Objectives: Telemedicine has emerged as a crucial tool in addressing public health requirements, particularly during a pandemic. This aligns with the third Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) objective of ensuring healthy lives and promoting well‐being for all ages. The current generation demonstrates a greater proficiency in modern technology, prompting researchers to investigate their views and behavior trends in telemedicine. Methods: This research is aimed at examining the telemedicine adoption patterns of Generation Y and Generation Z by dividing them into two groups. Study Group 1 is comprised of those who have known modern technology but have yet to gain experience in using telemedicine. Meanwhile, Study Group 2 is comprised of those who had used telemedicine services. Utilizing structural equation model (SEM) analysis, this research investigates the magnitude of influence exerted by various determinants on an individual's tendency to utilize telemedicine. Results: Findings from both study groups indicate that younger generations have positive attitudes towards telemedicine, significantly influencing their willingness to use telemedicine. Furthermore, the level of readiness for change emerges as a crucial factor in determining the degree of affective commitment to change, continuance commitment to change, and normative commitment to change. In addition, the participants' affective experience state significantly influences all three dimensions of commitment to change. Conclusion: The results suggest the importance of fostering a positive and pragmatic understanding of telemedicine among young people. This can be achieved by encouraging the use of telemedicine services and fully adopting the shift to telemedicine. Therefore, it is crucial to prioritize the development of a positive view towards telemedicine, provide excellent service experiences, and promote social flexibility to attract a large user base, especially among the younger population. This study aims to evaluate and analyze students' perceptions of multicultural education at IAIN Manado, focusing on how well these principles are implemented in practice. This study used a quantitative research method using a questionnaire as the main instrument to collect data from 61 participants. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, which included frequency distribution, average score, and standard deviation. The study found that most participants felt proud and interested in learning about cultural and religious diversity at IAIN Manado. They also feel more open and tolerant of cultural and religious differences. The study results show that 87.93% of the younger generation have a positive perspective on IAIN Manado as a model of multicultural education in North Sulawesi. This study also provides insight into the effectiveness of multicultural education in increasing students' knowledge, attitudes, and behavior toward cultural and religious diversity. The results of this study can be helpful for policymakers and educators to develop effective strategies for promoting multicultural education in other educational institutions. However, further research is needed to explore the long-term impact of multicultural education on students' attitudes and behavior toward cultural and religious diversity.

- Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) applications are widely used in restaurants to reduce the COVID-19 pandemic and maintain social distancing. This study examines factors influencing consumers to use mobile self-ordering applications (MFOAs) in restaurants. The TAM model is used as a theoretical background to explain consumers' attitudes and behaviors when using mobile self-ordering applications in restaurants. A total of 699 respondents were obtained. The results of structural equation modeling (SEM) show that enjoyment and social norms play a critical role in leading young consumers to engage with these applications, resulting in their overall experience and advocacy in the context of AI service in restaurants. Thus, the findings of this study help extend the literature on the TAM model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article aims to analyse the perspectives of children and young people about disinformation and news consumption. Based on the inputs of participants and their own perceptions on the matter we explore how the disinformation phenomenon is present in their daily lives, the different ways they experience and perceive its potential impact on society, as well as strategies adopted to tackle it. The analysis is based on data obtained from 38 focus groups held with 257 children and young people attending sixth (11–13 years old), ninth (14–16 years old) and twelfth (17–20 years old) grades in public schools in mainland Portugal. Results indicated that they have access to news regularly; however, it is not pursued to fulfil a particular purpose. Televised news constitutes the main source of news consumption. News broadcasted on TV are perceived as the most reliable source if compared to online information and social networks, which are considered more susceptible to fake news, although responses indicated that children and youth do not analyse information thoroughly. Disinformation is a relatively familiar issue for a portion of the participants but is seen as neither a problem nor a concern. There is a weak awareness about the impacts and consequences of this phenomenon, although there are differences according to age. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Each suicide affects a wide circle of individuals and increases in suicide rate imply that a larger share of the population would be exposed to suicidality. This exposure may alter individuals' tendency to seek help when they face distress and is influenced by social proximity. However, limited evidence has clarified the direct and moderating effect of social proximity to suicidality on help-seeking behavior. Data were collected from a population-representative survey conducted in 2021. We recruited 1501 individuals aged 11–35 years with random sampling through mobile phone numbers. Exposure and social proximity to suicidality were measured as independent variables and help-seeking behaviors were outcomes, along with sociodemographics, psychological distress, and mental health risks as covariates. We employed latent class analysis to identify help-seeking behavior patterns and conducted multinomial logistic regressions with a three-way interaction to investigate the direct and moderating effects of social proximity to suicide ideation (SI), self-harm (SH), and suicide attempt (SA) on each help-seeking behavior pattern separately. Each unit increase in social proximity to SH was associated with a 30.9% higher likelihood of seeking help from family, friends, and partners even after controlling for distress and mental health risks. Furthermore, the three-way interaction (β123 = 0.041, 95% CI [0.014, 0.069]) suggested joint moderating effects of social proximity among people who did not rely on family. The effect of social proximity to any single stage of suicidality was amplified only when people were not exposed to the other two stages. Closer social proximity to suicidality could heighten the probability of individuals seeking help from family, friends, and partners regardless of distress level, with SH exposure's effects being stronger than SI's and SA's. Initial exposure to any single stage of suicidality could have a stronger effect than subsequent exposures among individuals who did not rely on family.

