A total of 73 species belonging to 30 genera of the family Nolidae are recognized in Korea. This study reports two additional Nolinae species, with a newly recorded genus Nanola László, Ronkay G, Witt, 2010. Additionally, a checklist and illustrations of adults and genitalia of newly recorded species are provided.

The current knowledge of the tribe Nomophilini in Korea is reported, based on several taxa described to date. In addition, we report Syngamia falsidicalis (Walker, 1859) and the genus Syngamia Guenée (1854) for the first time in Korea. A total of 10 species, in 6 genera, are verified for Korea. Illustrations of adults and genitalia, and a key to genera of Nomophilini are provided.

The genus Nycteola Hübner has been mainly distributed in the Old World and usually feeds on Fagaceae and Salicaceae, but Myrtaceae and Juglandaceae have also been reported. In Korea, the number of this genus has been changed from four to three after 2007, but three or four species are listed confusingly up to now.The Japanese endemic species Nycteola dufayi Sugi, 1982 are firstly reported for the Continents with its brief biology. Additionally, Korean fauna of nycteolid species are reviewed.

The genus Termioptycha Meyrick, 1889, of Korea is reviewed, with five described species; among them, Termioptycha eucarta (Felder and Rogenhofer 1875) is recorded from Korea for the first time. A key to Korean species of the genus Termioptycha and illustrations of adults and genitalia are provided.

The paper contains information on a newly recorded genus Manoba Walker (1864), with four Laotian species (M. lativittata (Moore, 1888), M. gyulaipeteri László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010, M. dorothea László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2014 and M. tristicta (Hampson, 1900)). Color figures of adults and genitalia of the examined species are provided.

A total of 52 species belonging to 33 genera within six subfamilies of the family Nolidae are recognized from Laos. In this study, we provide all available species data, synonymies, distributions, and literatures. Among them, the subfamily Beaninae is newly recorded in Laos, with the description of a new species, Beana glaucusa Cha & Bae sp. nov. Also, one species, B. terminigera (Walker, 1858), is reported for the first time from Laos. The external morphology and genitalic structure of the new and newly recorded species are examined and illustrated with available information.

The genus Pelosia Hübner [1819] in South Korea, which is represented with five species, P. angusta, P. muscerda, P. noctis, P. obtusa and P. ramosula is reviewed. Among these, P. obtusa is newly recorded from South Korea, and one of the Korean rare species, P. ramosula is re-examined herein. Illustrations of adults, genitalia of all examined species and wing venation are provided, with a key to the known species of the genus Pelosia in the world.

We report two species of the family Erebidae (Lepidoptera, Noctuoidea), Hulodes caranea (Cramer, [1780]) from Mt. Deogyu and Hypena (Hypena) narratalis Walker, [1859] from Jangam cave, for the first time from Korea. The genus Hulodes is also newly represented in Korea. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of examined species are provided.

Two species of Alcanola László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010: A. tympanistis (Hampson, 1900) and A. obscurata László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010 are reported for the first time from Laos, and A. obscurata is also new to Myanmar, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Illustrations of adults and genitalias of all examined species are provided.

A checklist to the six genera, with 16 species of subfamily Tineinae Latreille, 1810 from Korea, is present. In the checklist, three species of Tineinae Crypsithyris japonica Petersen & Gaedike, Monopis burmanni Petersen, and Elatobia fuliginosella (Lienig & Zeller) are reported for the first time from Korea. Also, the genus Crypsithyris Meyrick and Elatobia Herrich-Schäffer are reported for the first time from Korea. Distributions and type locality of all species are provided.

The genus Dialithoptera Hampson, 1900 of the subfamily Nolinae Hampson, 1894 is newly reported for the first time from Laos, with two species, Dialithoptera gemmata (Hampson, 1896), and D. margarita László, Ronkay & Witt, 2007. Illustrations of adults and genitalia for the species are provided.

The second part of the genus Palpita from Laos is reviewed, with eight newly recorded species: P. aureolina Inoue, 1997, P. sejunctalis Inoue, 1997, P. pajnii Kirti & Rose, 1992, P. perunionalis Inoue, 1994, P. simplicissima Inoue, 1997, P. griseofascialis Inoue, 1997, P. nigricollis (Snellen, 1895), and P. picticostalis (Hampson, 1896). A key to the species of this group, and the illustrations of adults and genitalia are presented.

