Ultrasound-guided TPVB combined with an erector spinae plane block was given after anesthesia induction. The following were applied to each group: Group R received 30 mL of 0.5% ropivacaine + 5 mL of a normal saline mixture; Group R1 received 30 mL of 0.5% ropivacaine + 5 mL of a 1 μg/kg dexmedetomidine mixture; Group R2 received 30 mL of 0.5% ropivacaine + 5 mL of an 8 mg dexamethasone mixture. The primary observation index was the time to the first postoperative remedial analgesia. The secondary observation indexes were the intraoperative consumption of propofol and sufentanil, time to waking from anesthesia, time to extubation, postoperative numerical rating scaltpe (NRS) score, postoperative sufentanil consumption, remedial analgesic dosage, and adverse reactions.Results: When compared with Group R, the time to first postoperative remedial analgesia was longer, the intraoperative and postoperative sufentanil consumption and flurbiprofen axetil remedial analgesic dose were lower, and the time to waking from anesthesia and time to extubation were shorter in groups R1 and R2 (P < 0.05). The NRS scores at 1, 6, 12, and 24 h postoperatively in groups R1 and R2 were lower than in Group R at the same time points (P < 0.05).Conclusion: Ropivacaine with dexmedetomidine or dexamethasone in TPVB combined with ESPB could prolong the time to first postoperative remedial analgesia, reduce perioperative sufentanil and postoperative remedial analgesic drug consumption, and decrease the postoperative NRS score in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy.Keywords: ropivacaine, local anesthetic adjuvant, dexmedetomidine, dexamethasone, thoracic paravertebral nerve block, erector spinae plane block, thoracoscopic surgery, perioperative analgesia

Developing a novel agent and understanding the interaction model between multipolymer nanoparticles and bacteria could be worthwhile to induce the protection of crops with the prevalence of frequent hazards because of the use of pesticides and chemical resistance. Unlike metal nanoparticles, multipolymer nanoparticles have bacteriostatic properties against Ralstonia solanacearum that can trigger bacterial wilt by infecting the plant. Therefore, a novel poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticle containing caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) and methyl caffeate (MC) was prepared with the sustained-release property (for 10 d at pH 6.5); here, 50% of the cumulative release rate was achieved. It was observed that the cytomembrane of R. solanacearum was jeopardized by the nanoparticle by the creation of large holes on the bacterial surface. The nanoparticle has an approximate EC50 value of 0.285 mg mL−1 with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), while the drug dosage could be reduced by 2/3. Furthermore, to reveal the possible mechanism of interaction between the multipolymer nanoparticles and bacteria, a formidable inhibition effect was observed; the pathogenicity-related genes, namely, phcA, phcB, pehC, egl, pilT, and polA, of R. solanacearum were downregulated by 1/2, 1/42, 1/13, 1/6, 1/2, and 1/8, respectively, showing significant effects on the major virulence-related genes. Hence, a novel nanoparticle with excellent antibacterial and sustained-release properties has been prepared, possessing the potential to replace chemical pesticides and serve as a new control strategy for mulberry blight disease.

Terminalia Linn, a genus of mostly medium or large trees in the family Combretaceae with about 250 species in the world, is distributed mainly in southern Asia, Himalayas, Madagascar, Australia, and the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa. Many species are used widely in many traditional medicinal systems, e.g., traditional Chinese medicine, Tibetan medicine, and Indian Ayurvedic medicine practices. So far, about 39 species have been phytochemically studied, which led to the identification of 368 compounds, including terpenoids, tannins, flavonoids, phenylpropanoids, simple phenolics and so on. Some of the isolates showed various bioactivities, in vitro or in vivo, such as antitumor, anti HIV-1, antifungal, antimicrobial, antimalarial, antioxidant, diarrhea and analgesic. This review covers research articles from 1934 to 2018, retrieved from SciFinder, Wikipedia, Google Scholar, Chinese Knowledge Network and Baidu Scholar by using “Terminalia” as the search term (“all fields”) with no specific time frame setting for the search. Thirty-nine important medicinal and edible Terminalia species were selected and summarized on their geographical distribution, traditional uses, phytochemistry and related pharmacological activities.

