3. Anti-degenerated UWB-LiDAR Localization for Automatic Road Roller in Tunnel

Abstract

The automatic road roller, as a popular type of construction robot, has attracted much interest from both the industry and the research community in recent years. However, when it comes to tunnels where the degeneration issues are prone to happen, it is still a challenging problem to provide an accurate positioning result for the robot. In this paper, we aim to deal with this problem by fusing LiDAR and UWB measurements based on optimization. In the proposed localization method, the directions of non-degeneration will be constrained and the covariance of UWB reconstruction will be introduced to improve the accuracy of localization. Apart from these, a method that can extract the feature of the inner wall of tunnels to assist positioning is also presented in this paper. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, three experiments with real road roller were carried out and the results show that our method can achieve better performance than the existing methods and can be applied to automatic road roller working inside tunnels. Finally, we discuss the feasibility of deploying the system in real applications and make several recommendations., Comment: This article needs withdrawing for the reason of some technical issues including that the method of obtaining the ground truth in Section V was not rigorous enough, and we found that Lidar sensor was affected by external force during the experiments, which will lead to the inaccuracy of the results

Abstract

On the basis of self-developed cigarette ash analysis software, through the calculation of the cigarette ash index, the ash condensation ability of the different types of cigarettes was analyzed in this paper. The results show that the cigarette ash index has the advantages of simple calculation, quick response of ash analysis software, small coefficient of variation between different cigarette ash condensation index, among different samples there is no obvious little difference in ash condensation index. Therefore, the cigarette ash condensation index can be used as an important index and effective means to measure the performance of the cigarette ash, meanwhile, the index can be applied to the comprehensive assessment of the ash condensation performance of the cigarette paper.

Abstract

The moisture content of cigarette tobacco directly affects the smoking quality and storage period of cigarettes. The influence of the sealing property of cigarette packets on the moisture of the cigarette was studied, and a solution to improve the sealing property of the small package was provided. At the same time, the standard boundary for judging the packaging tightness of cigarette packets is calculated. Under different temperature and humidity environment, the air flow rate of the same packing box is higher than that of the 30-40mL/min interval. Improvement measures were applied to determine the packing seal value index of soft package cigarettes under certain conditions

Abstract

Utilize the prevalence, associated factors and population distribution of AD and MCI among residents of the Hubei province aged 60 years or over to prove that elderly people who study and communicate with others, take part in regular physical exercise and choose a healthy lifestyle, will prevent or slow the decline in cognitive ability. If elderly people study and communicate with others, take part in regular physical exercise and choose a healthy lifestyle, can prevent or slow the decline in cognitive ability. A cross-sectional study was used for the recruitment of subjects. The screened patients with AD and MCI were then selected as patients in a case–control study. A total of 4314 subjects were recruited into the study. The prevalence of AD and MCI was 1.44% and 10.04%, respectively. The prevalence of AD and MCI differed significantly as a function of age and gender (p < 0.05). The preventative factors for AD and MCI, separately, included a happy marriage (OR = 0.69, 95%CI: 0.36–1.35) and higher education (OR = 0.65, 95%CI: 0.55–0.78). The risk factors for AD and MCI, separately, included infrequent participation in social activities (OR = 1.00, 95%CI: 0.60–1.66) and infrequent communication with children (OR = 1.35, 95%CI: 1.09–1.69). The prevalence of AD for people aged 60 or over in the Hubei province was lower than the national average of 3.06%. The prevalence of MCI was within the national range (5.2–23.4%). The influencing factors of AD and MCI were associated with the participants' social connections, lifestyle behaviors, somatic diseases and so on. The elderly people who study and communicate with others, take part in regular physical exercise and choose a healthy lifestyle will prevent or slow the decline in cognitive ability. Abstract

Background The longitudinal antigen-specific immunity in COVID-19 convalescents is crucial for long-term protection upon individual re-exposure to SARS-CoV-2, and even more pivotal for ultimately achieving population-level immunity. We conducted this cohort study to better understand the features of immune memory in individuals with different disease severities at 1 year post–disease onset. Methods We conducted a systematic antigen-specific immune evaluation in 101 COVID-19 convalescents, who had asymptomatic, mild, moderate, or severe disease, through 2 visits at months 6 and 12 after disease onset. The SARS-CoV-2–specific antibodies, comprising neutralizing antibody (NAb), immunoglobulin (Ig) G, and IgM, were assessed by mutually corroborated assays (ie, neutralization, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay [ELISA], and microparticle chemiluminescence immunoassay [MCLIA]). Meanwhile, T-cell memory against SARS-CoV-2 spike, membrane, and nucleocapsid proteins was tested through enzyme-linked immunospot assay (ELISpot), intracellular cytokine staining, and tetramer staining-based flow cytometry, respectively. Results SARS-CoV-2–specific IgG antibodies, and NAb, can persist among >95% of COVID-19 convalescents from 6 to 12 months after disease onset. At least 19/71 (26%) of COVID-19 convalescents (double positive in ELISA and MCLIA) had detectable circulating IgM antibody against SARS-CoV-2 at 12 months post–disease onset. Notably, numbers of convalescents with positive SARS-CoV-2–specific T-cell responses (≥1 of the SARS-CoV-2 antigen S1, S2, M, and N proteins) were 71/76 (93%) and 67/73 (92%) at 6 and 12 months, respectively. Furthermore, both antibody and T-cell memory levels in the convalescents were positively associated with disease severity. Abstract

The safety of cigarette filter rods directly affects the safety of cigarette. In this paper, the safety of polylactic acid (PLA) tow as filter rod in cigarette safety was evaluated by the micronucleus rate of animal cells, the mutation test of Salmonella typhimurium in cigarette smoke condensate (CSC) and the acute toxicity test of cigarette smoke condensate (CSC). The results showed that, the acute toxicity and micronucleus increase of animals were not observed under the test dose of PLA tow and PLA glue, and there was no obvious mutagenicity of PLA tow and PLA glue to Salmonella typhimurium. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the cytotoxicity, mutagenicity and micronucleus of Salmonella typhimurium between the conventional and PLA filter rod cigarettes.

Abstract

To keep the processing standards unchanged, the modified PLA cigarette filter rods with different tow specifications (3.3Y/40000, 3.6Y/45000) and different draw resistances (3800Pa, 4200Pa, 4600Pa) were selected for the test, and the cigarette samples were tested and analyzed. The results showed that the tar, nicotine, CO and moisture content of 3.6Y/45000 tow cigarette decreased, but the total particles and the number of puff counts were almost the same. With the increase of glycerol triacetate, the tar emission decreased gradually, the CO total particulates and nicotine emission remained basically unchanged, and the moisture content of smoke increased gradually, indicating that the appropriate increase of glycerol triacetate application may be conducive to improving the sensory comfort of cigarette.