This first part of the genus Palpita from Laos is reviewed, with seven newly recorded species: P. annulifer Inoue, 1996, P. kiminensis Kirti & Rose, 1992, P. munroei Inoue, 1996, P. hypohomalia Inoue, 1996, P. pandurata Inoue, 1996, P. indannulata Inoue, 1996, and P. parvifraterna Inoue, 1999. A key to the species group of the genus Palpita is provided, with illustrations of adults and genitalia.

Genus Stericta Lederer, 1863 of Korea is reviewed, with five described species. Among them, Stericta flavopuncta Inoue & Sasaki, 1995 is recorded from Korea for the first time. A key to Korean species of the genus Stericta, and illustrations of adults and genitalia are provided.

We report two species of Spilomelinae, Syllepte ningpoalis (Leech, 1889) and Tyspanodes gracilis Inoue, 1982, for the first time in Korea. Illustrations of adults and genitalia are presented.

Three genera of subfamily Nolinae Hampson are reported for the first time from Laos, with three new records: Mokfanola crustaceata László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010, Varganola flavibasis (Hampson, 1900) and Suerkenola sublongiventris Shao & Han (2010). Illustrations of the adults and the genitalia of all examined species are provided.

Halone Walker is reviewed with a world checklist in this study. One species, Halone hollowayi Bayarsaikhan & Bae, 2019, is newly recorded to Laos. Illustrations of adults of all known Halone species and genitalia of the newly recorded species are presented, with species key to the adults.

The genus Stictane Hampson is reviewed in Vietnam, with five species, S. munda, S. umbrimedia, S. paucilinea, S. obscura, and S. fuscus. Among them, S. obscura and S. fuscus are newly recorded from Vietnam. Illustrations of adults and genitalia are provided, with a key to the species of genus Stictane from Vietnam.

The genus Erechthias Meyrick, 1880 belonging to the subfamily Erechtiinae of the family Tineidae in Korea is reviewed with three recognized species: one known species, Erechthias atririvis (Meyrick, 1931), and two newly recorded species, E. ioloxa (Meyrick, 1936) and E. sphenoschista (Meyrick, 1931), are reported for the first time from Korea. Photographs of adults and genitalia of two species are provided.

Three species (Petroscrites breviceps, P. springeri and P. variabilis) belong to the blenny genus Petroscirtes have been recognized from the Korean waters to date. The latter two species of them have been known to be based on underwater photographs without any taxonomic detailed description, not scientific material. Based on a single specimen (80.3 mm SL) collected from a depth of 12 m in the southern coastal waters of Jeju island, P springeri is described in detail as the first reliable record from the Korean waters. The species is characterized by having two dark bluish spots on opercle and caudal fin base, 12 spinous and 21 soft rays on dorsal fin, two spinous and 21 soft rays on anal fin, and a palmate cirrus on lower jaw. We add formally the species into the ichthyfauna of Korea in this study. To avoid confusion in naming of the species, the original Korean name (Du-jeom-be-do-ra-chi) is maintained instead of proposing a new Korean name.

Two nolid species Meganola ohsunghwani László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2014 and Meganola basisignata Inoue, 1991 are newly recorded from Korea. Illustrations of adult and genitalia are provided. The final instar of each species is given.

Genus Dactylioglypha Diakonoff, 1973, is reported for the first time from Korea, with one newly recorded species: Dactylioglypha tonica (Meyrick, 1909), which was collected in the Jeju Island. Descriptions and illustrations of adult, including the wing pattern, genitalia of the both sexes, and a brief biological information, are provided.

Six species are reported for the first time in Cambodia, along with one newly recorded genus, Asura Walker. Up to now, unknown female of Poliosia solovyevi Dubatolov & Bucsek is firstly described herein. Illustrations of adult and genitalia of newly recorded species are presented.

The genus Stictane Hampson (1900) is reported for the first time in Korea, for the species Stictane chinesica (Draudt, 1931). Genitalia of Korean Agrisius fuliginosus Moore, 1872 is reexamined and was identified to Agrisius japonicas Leech, 1889. Up to now, unknown female of S. chinesica is newly described herein. Diagnostic comparisons are made with Stictane rectilinea (Snellen, 1879) and Agrisius fuliginosus Moore, 1872. Illustrations of adult and genitalia are presented.

