In this article, I take issue with settled claims that the organizational features of the corporation make it the most effective enabler of growth under capitalism – an assumption that has focused various growth‐critical narratives on mechanisms to regulate corporate growth. I argue that such narratives are flawed because, far from always blindly amplifying growth, the corporate form often operationalizes degrowth to protect capital. This argument is theoretically grounded in Marx's analysis of the particularities of growth under capitalism, and a law‐in‐context analysis of how companies operationalize degrowth to protect capital/shareholder interests, utilizing the examples of takeovers and share repurchases. The article shows that narratives seeking to both protect the environment and deliver human flourishing need to be contextualized within an understanding of the specifics of growth under capitalism and the function of corporate law architecture. This article examines the social and economic impact of the greatly vaunted process of personal wealth accumulation. Recent decades have seen a significant surge in the level of privately owned wealth in the UK, other rich nations and globally. Yet this wealth boom is not associated with an historic boost in innovation and business performance or a faster rate of growth. The article examines the case for distinguishing between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ wealth. ‘Good’ wealth derives from activity which contributes to the common good and wider societal progress, while ‘bad’ wealth occurs when disproportionate and unmerited power is used to seize a larger slice of the economic pie at the expense of others. The evidence is that a significant proportion of growing wealth pools has come through appropriation and transfer, imposing widespread costs on society. Most entrepreneurial ventures fail. Most corporate ventures fail too, often more expensively. Against this backdrop, Lean Startup and Discovery-Driven Growth (DDG) are methods that emphasize rapid learning, resource parsimony, and an intense focus on validating assumptions as ways of reducing the cost and risk of failure. Lean Startup had its roots in and makes a contribution to entrepreneurship; Discovery-Driven Growth emerged instead from the study of corporate innovation efforts. Both acknowledge that planning methods based on low-uncertainty situations fall short when faced with high-uncertainty contexts. DDG suggests five design steps that interact: defining success, checking for realism, defining operations, documenting assumptions, and planning through checkpoints. Similar to Lean Startup, it emphasizes an experimental approach to learning. Different than Lean Startup, it is less prescriptive about the method and embraces wider uncertainties than Lean Startup's focus on product-market fit. In a context that has been described as an "innovation arms race," both methods are a major advance over traditional planning processes because they both emphasize rapid learning. Sustainability is about intergenerational solidarity in finding solutions to ensure the continued growth that allows organizations and companies to be proactive. In the context of contemporary technology, the fourth industrial revolution, i.e., the widely accepted notion of Industry 4.0, and swift corporate growth; the effects of industry, transportation, and urbanization on climate change; and the preservation of the environment in its entirety are becoming more and more significant. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the eco-innovation performance of European nations, comparing their evolution from 2013 to 2022, in order to identify patterns, leaders, and opportunities for improvement in the implementation of eco-innovation strategies. This study includes the analysis of the Eco-Innovation Index as well as other studies carried out at the European Union level in the field of sustainability and sustainable innovation through the graphic maps, cluster analysis, and correspondence analysis in the statistical program SPSS. Different approaches to development are taken by the EU's member states. Even though some countries have achieved significantly lower results than the average of the Eco-Innovation Index or significantly higher results than the average, overall, all countries (except Romania) have improved their point evaluations when compared to the year 2013 when the Eco-Innovation Index started to be reported. The nations in the Northern European region produce consistent, long-term outcomes, and these countries have emerged as leaders in innovation in recent years. The countries of Luxembourg, Austria, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark have the best long-term outcomes. This research aimed to determine the influence of Company Growth, Company Profitability, and Market Capitalization through Environmental, Social, & Governance on Company Value. This study uses a quantitative approach with data from financial statements published and audited by independent institutions. It also uses the SmartPLS 3.2.9 application in the research data processing process. The Population of this study is 87 issuers in the energy sector. Through several stages, as many as ten issuers were obtained as research samples with seven years of observation. The study results show that Profitability and Market Capitalization have a positive and significant