Este experimento foi conduzido com o objetivo de avaliar o valor nutritivo da Brachiaria humidicola (Rendle) Schweickt sob diferentes métodos de recuperação. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso com confundimento e em parcelas subdivididas, sendo a parcela principal representada pela combinação dos manejos com os níveis de adubação e as subparcelas, pelos períodos de diferimento. Os tratamentos experimentais foram constituídos de quatro manejos de pastagem (sem preparo do solo, gradagem, gradagem + milho, plantio direto do milho), dois níveis de nitrogênio (0 e 100 kg de N/ha), dois níveis de fósforo (0 e 100 kg de P2O5/ha) e diferentes períodos de diferimento (113, 156, 200 e 240 dias), perfazendo 64 tratamentos, com três repetições. Foram avaliados teor de proteína bruta (PB), de fibra em detergente neutro (FDN), de fibra em detergente ácido (FDA), de fósforo (P) e de digestibilidade in vitro da matéria seca (DIVMS). Houve interação significativa entre sistemas de manejo e adubação fosfatada para os parâmetros FDN, FDA e P da braquiária. Foram obtidos valores de 40,36 e 61,92%; 43,89 e 56,58%; 44,52 e 31,35%; 46,25 e 30,07% para FDA e DIVMS da B. humidicola, para 113, 156, 200 e 240 dias de diferimento, respectivamente.The research was carried out to evaluate qualitative aspects of a B. humidicola degraded pasture managed under different recovery methods in Bezerros-PE. A confounded split-plot randomized block design was used. The main plot was formed by the factorial arrangement between managements and fertilization levels. The splitplot model consisted of the different deferment periods. The factors were represented by four recovery managements (no-tillage, arrowing, arrowing + corn, no-tillage + corn), two N levels (0 and 100 kg/ha of N), two P levels (0 and 100 kg/ha of P2O5) and four deferment periods (113, 156, 200 and 240 days), with three replications. CP, NDF, ADF, P, ashes contents and IVDMD were determined. Significant interaction among management systems and P fertilization was observed when NDF, ADF and P concentration of braquiária were evaluated. B. humidicola deffered for 113, 156, 200 and 240 days showed the following ADF and IVDMD values, respectively: 40.36 and 61.92%; 43.89 and 56.58%; 44.52 and 31.35%; 46.25 and 30.07%.

Farrowing induction and synchronization protocols enable pig farms to concentrate farrowings as convenient to ensure proper farrowing assistance, minimizing stillbirths and improving productive results. The present study evaluates the response of 97 sows to farrowing induction with 1 mL of a 2mg/mL solution of alphaprostol, a prostaglandin F2α analogue, in one fulldose or two half-dose injections. Sows were evaluated by the variables: stillborn, liveborn, and mummified fetus' numbers and the occurrence of farrowing within or without the target period. The results suggest a trend towards a better concentration of farrowings in the desired period, but also a higher number of stillborn, with two vs. one alphaprostol injections. Abstract: The present paper describes a new algorithm to calculate the watershed transform through rain simulation of greyscale digital images by means of pixel arrowing. The efficiency of this method is based on limiting the necessary neighbouring operations to compute the transform to the outmost, and in the total number of scannings performed over the whole image. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is able to significantly reduce the running time of the fastest known algorithm without involving any loss of efficiency.