Agriculture in Indonesia is currently facing a problem: the decreasing number of young people willing to take over roles from the older generation in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this research is to understand the interest of the younger generation in agriculture, both in terms of attraction and lack thereof. This study employs methods to comprehend the situation by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results indicate that, first, many young people are not interested in farming because they view agriculture as an unpromising, outdated profession that does not align with their lifestyle. Second, several factors influencing the lack of interest among the younger generation in farming include the low prestige associated with agriculture, an imbalance between the agricultural process and its unsatisfactory outcomes, the influence of the surrounding environment, the emergence of new subcultures in the digital era, and a lack of knowledge and support for agriculture.

Threats from negative impacts of digital technology can damage the integrity and sovereignty of the Indonesian nation. This is due to the very rapid development of digital technology. One of the threats is the spread of fake news, hate speech, and digital crime, which disturb the public. The threat of negative impacts from digital technology must be handled seriously because it makes people anxious. Today's young generation is often found to be victims of the negative impacts of using digital technology. This happens because many young people use digital technology in their daily lives without adequate digital knowledge and skills. Therefore, attitudes and actions are needed to counteract the negative impacts of digital technology by strengthening digital citizenship competencies. The method used in this research involves literature review data collection techniques, using relevant sources, both national and international articles, and then compiling data related to the problem. Defending the country in the digital era involves strengthening digital citizenship competencies, which include digital skills, digital ethics, digital culture and digital security. Strengthening digital citizenship competencies is crucial as a form of defending the country and counteracting the negative impacts of the use of digital technology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigates the importance of developing social responsibility in youth within the context of socio-cultural education, a pedagogical approach fostering social values and civic engagement. We analyze this issue from philosophical, pedagogical, and psychological perspectives, emphasizing the need for young people to develop qualities like empathy, adherence to social norms, and responsible decision-making. A comprehensive review of literature from the 20th and 21st centuries reveals the complexity and relevance of "social responsibility" and its formation. We conducted a psychological and pedagogical experiment involving schoolchildren, students, and teachers to assess levels of social responsibility. The results demonstrate positive shifts in social responsibility levels following the implementation of a socio-cultural education program, with significant increases in participants exhibiting high and average levels of social responsibility. Qualitative data from participant statements further support the effectiveness of the program in fostering a stronger sense of social responsibility among youth. This study contributes to the field by offering empirical evidence for the effectiveness of socio-cultural education in promoting socially responsible behavior in young people. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As a highly urbanized country, Japan is facing the phenomenon of a continuous migration of young people from rural areas to cities, leading to an aging and decreasing population in rural communities. Influenced by the pandemic, people began to reconsider the issue of population concentration in large cities, causing urban residents to become interested in returning to rural areas. The focus of this study is on the perceptions and relocation intentions of Japanese youth towards rural areas, particularly in Hanyu-shi, Saitama Prefecture. Through semi-structured interviews with 26 urban university students who live in urban areas, this study explores the factors that attract or hinder them from having rural lives. The survey results show that childhood experiences and current lifestyle preferences have influenced their views on rural areas. The main hindering factors include backwards infrastructure, communication difficulties, and limited job prospects. This study reveals a significant cognitive gap in urban youth's attitudes towards rural life in Japan. The study emphasizes the need to eliminate these hindrances and enhance the attractiveness of rural areas to promote reverse urban migration. This study provides important insights for policymakers and urban planners, highlighting the necessity of formulating development strategies that meet the needs of urban youth residents, which is crucial for the sustainable revitalization of rural Japan. In 2016, Alexandru Vișinescu was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his actions as a prison commander five decades earlier. This article explores the epistemic function of this "landmark case" by contrasting the judicial narrative with the narratives of the participants in the trial, i.e., the civil parties, and spectators, i.e., the university students representing the younger generation. The accounts of the survivors' families, while showing great similarities with the judicial account, considerably broaden the setting and locus of responsibility and place Vișinescu's story in the larger context of communist repression. University students, by contrast, have very limited knowledge of the adjudicated events, reflecting their de-contextualised understanding of the past. This understanding is an expression of what I call the available narrative world, including publicly accessible narratives and discourses, but also subjective stories from the private sphere. In the Romanian context, characterised by perpetuated silences about the communist past, the narrative world available to university students is restricted and offers little resonance for the judicial narrative, making its integration into existing knowledge structures difficult. Consequently, I argue that the reception and acceptance of judicial narratives varies according to their resonance with societally available narrative worlds. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research aims to explore the acceptance of unconventional food products that convey creative solutions for sustainable food production and consumption. This paper presents the first stage results of an extensive Baltic Sea region’s population survey organized to understand how innovative food products’ creators could better enhance the link between sustainable products and different segments’ customer acceptance. In scope of this study, the authors focused on youth market segments, who are known for their adventurous and experimental eating habits. The authors hypothesized that products that have been created to comply with socially responsible and sustainable food products’ requirements face resistance from the youth who do not view them as superior to conventional ones. The cross-sectional study utilized mixed-method methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, including a literature review, in-depth focus group interviews, and comparative analysis using normal distribution assessment and sentiment classification. The research findings indicate that while the youth acknowledge the social and environmental benefits of innovative food products, they remain hesitant to adopt them personally. Therefore, it is vital for innovative food creators to understand the biases and behaviors of young consumers, ensuring transparency about product contents, motivating them to embrace new consumption models, try unconventional foods, and highlight the personal and societal advantages of purchasing these items.

Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, Indonesia is projected to enjoy a demographic bonus in 2045. This condition must be utilized because this is the first time in the history of the Indonesian nation. The demographic bonus that will occur in 2045 should be utilized properly. One is education that supports the younger generation to be more innovative, intelligent, critical-thinking, and skilled. The skills that a student can possess are in the field of accounting. Besides building skills, accounting can also shape the way of critical thinking and add focus and thoroughness to a student. St. Kristoforus 1 High School, as one of the target schools, has several students still interested in accounting. Due to this enthusiasm, Universitas Tarumanagara was there to provide accounting training, and the method chosen was the flipped classroom method. This paper explains the working paper where the general use is to help the process of making financial statements. Each educator will get the learning material first, so there is a difference between the conventional type of learning that usually occurs when exploring the material. This method was chosen because it is suitable to support the understanding of accounting materials and it can explore the material to be discussed more widely. This training is expected to be used by students to open a business in the future or continue their education at a higher level.

Background With the increasing prevalence of the use of nicotine products in educational institutions by the young generation, this research investigates the prevalence and awareness of nicotine products at Shifa Tameere-Millat University in Islamabad, Pakistan. It explores demographics, consumption patterns, and perceptions related to nicotine products. Methods This study was conducted at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Islamabad, from March 2022 to August 2023. Individuals aged 18 or older of both genders, including students from the university and Shifa Medical College, as well as healthcare employees and teachers who had consented to participate and had a history of nicotine product usage, were included. Results The sample size was 320, with most being students (83.0%) with a mean age of 22.31 years, predominantly using cigarettes (57.5%), followed by e-cigarettes (23.4%). Participants reported exposure mainly to university (41%) and college (37%). Usage frequency varied, with 34.7% using nicotine products once daily, 32.5% 2-3 times daily, 20.6% 4-6 times daily, and 12.2% more than seven times daily. Peer pressure had a moderate influence (mean rating of 5.96), and a significant association was found between gender and nicotine product usage (p=0.003). Preferences favoured modern nicotine products (n: 233) over conventional ones (n: 87), but no linear trend was observed. Health impact perception was linked to willingness to quit; 167 believed their health was affected and were willing to quit, while 48 hesitated, and 79 were indecisive (p=0.009), with a linear trend (p<0.05). Conclusion This study illuminated nicotine usage patterns, thus informing public health efforts to reduce consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The European Climate Pact provides opportunities for individuals, communities and organisations to declare their commitment to climate action. This study analyses the publicly available web profiles of the European Climate Pact Ambassadors (PAs) as of January 2023. First, it explores the extent to which people who volunteer as PAs demonstrate commitment to young and future generations. Second, it investigates whether PAs who self-identify as young people are more likely than other PAs to justify their mandate by referring to the interests of young and future generations. Third, it examines whether PAs who self-identify as young people are more likely to indicate other young people as the target audience of their activities. The manual coding and quantitative analysis of the PAs' web profiles revealed that members of older generations as well as parents and grandparents are most likely to rationalise their engagement in the programme by referring to young and future generations. The data also showed that young people do target other young people when they act as PAs, but they are not the only group to do so. When compared to individuals with other professional identities, educators are also more likely to flag young people as their target audience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Iii the 1920s Romania undenvent a major political, cultural, and social change. A new generation of young people attended universities and started being involved in political life in a bigger countty where access to civil and political rights was granted to all citizens. Influenced by the international context characterized by the risc of ideologies and by the habit of violence inherited from the Great War, a part of them considered terrorism as a possible instrument of action. Corneliti Zelea Codreanu's movement was the main representative