The genus Niditinea Petersen, 1957, belonging to the subfamily Tineinae of Tineidae in Korea is reviewed with three recognized species: one little known species, Niditinea baryspilas (Meyrick) and two newly recorded species, Niditinea fuscella (Linnaeus) and Niditinea striolella (Matsumura). Genus Cirrhochrista Lederer, 1863 from Cambodia is reviewed, with six newly recorded species: C. brizoalis (Walker, 1859), C. spinuella Chen, Song & Wu, 2006, C. kosemponialis Strand, 1918, C. semibrunnea Hampson, 1895, C. fumipalpis Felder, Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875 and C. fuscusa Chen, Song & Wu, 2006. Moreover, male of C. fuscusa is newly described and illustrated herein. Here, we present the first reliable record of the Bluestriped fangblenny, Plagiotremus rhinorhynchos in Korea, based on two specimens (65.9–67.1 mm in standard length) collected at a depth of 12 m in the southern coastal waters of Jejudo Island. This species was previously speculated to inhabit the coastal waters of Jejudo Island based only on a single image obtained through underwater photography. The species is characterized by the presence of two brilliant bluish stripes on the side of the body when fresh, a fleshy and conical snout, long-base dorsal and anal fins, and the chisel-shaped tip of its dentary incisors.

We tried to find an effective method of monitoring wild mammals. We conducted 8 line surveys for Unmunsan from 2016 to 2017 and compared the results with the number of field signs (FSs) per km. The total distance of 8 tracks was 63.65 km, and 520 FSs were identified in 13 species of the wild mammals. By comparing these results, it was confirmed that there is a positive correlation that the number of FSs increases as the survey path becomes longer. We classified FS into three grades: the lower 25%, the middle 50%, and the upper 25%, with reference to the results of the frequency analysis for the number of FS/km. Then, the grades could be classified by the number of FSs of 4.0/km for the low grade, 8.1/km for the middle grade, and 10.1/km for the high grade. These results show that it is possible to calculate indices such as the habitat quality of wild mammals based on the data for the number of FSs. We also suggest that quantitative methods can be used to compare the FS of wild mammals by converting the survey distance into 1 km based on these results. Three new species of the genus Empalactis Meyrick (Empalactis backanensis Park, sp. nov., Empalactis curvatilis Park, sp. nov., and Empalactis scolosetes Park, sp. nov.) and one new species of the genus Bagdadia Amsel (Bagdadia globulibasis Park, sp. nov.) are described from the northern Vietnam. The genus Promalactis Meyrick, 1908 is recorded for the first time from Laos in mainland Southeast Asia and four new species are described: P. crassa sp. nov., P. retusa sp. nov., P. senispina sp. nov., and P. uniclavata sp. nov. Additionally, seven species are newly reported from the country: P. albisquama Kim & Park, P. apicisetifera Du & Wang, P. bitrigona Kim & Park, P. zolotuhini Lvovsky, P. parasuzukiella Wang, P. suzukiella (Matsumura), and P. spiraliola Kim. Distributional data and diagnoses and/or descriptions for all species in Laos are provided, along with illustrations of adults and genitalia.

