Extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) is widely used as a primary treatment for urolithiasis and is performed as an elective outpatient surgical procedure because of its ease of use. However, patients undergoing this treatment rarely develop cardiac complications. In this article, we present the case of a 45-year-old male patient who presented with ST-elevation myocardial infarction during ESWL. Moreover, atypical symptoms and electrocardiogram patterns were recognized by the nursing staff. Early primary evaluation and intervention resulted in favorable outcomes along with patent coronary artery flow following stent placement for stenosis, and no complications were noted.

This investigation aimed to explore deep learning (DL) models’ potential for diagnosing Pseudomonas keratitis using external eye images. In the retrospective research, the images of bacterial keratitis (BK, n = 929), classified as Pseudomonas (n = 618) and non-Pseudomonas (n = 311) keratitis, were collected. Eight DL algorithms, including ResNet50, DenseNet121, ResNeXt50, SE-ResNet50, and EfficientNets B0 to B3, were adopted as backbone models to train and obtain the best ensemble 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-DL models. Five-fold cross-validation was used to determine the ability of single and ensemble models to diagnose Pseudomonas keratitis. The EfficientNet B2 model had the highest accuracy (71.2%) of the eight single-DL models, while the best ensemble 4-DL model showed the highest accuracy (72.1%) among the ensemble models. However, no statistical difference was shown in the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve and diagnostic accuracy among these single-DL models and among the four best ensemble models. As a proof of concept, the DL approach, via external eye photos, could assist in identifying Pseudomonas keratitis from BK patients. All the best ensemble models can enhance the performance of constituent DL models in diagnosing Pseudomonas keratitis, but the enhancement effect appears to be limited.

Current literature has indicated that Peyronie’s disease (PD) could be initiated by microtrauma and the subsequent inflammation episodes that follow. PD could be sorted into acute or chronic status, and it can differ when selecting the clinical therapeutics. PD would cause pain and penile deformity to diseased men and impair their erectile function. Occasionally, surgical revision of the penis might be needed to correct the penile curvature. We find that there are limited effective options of intra-lesion injections for the PD plaques. By searching the databases and screening the literature with the PRISMA 2020 guideline, we observed that several preclinical studies that applied stem cell therapy in treating PD were fruitful in the acute phase. Although in the chronic phase of PD, erectile parameters were not significantly improved, and therefore, future studies might be better elevated in certain aspects, such as the sites selected for harvesting stem cells or changing the centrifugation forces. In this review, we concluded the contemporary understanding of inflammatory microenvironments in PD, the stem cell therapy in PD, and our perspectives on future studies. We concluded that there may be great potential in stem cell therapy for treating both acute and chronic phases PD.

The study aimed to investigate the therapeutic impact of intravesical instillation of dehydrated human amnion-chorion membrane (HACM) extracts based on the primary pathological feature of interstitial cystitis (IC). We divided 15 female Sprague-Dawley rats into three groups: sham control, IC, and treatment group. IC was induced by 400-µL lipopolysaccharide (1 µg/µL), and it was replaced with normal saline in the sham control group. After IC induction, 300 µL dehydrated HACM extracts (3 mg/kg) were instilled into rats’ urinary bladder weekly for 3 weeks. General histology, inflammatory cytokines, NF-κB, oxidative markers, and western blots results were examined. The urothelial denudation, mast-cell infiltration, and tissues fibrosis were all ameliorated. The elevated TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, and NF-κB were all down-regulated by dehydrated HACM extracts (p < 0.05). For reactive oxygen species, increased malondialdehyde, decreased superoxide dismutase, and decreased glutathione peroxidase were all reversed (p < 0.05). In apoptosis of IC, elevated Bax and suppressed Bcl-2 were improved (p < 0.05) after instillation. In fibrosis, dysregulated TGFβ/R-Smads/Snail was corrected by the instillation of dehydrated HACM (p < 0.05). In conclusion, dehydrated HACM extracts could be a powerful remedy in treating IC by reconstructing the damaged urothelium, reducing mast-cell infiltration and inflammatory reactions, and ameliorating fibrotic changes. BACKGROUND pT2+ prostate cancer (PCa), a term first used in 2004, refers to organ-confined PCa characterized by a positive surgical margin (PSM) without extracapsular extension. Patients with a PSM are vulnerable to biochemical recurrence (BCR) following radical prostatectomy (RP); however, whether adjuvant radiotherapy (aRT) is imperative to PSM after RP remains controversial. This study had the longest follow-up on pT2+ PCa after robotic-assisted RP since 2004. Moreover, we discussed our viewpoints on pT2+ PCa based on real-world experiences. AIM To conclude a 10-year surveillance on pT2+ PCa and compare our results with those of the published literature. METHODS Forty-eight patients who underwent robotic-assisted RP between 2008 and 2011 were enrolled. Two serial tests of prostate specific antigen (PSA) ≥ 0.2 ng/mL were defined as BCR. Various designed factors were analyzed using statistical tools for BCR risk. SAS 9.4 was applied and significance was defined as P < 0.05. Univariate, multivariate, linear regression, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analyses were performed for statistical analyses. RESULTS With a median follow-up period of 9 years, 25 (52%) patients had BCR (BCR group), and the remaining 23 (48%) patients did not (non-BCR group). The median time for BCR test was 4 years from the first postoperative PSA nadir. Preoperative PSA was significantly different between the BCR and non-BCR groups (P < 0.001), and ROC curve analysis of preoperative PSA suggested a cut-off value of 19.09 ng/mL (sensitivity, 0.600; specificity: 0.739). The linear regression analysis showed no correlation between time to BCR and preoperative PSA (Pearson’s correlation, 0.13; adjusted R2 = 0.026). CONCLUSION Robotic-assisted RP in pT2+ PCa of worse conditions can provide better BCR-free survival. A surgical technique limiting the PSM in favorable situations is warranted to lower the pT2+ PCa BCR rate. Preoperative PSA cut-off value of 19.09 ng/mL is a predictive factor for BCR. Based on our experiences and review of the literature, we do not recommend routine aRT for pT2+ PCa.