Acetone sensor is very important to human health. However high sensitivity to trace acetone and low working temperature are highly required. In this work, we report a facile method for the preparation of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles with a small size of 10 nm. The CoFe2O4 exhibited high sensitivity to acetone. Furthermore, CoFe2O4 nanoparticles fabricated through microwave-assisted solvothermal method have higher sensitive property than that synthesized by solvothermal method. Such outstanding acetone gas sensing property might be attributed to its grain size, surface adsorbed oxygen, specific surface area, structure characteristic of spinel ferrites and the possible sensing mechanism is also discussed.

The effects of six sugar resources (fructose, glucose, sucrose, trehalose, raffinose and honey) on the longevity, oviposition performance and nutrition levels of Meteorus pulchricornis, a thelytokous larval endoparasitoid of the common cutworm Spodoptera litura were examined under laboratory conditions. Female adults of M. pulchricornis fed 1 M fructose, glucose, trehalose or sucrose solutions survived longer than those fed on other sugar solutions or water. When provided with honey or sucrose solutions, the female parasitoids laid more offspring than those fed other sugar diets or the control. The body size of offspring driven from honey-, fructose-, sucrose-, and glucose-fed females, along with water-fed group, were larger than the trehalose- and raffinose-fed females. However, the emergence rates of all offspring generated from different sugars- and water-fed females were similar. When separately given honey, sucrose or fructose, M. pulchricornis females accumulated fructose at a higher level than the other groups. Parasitoid wasps fed trehalose solution accumulated the highest level of total sugar. Glycogen levels and lipid content were highest at emergence and then decreased across all diets. In addition, females fed on trehalose had the highest level of glycogen compared to other sugar diets and water control regardless of emergency level. Females fed trehalsoe, fructose, and glucose solutions had a higher level of lipid than those fed other sugar solutions and water at life end. The outcome of this study can benefit both laboratory rearing and management interventions that improve sugar sources for the parasitoid in the field.

OBJECTIVE: To study the perinatal complications of late preterm twins (LPTs) versus early term twins (ETTs). METHODS: A retrospective analysis was performed for the complications of 246 LPTs, 496 ETTs, and their mothers. The risk factors for late preterm birth were analyzed. According to gestational age, the twins were divided into five groups: 34-34(+6) weeks (n=44), 35-35(+6) weeks (n=70), 36-36(+6) weeks (n=132), 37-37(+6) weeks (n=390), and 38-38(+6) weeks (n=106). The perinatal complications were compared between groups. RESULTS: Maternal hypertension, maternal thrombocytopenia, placenta previa, and premature rupture of membranes were independent risk factors for late preterm birth in twins (P < 0.05). The LPT group had higher incidence rates of respiratory diseases, feeding intolerance, and hypoglycemia than the ETT group (P < 0.05). The 34-34(+6) weeks group had a higher incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia than the 37-37(+6) weeks and 38-38(+6) weeks groups; and had a higher incidence rate of septicemia than 36-36(+6) weeks group (P < 0.0045). The 34-34(+6) weeks and 35-35(+6) weeks groups had higher incidence rates of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal apnea, and anemia than the other three groups; and had higher incidence rates of neonatal pneumonia, hypoglycemia and septicemia than the 37-37(+6) weeks and 38-38(+6) weeks groups (P < 0.0045). The 35-35(+6) weeks group had a higher incidence rate of feeding intolerance than the 36-36(+6) weeks, 37-37(+6) weeks, and 38-38(+6) weeks groups (P < 0.0045). The 36-36(+6) weeks group had a lower incidence rate of hypoglycemia than the 34-34(+6) weeks group and a higher incidence rate of hypoglycemia than the 37-37(+6) weeks group (P < 0.0045). CONCLUSIONS: Compared with ETTs, LPTs have an increased incidence of perinatal complications. The incidence of perinatal complications is associated with gestational ages in the LPTs and ETTs.

Contact resistance (R C ) is of great importance for radio frequency (RF) applications of graphene, especially graphene field effect transistors (FETs) with short channel. FETs and transmission line model test structures based on chemical vapor deposition grown graphene are fabricated. The effects of employing traditional lithography solvent (Acetone) and strong solvents for photo resist, such as N, N-Dimethylacetamide (ZDMAC) and N-Methyl pyrrolidone (NMP), are systematically investigated. It was found that ZDMAC and NMP have more proficiency than acetone to remove the photo-resist residues and contaminations attached on graphene surface, enabling clean surface of graphene. However, strong solvents are found to destroy the lattice structure of graphene channel and induce defects in graphene lattice. Clean surface contributes to a significant reduction in the R C between graphene channel and metal electrode, and the defects introduced on graphene surface underneath metal electrodes also contribute the reduction of R C . But defects and deformation of lattice will increase the resistance in graphene channel and lead to the compromise of device performance. To address this problem, a mix wet-chemical approach employing both acetone and ZDMAC was developed in our study to realize a 19.07% reduction of R C , without an unacceptable mass production of defects.