We revisited the confirmation points of the leopard cat scats surveyed in 2009 for forests around Gyejoksan. We analyzed the relationship between the total length of the walk route and the wild mammal trails, and the rate of rediscovery of the leopard cat scats within the Ecological and Natural Map grid. First, in the correlation analysis between the total length of the walk survey route and the number of mammal trails, we confirmed that the longer the walk survey route, the higher the number of mammal trails. Second, as a result of analyzing the rediscovery rate for grids of confirmed scats in 2009 and 2015, the average rediscovery rate was 0.57 in 20 grids. However, when the size of the existing grid was tripled, we confirmed that the rediscovery rate in the grid increased about 1.7 times with an average of 0.98. In addition, it was confirmed that there was no grid that the leopard cat scats had not been rediscovered at the 750-meter grid. From these results, determination of the habitat based on the scat point should be improved because the excretion zone of the leopard cat is wider than the 250-meter grid in the Ecological and Natural Map. Four species of the genus Catoptria Hübner are recognized from Korea: Catoptria furciferalis (Hampson), Catoptria permiacus (Petersen), Catoptria pinella (Linnaeus), and Catoptria verellus (Zincken); of which, C. furciferalis (Hampson), C. pinella (Linnaeus), and C. verellus (Zincken) are reported for the first time from Korea. A key to the Korean species of genus Catoptria is presented, with the description and photographs of adults, male, and female genitalia provided. The genus Poliosia Hampson (1900) is reported for the first time in Laos, for four newly recorded species, Poliosia cubitifera (Hampson, 1894), Poliosia marginata (Hampson, 1900), Poliosia concolora Holloway, 2001, and Poliosia cardamomensis Bayarsaikhan & Bae, 2018. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of the examined species are provided, with a key to species of Laos on the basis of the external morphology and the male genitalia. The genus Botyodes Guenée, 1854 (Lepidoptera, Crambidae, Spilomelinae) is reviewed from Laos, with three newly recorded species: Botyodes asialis Guenée, 1854, B. diniasalis (Walker, 1859), and B. principalis Leech, 1899. A key to the Laotian species of the genus Botyodes is presented. Illustrations of adults and genitalia are provided, with species redescriptions, host plants, and distribution record. Two species of Tischeriidae, Tischeria decidua siorkionla (Kozlov, 1986) and Coptotriche minuta (Diškus & Stonis, 2014) are newly recorded in Korea. Photographs of adults, genitalia and host plants are provided, as well as redescriptions of those two species. The checklist of Korean Tischeriidae is updated. In this study, Agdistis tamaricis (Zeller, 1847) is newly added to a list of Korean Agdistinae. It is a second record of the “un-cleft pterophorid” from Korea. Illustrations of adult and genitalic characters of both sexes were provided with a checklist of the genus from Eastern Asia including the Far East Russia. Two species of Pyraustinae, Sinibotys butleri (South, 1901) and Callibotys wilemani Munroe and Mutuura, 1969, are reported for the first time from Korea. In total, three species of the genus Swammerdamia Hübner is recognized from Korea: Swammerdamia caesiella (Hübner, [1796]), S. glaucella Junnilainen, 2001, and S. pyrella (Villers, 1789). Of these, S. pyrella is reported for the first time from Korea. In the present study, we provide a key to the species and photographs of the adults, the wing venation, and the genitalia. Genus Nemapogon Schrank, 1802, of Nemapogoninae, is reviewed in Korea for three species: one known species N. granella (Linnaeus, 1758) and two newly recorded species, N. gerasimovi Zagulajev, 1961, and N. robusta Gaedike, 2000. Four species of Yponomeuta were revised from Korea. The following species are recognized as valid: Y. evonymella (Linnaeus), Y. padella (Linnaeus), Y. refrigeratus (Meyrick), and Y. orientalis (Zagulajev). Genus Microlithosia Daniel, 1954 of Arctiinae in Vietnam is reviewed, with two newly recorded species, Microlithosia shaowuica Daniel, 1954 and Microlithosia nanlingica Dubatolov, Kishida & Wang, 2012. The genus Barsine Walker, 1854 of Cambodia is reviewed. Of the 12 species recorded, Barsine sieglindae Černý, 2016 is newly recorded from Cambodia. The genus Pachynoa is recorded for the first time in Laos with two species, Pachynoa xanthochyta (Turner, 1933) and Pachynoa thoosalis (Walker, 1859). Three species, Glaucocharis melistoma (Meyrick), G. rosannoides (Bleszynski), and G. vermeeri (Bleszynski), of the genus Glaucocharis Meyrick of the subfamily Crambinae (Lepidoptera, Crambidae) are reported for the first time from Korea. Adults and genitalia images for the newly recorded species from Korea are provided, with a key to species of the genus Glaucocharis Meyrick. A checklist of the genus is given. The current knowledge of the subfamily Arctiinae (Lithosiini, Arctiini, Syntomini) fauna of South Korea is reported, based on the checklist of Bae et al (2013) completed by data on several taxa described since this date, with one newly recorded genus, Schistophleps Hampson, and one rare species, Spilarctia robusta (Leech). Illustrations of adults and genitalia are presented.

Japanese species, Ypsolopha fujimotoi Moriuti, 1964 is reported from Korea for the first time. Additionally, the female of Ypsolopha fujimotoi Moriuti is newly described. Illustrations of adults and photographs of genitalia, diagnosis, distribution, and host plants are provided, as well as a discussion of Y. fujimotoi Moriuti and Ypsolopha longa Moriuti.

Two species of tined moths, Monopis longella (Walker, 1863) and Monopis congestella (Walker, 1864) were collected using artificial feather traps in Korea, with M. congestella reported for the first time from Korea. This is the first report of the use of feather traps to collect moths in Korea, and the biological information regarding M. longella and M. congestella are presented for the first time in Korea. The adults are briefly described and illustrated, including the male and female genitalia.

The subfamily Aganainae is reviewed for the first time from Cambodia. Fifteen species of five genera are recognized from Cambodia. Key and diagnoses for the genera and all species are provided. The adults and genitalia are illustrated for all examined species.

Two species of the genus Herpetogramma Lederer are reported for the first time in Korea: Herpetogramma licarsisalis (Walker) and Herpetogramma stultalis (Walker). The description, host plants, adult photographs, and pictures of the male and female genitalia are provided.