The Paris System for Reporting Urinary Cytology (TPS) has been shown to improve bladder cancer diagnosis. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) may assist and improve the clinical workflow by applying TPS in routine diagnostic services.A deep-learning-based algorithm was developed to identify urothelial cancer candidate cells using whole-slide images (WSIs). In the testing cohort, 131 urine cytology slides were retrospectively retrieved and analyzed using this AI algorithm. The authors compared the performance of one cytopathologist and two cytotechnologists using AI-assisted digital urine cytology. Then, the AI-assisted WSIs were evaluated in the clinical workflow. The cytopathologist first made a diagnosis by reviewing the AI-inferred WSIs and quantitative data (nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio and nuclear size) for each sample. After a washout period, the same cytopathologist made a diagnosis for the same samples using direct microscopy. All diagnosis results were compared with the expert panel consensus.The AI-assisted diagnosis by the two cytotechnologists and the one cytopathologist demonstrated performance results that were comparable to the expert panel consensus (sensitivity, 79.5% and 82.1% vs. 92.3%, respectively; specificity, 100% and 98.9% vs. 100%, respectively). Furthermore, the performance of the AI-assisted WSIs compared with the microscopic diagnosis by the cytopathologist demonstrated superior sensitivity (92.3% vs. 87.2%) and negative predictive value (96.8% vs. 94.8%). In addition, the AI-assisted reporting demonstrated near perfect agreement with the expert panel consensus (κ = 0.944) and the microscopic diagnosis (κ = 0.862).The AI algorithm developed by the authors effectively assisted TPS-based reporting by providing AI-inferred WSIs and quantitative data.