Recently, graphene has led to unprecedented progress in device performance at the atom limit. A high performance of field-effect transistors requires a low graphene–metal contact resistance. However, the chemical doping methods used to tailor or improve the properties of graphene are sensitive to ambient conditions. Here, we fabricate a single-layer perfluorinated polymeric sulfonic acid (PFSA), also known as Nafion, between the graphene and the substrate as a p-type dopant. The PFSA doping method, without inducing any additional structural defects, reduces the contact resistance of graphene by ∼28.8%, which has a significant impact on practical applications. This reduction can be maintained for at least 67 days due to the extreme stability of PFSA. Effective, uniform and stable, the PFSA doping method provides an efficient way to reduce the contact resistance of graphene applications.

Insecticides can have consequences for beneficial arthropods. Insect parasitoids can contact insecticides through direct exposure spray droplets or residues on crop foliage. Here, we focus on better understand the response of Meteorus pulchricornis (Wesmael), a parasitoid wasp of lepidopteran pests, and its detoxification mechanisms on stress caused by phoxim and cypermethrin. Hence, we determined the dose–mortality curves and estimating the sublethal concentrations (LC30 and LC50). Then, we applied the sublethal concentrations against adult parasitoids to assess its survival, parasitism efficacy, and also developmental and morphometric parameters of their offspring. Simultaneously, we check the activities of glutathione S-transferase (GST), acetylcholinesterase (AChE), and peroxidase (POD) after sublethal exposure of both insecticides, which has measured until 48 h after treatment. Overall, phoxim and cypermethrin exhibited acute lethal activity toward the parasitoid with LC50 values 4.608 and 8.570 mg/liter, respectively. Also, we detect that LC30 was able to trigger the enzymatic activity of GST, AChE, and POD, suggesting a potential detoxification mechanism. However, even when subjected to sublethal exposure, our results indicate strong negatives effects, in particular for phoxim, which has affected the parasitism efficacy and also the developmental and morphometric parameters of M. pulchricornis offspring. Therefore, it can be concluded that both phoxim and cypermethrin have negative impacts on M. pulchricornis and we suggest cautioning their use and the need for semifield and field assessments to confirm such an impact.

Zinc oxide nanorods with germanium doping were prepared by ion implantation and annealing treatment method, the microstructural and optical properties of which were studied by means of the X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence, and transmission electron microscopy measurements. The pristine sample exhibited a remarkable ultraviolet emission owing to the band edge emission from the zinc oxide matrix, indicated a good crystalline quality. Three emission peaks appeared after germanium ions were doped into zinc oxide nanorods. The 513 nm photoluminescence peak was ascribed to the transition between the vacancy defect in zinc oxide matrix. Photoluminescence peaks located at 548 and 778 nm were ascribed to germanium ions luminescence center in zinc germanate grain and germanium monoxide luminescence center. The light emission tuning was obtained by germanium doping and annealing treatment, which may help the development of the practical optoelectronic devices based on zinc oxide nanomaterials.

We numerically studied the spin-dependent optical torque on a 2D chiral plasmonic nanomotor excited by circularly polarized lights. An interesting phenomenon of so-called negative optical torque is demonstrated on condition that the scattering optical torque is opposite to and larger than absorption optical torque under a plasmonic resonance of dipolar mode. Moreover, the calculated optical torque, exerted on the nanomotor, is monotonically tunable depending on the ellipticity of light. It is theoretically estimated that the spin-dependent rotation frequency can be modulated from about 3.56 kHz to 8.91 kHz under incident intensity of 1 mW ∕ μ m 2 . Our results demonstrate a counterintuitive rotation phenomenon on light-driven 2D chiral nanomotor, and open a manipulation avenue to control optically-induced torque via absorption and/or scattering of light by 2D chiral plasmonic meta-atom.

