Abstract

Events represent a tipping point that affects users' opinions and vary depending upon their popularity from local to international. Indeed, social media offer users platforms to express their opinions and commitments to events that attract them. However, owing to the volume of data, users are encountering a difficulty to accede to the preferred events according to their features that are stored in their social network profiles. To surmount this limitation, multiple event recommendation systems appeared. Nevertheless, these systems use a limited number of event dimensions and user's features. Besides, they consider users' features stored in a single user's profile and disregard the semantic concept. In this research, an approach for multi-dimensional event recommendation is set forward to recommend events to users resting on several event dimensions (engagement, location, topic, time and popularity) and some user's features (demographic data, position and user's/friend's interests) stored in multi-user's profiles by considering the semantic relationships between user's features, specifically user's interests. The performance of our approach was assessed using error rate measurements (mean absolute error, root mean squared error and cross-validation). Experiment that results on real-world event data sets confirmed that our approach recommends events that fit the user more than the previous approaches with the lowest error rate values. Abstract

International audience; L’utilisateur social est caractérisé par son activité sociale comme le partage d’informations et l’établissement de relations avec d’autres utilisateurs. Avec l’évolution du contenu social, l’utilisateur a besoin d’informations plus précises qui reflètent ses intérêts. Nous nous concentrons sur la détection des intérêts de l’utilisateur qui sont des éléments clés pour améliorer l’adaptation (recommandation, personnalisation, etc.). L’originalité de notre approche est basée sur la proposition d’une nouvelle technique de détection des intérêts qui analyse le réseau des relations d’un utilisateur et aussi la précision de leurs comportements d’annotation dans le but de sélectionner les tags qui reflètent réellement le contenu des ressources. L’approche proposée a été testée et évaluée sur la base de données sociales Delicious. Pour l’évaluation, nous comparons le résultat issu de notre approche utilisant le comportement d’annotation des personnes proches (le réseau égocentrique ou les communautés) avec les informations connues de l’utilisateur (son profil). Une évaluation comparative avec une approche classique (basée sur les tags) de détection des intérêts montre que l’approche proposée fournit de meilleurs résultats.

Abstract

De nos jours, le volume de données disponibles dans les systèmes d'information des entreprises devient tellement important que l'utilisateur se trouve face à une masse d'information difficile à appréhender. Cette masse d'information induit souvent une surcharge cognitive chez l'utilisateur et rend difficile l'accès à l'information répondant à ses besoins. L'accès aux données pertinentes, adaptées aux besoins de l'utilisateur, est un problème qui reste encore à résoudre. Ceci est d'autant plus vrai dans le contexte de documents semi-structurés. Dans ce cadre très général, cette thèse se situe dans le contexte de l'adaptation à l'utilisateur de documents légataires et orientés données existants dans une entreprise lors de leur consultation. Il s'agit d'améliorer le positionnement sur l'information susceptible de répondre aux besoins en information (intérêts, préférences, etc.). Nous avons restreint l'étude à l'adaptation de résultats lors de l'interrogation de documents semi-structurés XML. Compte tenu de ce contexte, à partir d'un état de l'art sur les documents semi-structurés et sur les systèmes hypermédia adaptatifs, nous avons construit notre contribution. Nous avons, tout d'abord, proposé une architecture qui met en place un ensemble de mécanismes pour réaliser l'adaptation du contenu et de la présentation de documents semi-structurés. Ensuite, nous avons étendu le modèle de systèmes hypermédia adaptatifs MRM (Munich Reference Model) afin de proposer un modèle de référence qui met en oeuvre les modèles document, utilisateur, requête, et adaptation. Le modèle d'adaptation définit des mécanismes utilisant le profil utilisateur pour adapter les documents retournés à un utilisateur au cours d'un processus de consultation. Ces mécanismes mettent en oeuvre : - L'adaptation du contenu par un ordonnancement du résultat (ensemble de documents) répondant à la demande de l'utilisateur en fonction de ses intérêts. L'objectif est de favoriser le positionnement de l'utilisate, Nowadays, the number of data in the information systems of the enterprises becomes so important that the user is confronted to a mass of information difficult to apprehend. The access to the relevant data, adapted to the user's needs, is a problem which still remains to be solved. This is all the more true in the context of semi-structured documents. Within this very general framework, this thesis is in the context of the adaptation to the user of data oriented legatees documents existing in an enterprise during their consultation. It is a question of improving the positioning on information likely to meet the requirements in information (interests, preferences, etc). We restricted the study to with the adaptation of results at the time of the interrogation of semi-structured XML documents. Taking this context into account, starting from a state of the art on the semi-structured documents and the adaptive hypermedia systems, we built our contribution. Firstly, we proposed an architecture which sets up a whole of mechanisms to carry out the adaptation of the contents and presentation of semi-structured documents. Then, we extended the model of MRM (Munich Reference Model) adaptive hypermedia systems in order to propose a model of reference which implements the models document, user, query, and adaptation models. The model of adaptation defines mechanisms using the user profile to adapt the documents turned over to a user during a process of consultation.
