та емотивної лексики. Подано класифікації емоцій із позитивним і негативним забарвленням; наведено різні підходи щодо поділу фразеологічних одиниць. Здійснено семантичний аналіз фразеологічних одиниць, що виражають гнів в іспанській мові, та виділено фразеологічні одиниці, що позначають гнів, із соматичним, рослинним, тварин¬ним, збройним та міфологічним компонентами. This article applies general theoretical principles in the division of the vocabulary that denotes emotions and emotive vocabulary. It explains main contradictions in defining of emotive vocabulary and gives classification of emotions. It shows importance of positive and negative connotation of emotions and its usage in language. The article presents several approaches towards the research and analysis of phraseological units. There is also made the semantic analysis of phraseological units that express anger in Spanish and based on this analysis are pointed out phraseological units that denote anger in accordance to the presence of next components: parts of the body, plant element, animal element, weapons and mythical element.