effect on Environmental and Social Governance (E.S.G.), and Profit ability and Market Capitalization have a positive and significant impact on Company Value. Meanwhile, the Corporate Growth variable has a negative and insignificant impact on Environmental, Social, and governance (E.S.G.). Corporate Growth and Environmental, Social, and governance have an adverse and negligible effect on Company Value. Environmental, Social, and governance (E.S.G.) cannot mediate the influence of Company Growth, Profitability, and Market Capitalization on Company Value. The Total Determination Coefficient in this study was 0.335 or 33.5%. That is, the information contained in the data is 33.5%, which the model can explain. This study explores the effect of the overseas growth experiences of successors in family businesses on corporate risk-taking. We theorize that successors in family businesses, influenced by psychological characteristics imprinted during their overseas experiences, are more inclined to undertake risky strategic decisions. However, due to considerations related to social emotional wealth, family businesses may intervene in the successors’ risk-taking decisions. Therefore, family control may positively or negatively moderate the relationship between successors’ overseas growth experiences and corporate risk-taking. Our theoretical expectations are tested using a matched sample of Chinese-listed family firms from 2012 to 2021. This study empirically examines why firms engage in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities based on the classical economic perspective, which is shareholder value maximization. Using the CSR index evaluated by the Korean government, we find that firms with a high score on the index are more likely to engage in tax avoidance practices to mitigate potential costs. This finding suggests that firms aiming to maximize profits strategically employ CSR activities under social pressure to accommodate heterogeneous preferences of shareholders and stakeholders. The economic institutionalist literature often suggests that sub-optimal institutional arrangements impart unique distortions in China, and excessive corporate debt is a symptom of this condition. However, lax monetary policies after the global financial crisis, and specifically, quantitative easing have led to concerns about debt bubbles under a wide range of institutional regimes. This study draws on data from Chinese listed firms, supplemented by numerous macroeconomic control variables, to isolate the effect of international capital flows from other drivers of firm leverage. We conclude that the rise in, and distribution of, Chinese corporate debt can partly be ascribed to the effects of monetary policy outside of China and that Chinese institutional features amplify these effects. Whilst Chinese firms are affected by developments in the global financial ecosystem, domestic institutional realities and distortions may unevenly add their own particular effects, providing further support for and extending the variegated capitalism literature. We consider whether government bonds, through the term structure, or corporate bonds, through the default yield, provide predictive power for output, consumption and investment growth in the United States. Such predictive power will allow policy‐makers to use the information as a leading indicator for macroeconomic performance and will improve our understanding of the links between real and financial markets. Full sample results suggest that both interest rate series exhibit predictive power for each of the macroeconomic growth series. Time‐variation in the predictive coefficient reveals the waning influence of the term structure and the rising influence of the default yield. Forecast results, which are obtained from a rolling window approach, likewise suggest both series have information content for macroeconomic conditions, but there is a change in their relative strengths. These results may arise as interest rates have declined since the highs of the early to mid‐1980s thus reducing the information content of government yields, whereas corporate bonds respond more to investor views of macroeconomic risk, which affects a firm's ability to repay its debt. Research Summary: The knowledge‐based view (KBV) claims that knowledge is the most important strategic resource because it is the strongest determinant of firm competitive advantage and the glue that pulls resources together. We examine this assertion through a meta‐analysis of the accumulated evidence on the relationships among strategic resources and firm performance (stock market, financial performance, and growth). Findings from 348 samples reporting 248,136 firm‐level observations show that knowledge resources have the highest positive association with all three performance dimensions, with the highest positive relationship with growth, followed by market and then financial performance. Further, knowledge may serve as a foundational resource by augmenting other strategic resources and helping make firms different. These findings support the KBV's core prediction that knowledge resources offer superior strategic value. Managerial Summary: Managers need to understand what resources yield the strongest and most consistent returns. We examined the often‐invoked claim that knowledge is the most important resource associated with firm success. Our study combines evidence from over 300 