International large-scale assessments (ILSAs) in education provide researchers with opportunities to study educational phenomena in a large set of contexts, educational systems, domains, and student populations. This project evaluates this potential and develops and illustrates methodological approaches and guidance to incorporating ILSAs in meta-analyses.