of such an attitude. Political homicides were not oilly a settling of scores, also transmitting the message that there was a justice that was superior to that imposed by law and it was based on the authentical values of Romanian identity. After the death of Codreanu, tile Iron Guard, led by Horia Sima, did not give up terrorism, but it became a conscious method of political action with the aim of destabilizing and creating a climate of uncertaintv and terror. Purpose Moral education holds immense significance in shaping the younger generation particularly when the moral decline among youth necessitates a concerted effort to enhance the quality of moral education through attempting to implement evaluation methods such as the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product), which currently remain underutilized in assessing moral education programs. This study endeavors to evaluate and enhance CIPP model within Islamic universities. Methodology The study employed a mixed methods approach to collect data through questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis, with evaluation indicators constructed based on the comprehensive CIPP model. Quantitative analysis employed descriptive and inferential statistics (ttests), while qualitative data underwent scrutiny using Miles and Huberman analysis models. Findings The evaluation of context and input showcased promising alignment, with program objectives mirroring UIN Antasari's vision and national education goals, supported by ample resources for effective implementation. However, process and product evaluations revealed specific shortcomings, notably in managing program timing and the imperative to bolster stimulation of adversity intelligence and spiritual intelligence. Implications This research provides a comprehensive overview of significant implications for both academic research and practical application. It contributes to expanding intellectual discourse and offers actionable policy recommendations aimed at fortifying the quality of moral education programs within Islamic universities. Its findings serve as a clarion call to mitigate the peril of moral decadence and emphasize the urgent need for strategic improvements in the implementation of such programs. Its outcomes also underscore the importance of addressing deficiencies in program execution while advocating for continued evaluative processes to refine moral education initiatives. The research starts with an important question; “How are we going to live in a world without a world government?” This raises 3 objectives.-(1) to study the process of normalization on human rights issues as universal moral values, (2) to study the other norms under Global Political Philosophy issues at the present day, and (3) suggest ways that support the creation of norms to achieve results in the global and Thai societies. The research is categorized in philosophy and political theory. Information was collected from documents and modern media and analysed through the concept of Global Political Philosophy. Descriptive presentations were in accordance with the research objectives. The results of the research revealed that “universal moral value” like human rights as final answer. The human rights notion becomes to be norm that allows all humanity living peacefully together. My research showed that the new universal moral value is coming. It is the universal moral value of climate change that is driven via the young generation around the world. The research portrays changes in policy structure and human thought all around the world. Unfortunately, the movement of this issue has been strongly influenced on an international level by the young generation but unlike Thai society, the movement is slow.

Political engagement of the young generation is needed for a democratic country, including Indonesia. However, political engagement has psychological challenges for the younger generation. This study aimed to determine the political engagement level of the young generation and some factors that influence it. The research was designed with mixed methods. The political engagement scale (16 items; α =0.862) was administered with an open-ended questionnaire to 600 students. Interviews to deepen the answers to the questionnaire were conducted with 6 participants (3 male, and 3 female). The results indicate that the political engagement of the young generation, especially college students, is in the high category. Factors that influence political engagement include personal factors (motivation to contribute and personal interest), national condition factors (perception of the nation's condition and perceived influence), information access factors, and social-environmental factors. This finding complements previous research, that personal factors are the most powerful in influencing student political involvement. The research has implications for government institutions, education, political parties, and families in influencing the political engagement of the younger generation with effective strategies.