samples and finds that knowledge‐based resources are consistently associated with the strongest profit, stock market, and growth returns relative to other types of resource investments. We provide new evidence that disruptions in firms' access to credit during the Global Financial Crisis significantly affected product innovation in the consumer goods sector. We combine highly granular retail scan data with lending data and find that credit-constrained firms introduced fewer new products, those products were less novel, and new products sold less well. Overall, these findings suggest that disruptions to credit markets impair firms' ability to compete for profits through new product offerings. During the hot dip aluminum plating process, components such as sinking rollers, pulling rollers, and guide plates will come into long-term contact with high-temperature liquid aluminum and be corroded by the aluminum liquid, greatly reducing their service life. Therefore, the development of a material with excellent corrosion resistance to molten aluminum is used to prepare parts for the dipping and plating equipment and protect the equipment from erosion, which can effectively improve the production efficiency of the factory and strengthen the quality of aluminum-plated materials, which is of great significance for the growth of corporate profits. With AlFeNiCoCr as the binder phase and ZrB2 as the hard phase, ZrB2-based ceramic composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS). SEM, EDS and XRD were used to characterize the microstructure and properties of the sintered, corroded, and abraded material samples. The density, fracture toughness, corrosion rate and wear amount of the composite material were measured. The results show that ZrB2-AlFeNiCoCr ceramics have compact structure and excellent mechanical properties, and the density, hardness and fracture toughness of ZrB2-AlFeNiCoCr increase with the increase in sintering temperature. However, when the composite material is at 1600 °C, the relative density of the sintering at 1600 °C decreases due to the overflow of the bonding phase. Therefore, when the sintering temperature is 1500 °C, the high entropy alloy has the best performance. The average corrosion rate of ZrB2-1500 at 700 °C liquid aluminum is 1.225 × 10−3 mm/h, and the wear amount in the friction and wear test is 0.104 mm3. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

High-growth firms (HGFs) are important for job creation and productivity growth. We investigate the relationship between product and labour market regulations, as well as the quality of regional governments that implement these regulations, and the development of HGFs across European regions. Using data from Eurostat, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Economic Forum (WEF), and Gothenburg University, we show that both regulatory stringency and the quality of the regional government relate to the regional shares of HGFs. In particular, we find that the effect of labour and product market regulations is moderated by the quality of regional government. Depending on the quality of regional governments, regulations may have a 'good, bad or ugly' influence on the development of HGFs. Our findings contribute to the debate on the effects of regulations and offer important building blocks to develop tailored policy measures that may influence the development of HGFs in a region. This study explores the moderating role of trade credit in the value-creation process of firms. Through panel data analysis of annual data from publicly listed firms in ten developing Asian economies, we found that both investing in capacity expansion and engaging in trade credit activity positively impact the value creation process. However, the combination of capacity expansion and trade credit leads to enhanced value creation. The findings highlight the roles played by both borrowed and supplied trade credit in this process. By examining the role of trade credit as a catalyst between corporate investment and value creation, this study provides valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners. The results suggest that firms in these economies should consider increasing their trade finance activity to achieve higher value through capacity expansion. To ensure the validity of the findings, the study conducts a series of robustness checks, including alternative regression specifications, different measures of the key variables, and diverse sample compositions. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the adoption of financial technology on the green growth and sustainability of SMEs. The root issue is that despite the increasing attention of fintech exposure in business markets, Malaysian businesses are hesitant to fully adopt this emerging technology. This study aims to bridge the gap between the potential of fintech innovations and their practical implementation by adopting two theoretical approaches: 1) Research-based view model for green growth 2) Extended version of the technology acceptance model for the fintech dimension. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research adopts a quantitative method using a cross-sectional survey design with a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data was collected from 247 decision-makers representing SMEs in Selangor, Malaysia, and the sampling technique uses stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed using SPSS and Smart-PLS. Findings: Fintech factors of green financing and green investment significantly influence the green growth sustainability, while cryptocurrency is not significant towards it. Interestingly, the finding on the moderator role of blockchain smart contracts does not play a role in moderating all the fintech factors toward green growth sustainability. Practical Implication: The direct relationship of green financing and green investment is driving the future innovation toward green growth sustainability, particularly for SMEs, but cryptocurrency gives a different insight on it. On the other hand, integrating blockchain smart contracts as the moderator for the fintech dimension does not allow the businesses to move toward green sustainability. It is essential for companies to provide platforms by offering knowledge and awareness about this technology. Aside from this, the study provides empirical implications for SMEs green growth sustainability using fintech platforms. Originality value: The research findings reveal that the moderating effect of blockchain smart contracts was insignificant in driving green sustainability outcomes for SMEs. This innovation did not support green growth sustainability to enhance transparency and increase the accountability into the environmental claims. This study delves deeply into the multifaceted nature of investor value creation, focusing on financial health, growth, profitability, cash flow, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) risk ratings. The research employs partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to dissect the interactions among these variables in a sample of 482 S&P 500 firms. Data were obtained from the FINRA database (2023) and Sustainalytics ESG risk ratings (2023). The results indicate that solid financial health enhances investor value creation. While growth fosters profitability, its direct impact on value creation and cash flow appears limited. The study also uncovers that ESG risk ratings negatively moderate the relationship between cash flow and value creation. This finding suggests that higher ESG risks lead to increased operational and compliance costs, which can reduce working capital and operating cash flow. Additionally, although sustainability investments may initially incur higher costs, they generate long-term value in terms of investment cash flow. A high perception of ESG risk can also raise financing costs, negatively impacting financial cash flow. These findings offer significant contributions to both academic theory and practical applications, shedding light on the complex interplay between financial and sustainability indicators in driving value creation for investors. We examine the impact of activist hedge fund campaigns on corporate Intangible Capital (IC) investments, a key determinant of corporate long-term growth and performance. We document that post-activist campaigns, targeted firms reduce IC investments by more than 10% compared to carefully matched non-target firms. In cross-sectional analyses, we observe the largest effects in less competitive industries, for older target firms and for firms with high financial constraints suggesting that IC cuts are more common in low-discipline and low-barriers-to-invest contexts. Hedge funds are cutting down IC investments when they engage both in relatively short and longer interventions but especially so when they have less industry investment experience. Further, we do not find evidence of post-intervention increased investment efficiency in targeted firms, casting some doubt on the longer-term value-added of activist IC slashing campaigns. Finally, in an attempt to identify where the saved IC resources post intervention flow to, we observe that targeted firms increase corporate payouts and prefer share repurchase programs above cash dividends. Purpose: This study aims to explore the relationship between the degree of state-owned enterprises' (SOEs) mixed reform and the environmental response of enterprises, against the background of actively promoting the reform of mixed ownership in China. Design/methodology/approach: The study is conducted on a sample of A-share listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen of China, investigated for the period 2015 to 2020. The baseline regression results are robust to a series of robustness and endogeneity tests. To deal with the issue of endogeneity, the technique of instrumental variable method has been applied. Findings: The study confirms the U-shaped effect of the depth and restriction of mixed ownership on SOEs' environmentally responsive behaviour in the manufacturing industry, especially for lower environmental regulation and higher level of risk-taking firms. The findings indicate that the government, shareholders and other stakeholders of enterprises should not simply consider that the mixed reform is directly promoting or reducing the environmental response behaviour of enterprises. Practical implications: SOEs should improve their shareholding structures to undermine performance enhancement at the expense of the environment and increase environmentally beneficial behaviours. Regulators and governments should improve the institutional mechanism of environmental regulation and make efforts to promote corporate awareness of the environment. Social implications: Although the adoption and implementation of environmentally