We propose a ring-groove nanostructure which can achieve toroidal dipolar resonance under normal incidence, and find that this design, due to the strong field confinement for this dipolar resonance, can simultaneously enhance the radiative decay rate and achieve high degree of linear polarization of the fluorescence emission. In addition, both radiation enhancement and degree of linear polarization are higher than those by other structure that cannot obtain toroidal dipolar resonance. It is expected that this design can promote the development of polarized light-emitting devices with enhanced emission intensity and potentially functional toroidal metasurface lasers.

Glyphodes pyloalis Walker (G. pyloalis) causes significant damage to mulberry every year, and we currently lack effective and environmentally friendly ways to control the pest. Chitin synthase (CHS) is a critical regulatory enzyme related to chitin biosynthesis, which plays a vital role in the growth and development of insects. The function of CHS in G. pyloalis, however, has not been studied. In this study, two chitin synthase genes (GpCHSA and GpCHSB) were screened from our previously created transcriptome database. The complete coding sequences of the two genes are 5,955 bp and 5,896 bp, respectively. Expression of GpCHSA and GpCHSB could be detected throughout all developmental stages. Relatively high expression levels of GpCHSA occurred in the head and integument and GpCHSB was most highly expressed in the midgut. Moreover, silencing of GpCHSA and GpCHSB using dsRNA reduced expression of downstream chitin metabolism pathway genes and resulted in abnormal development and wings stretching, but did not affect normal pupating of larvae. Furthermore, the inhibitor of chitin synthesis diflubenzuron (DFB) was used to further validate the RNAi result. DFB treatment significantly improved expression of GpCHSA, except GpCHSB, and their downstream genes, and also effected G. Pyloali molting at 48 h (62% mortality rate) and 72 h (90% mortality rate), respectively. These results show that GpCHSA and GpCHSB play critical roles in the development and wing stretching in G. pyloalis adults, indicating that the genes are attractive potential pest control targets.

An elaborated phytochemical study on the fresh fruits of Terminalia chebula var. tomentella (Combretaceae) led to the isolation of five new lignans, including three tetrahydrofuran (1–3) and two furofuran (4 and 5) derivatives, namely termitomenins A-E (1–5), along with 10 known ones. All of them were obtained from the titled plant for the first time. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D/2D NMR, MS, UV, IR, electronic circular dichroism (ECD), time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) calculation of ECD spectra, and single crystal X-ray diffraction in case of 3. Compounds 1–15 exhibited certain anti-inflammatory activities. Interestingly, compounds 6 (IC50 = 18.17 ± 0.57 μM) and 7 (IC50 = 13.66 ± 0.38 μM) which contain an aldehyde group displayed stronger NO inhibitory activity than the positive control L-NMMA (IC50 = 42.34 ± 0.66 μM).

Glyphodes pyloalis Walker (Lepidoptera: Pyralididae) is a serious pest in the sericulture industry, which has caused damage and losses in recent years. With the widespread use of insecticides, the insecticide resistance of G. pyloalis has becomes increasingly apparent. In order to find other effective methods to control G. pyloalis, this study performed a transcriptome analysis of the midgut, integument, and whole larvae. Transcriptome data were annotated with KEGG and GO, and they have been shown to be of high quality by RT-qPCR. The different significant categories of differentially expressed genes between the midgut and the integument suggested that the transcriptome data could be used for next analysis. With the exception of Dda9 (GpCDA5), 19 genes were involved in chitin metabolism, most of which had close protein&ndash, protein interactions. Among them, the expression levels of 11 genes, including GpCHSA, GpCDA1, GpCDA2, GpCDA4, GPCHT1, GPCHT2a, GPCHT3a, GPCHT7, GpTre1, GpTre2, and GpRtv were higher in the integument than in the midgut, while the expression levels of the last eight genes, including GpCHSB, GpCDA5, GpCHT2b, GpCHT3b, GpCHT-h, GpPAGM, GpNAGK, and GpUAP, were higher in the midgut than in the integument. Moreover, 282 detoxification-related genes were identified and can be divided into 10 categories, including cytochrome P450, glutathione S-transferase, carboxylesterase, nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, aquaporin, chloride channel, methoprene-tolerant, serine protease inhibitor, sodium channel, and calcium channel. In order to further study the function of chitin metabolism-related genes, dsRNA injection knocked down the expression of GpCDA1 and GpCHT3a, resulting in the significant downregulation of its downstream genes. These results provide an overview of chitin metabolism and detoxification of G. pyloalis and lay the foundation for the effective control of this pest in the sericulture industry.

