Background Methods Results Conclusion Over recent years, there has been a notable rise in the incidence of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA), which presents a significant challenge in treatment due to its complex disease characteristics and prognosis. Notably, the identification of fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 (FGFR2) fusion/rearrangement, a potential oncogenic driver primarily observed in iCCA, raises questions about its impact on the prognostic outcomes of patients undergoing surgical intervention or other therapeutic approaches.A comprehensive search from inception to July 2023 was conducted across PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library databases. The objective was to identify relevant publications comparing the prognosis of FGFR2 alterations and no FGFR2 alterations groups among patients with iCCA undergoing surgical resection or other systemic therapies. The primary outcome indicators, specifically Overall Survival (OS) and Disease‐Free Survival (DFS), were estimated using Hazard Ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs), and statistical significance was defined as p < .05. Study quality was assessed using the Newcastle‐Ottawa Quality Assessment Scale. Statistical analyses were performed using Review Manager 5.4 software and Stata, version 12.0.Six studies, involving 1314 patients (FGFR2 alterations group n = 173 and no FGFR2 alterations group n = 1141), were included in the meta‐analysis. The analysis revealed that the FGFR2 alterations group exhibited a significantly better OS prognosis compared to the no FGFR2 alterations group, with a fixed‐effects combined effect size HR = 1.31, 95%CI = 1.001–1.715, p = .049. Furthermore, meta‐regression and subgroup analysis showed that the length of the follow‐up period did not introduce heterogeneity into the results. This finding indicates the stability and reliability of the study outcomes.The current study provides compelling evidence that FGFR2 alterations are frequently associated with improved survival outcomes for patients with iCCA undergoing surgical resection or other systemic treatments. Additionally, the study suggests that FGFR2 holds promise as a safe and dependable therapeutic target for managing metastatic, locally advanced or unresectable iCCA. Objectives: Although colorectal cancer (CRC) is the leading cause of cancer-related morbidity and mortality, current diagnostic tests for early-stage CRC and colorectal adenoma (CRA) are suboptimal. Therefore, there is an urgent need to explore less invasive screening procedures for CRC and CRA diagnosis. Methods: Untargeted gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) metabolic profiling approach was applied to identify candidate metabolites. We performed metabolomics profiling on plasma samples from 412 subjects including 200 CRC patients, 160 CRA patients and 52 normal controls (NC). Among these patients, 45 CRC patients, 152 CRA patients and 50 normal controls had their fecal samples tested simultaneously. Results: Differential metabolites were screened in the adenoma-carcinoma sequence. Three diagnostic models were further developed to identify cancer group, cancer stage, and cancer microsatellite status using those significant metabolites. The three-metabolite-only classifiers used to distinguish the cancer group always keeps the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) greater than 0.7. The AUC performance of the classifiers applied to discriminate CRC stage is generally greater than 0.8, and the classifiers used to distinguish microsatellite status of CRC is greater than 0.9. Conclusion: This finding highlights potential early-driver metabolites in CRA and early-stage CRC. We also find potential metabolic markers for discriminating the microsatellite state of CRC. Using first-principles calculations, we studied the formation energy of point defects in cubic silicon carbide (3C-SiC) and the influences of defects on its electronic band structure, density of states, and optical properties. We found that the formation energy of the interstitial defect is greater than that of the vacancy and antisite defect, with the Si interstitial defect having the highest formation energy. The electronic band structure and density of states have no bandgap due to the vacancy defect, interstitial defect, and Si antisite defect (Si atom occupies the position of C atom), while the changes due to the C antisite defect (C atom occupies the position of Si atom) are not significant. Depending on the type of defect, the optical properties change differently, with the vacancy defect having the most significant impact on the optical properties. The vacancy defect notably increases the optical conductivity, dielectric function, reflectivity, extinction coefficient, and refractive index in the low-energy region, indicating the potential application of 3C-SiC in the field of optoelectronic devices. Background: With the improvement of emergency techniques, the survival rate of patients with severe brain injury has increased. However, this has also led to an annual increase in the number of patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness (pDoC). Hence, recovery of consciousness is an important part of treatment. With advancing techniques, noninvasive neuromodulation seems a promising intervention. The objective of this review was to summarize the latest techniques and provide the basis for protocols of noninvasive neuromodulations in pDoC. Methods: This review summarized the advances in noninvasive neuromodulation in the treatment of pDoC in the last 5 years. Results: Variable techniques of neuromodulation are used in pDoC. Transcranial ultrasonic stimulation (TUS) and transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) are very new techniques, while transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) are still the hotspots in pDoC. Median nerve electrical stimulation (MNS) has received little attention in the last 5 years. Conclusions: Noninvasive neuromodulation is a valuable and promising technique to treat pDoC. We conducted two experiments to explore whether moral judgments occur intuitively in sports scenarios, and whether such judgments are influenced by stress and self-control. In Experiment 1 we verified the existence of intuitive moral judgment in sports scenarios, then in Experiment 2 we identified the moderating effect of self-control. Results of a survey with Chinese collegiate athletes showed that under the condition of low stress, there was no significant difference between individuals with strong and weak self-control regarding the accuracy rate of intuitive moral judgment in sports scenarios. Under the condition of high stress, however, individuals with strong self-control were more inclined than were those with weak self-control to intuitively make a judgment that was moral in sports scenarios. Therefore, in sports scenarios stress exerts an influence on intuitive moral judgment, and the degree to which this influence applies is moderated by individual self-control. Objectives: We aimed to investigate bone metastasis induced by Notch signalling pathway dysregulation and to demonstrate that SPARC is a potential therapeutic target in adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC) with Notch dysregulation. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 144 AdCC patients. RNA‐sequencing and enrichment analyses were performed using 32 AdCC samples. Osteonectin/SPARC and the Notch activation indicator Notch intracellular domain (NICD) were detected using immunohistochemistry. Cell proliferation and migration assays were conducted using stably NICD over‐expressing cells. The effect of SPARC on osteoclast differentiation in NICD cells was investigated using western blotting, quantitative reverse transcription PCR, tartrate‐resistant acid phosphatase staining and resorption assays. Results: RNA‐sequencing analysis showed that genes down‐regulated in Notch‐mutant AdCCs, such as SPARC, were enriched in ossification and osteoblast differentiation. Most (75/110, 68.2%) Notch1‐wild‐type AdCCs showed SPARC over‐expression, whereas 30 out of 34 (88.2%) Notch1‐mutant tumours showed low SPARC expression. SPARC over‐expression was then found negatively to be correlated with NICD expression in 144 AdCCs. NICD over‐expression promoted cell growth, migration and osteoclast differentiation, which could be partly reversed by exogenous SPARC. Conclusions: Notch activation in AdCC contributes to bone metastasis through SPARC inhibition. Simple Summary: In current pig farming, pigs are susceptible to stress-induced adverse emotions. Emotional contagion may propagate these emotions within a herd, potentially affecting overall welfare. Typically, treatments of individual pigs should be conducted separately from the group. Thus, after separation from treatment on an individual pig, the behavioral responses and heart rate changes of the companion pig were recorded to determine if the sensory avoidance was effective. It was found that peers were still affected by the treated pigs after sensory avoidance. Separation from treatment does not eliminate the effects of the treated pig on companion pigs, which can still be affected in post-treatment contact. In the pig farming industry, it is recommended to avoid groups when treating individuals to reduce adverse reactions in the group. However, can this eliminate the adverse effects effectively? Piglets were assigned to the Rewarding Group (RG), the Punishing Group (PG), and the Paired Control Group (PCG). There were six replicates in each group, with two paired piglets per replicate. One piglet of the RG and PG was randomly selected as the Treated pig (TP), treated with food rewards or electric shock, and the other as the Naive pig (NP). The NPs in the RG and PG were unaware of the treatment process, and piglets in the PCG were not treated. The behavior and heart rate changes of all piglets were recorded. Compared to the RG, the NPs in the PG showed longer proximity but less contact behavior, and the TPs in the PG showed more freezing behavior. The percentage change in heart rate of the NPs was synchronized with the TPs. This shows that after sensory avoidance, the untreated pigs could also feel the emotions of their peers and their emotional state was affected by their peers, and the negative emotions in the pigs lasted longer than the positive emotions. Converting non‐visual light into photocurrent while maintaining high visual transparency is vital for semitransparent organic solar cells (ST‐OSCs) application, yet often challenging over insufficient invisible light‐harvesting. Herein, spectrally selective optical manipulation for ST‐OSCs with high visual light transparency and full‐spectral non‐visual light reflection is proposed by matching the optical admittance of ultrathin Ag films using ZnS and MgF2. The reflection of optically enhanced ST‐OSCs at the spectral region beyond the human eye's response spectrum is improved and the transmission in the visual region is simultaneously enhanced. By further integrating an anti‐reflective structure, the optimal structure boosts the average visible transmittance and power conversion efficiency of ST‐OSCs to 44.3% and 12.6%, respectively, yielding a record light utilization efficiency of 5.6%. Corresponding flexible ST‐OSCs with high mechanical stability implies that this work provides a facile and universal strategy for ST‐OSCs aiming at building integrated photovoltaics. Phase‐change thermal diodes with asymmetric and adjustable heat transfer capacity exhibit great application prospects in spacecraft heat management and solar energy storage. Current heat modulation strategies mainly depend on the anisotropic assistance from gravity and the rectification ratio can hardly be adjusted due to the immobilized inner structures. Here, a novel bioinspired thermal diode vapor chamber has been carried out with magnetic microgroove cones array sealed between two copper plates, where the evaporating plate with porous copper foam can reserve water and the condensing plate with patterned wettability can coagulate vapor into droplets at designated spot. With microgroove cones rooting from the evaporating plate and their tips contacting the condensing plate, these cones can directionally and rapidly transport condensed liquid from the condensing plate to evaporating plate under the unbalanced strong capillarity while prohibiting water flowing backward. This eventually leads to unidirectional liquid‐vapor circulation and anti‐gravitational directional heat transferring with a rectification ratio as high as 7.4. Such flowing of liquid can also be regulated by magnetically controlling the bending of cones to realize switched ON–OFF of thermal diode and achieve further modulation of heat management. This study developed manganese‐based layered double hydroxide (Mn‐LDH) nanoparticles as a self‐adjuvanted vaccine carrier that not only promoted DC maturation through synergistically depleting endogenous glutathione (GSH) and activating STING signaling pathway, but also facilitated the delivery of model antigen ovalbumin (OVA) into lymph nodes and subsequent antigen presentation in DCs. Significant therapeutic‐prophylactic efficacy of the OVA‐loaded Mn‐LDH (OVA/Mn‐LDH) nanovaccine was determined by the tumor growth inhibition in the mice bearing B16‐OVA tumor. Our results showed that the OVA/Mn‐LDH nanoparticles could be a potent delivery system for cancer vaccine development without the need of adjuvant. Therefore, the combination of GSH exhaustion and STING pathway activation might be an advisable approach for promoting DC maturation and antigen presentation, finally improving cancer vaccine efficacy. H4 avian influenza viruses (AIVs) have been widely detected in live poultry markets in China. However, the potential public health impact of H4 AIVs remains largely uncertain. Here, we fully analyzed the distribution and phylogenetic relationship of H4 AIVs in China. We obtained 31 isolates of H4 viruses in China during 2009–2022 through surveillance in poultry-associated environments, such as live poultry markets and poultry farms. Genomic sequence analysis together with publicly available data revealed that frequent reassortment and introduction of H4 AIV from wild birds to poultry may have occurred. We identified 62 genotypes among 127 whole genome sequences of H4 viruses in China, indicating that H4 AIVs had great genetic diversity in China. We also investigated molecular markers and found that drug resistance mutations frequently occurred in the M2 protein and a few mutations related to receptor binding and the host signature in H4 AIVs. This research investigates the impact of deuteration on the operational lifetime of blue organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). Our study focuses on the kinetic isotope effect (KIE) and how it enhances device lifetime. Specifically, we examine the effects of deuteration on OLEDs with emitters based on common polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by deuterating anthracene‐based host materials. Our findings show that the deuterated analogues with incremental deuterium substitutions exhibit similar electroluminescence (EL) performances but progressively prolonged device lifetimes as a function of deuteration, indicating a cumulative enhancement effect. We observed a twofold increase in device lifetime with partial deuterium substitutions, while highly deuterated hosts realized up to a fourfold improvement. Furthermore, we found that device degradation is initiated from the interface of the hole transport layer (HTL) and emitting layer (ETL), and deuteration can mitigate the degraded reactions in the devices, thereby improving operational stability. These results provide insight into how deuteration can increase the operational lifetime of OLEDs, which has important implications for developing more efficient and durable OLED materials. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have critical applications in various real-world scenarios, including mapping unknown environments, military reconnaissance, and post-disaster search and rescue. In these scenarios where communication infrastructure is missing, UAVs will form an ad hoc network and perform tasks in a distributed manner. To efficiently carry out tasks, each UAV must acquire and share global status information and data from neighbors. Meanwhile, UAVs frequently operate in extreme conditions, including storms, lightning, and mountainous areas, which significantly degrade the quality of wireless communication. Additionally, the mobility of UAVs leads to dynamic changes in network topology. Therefore, we propose a method that utilizes graph neural networks (GNN) to learn cooperative data dissemination. This method leverages the network topology relationship and enables UAVs to learn a decision policy based on local data structure, ensuring that all UAVs can recover global information. We train the policy using reinforcement learning that enhances the effectiveness of each transmission. Soybean being a major cash crop provides half of the vegetable oil and a quarter of the plant proteins to the global population. Seed size traits are the most important agronomic traits determining the soybean yield. These are complex traits governed by polygenes with low heritability as well as are highly influenced by the environment as well as by genotype x environment interactions. Although, extensive efforts have been made to unravel the genetic basis and molecular mechanism of seed size in soybean. But most of these efforts were majorly limited to QTL identification, and only a few genes for seed size were isolated and their molecular mechanism was elucidated. Hence, elucidating the detailed molecular regulatory networks controlling seed size in soybeans has been an important area of research in soybeans from the past decades. This paper describes the current progress of genetic architecture, molecular mechanisms, and regulatory networks for seed sizes of soybeans. Additionally, the main problems and bottlenecks/challenges soybean researchers currently face in seed size research are also discussed. This review summarizes the comprehensive and systematic information to the soybean researchers regarding the molecular understanding of seed size in soybeans and will help future research work on seed size in soybeans. Background: Engrailed homeobox 1 (EN1) is a candidate oncogene that is epigenetically modified in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC). We investigated the expression of EN1 in SACC tissues and cells, EN1 promoter methylation, and the role of EN1 in tumour progression in SACC. Methods: Thirty-five SACC samples were screened for key transcription factors that affect tumour progression. In vitro and in vivo assays were performed to determine the viability, tumorigenicity, and metastatic ability of SACC cells with modulated EN1 expression. Quantitative methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction analysis was performed on SACC samples. Results: EN1 was identified as a transcription factor that was highly overexpressed in SACC tissues, regardless of clinical stage and histology subtype, and its level of expression correlated with distant metastasis. EN1 promoted cell invasion and migration through epithelial-mesenchymal transition in vitro and enhanced SACC metastasis to the lung in vivo. RNA-seq combined with in vitro assays indicated that EN1 might play an oncogenic role in SACC through the PI3K-AKT pathway. EN1 mRNA levels were negatively correlated with promoter hypermethylation, and inhibition of DNA methylation by 5-aza-dC increased EN1 expression. Conclusions: The transcription factor EN1 is overexpressed in SACC under methylation regulation and plays a pivotal role in SACC progression through the PI3K-AKT pathway. As Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) progresses rapidly, there is a growing demand for precise prediction of aerodynamic heating in hypersonic flows, which remains a considerable challenge. In this paper, an accurate and robust line-hybrid method is proposed for aero-heating computations. Two HLL-type schemes are combined by utilising lines constructed in the computational grid. The high-dissipation HLL scheme is exerted at the source of shock instability to suppress disturbance propagation, while the low-dissipation HLLC scheme is applied in the wall-normal direction. The resulting HLLC-Line scheme exhibits superior robustness and accuracy simultaneously compared to conventional individual or hybrid schemes. Accurate and smoothly distributed heat profiles can be obtained by the new scheme, including those in the stagnation or interaction regions. Numerical experiments validate that the line-hybrid method is highly effective in predicting aerodynamic heating involving complex configurations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of the experiment was to investigate the effects of mulberry leaves and other compound powders on the growth performance, digestive enzyme activity, intestinal flora, and serum immune indexes of Lingshan Ma chickens. A total of 200 healthy 56-day-old Lingshan Ma chickens with similar body weight were randomly divided into four groups with five replicates per group and 10 chickens per replicate. The chickens in the control group were fed a basal diet, and the chickens in the group 1, group 2, and group 3 were fed a basal diet supplemented with 2.0%, 1.0%, and 0.5% mulberry leaves and other compound powders, respectively. The experiment lasted for 42 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, the average daily gain in the group 2 increased by 12.65% (P<0.05), and the feed to gain ratio significantly decreased (P<0.05). The number and diarrhea rate of Escherichia coli and Salmonella in the experimental groups significantly decreased (P<0.05), the activity of duodenal trypsin, amylase, lipase, and cecal cellulase significantly increased (P<0.05), and the serum IgG content increased by 40.69%, 49.88%, and 25.72%, respectively (P<0.05). The concentrations of serum TP, ALB, and GLB significantly increased (P<0.05), and the A/G significantly decreased (P<0.05). The study indicates that mulberry leaves and other compound powders can increase the growth performance and digestive enzyme activity, decrease the diarrhea rate, improve the serum biochemical indexes and immune function of Lingshan Ma chickens, and the appropriate amount is 1.0%. Neutrophils have traditionally been considered to have characteristics of short half-life, specific nuclear morphology and clear particle content. In recent years, it has been found that neutrophils are characterized by heterogeneity and plasticity. Under different physiological and pathological states, neutrophils have phenotypes and functional diversity. Among them, low-density neutrophils (LDNs) are important population of neutrophils, which are composed of a mixed population of activated mature neutrophils and immature neutrophils. LDNs have pro-inflammatory and immunosuppressive functions, which can provide novel treatment strategies for diseases. Ring rot disease is one of the most common diseases in pear orchards. To better understand the physiology, biochemistry and autophagic changes of different pear varieties after Botryosphaeria dothidea (B.dothidea) infection, we evaluated eight different pear varieties for B. dothidea resistance. The susceptible varieties had larger spot diameters, lower chlorophyll contents and higher malondialdehyde contents than the resistant varieties. In disease-resistant varieties, reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels were relatively lower, while the ROS metabolism (antioxidant enzyme activities and the ascorbic acid–glutathione cycle) was also maintained at higher levels, and it induced a significant upregulation of related gene expression. In addition, autophagy, as an important evaluation index, was found to have more autophagic activity in disease-resistant varieties than in susceptible varieties, suggesting that