Vasitis is a rare condition that may be challenging for the clinical practitioner. Sometimes it is misdiagnosed as incarcerated inguinal hernia; thus, patients end up receiving unnecessary surgery. Compared with the traditional approach with only sonography, the more recent introduction of computed tomography in the diagnostic process has provided higher quality imaging and more detailed anatomy. Consequently, some urologists advocate the efficacy of computed tomography in the differential diagnosis of difficult cases.We present the case of a 23-year-old male who suffered from right inguinal pain and swelling. His scrotum ultrasound showed multiple tubular structure dilatation within the subinguinal area and no testis torsion. The initial diagnosis was a right inguinal hernia. Computed tomography supported that initial diagnosis, and we presumed the lesion represented a herniation of the omentum with mesenteric vessels. Since there was a suspicion of hernia incarceration, the patient underwent diagnostic laparoscopy, which did not reveal herniation, but only erythematous reaction and swelling over the right spermatic cord. Following a final diagnosis of vasitis, he received empirical antibiotic treatment and his symptoms entirely resolved.Even though computed tomography can provide thorough imaging of the urogenital system, the contrast enhancement within vessels and inflammatory organs can still be misleading in the diagnostic process.RéSUMé: CONTEXTE: La déférendite est. une maladie rare qui peut présenter des difficultés pour le praticien. Parfois, elle est. diagnostiquée à tort comme une hernie inguinale incarcérée; ce qui amène les patients à subir une intervention chirurgicale inutile. Par rapport à l’approche traditionnelle avec la seule échographie, l’introduction plus récente de la tomodensitométrie dans le processus diagnostique a fourni une imagerie de meilleure qualité et une anatomie plus détaillée. Par conséquent, certains urologues préconisent l’efficacité de la tomodensitométrie dans le diagnostic différentiel des cas difficiles. PRéSENTATION DU CAS: Nous rapportons le cas d’un homme de 23 ans qui souffrait d’une douleur et d’une tuméfaction inguinales droites. L’échographie du scrotum a montré une dilatation de multiples structures tubulaires dans la région subinguinale, sans torsion du testicule. Le diagnostic initial a été une hernie inguinale droite. La tomodensitométrie a confirmé ce diagnostic initial, et nous avons supposé que la lésion représentait une hernie de l’épiploon avec des vaisseaux mésentériques. Comme il y avait une suspicion d’incarcération de hernie, le patient a subi une laparoscopie diagnostique, qui n’a pas révélé de hernie, mais seulement une réaction érythémateuse et un gonflement du cordon spermatique droit. Après un diagnostic final de déférendite, le patient a reçu un traitement antibiotique empirique et ses symptômes ont été entièrement résolus. CONCLUSIONS: Même si la tomodensitométrie peut fournir une imagerie approfondie du système urogénital, l’amélioration du contraste dans les vaisseaux et les organes inflammatoires peut encore être trompeuse dans le processus diagnostique. BACKGROUND Target therapy is licensed by United States Food and Drug Administration on certain cancers. Both sorafenib and lenvatinib are tyrosine kinase inhibitor and indicated on radioactive iodine (RAI)-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). Lenvatinib is more effective in cancers' control than sorafenib, but causes more nephrotoxicity than sorafenib does. This case is the second published case about the serial adaptions from lenvatinib to sorafenib for improving the proteinuria and, meanwhile, achieving the therapeutic goal. CASE SUMMARY A 56-year-old man suffered from bilateral edematous lower extremities after 1-mo prescription of lenvatinib of 20 mg/d for RAI-refractory DTC. Aside from this symptom, he also developed hypertension. His laboratory showed grade-3 proteinuria (estimated 24-h urine protein: 9993 mg), hypoalbuminemia and hypercholesterolemia. Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) therapy-induced nephrotic syndrome was impressed. After reduced dosage of lenvatinib of 10 mg/d and related symptomatic drugs, limited improvement was observed in both adverse effects and caner control. Under this condition, we substituted sorafenib of 400 mg/d for lenvatinib of 10 mg/d. After a 5-mo prescription, not only hypertension and peripheral edema were greatly improved, but also proteinuria was improved from grade three to grade one (estimated 24-h urine protein: 962 mg). At the same time the cancer control was achieved, judged from computed tomography and laboratory evidence [thyroglobulin (Tg) before prescription of sorafenib: 354.7 ng/mL; Tg after prescription of sorafenib: 108.9 ng/mL]. CONCLUSION Adaption from lenvatinib to sorafenib is a feasible method to improve the anti-VEGF therapy-induced nephrotic syndrome and achieve the therapeutic goal at the same time.

BACKGROUND/AIM Expanded indications for patients with preoperatively suspected prostate cancer (PC) undergoing theranostic robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (T-RARP) are reported. We aimed to build a nomogram of T-RARP to predict final pathologically proven PC. This study reviewed data of 153 patients that underwent T-RARP for suspected PC performed by the same surgeon. PATIENTS AND METHODS Patients' preoperative demographic and clinical characteristics included age, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level, PSA density (PSAD), history of acute urinary retention (AUR), abnormal digital rectal examination (DRE) of the prostate, and Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) classification at 3-T multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Logistic regression with backward elimination was used to select potential risk factors. RESULTS Based on Harrell's guidelines, we chose seven variables for our final model: Age, DRE corresponding with MRI, AUR, PSAD, prostate-specific antigen velocity (PSAV), PI-RADS, and biopsy pathology. A nomogram for prediction of adenocarcinoma was developed. The original C-index for the nomogram was 0.80 (95% confidence interval=0.74-0.89). The cut-off of the nomogram score for predicting PC was 50 (sensitivity=55.4%; specificity=91.9%). The receiver operating characteristic curve of the model analysis showed an area under the curve of 0.801. CONCLUSION A nomogram was produced using age, DRE-corresponding MRI, AUR, PSAD, PSAV, PI-RADS, and biopsy pathology. A preoperative nomogram prediction of prostate adenocarcinoma can help the patient and his family understand the possibility of PC and assist them in their decision-making.