Rural areas are facing increasing challenges including declining populations, advanced aging, and a lack of successors. This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of rural areas among Chinese and Japanese university students living in urban areas and analyze the determinants influencing their rural attachment and willingness to reside there. A total of 259 students (126 Japanese students in Chiba and 133 Chinese students in Zhengzhou) were surveyed using the place attachment scale, and asked to describe their past experiences in rural areas. Semantic analysis was employed to further explore issues related to their previous rural visit experiences. The results revealed that students’ place of birth, visiting experience, satisfaction with rural areas, interaction with local people, and convenience of accessing rural areas all influenced their attachment and willingness to move to rural areas. Chinese students expressed greater concerns regarding hygiene issues, while Japanese students were more concerned about safety. This study offers some recommendations: promoting educational resources in rural areas and addressing hygiene issues, such as unclean restrooms, in China. In Japan, the focus should be on continued promotion of rural tourism, providing more education on safe driving and environmental safety for university students, and enhancing more access to rural areas through student transportation discounts.

In the paper, the authors discuss the concept of staged readings, arguing that they are the predominant performance format for presentations of young playwriting. However, such presentations should not be understood as an intermediate stage between reading and performing but as a fully-fledged and independent artistic genre. Many staged readings thus lose the function of “first information” about the text and its author. Instead, they have become a proper way of performing a text, thus opening up a wider area for theatrical experimentation. Using concrete examples, the authors will reflect on practices characterised by the text becoming the main or even the only thing necessary for a theatrical event and reading (in all its possible ways and forms) becoming the key theatrical means.

Problem of a low marriage rate is aggravating nowadays in China. It reached a lowest marriage rate of 5.8‰ in 2021. From previous studies, it has been found that the low marriage rate is caused by the factors including economic level, social liberalization, education level, and so on. However, family, as an important factor on this issue especially in a society like China that abides by Confucius’ filial piety very much, was seldom mentioned. In this paper, a study on how parents’ external conditions affect their children’s attitude toward a marriage relationship and how parents’ own attitudes toward a marriage relationship affect their children’s marriage choices indirectly is carried out based on the dataset of China Family Panel Survey (CFPS) in 2018 and the multiple linear regression and logistic regression models are employed for the purpose. The influences of parents’ marital status, parents’ education level and parent’s financial support on children’s expected marriage age and actual marriage status are investigated. It is hoped that the findings in this study could provide valuable reference for a better understanding of young generation’s attitude toward marriage from a different aspect.

Implementation of strengthening family based character education is not an easy thing for parents to do. This is because, after the Covid-19 pandemic, many young people were poisoned by the flow of digitalization so they have bad characteristics, such as being addicted to online games. It is undeniable that currently almost all young people have gadgets and many of them use them incorrectly they affect behavior change. This study aims to find out how parents implement character education for the younger generation and the supporting and inhibiting factors in Lau Gumba Village, Karo Regency. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the implementation of family-based character education is manifested in the form of the attitude of parents who exemplify the spirit of work and responsibility, then instill humility and exemplary behavior in worship. Character education has supporting factors, namely the enthusiasm and strong motivation of parents in educating their children. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of understanding of the concept of character education in the family.

Tahfiz houses have become the choice of parents for their children's education, while spiritual education for children has become a challenge for urban families due to the busy schedules of their parents. The presence of tahfiz houses is one solution to this challenge. This study aims to uncover the key elements and supports of tahfiz houses in shaping the spiritual education of young people in Indonesia. This research uses a case study approach, which emphasizes in-depth analysis of specific cases with the aim of finding specific aspects of tahfiz programs. The research findings indicate that the presence of An-Nur tahfiz house has brought spiritual education to children through a trilogy of education programs: Night of Building Faith and Piety (MABIT), Quranic camp living, preserving Islamic traditions, shalawat, creativity, and the role model of Mudabbir-Mudabbirah. This program has instilled a sense of consistency in performing night prayers, morning prayers, fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, reading good readings, eating and drinking in accordance with religious teachings, and a love for the Quran. Not only does it foster spiritual attitudes, but it also nurtures social cohesion. These findings suggest that the integration between tahfiz programs and worship practices with consistent and sustained spiritual education has resulted in children's spiritual development. Social conflict is a problem that often occurs in society. To prevent social conflicts, it is necessary to adopt the values of peace in everyday life. Peace Generation has identified 12 basic peace values that can be adopted by the younger generation in preventing social conflicts. This study aims to identify the values of peace adopted by the younger generation and how these values can be applied in everyday life to prevent social conflicts. The research method used is a survey through questionnaires distributed to the younger generation. The results showed that the younger generation realized the importance of peace values in preventing social conflicts. All the basic values of peace identified by the Peace Generation are adopted by the younger generation. However, there were differences in the level of adherence to these values between respondents. The results of this study show that the younger generation understands the values of peace that are important in preventing social conflicts. Therefore, policymakers and educators need to strengthen peace values education in education curricula and activities outside schools to strengthen young people's adherence to these values. Thus, it is hoped that social conflicts can be avoided and peace can be achieved in society. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