pathogen infestation drives plants to increase autophagy to defend against pathogens. In summary, the results of this study reveal that different resistant pear varieties enhance plant resistance to the disease through a series of physio-biochemical changes and autophagic activity after inoculation with B. dothidea. This study provides clear physiological and biochemical traits for pear disease resistance selection, potential genetic resources and material basis for pear disease control and disease resistance, breeding and points out the direction for research on the mechanism of pear resistance to B. dothidea. Background: Familial gigantiform cementoma (FGC) is a rare tumor characterized by the early onset of multi‐quadrant fibro‐osseous lesions in the jaws, causing severe maxillofacial deformities. Its clinicopathological features overlap with those of other benign fibro‐osseous lesions. FGC eventually exhibits progressively rapid growth, but no suspected causative gene has been identified. Methods: In this study, three patients with FGC were recruited, and genomic DNA from the tumor tissue and peripheral blood was extracted for whole‐exome sequencing. Results: Results showed that all three patients harbored the heterozygous mutation c.1067G > A (p.Cys356Tyr) in the ANO5 gene. Furthermore, autosomal dominant mutations in ANO5 at this locus have been identified in patients with gnathodiaphyseal dysplasia (GDD) and are considered a potential causative agent, suggesting a genetic association between FGC and GDD. In addition, multifocal fibrous bone lesions with similar clinical presentations were detected, including five cases of florid cemento‐osseous dysplasia, five cases of polyostotic fibrous dysplasia, and eight cases of juvenile ossifying fibromas; however, none of them harbored mutations in the ANO5 gene. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that FGC may be an atypical variant of GDD, providing evidence for the feasibility of ANO5 gene testing as an auxiliary diagnostic method for complex cases with multiple quadrants. Background: This study aimed to develop alternative prediction equations to predict isokinetic muscle strength at 60°/s based on anthropometric characteristics, including body mass, height, age, and sex for young and middle-aged non-athlete populations. Methods: Three hundred and thirty-two healthy non-athletic participants (174 females, 158 males) between 20 and 59 years underwent a 60°/s isokinetic knee joint concentric contraction test. Forty people were randomly selected for retesting to assess the reliability of the isokinetic instrument. Multivariate linear regression was used to establish extension peak torque (EPT) and flexion peak torque (FPT) prediction equations. Sixty extra participants were used individually to validate the prediction equations, and Bland Altman plots were constructed to assess the agreement of predicted values with actual measurements. Results: The result demonstrated that the instrument we used has excellent reliability. The multivariable linear regression model showed that body mass, age, and sex were significant predictors of PT (EPT: Adjusted R2 = 0.804, p < 0.001; FPT: Adjusted R2 = 0.705, p < 0.001). Furthermore, the equations we established had higher prediction accuracy than those of Gross et al. and Harbo et al. Conclusion: The equations developed in this study provided relatively low bias, thus providing a more suitable reference value for the knee isokinetic strength of young and middle-aged non-athletes. Integrated modeling of headwater watersheds in mountain environments is often limited by the lack of hydrological characterization and monitoring data. For the No-Name watershed in the Medicine Bow Mountains in Wyoming (USA), this research integrates regional surface and subsurface hydrological and geophysical measurements to create three-dimensional integrated hydrological models with which interactions between surface water, soil water, and groundwater are elucidated. Data used to build and calibrate the integrated model include a digital elevation model (DEM), stream discharge at the outlet of the watershed, soil-moisture data, weather data, and geophysical surveys including seismic refraction, airborne resistivity, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Based on interpretation of geophysical measurements, subsurface hydrostratigraphy consists of a top unconsolidated layer, a middle layer of fractured granite and metamorphic bedrock, and a lower protolith. Given that both measurements and interpretations have uncertainty, a sensitivity analysis was carried out to evaluate conceptual model uncertainty, which suggests the following: (1) for predicting stream discharge at the No-Name outlet, the most influential parameters are the Manning coefficient, DEM, hydrostratigraphy and hydraulic conductivity, and land cover. Compared to a lower-resolution DEM, a LiDAR DEM can lead to more accurate predictions of the stream discharge and stream elevation profile. (2) For predicting soil moisture, the most influential parameters are hydrostratigraphy and the associated hydraulic conductivities and porosities. (3) Based on a calibration exercise, the likely values for subsurface hydraulic conductivity at No-Name are ~10–5 m/s (the unconsolidated layer), ~10–6 m/s (fractured bedrock), and ~10–6 m/s or lower (protolith). Integration of a vibration absorber and an energy harvester is a promising approach to achieve simultaneously vibration reductions and vibratory energy harvesting. The present work investigates random responses of a nonlinear energy sink (NES) combined with a giant magnetostrictive energy harvester (GMEH). When a structure is modeled as a one-degree-of-freedom oscillator subjected to a random excitation, the structure with the integrated NES-GMEH is governed by two simultaneous nonlinear stochastic differential equations coupled with a nonlinear algebraic equation. The Ferrari formula is applied to decouple the algebraic equations from the stochastic differential-algebraic equations. The resulting stochastic algebraic differential equations are transformed into the steady Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equations. A fourth finite difference scheme is used to solve numerically the FPK equations. The FPK equations based solutions are qualitatively verified via Monte Carlo simulations. The parametric effects on vibration suppression and electricity production are examined, where the electricity is indicated by the square expectations of voltage and power. The responses of the structure, the structure with the NES only and the structure with both NES-GMEH are compared under the same Gaussian white noise and system parameters. It is found that the integrated NES-GMEH system achieves the best vibration suppression. Simple Summary: Emotional contagion and social support are common phenomena in animals. The study evaluated whether pigs that did not observe the stimulus process could also perceive the negative emotions of their companions and provide social support. Here, the research compared differences in behavioral responses between treated individuals and naive companions by measuring the frequency/duration and latency of behaviors occurring in pigs under different test conditions to determine whether there were behavioral responses of the companions with emotional contagion to support the treated individuals. Whether or not the companions were aware of the source of the negative emotions of the treated pigs, they were able to respond to it in an appropriate emotional way and provide social support to the treated individual. This study expects to confirm the existence of emotional transmission in pigs from multiple perspectives and to provide theoretical references for improving animal welfare in livestock farming. A group that could directly observe (DO) and a group that could not directly observe (NO) were created based on whether or not their peers observed the treatment process, as the treated pig (TP) was treated with electrical