Background/Aim: Incisional hernia is a complication that occurs occasionally, and surgical intervention is required to prevent more severe sequela. While there are several options for management, robotic-assisted incisional repair has not been well discussed yet. We herein report a case series of 10 patients who underwent robotic-assisted incisional hernia repair (RIHR) after robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). The aim of the study was to examine the feasibility of incisional hernia repair with da Vinci(®) robotics. Patients and Methods: We recruited patients from a group of 2,000 consecutive patients who underwent RARP from December, 2005 to June, 2020 by a single surgeon. Patient characteristics included age, body mass index (BMI), PSA level, pathology Gleason score, and pathology TNM staging. The variants regarding the patients’ incisional hernia included incisional hernia occurrence time after RARP, defect size, operation time, console time, blood loss, and follow-up time after the herniation occurrence. Furthermore, we established a defect size of 3x2 cm(2) as the cutoff value for using mesh reinforcement or not. Results: The mean defect area was 27.7 cm(2), and the average operative time was 114.8 min, with a mean console time of 87 min. Blood loss was 32.5 ml, and the hospital stay for all patients was 3 days without complications. The mean follow-up period was 29.5 months, with no recurrence. Conclusion: RIHR is a feasible surgical method that is not inferior to the traditional open or laparoscopic repair. Furthermore, RIHR can possibly lessen the burden of both the surgeon and patient.

A catalyst constructed from graphene oxide and iridium chloride exhibited high activity and reliability for the selective transformation of benzylic alcohols into aromatic aldehydes or ketones. Instead of thermal reaction, the transformation was performed under ultrasonication, a green process with low byproduct, high atomic yield and high selectivity. Experimental data obtained from spherical-aberration corrected field emission TEM (ULTRA-HRTEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectra confirm the nanostructure of the title complex. Noticeably, the activity and selectivity for the transformation of benzylic alcohols remained unchanged within 25 catalytic cycles. The average turn over frequency is higher than 5000 h−1, while the total turnover number (TON) is more than one hundred thousand, making it a high greenness and eco-friendly process for alcohol oxidation.