friendly policies are costly, improved environmental response and other social responsibilities are helpful to corporate long-term growth and reputation and obtain more capital market attention. Therefore, firms would benefit from improving their environmental response to protect nature, as well as to enjoy the economic and social benefits of a better environmental response. Originality/value: To the best of the authors' knowledge, there is a lack of studies focussing on the environmental behaviour of SOEs of mixed reform. As the mixed reform in China has come to a climax phase in recent several years, SOEs of mixed reform is an ideal environment for research. We provide novel evidence showing that shareholder litigation risk influences firms' choices of external growth strategies. Using staggered adoption of universal demand (UD) laws, we find that firms under the threat of litigation tend to choose corporate alliances over mergers and acquisitions (M&As). This finding supports the view that alliances offer a low-risk and low-cost alternative to M&As for firms facing litigation risk. Moreover, alliance performance improves after the passage of UD laws, suggesting that firms can make better deal selections under reduced litigation threats. This study examines the role of periodic information, the mechanism of influence, stochastic resonance, and its controllable analysis in complex corporate financial systems. A stochastic predator–prey complex corporate financial system model driven by periodic information is proposed. Additionally, we introduce signal power amplification to quantify the stochastic resonance phenomenon and develop a method for analyzing stochastic resonance in financial predator–prey dynamics within complex corporate financial systems. We optimize a simplified integral calculation method to enhance the proposed model's performance, which demonstrates superiority over benchmark models based on empirical evidence. Based on stochastic simulations and numerical calculations, we can observe multiple stochastic and multiple inverse stochastic resonances. Furthermore, variations in initial financial information, periodic information frequency, and corporate growth capacity induced stochastic resonance and inverse stochastic resonance. These variations also led to state transitions between the two resonance behaviors, indicating transition phenomena. These findings suggest the potential for regulating and controlling stochastic and inverse stochastic resonance in complex corporate finance, enabling controllable stochastic resonance behaviors. Contradictions are the driving force for corporate growth, and enterprises are a process of contradictory motion. This paper provides a brief analysis of the four pairs of conjugate contradictions in Extenics (namely nonmaterial-material, soft-hard, negative-positive, and laten-apparent). Through the case study of Time-Quality-Margin (TQM), which addresses the conjugate contradictions among quality, delivery time, and profit, ways to find solutions and approaches to contradictory problems through the analysis of conjugate contradictions is revealed. The discussion indicates that by analyzing these four pairs of conjugate contradictions, one can derive ideas, strategies, or creative solutions to manage contradictory issues, which is the value of the conjugate contradiction analysis in Extenics. Art-based interventions are increasingly employed in workplace settings for the purposes of organizational training and development. In this article, we examine the implementation of a workshop where hand drumming is used in two client organizations. Through the detailed analysis of the trainers' actions, the article shows how the trainers use the combination of verbal and embodied means in order to instruct and encourage participation in joint drumming. In particular, the article demonstrates how the trainers' instructive practice change across the instructional phases of the workshop and form a trajectory from pre-planned rhythm patterns to free collective improvisation in the pre-designed service product. Sustainable development of companies is emphasized by many asset management companies around the world as an investment decision criterion. So, the most important issue in business management is Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). But, criticism of ESG has been raised and some studies have found the impact of green innovation and ESG on financial performance to be inconclusive or inconsistent. At this point, this study reviewed ESG‐related researches and examined the relationship between green innovation, ESG, and sustainable growth. By analyzing the mediating effect of ESG score, this study examined whether investment for green innovation directly affects corporate sustainable growth or indirectly affects it through ESG score, an external evaluation. In addition, a moderating variable was added to see if this relationship varies by industry. For this research purpose, the moderated mediation effect analysis using PROCESS macro was conducted in‐depth. Companies received ESG evaluation by Korea Corporate Governance Service were selected as a sample. The results of this study will provide many implications for companies that are driving ESG. This study develops an R &D-based growth model with corporate taxation to explore the heterogeneous effects of intellectual property rights (IPR) protection on