shock and the companion pig (CP) either witnessed the treatment inflicted upon TP or not, and a third group was a control group, in which neither pig was stimulated. The behavioral responses of both the TPs and CPs were recorded to evaluate the emotional reaction. The results found that in both the DO and NO groups, the frequency of TP freezing was significantly higher than that of CP, and CP was significantly higher than that of the control group. Interestingly, although the social interaction responses of the CPs were not similar in the DO and NO groups, there were no significant differences between the behaviors of TPs in the DO and NO groups, except for nose–nose contact and a single approach to the partition, which allowed us to conclude that, whether or not the pigs directly observed the negative treatment, they were able to respond accordingly to fear and provide similar social support to their companions who were treated negatively. Background There has been controversy over whether to carry out online medical inquiries and electronic prescription for first-visit patients. While Internet hospitals have become crucial to ensure providing online diagnosis and prescription needs for first-visit COVID-positive patients. Objective We describe the results and advantages of online medical treatment during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak and analyse the results and advantages of online medical treatment. Methods Data were collected from the patients who received online medical inquiry services through the COVID-19 Special Section of our Internet hospital. The user demographic characteristics, user behaviour, clinical symptoms and medical records were collected. Baseline data of offline outpatient patients were also collected. Results A total of 16 173 online medical inquiries were included. The daily online outpatient service volume reached a peak of 2446 person-times. The median age was 29.92 years (SD 15.59), ranging from 20–39 years (n  = 8870, 54.84%). A total of 89.20% (n  = 14 426/16 173) patients had epidemic-related symptoms. Moreover, 23.35% of the people were diagnosed as COVID-19-positive through antigen or nucleic acid testing. Furthermore, 86.61% (14 008/16 173) of the patients visited our hospital for the first time or had no offline physical outpatient service record within the past 3 months. The demand for medical inquiries was mainly for drug dispensing, followed by medication guidance and disease diagnosis. And 2.07% (334/16 173) of the patients needed to go to the offline hospital for further treatment. Conclusion The service model of the COVID-19 Special Section based on Internet hospitals provided the public with the necessary medical support during the COVID-19 outbreak. It extends hospital stay, increases the mortality rate and are heavy burdens to the family and society. Accumulating research has indicated that overactivation of pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasomes is related to POCD andplays a critical role in activating pro-inflammatory cytokines. According to existing studies, indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) is potently up-regulated by inflammatory factors, tryptophan in brain is mainly catalyzed by IDO to kynurenine (KYN), KYN metabolism may contribute to the development of depressive disorder and memory deficits. Hence, this study elucidated whether IDO-Kynurenine pathway mediates NLRP3 inflammasome activation-induced postoperative cognitive impairment in aged mice.POCD model was established in aged C57BL/6J mice by exploratory laparotomy under isoflurane anesthesia. Learning and memory were determined using Morris water maze.The data showed that IDO and kynurenine aminotransferase-II (KAT-II) mRNA in hippocampus was up-regulated, and NLRP3, caspase recruitment domain (ASC), interleukin-1b (IL-1b) and IDO overexpressed, KYN levels increased after anesthesia and surgery. NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor (MCC950) reversed NLRP3, ASC, IL-1b and IDO overexpression, and the elevation of KYN levels. To clarify the role of IDO-Kynurenine pathway in postoperative cognitive impairment, IDO inhibitor (1-methyl-Ltryptophan 1-MT) reduced the elevation of KYN and kynurenic acid (KYNA) levels, reduction of tryptophan (TRP), as well as improved learning and memory abilities. Rare genetic skeletal disorders (GSDs) remain the major problem in orthopedics and result in significant morbidity in patients, but the causes are highly diverse. Precise molecular diagnosis will benefit management and genetic counseling. This study aims to share the diagnostic experience on a three-generation Chinese family with co-occurrence of spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia (SED) and X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH), and evaluate the therapeutic effects of two third-generation siblings. The proband, his younger brother, and mother presented with short stature, skeletal problems, and hypophosphatemia. His father, paternal grandfather, and aunt also manifested short stature and skeletal deformities. Whole exome sequencing (WES) of proband–brother–parents initially only found the proband and his younger brother had a pathogenic c.2833G > A(p.G945S) variant in the COL2A1 gene inherited from their father. Re-analysis of WES uncovered the proband and his younger brother also harbored a pathogenic ex.12 del variant in the PHEX gene transmitted from their mother. Sanger sequencing, agarose gel electrophoresis, and quantitative polymerase chain reaction proved these results. The proband and his younger brother were confirmed to have a paternally inherited SED and a maternally inherited XLH. During a 2.8-year follow-up, these two siblings remained short stature and hypophosphatemia, but their radiographic signs and serum bone alkaline phosphatase levels were improved with treatment of oral phosphate and calcitriol. Our study presents the first report of co-occurrence of SED and XLH, shows the possibility that two different rare GSDs co-exist in a single patient, and alerts clinicians and geneticists to be cautious about this condition. Achieving on‐demand control of responsive behaviors of photochromic molecules is important for advanced photonic applications, but it remains a challenge. In this work, a triphenylethylene‐based molecule, 5‐(2,2‐bis(4‐fluorophenyl)vinyl)‐5″‐methyl‐2,2″‐bipyridine (1), which can undergo open‐to‐closed isomerization under 365 nm irradiation, is designed and synthesized. Importantly, on‐demand acceleration or deceleration of photoisomerization rate over a wide range (kUV = 0.00584–0.06299 s−1) is achieved by coordination of 1 with different metal salts. Furthermore, more precise manipulation of the photoisomerization rate is achieved by changing the counterions of the 1‐based metal complex. Eventually, taking advantage of distinctly different photoisomerization rates of 1 and its corresponding metal complexes, high‐level irradiation time‐dependent information encryption and anticounterfeiting applications have been demonstrated. This paper concerns the use of asymptotic expansions for the efficient solving of forward and inverse problems involving a nonlinear singularly perturbed time-dependent reaction–diffusion–advection equation. By using an asymptotic expansion with the local coordinates in the transition-layer region, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a smooth solution with a sharp transition layer for a 3D partial differential equation. Moreover, with the help of asymptotic expansion, a simplified model is derived for the corresponding inverse source problem, which is close to the original inverse problem over the entire region except for a narrow transition layer. We show that such simplification does not reduce the accuracy of the inversion results when the measurement data contain noise. Based on this simpler inversion model, an asymptotic-expansion regularization algorithm is proposed for efficiently solving the inverse source problem in the 3D case. The massive use of