Furthermore, we compared the survival outcomes according to the different managements after iPCa was diagnosed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was utilized to find the best thresholds. Univariable and multivariable nested logit regression were performed to estimate the effect size of different independent variables. Odds ratio (OR) was expressed with 95% confidence interval, and the alpha level was 5%.Results: In 295 men we enrolled, there were 57 (19%) men having iPCa from surgical specimens. In univariable logit regression, we found significant variables of age, PSA, prostatic volume, PSA velocity ≥ 0.75 ng/mL/year for 3 years, taking 5α reductase inhibitors, abnormal digital rectal examination, cores of biopsy and surgical methods. In multivariable model, PSA was the strongest variable predicting iPCa (OR 3.81 [2.04– 7.07]; Wald: 17.75; p < 0.001). In ROC curve, the best threshold was 9.025 ng/mL (area under curve: 0.95; sensitivity: 0.947; specificity: 0.866). In Kaplan–Meier curve of 27.89-month follow-up, robot-assisted simple prostatectomy (RASP) can provide similar PSA progression-free period as robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) following transurethral surgeries in organ-confined cancer (Log rank test, p = 0.293), and both of them were better than external-beam radiation therapy (RT) following transurethral surgeries (Log rank test, p < 0.001).Conclusion: PSA was the strongest variable to predict iPCa out of prostate with preoperative benign biopsies. Although ureteroplasty with buccal mucosa graft for long-segmental ureteral stenosis has been developed long ago, evidence was still restricted to case series in published literature. This study aims to validate ureteroplasty with buccal mucosa graft (BMG) in long-segment stricture at the proximal and middle ureters under designed comparative methods. From April 2015 to January 2019, we performed robotic-assisted ureteroplasty with BMG with a two-phase design and compared ureteroplasty and BMG (phase 2 surgery) with endoscopic stenting (phase 1 surgery). Paired data of effective renal plasma flow (ERPF), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), hydronephrosis grade, and physical and psychological domains of the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-BREF were compared. A total of 29 patients were enrolled, and only three (10%) patients had hydronephrosis resolution after treatment with endoscopic stenting (p = 0.250 to baseline). The inflammatory process is proposed to be one of the factors to benign prostatic enlargement (BPH), and this is the first study examining the anti-inflammatory ability of phloretin in treating rats with testosterone-induced BPH. BPH would be induced by testosterone (10 mg/kg/day testosterone subcutaneously for 28 days), and the other groups of rats were treated with phloretin 50 mg/kg/day or 100 mg/kg/day orally (phr50 or phr100 group) after induction. Prostate weight and prostate weight to body weight ratio were significantly reduced in the Phr100 group. Reduced dihydrotestosterone without interfering with 5α-reductase was observed in the phr100 group. In inflammatory proteins, reduced IL-6, IL-8, IL-17, NF-κB, and COX-2 were seen in the phr100 group. In reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde was reduced, and superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase were elevated in the phr100 group. In apoptotic assessment, elevated cleaved caspase-3 was observed in rats of the phr100 group. Enhanced pro-apoptotic Bax and reduced anti-apoptotic Bc1-2 could be seen in the phr100 group. In histological stains, markedly decreased glandular hyperplasia and proliferative cell nuclear antigen were observed with reduced expression in the phr100 group. Meanwhile, positive cells of terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling were increased in the phr100 group. Ralstonia solanacearum (RS) race 1 biovar 4 (R1bv4), causal agent of bacterial wilt in vegetable sweet potato (VSP), is often latent in VSP vines and is important in introduction of the pathogen to newly planted fields. In this study, the effects of biological and environmental factors on the distribution and multiplication of R1bv4 in VSP tissues were examined. Based on stem‐injection inoculation, the R1bv4strain of NC01 could cause 49.0% and 33.0% wilting on VSP cultivars TN71 and WS, respectively. The populations of NC01 in diseased TN71 and WS were 10⁸–10⁹ cfu/g tissue at 28th day after inoculation. On the other hand, the R1bv4 could not cause symptom in cultivars of TN57 and VSPSL‐1 vine and the NC01 was confined to near the injection sites. Temperature tests indicated that NC01 could cause 28.0% and 14.0% wilting on cultivar TN71 at 28 and 20°C, respectively. Moreover, the populations of NC01in diseased plants were 1.6 × 10⁹ and 7.9 × 10⁸ cfu/g tissue at 28 and 20°C, respectively. The distribution of NC01 in VSP stem indicated that the isolation frequency of NC01 was lower than 31.0% in terminal shoots or erect stems and 45.0 to 100.0% in creeping stem after 8 wks planted in infested soil (10⁶ cfu/g soil). The results demonstrated that terminal shoots or erect stems were not common carrier for transmitting R1bv4. Furthermore, two R1bv4 strains, NC01 and HsinT01, were examined the ability for latent infection on cv. TN71. The results revealed that NC01 and HsinT01 showed different ability of latent infection on cultivar TN71. NC01 had lower percentage (46.8% and 45.1%) than HsinT01 (93.4% and 75.3%) at 20 and 28°C.

This study aimed to determine the prognostic values of Ki67 and vimentin in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) after extirpative surgery.Between 2014 and 2019, patients diagnosed with UTUC and receiving radical nephroureterectomy were included retrospectively. Nuclear MIB-1 clones and cytoplasmic VIM 3B4 clones were used to assess Ki67 and vimentin levels, respectively. A unified reading protocol was applied, and the expression level was read by a single pathologist. Receiver operating characteristic curves were utilized to determine the best threshold for Ki67 and vimentin regarding recurrence, and this level was set as the diffusive level. The outcome of recurrence-free survival (RFS) was analyzed via a Cox regression model with univariable and multivariable approaches. Survival outcomes were analyzed via Kaplan-Meier (KM) curves.A total of 247 patients were included, and the mean follow-up was 29.90 ± 6.80 months. Diffusive thresholds were 17.5% for both Ki67 and vimentin. Under multivariable Cox regression, diffusive Ki67 (hazard ratio: 4.20 [2.39-7.37], P0.001) and diffusive vimentin (hazard ratio: 5.34 [3.10-9.22], P0.001) were significant prognostic indicators of worse RFS. Diffusive Ki67 was accompanied by diffusive vimentin (chi square with Yates' correction, P = 0.015), and vice versa. In the KM curve, there was no difference between diffusive Ki67/nondiffusive vimentin and nondiffusive Ki67/diffusive vimentin (log-rank test, P = 0.073). Significant differences (log-rank test, P0.001) were seen in different combinations of diffusive Ki67/vimentin (Mean RFS: 19.76 [18.56-20.96] months), only one diffusive in Ki67 or vimentin (Mean RFS: 22.94 [21.88-24.00] months), and nondiffusive Ki67/vimentin (Mean RFS: 32.96 [32.43-33.50] months).Diffusive Ki67 and vimentin were related to each other, and they exerted equivalent and synergic effects on predicting worse RFS in UTUC.