innovation of firms with different tax rates. Our theoretical analysis shows that strengthening IPR stimulates innovation, and a higher tax rate dampens the positive effect of IPR. To account for the interactive effect between IPR and taxation, we find supportive evidence for the theoretical result using firm-level data in China. Based on a review of related concepts and theories this study investigates the different impacts of research and development (R&D) innovation and political background on corporate growth in a particular context. Unlike other studies, we integrate these two factors. We empirically analyze 6079 sets of data from 1292 A-share private manufacturing enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2012 to 2019. The results show that these factors directly impact corporate growth and have heterogeneous effects at different enterprise growth levels. We find the effect of R&D innovation on corporate growth is more pronounced for young firms. These findings highlight the need for firms to adjust their investments in R&D innovation and political backgrounds at different stages of development to adapt to different markets and political environments. This study investigated the roles that product quality, pricing, and marketing play in maintaining the viability of the factory outlet industry. According to the study's findings, dimensions such as product quality, pricing, and promotions all impact a factory outlet's ability to remain viable in the long run. To enhance sales of factory outlet items, product quality, pricing, and sales promotion are the key determinants in capturing the hearts of customers. Every business must rapidly decide on its price to advertise a good product or service. Purpose: This study aims to investigate the impact of corporate diversification and growth opportunities on the performance of real estate investment trusts (REIT) in Malaysia and Singapore before and during the pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: The sample consists of 33 public-listed REITs across Singapore and Malaysia. A dynamic panel system generalized method of moments (DPS-GMM) estimation is used to account for unobservable factors and a relatively short sample period (2009–2022). Findings: Results indicate that the impact of diversification is contingent on the market where the REIT is based and other institutional factors. The estimates also show that diversified REITs are better able to weather period of economic uncertainty. Practical implications: We provided a definitive answer as to why corporate diversification leads to conflicting outcomes – market and institutional factors, strategic intent and the overall economic environment. We also show that the impact of typical firm controls (i.e. free cash, size) can differ. Future firm-level work should thus study similar phenomenon more contextually and carefully consider these varying effects. Originality/value: The literature is divided on the impact of diversification on firm performance. By using a two-country sample, we show conclusive evidence that this contradictory outcome is due to market and institutional factors. We also show evidence that strategic intent is an important factor that influences the outcomes of diversification, regardless of market. We also infer that excess cash aids the resilience of the firm, contrary to the negative perception of excess cash during normal times. US data are used to explore the relationship between the unemployment rate and productivity at different cycle lengths by employing time–frequency methodology. Previous studies suggest that the unemployment rate is positively related to productivity increases in the short-run (high frequency ranges), and negatively related at the longer-intervals (low frequency ranges)—and although we largely reproduce these results, with more recent data, we also provide some important additional insights. The extended results show the relationship between unemployment and productivity in the time–frequency domain using growth in corporate profitability as a conditioning variable, to observe the long-term stability of the productivity-unemployment relationship. We find that when conditioned on the growth in corporate profits, the response of unemployment to the growth in productivity has become much stronger and faster in recent years, with the result that labor market adjustments are no longer keeping pace with the technological change. Not only this, but the usual explanation that short-term losses in employment consequent on growth in productivity is outweighed by long-term gains appears to be weakening and our results suggest that this may already be reversing, perhaps in response to the AI revolution currently underway. We examine the effects of violent crime on corporate investment and financing decisions of Brazilian firms. Exploring city variation in homicides, we find that an increase in the growth rate of homicides is associated with significantly lower corporate investments, with lower labour investments, and with a higher likelihood of layoffs. Spikes in violent crime are also associated with more conservative financing policies, reflected in higher cash holdings, in lower R&D (research and development) expenditures, and in lower dividend payments. Homicides further affect investment efficiency and financing choices, decoupling investment from debt finance and profitability. Moreover, the