surgical masks around the world has exacerbated plastic pollution. Efficient treatment of these surgical masks is urgently needed. Supercritical water degradation has been considered as a promising method for treating surgical masks. In this study, analysis of the products revealed that the production rate of H 2 and olefins from surgical masks with nose clips treated by supercritical water were significantly higher than that without nose clips. Therefore, it was concluded that Fe in the nose clip could catalyze the dehydrogenation of alkanes and inhibit the aromatization of cycloalkanes and alkenes compounds in the supercritical water treatment process of waste surgical masks. However, the ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) hot melt adhesive in the surgical masks degraded at a low temperature, producing ketone compounds that negatively impacted the quality of liquid oil. Reverse osmosis (RO) membranes have been widely used in the field of membrane separation. However, most of the commercial RO membranes are fabricated based on a polysulphones- or polyethersulfone-modified polyethylene glycol terephthalate (PET) support, which are thick and exhibit poor solvent resistance. In this study, polyethylene (PE) battery membranes without any hydrophilic modification were directly used to prepare PE-RO membranes. The structures of the products were confirmed via attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. The resulting RO membrane prepared with 0.05 wt.% of trimesoyl chloride and 2 wt.% of m-phenylenediamine exhibited a water flux of 12.61 L m−2 h−1 with a desalination (NaCl) rate of 98.6%. With the continuous development of human life and society, the medical field is constantly improving. However, modern medicine still faces many limitations, including challenging and previously unsolvable problems. In these cases, artificial intelligence (AI) can provide solutions. The research and application of generative adversarial networks (GAN) are a clear example. While most researchers focus on image augmentation, there are few one-dimensional data augmentation examples. The radiomics feature extracted from RT and CT images is one-dimensional data. As far as we know, we are the first to apply the WGAN-GP algorithm to generate radiomics data in the medical field. In this paper, we input a portion of the original real data samples into the model. The model learns the distribution of the input data samples and generates synthetic data samples with similar distribution to the original real data, which can solve the problem of obtaining annotated medical data samples. We have conducted experiments on the public dataset Heart Disease Cleveland and the private dataset. Compared with the traditional method of Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) and common GAN for data augmentation, our method has significantly improved the AUC and SEN values under different data proportions. Background: We provide an umbrella review of the reported polysomnographic changes in patients with neuropsychiatric diseases compared with healthy controls. Methods: An electronic literature search was conducted in EMBASE, MEDLINE, All EBM databases, CINAHL, and PsycINFO. Meta-analyses of case–control studies investigating the polysomnographic changes in patients with neuropsychiatric diseases were included. For each meta-analysis, we estimated the summary effect size using random effects models, the 95% confidence interval, and the 95% prediction interval. We also estimated between-study heterogeneity, evidence of excess significance bias, and evidence of small-study effects. The levels of evidence of polysomnographic changes in neuropsychiatric diseases were ranked as follows: not significant, weak, suggestive, highly suggestive, or convincing. Results: We identified 27 articles, including 465 case–control studies in 27 neuropsychiatric diseases. The levels of evidence of polysomnographic changes in neuropsychiatric diseases were highly suggestive for increased sleep latency and decreased sleep efficiency (SE) in major depressive disorder (MDD), increased N1 percentage, and decreased N2 percentage, SL and REML in narcolepsy, and decreased rapid eye movement (REM) sleep percentage in Parkinson's disease (PD). The suggestive evidence decreased REM latency in MDD, decreased total sleep time and SE in PD, and decreased SE in posttraumatic stress disorder and in narcolepsy. Conclusions: The credibility of evidence for sleep characteristics in 27 neuropsychiatric diseases varied across polysomnographic variables and diseases. When considering the patterns of altered PSG variables, no two diseases had the same pattern of alterations, suggesting that specific sleep profiles might be important dimensions for defining distinct neuropsychiatric disorders. This study aimed to estimate the healthcare costs of kidney transplantation compared with dialysis using a propensity score approach to handle potential treatment selection bias. We included 693 adult wait-listed patients who started renal replacement therapy between 1998 and 2012 in Region Skåne and Stockholm County Council in Sweden. Healthcare costs were measured as annual and monthly healthcare expenditures. In order to match the data structure of the kidney transplantation group, a hypothetical kidney transplant date of persons with dialysis were generated for each dialysis patient using the one-to-one nearest-neighbour propensity score matching method. Applying propensity score matching and inverse probability-weighted regression adjustment models, the potential outcome means and average treatment effect were estimated. The estimated healthcare costs in the first year after kidney transplantation were €57,278 (95% confidence interval (CI) €54,467–60,088) and €47,775 (95% CI €44,313–51,238) for kidney transplantation and dialysis, respectively. Thus, kidney transplantation leads to higher healthcare costs in the first year by €9,502 (p = 0.066) compared to dialysis. In the following two years, kidney transplantation is cost saving [€36,342 (p < 0.001) and €44,882 (p < 0.001)]. For patients with end-stage renal disease, kidney transplantation reduces healthcare costs compared with dialysis over three years after kidney transplantation, even though the healthcare costs are somewhat higher in the first year. Relating the results of existing estimates of costs and health benefits of kidney transplantation shows that kidney transplantation is clearly cost-effective compared to dialysis in Sweden. This study explores the polysomnographic differences between amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients and healthy controls. An electronic literature search was conducted in MEDLINE, EMBASE, All EBM databases, Web of Science, and CNKI from inception to Oct 2022. Meta-analyses revealed significant reductions in sleep efficiency, total sleep time, N2%, slow wave sleep percentage, minimum SpO 2 , and mean SpO 2 , and increases in wake time after sleep onset and N1%, sleep latency, rapid eye movement sleep latency, time spent with SpO 2 < 90%, oxygen desaturation index, and apnea hypopnea index in ALS patients compared with controls. Sensitivity analyses showed that some heterogeneity was explained by excluding patients taking medications impacting sleep, whether studies employed an adaptation night, and the use of different PSG scoring rules. Significant polysomnographic abnormalities are present in ALS. Our findings underscore the need for a comprehensive PSG assessment of sleep changes in ALS patients. Narrowband‐response organic photodetectors with high responsivity are widely demanded in areas of substance detection, industry automation, smart wearable devices, etc. Photomultiplication‐type organic photodetectors (PM‐OPDs) with high responsivity usually have a broadband photoresponse due to the broadband absorption nature of the photoactive materials. In this work, effort is made to develop a high‐performance filterless narrowband PM‐OPD using the charge injection narrowing (CIN) effect. A 0.8 