Two liquid crystalline epoxy (LCE) resins containing different mesogenic lengths were synthesized and cured with two different aromatic diamine curing agents, diaminodiphenylsulfone (DDS) and diaminodiphenylmethane (DDM) to prepare high performance LCE networks. The spectroscopic structures of LCE resins were identified by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy, mass (MS) spectroscopy, and the formation of nematic and smectic liquid crystalline phase were observed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and polarized optical microscopy (POM). The curing reactions and liquid crystalline textures of the LCE resins were also studied by DSC and POM on the process of curing. The thermal and mechanical properties were investigated for the cured LCE resins with different mesogenic lengths. These results show that the LCE cross-linked networks with long mesogenic group exhibited much higher storage modulus, glass transition temperature, thermal conductivity, thermal stability, and dimensional stability both in the regions of glassy and rubbery states. In addition, both LCE resins have superior thermal and mechanical properties compared to those of the commonly used epoxy resin.

We develop a new workflows with O/S tester (Direct Current Tester, DCT) to detect quickly the defect location of failure packages, which can applies in the semiconductor industry for E-FA (Electrical Failure Analysis) fault localization for short, leakage and open defects. This paper introduces the capability and presents two case studies identifying the physical location of defects where DCT with defect mapping function is useful as a non-destructive analysis technique. In this paper, the methodology and application of DCT on open and short defects in advanced 2.5D IC has been presented. The experimental results of non-destructive tooling (X-ray) and P-FA (Physical Failure Analysis) verify the accuracy of the defect mapping function in determining the pin location to defect.

In order to enhance the thermomechanical behaviors of epoxy molding compounds, the hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) fillers were incorporated in a ketone mesogenic liquid crystalline epoxy (K&ndash, LCE) matrix to prepare a high-performance epoxy composites. The h-BN was modified by surface coupling agent 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). The grafting of silane molecules onto the surface of BN fillers improved the compatibility and homogeneous dispersion state of BN fillers in the K&ndash, LCE matrix with a strong interface interaction. The surface-modified BN fillers were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The thermomechanical properties and morphologies of K&ndash, LCE/BN composites loading with different contents of modified BN fillers, ranging from 0.50 to 5.00 wt%, were investigated. These results show that modified BN fillers uniformly dispersed in K&ndash, LCE matrix, contributing to the enhancement in storage modulus, glass transition temperatures, impact strength and reduction in the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). The thermal stability and char yield of the K&ndash, LCE/BN composites were increased by increasing the amount of modified BN fillers and the thermal decomposition temperatures of composites were over 370 &deg, C. The thermal conductivity of the K&ndash, LCE/BN composites was up to 0.6 W/m&middot, K, for LC epoxy filled with 5.00-wt%-modified BN fillers. Furthermore, the K&ndash, LCE/BN composites have excellent thermal and mechanical properties compared to those of the DGEBA/BN composites.

Lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma, named after nasopharyngeal lymphoepithelioma and rarely seen at genitourinary malignancy, accounts for 1%–2% along the upper and lower urinary tract. For its rarity, no published guideline can be adhered to. Roles of surgery and chemotherapy are solid, and rich Programmed Death-Ligand 1 characteristics may furthermore light on the possible immunotherapy. This female case had it at both upper and lower urinary tract simultaneously. No involved regional lymph nodes and no distant metastasis were investigated. No adjuvant chemotherapy was given after robotics-assisted left nephroureterectomy and bladder cuff excision with partial cystectomy, and no recurrence was observed.