negative association between homicides and investment is significantly stronger in smaller firms, which highlights the uneven costs of violent crime in reducing firm growth. Corporate strategic deviance plays an essential role in the survival and development of enterprises; however, does it have the same impact on all types of goals (corporate growth and corporate profit)? Using Chinese listed companies from 2010 to 2018, we address this question by examining the influence of corporate strategic deviance on corporate growth and corporate profit. The results show that corporate strategic deviance has a positive effect on corporate growth; the institutional environment strengthens the positive relationship between corporate strategic deviance and corporate growth; the relationship between corporate strategic deviance and corporate profit is a U-shaped function; and the U-shaped relationship between corporate strategic deviance and corporate profit becomes weaker when companies in developed institutional environments. Our research moves beyond the debate about whether corporate strategic deviance increases or decreases corporate performance by analyzing the effect of corporate strategic deviance on different corporate goals in China, the results are helpful to understand the inconsistent conclusions of existing research. In addition, our study enriches the situational theory of corporate strategic deviance that affects corporate growth and profit by introducing the institutional environment as a moderating variable. While most firms do not grow, a small number of firms grow and enhance their equity and debt capital intensity. Researchers, managers and policymakers question the role that digital technologies play in propelling firm growth and resource mobilization. Using a longitudinal dataset from emerging industries in the United Kingdom during 2010–2019, we distinguish three types of firms and examine their growth and resource mobilization. First, we find that digitally advanced firms grow faster and enhance equity capital intensity while reducing debt capital intensity. Second, we find that the relationship between digitally advanced firms and firm growth is mediated by equity capital intensity. Third, firm size positively moderates the effect of digitally advanced firms on firm growth. Firm age does not moderate this relationship. Other firm‐level characteristics, such as number of digital tools, firm productivity, accelerator experience and stage of growth, may either impede or facilitate a firm's growth and resource mobilization. In today's corporate environment, fostering high employee performance is crucial for organisational growth. Companies must enhance performance within their operations by utilizing various resources, including natural, financial, human, scientific, and technological assets. These resources provide the energy, strength, and power needed to generate momentum and activity. Exceptional employee performance is essential for achieving desired outcomes. This study explores the impact of compensation and organisational culture on employee performance, with work motivation as an intervening variable at PT. Panen Lestari Indonesia (East Java Surabaya). A quantitative approach was adopted, collecting data through observation, interviews, and questionnaires from 73 employees. The analysis employed the Partial Least Square (PLS) methodology. Results show that compensation and organisational culture significantly affect employee performance via work motivation, which mediates these effects. The study underscores the importance of integrating compensation and supportive organisational culture to enhance employee performance, highlighting work motivation as a key mediating factor. These findings provide practical implications for managers and HR professionals, suggesting that improving employee performance requires considering the interplay between compensation, organisational culture, and work motivation. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether there are differences in the impact of corporate social responsibility on its financial performance and stock performance in different industries. The research period is from 2016 to 2018. The samples are selected from the corporate social responsibility awardwinning companies selected by Commonwealth Magazine and Vision Magazine, and the financial information comes from Taiwan Economic News (TEJ). The empirical results show that traditional heavy industries have been established for a long time and the equipment is relatively old, so it needs to pay a relatively high cost to improve. Therefore, in this type of industry, corporate social responsibility has a negative impact on its financial impact, and even if it is a reputation, it has won the evaluation of the public, but its stock characteristics are not easy to fluctuate, so the impact on its stock performance is not significant. On the contrary, in the other two industries, corporate social responsibility will not burden its financial performance, but will positively help its stock performance. Among them, in the electronics industry, corporate social responsibility will positively help its financial performance. It may be that this type of industry has a relatively high bargaining power for products and relatively advanced technology, so it can transfer the cost of corporate responsibility invested to the selling price of the product.