nm thick Al2O3 interlayer is used to mitigate the dark current density (JD) in the narrowband PM‐OPD, prepared using a 2.8 µm thick blend layer of P3HT:[6,6]‐phenyl‐C70‐butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM), achieving a peak responsivity of 1334 A W−1 at 650 nm, with a full‐width at half‐maximum of 40 nm. The narrowband PM‐OPD also possesses an impressive high specific detectivity of 9.73 × 1013 Jones. It is shown that the use of a 0.8 nm thick Al2O3 interlayer significantly suppresses the JD, creating a high energy barrier at the anode/photoactive interface and achieving a narrowband photoresponse behavior due to the CIN effect. Biotinidase (BTD) deficiency (OMIM 253260) is an autosomal recessively inherited metabolic disorder resulting from deficient activity of the BTD enzyme, which can cleave and release biotin from a variety of biotin-dependent carboxylases, and is therefore recognized as a tool to recycle biotin. Being a condition caused by variations on BTD gene with a consequence of free biotin shortage, BTD deficiency may impair the activity of biotin-dependent carboxylases, and thus bring about a buildup of potentially toxic compounds in the body, primarily 3-hydroxyisovaleryl-carnitine in plasma as well as 3-hydroxyisovaleric acid in urine. The phenotype of BTD deficiency may vary dramatically, from asymptomatic adults to severe neurological anomalies, even death in infancy. In the present study, we reported on a 5-month-old boy, whose parents sought for medical consultation in our clinic for their son due to his loss of consciousness, repeated tetany, and motor retardation. Detailed clinical features included severe psychomotor retardation, hypotonia, as well as failure to thrive. The brain MRI at 12 months showed cerebellar hypoplasia and multiple foci of leukodystrophy. The result of antiepileptic therapy was not satisfying. During hospitalization, BTD deficiency was suggested by elevated concentration of 3-hydroxyisovaleryl-carnitine in the blood spots and 3-hydroxyisovaleric acid in the urine. The child was then diagnosed with profound BTD deficiency based on the above findings and low BTD enzyme activity. Subsequent mutational analysis revealed a novel homozygous variant, c.637_637delC (p.H213Tfs*51) in exon 4 of BTD gene in the proband, which was recognized as a further support to the diagnosis. Therefore, biotin treatment was started immediately, eventually with satisfactory outcomes achieved in terms of prevention of epileptic seizure, performance in deep tendon reflexes, and improvement of muscular hypotonia, but unfortunately, the therapy failed to show any evident effects on poor feeding and intellectual disability. This painful lesson suggests that newborn screening for inherited metabolic diseases is essential for early identification and treatment, which should have been performed in this case to avoid this tragedy. As Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) progresses rapidly, there is a growing demand for precise prediction of aerodynamic heating in hypersonic flows, which remains a considerable challenge. In this paper, an accurate and robust line-hybrid method is proposed for aero-heating computations. Two HLL-type schemes are combined by utilising lines constructed in the computational grid. The high-dissipation HLL scheme is exerted at the source of shock instability to suppress disturbance propagation, while the low-dissipation HLLC scheme is applied in the wall-normal direction. The resulting HLLC-Line scheme exhibits superior robustness and accuracy simultaneously compared to conventional individual or hybrid schemes. Accurate and smoothly distributed heat profiles can be obtained by the new scheme, including those in the stagnation or interaction regions. Although digital cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia (D-CBTI) has been shown to be a viable treatment for insomnia, lacking flexibility of response and direct practitioner-to-patient contact and comfort potentially limited its efficacy. Integrating personalized telephone sessions into D-CBTI may overcome these obstacles, potentially providing additional clinical benefit to chronic insomnia patients. We evaluate the clinical effectiveness of telephone plus D-CBTI (TD-CBTI) versus D-CBTI alone. Insomnia patients were selected consecutively from the Sleep Medicine Center, West China Hospital from March 2020 to February 2021. Insomnia was defined by Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders criteria with symptoms lasting ≥3 months. Standard D-CBTI was administered through the APP "SUMIAN," which provided fully automated, interactive and standard CBTI over six weekly treatments. TD-CBTI added weekly 10–15 min personalized telephone-based sessions to D-CBTI. One hundred and seven patients received D-CBTI and 465 patients received TD-CBTI. Pre-to posttreatment differences of ISI and most sleep diary reported sleep indexes were comparable between groups. However, TD-CBTI patients showed significantly increased odds of SE based remission (167%, OR = 2.67, 95% CI 1.34–5.23), and significantly increased odds of reduction of sleep medications (352%, OR = 4.52, 95% CI 1.27–10.05). Provide reference data on which EQ-5D-3L value set should be used with Chinese patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD); assess differences in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) based on the use of the Chinese (from 2014 and 2018), the UK, and the Japanese value sets; and examine differences in utility scores for key preventive influencing factors. Data from 373 patients with CKD recruited for a cross-sectional multicenter HRQoL survey were used. Differences among utility scores based on the four value sets were determined using Wilcoxon signed rank test. Intra-class correlation coefficient (ICCs) and Bland–Altman plots were used to evaluate consistency among utility scores and Tobit regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of utility scores. There were significant differences between utility scores based on the four value sets, with the Chinese 2018 value set yielding the highest utility (0.957). ICCs between the value sets for China 2014, the UK, and Japan were all greater than 0.9, whereas the ICCs between the value sets for China 2018 and the other three were all less than 0.7. The influencing factors of utility scores included CKD stages, age, education level, city, and primary renal disease. This was the first study to report findings on the health utility of patients with CKD based on the two Chinese EQ-5D-3L value sets. Overall, the Chinese value sets performed similarly to the other two value sets (UK and Japan) commonly used in the Chinese population; however, value sets for different countries were not interchangeable. In Chinese contexts, the two value sets for China were recommended and the choice of which one should consider whether the value set of choice was established with a sample that is consistent with the targeted population. Heating is a knotty factor contributing to device degradation of flexible organic solar cells (FOSCs), and thermal regulation plays a crucial role in the realization of long operational lifetime. Herein, a passive cooling strategy for stable FOSCs is proposed by boosting the optical‐thermal radiative transfer to reduce the insufficient thermal dissipation and the elevated temperature caused by irradiation‐induced heating, while retaining their flexibility and portability. A spectrally selective coupling structure consisting of subwavelength hemisphere pattern and distributed Bragg reflector is integrated into FOSCs to collectively enhance out‐coupling of infrared radiation and limit near‐infrared absorption‐induced heat generation, leading to a reduced heat power intensity of 292.5 W cm−2 and the decreased working temperature by 9.6 °C under outdoor sunlight irradiation. The D18:Y6:PC71BM‐based FOSCs achieve a power conversion efficiency of over 17% with a prolonged T80 lifetime as long as one year under real outdoor working conditions. NASA is currently planning return missions to the Moon for further exploration and research. The Moon is covered by a layer of potentially reactive fine dust, which could pose a toxicological risk of exposure to explorers. To assess this risk, we exposed rats to lunar dust (LD) that was collected during the Apollo14 mission. Rats were exposed to respirable sizes of LD at concentrations of 0, 2.1, 6.8, 20.8, or 60.6 mg/m3 for 4 weeks. At thirteen weeks after exposure, we assessed 44,000 gene transcripts and found the expression of 614 genes with known functions were significantly altered in the rats exposed to the 2 higher concentrations of LD, whereas few changes in gene expression were detected in the group exposed to the lowest concentration of LD. Many of the significant changes in gene expression involved genes known to be associated with inflammation or fibrosis. Four genes encoding pro-inflammatory chemokines were analyzed further for all the sampling points at 1 day, and 1, 4, and 13 weeks after the 4-week dust exposure, using real-time polymerase chain reaction. The expression of these genes was altered in a dose- and time-dependent manner and persistently changed in the lungs of the rats exposed to the two higher concentrations of LD. Their expressions are consistent with changes we detected in pulmonary toxicity biomarkers and pathology in these animals during a previous study. Because Apollo-14 LD contains common mineral oxides similar to an Arizona volcanic ash, besides revealing the toxicity of LD, our findings could help elucidate the genomic and molecular mechanisms involved in pulmonary toxicity induced by terrestrial mineral dusts. Introduction: Fetal unguarded tricuspid valve orifice (UTVO) is characterized by a complete or partial absence of the tricuspid valvular tissue or sub-valvular apparatus and only case reports are available at present. We report a UTVO diagnosed by fetal autopsy. Case report: An 18-week fetus was diagnosed by prenatal ultrasound with tricuspid dysplasia with 'to-and-fro' flow across the right-sided heart. Fetal autopsy showed partial agenesis of tricuspid valve instead of valvular dysplasia. This supported a diagnosis of UTVO. Conclusion: Fetal autopsy can differentiate UTVO form other valve abnormalities. The 'to-and-fro' flow pattern across the right atrioventricular orifice could be used to differentiate UTVO from other valve dysplasias on echocardiography. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives: To evaluate effects of a novel auxiliary irrigation strategy, proanthocyanidin (PA) + carboxymethyl chitosan/amorphous calcium phosphate (CMC/ACP) nanocomplexes, on maintaining the organic–inorganic structural integrity and hence optimizing the adhesion strength of root dentin. Materials and methods: Dentin specimens (n = 150) were prepared and subjected to the classical irrigating strategy with or without PA and CMC/ACP. The ultrastructure and biomechanical behaviour of dentin were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscope, respectively. Forty single root-canal premolars were employed for push-out bond strength testing. Besides, the antibacterial effects against Enterococcus faecalis were evaluated with confocal laser scanning microscopy. Statistical differences were verified with one-way ANOVA and Tukey's post-tests. Results: The organic–inorganic structural integrity of root dentin was repaired with the synergetic use of PA and CMC/ACP. Correspondingly, the bond stability between the root canal wall and the AH-Plus sealer was significantly reinforced (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, the tissue biomechanical properties and antibacterial behaviour were enhanced compared to that of control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The synergistic utilization of PA and CMC/ACP can preserve the structural integrity of root dentin, contributing to optimizing the sealing effects of root canal. Moreover, the novel irrigation strategy demonstrated a favourable antimicrobial activity. Clinical relevance: The combination of PA and CMC/ACP can serve as a promising auxiliary irrigation strategy to optimize the outcomes of chemical preparation, enhance the sealing effects of root canal and hence improve the success rate of treatment. Zinc–bromine redox flow battery (ZBFB) is one of the most promising candidates for large-scale energy storage due to its high energy density, low cost, and long cycle life. However, numerical simulation studies on ZBFB are limited. The effects of operational parameters on battery performance and battery design strategy remain unclear. Herein, a 2D transient model of ZBFB is developed to reveal the effects of electrolyte flow rate, electrode thickness, and electrode porosity on battery performance. The results show that higher positive electrolyte flow rates can improve battery performance; however, increasing electrode thickness or porosity causes a larger overpotential, thus deteriorating battery performance. On the basis of these findings, a genetic algorithm was performed to optimize the batter performance considering all the operational parameters. It is found that the battery energy efficiency can reach 79.42% at a current density of 20   mA   cm − 2 . Accelerated regularization algorithms for ill-posed problems have received much attention from researchers of inverse problems since the 1980s. The current optimal theoretical results indicate that some regularization algorithms, e.g. the ν -method and the Nesterov method, are such that under conventional source conditions the optimal convergence rates can be obtained with approximately the square root of the iterations of those needed for the benchmark (i.e. the Landweber iteration). In this paper, we propose a new class of regularization algorithms with parameter n, called the Acceleration Regularization of order n (AR n ). Theoretically, we prove that, for an arbitrary number n > - 1 , AR n can attach the optimal convergence rates with approximately the n + 1 root of the iterations needed for the benchmark method. Moreover, unlike the existing accelerated regularization algorithms, AR n s have no saturation restriction. Some symplectic iterative regularizing algorithms are developed for the numerical realization of AR n . Finally, numerical experiments with integral equations and inverse problems in partial differential equations demonstrate that, at least for n ≤ 2 , the numerical behavior of AR n matches our theoretical findings, also breaking the practical acceleration capability of all existing regularization algorithms. The spatial and spectral information contained in the hyperspectral image (HSI) make it widely used in many fields. However, the sharp increase of HSI data brings enormous pressure to the data storage and real‐time transmission. The research shows that hyperspectral compressive sensing (HCS) breaks through the bottleneck of the Nyquist sampling theorem, which can relieve the massive pressure on data storage and real‐time transmission. Existing HCS methods try to design advanced compression sampling matrix or reconstruction algorithms, but cannot connect the two through a unified framework. To further improve the image reconstruction quality, a novel codec space‐spectrum joint dense residual network (CDS2‐DResN) is proposed. The CDS2‐DResN is divided into block compression sampling part and reconstruction part. For block compression sampling, coded convolutional layer (CCL) is leveraged to compress and sample HSI. For measurements reconstruction, deconvolution layer is first leveraged to initially reconstruct HSI, and then build a space‐spectrum joint network to refine the initial reconstructed HSI. Moreover, the CCL and reconstruction network are optimized via a unified framework, which can simplify the pre‐processing and post‐processing process of HCS. Extensive experiments have shown that CDS2‐DResN has an excellent HCS reconstruction effect at measurement rates 0.25, 0.10, 0.04 and 0.01, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