The objective of the present study was to find the influence of powder feed rate on macroscopic morphology, microstructure and hardness of F313 iron-based alloy clad coatings. Controlling powder feed rate can assist with achieving favorable macroscopic morphology, microstructure and hardness. Four different powder feed rate were used in our experiments to prepare clad coatings. The macroscopic morphology, microstructure and hardness were tested using OM, SEM, and Vickers hardness tester. The study founds decreasing powder feed rate is possible to achieve smoother surface, but at the same time thickness of coatings get thinner. Microstructure of cross sections is divided into inter-dendrites eutectic structure and dendritic matrix. In the upper region the microstructure tends to be formed of cellular-like dendrites whereas in the lower region branch-like dendrites tend to form. Hardness decreases with increasing of powder feed rate generally.

Aiming at the issues of the autopilot that has many fault types, less data sample and less test interface, this paper analyzes the fault isolation ability of automatic test system in detail. Moreover, the knowledge acquisition method based on simulation is studied so that the existing drive instrument test system is improved. In addition, an improved support vector machine inference algorithm is proposed. Based on this, a new method of fault diagnosis of a testing system is presented. Finally, some examples are given to verify the correctness and validity of the method. The successful application in a certain missile drive device shows that the method can achieve good diagnosis results.

Based on the product injury data provided by the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) in the US and the National Injury Surveillance System (NISS) in China, different features of Chinese and American product injuries have been analyzed. American product injuries are mainly focused on children, teenagers and senior citizens, while Chinese product injuries are mainly focused on working-age population. In the US, the percentage of men injured by products is close to that of women. But in China, the percentage of men injured by products is almost twice that of women, showing a distinct gender difference. In the US, the percentage of people injured by product treated and recovered is higher than in China, while the percentage of the hospitalized and dead is lower than in China.

As the resources & environment issues faced by various countries and regions in social and economic development become more and more prominent, green government procurement has drawn widespread attention of all the countries. Implementation of green government procurement can guide the society’s concept of green consumption, promote the development of green industries and technologies, guide and cultivate a host of green products and industries, and enhance the public’s environmental awareness. Through analyzing the modes of green government procurement adopted by the US, the EU and Japan, especially the performance indexes of green products, this paper has comparatively analyzed the differences between China and developed countries in green procurement measures, and put forward the direction for our country to improve the policies of green government procurement.

With the development of highways and the improvement in vehicle performance, vehicle speed has become faster and faster, causing more and more frequent accidents. As an auxiliary configuration of vehicle body’s passive safety, SRS (supplemental inflatable restraint system) often serves as a key component providing protection for both the driver and passengers and thus receives increasing attention. By taking the latest recall case base in 2012 and 2013 as a blue print, this paper analyzes 111 SRS-caused recalls implemented by China, the US, the EU and Australia respectively, discusses main defect forms of SRS, and finally proposes the improvement suggestions on safety techniques in design and manufacturing.

As high-tech product, automobile show defects in various categories and patterns. The paper introduces five categories of manufacturing defects based on 978 recalls in 2012 in China, USA and Japan. Parts involving in manufacturing defects and main defect patterns are discussed and recommendations for improvement in safety of manufacturing process provided.

With National Injury Surveillance System (NISS) as data source and 6,683 cases of injuries by household necessities in 2012 as study sample, the classification tree model was established to analyze the typical pattern of product injury of household necessities. The suggestions were put forward that the daily ceramics should be designed as per usage requirements to determine the structure style of modeling shape and the ratio scale, etc. The reverse engineering system should be incorporated into the design of daily plastics, glasses and daily groceries to pertinently improve the design of product components that may lead to injuries. Hand tools and hardware should be properly designed to avoid the possible product hazard and to reduce the risk of problem arising by means of additional special protection system.

The automobile is a complex man-machine-environment system and its quality safety is extensively influenced by the ergonomic factors. In this paper, the judging criterion for the ergonomic safety factors in the automobile recall cases was proposed based on the ergonomics theory. The ergonomic factors for the design and manufacture defects of automobile were analyzed by taking the automobile recall cases in China in 2012 for example. At last, some suggestions were put forward for removing the automobile defects and improving the design and manufacture of automobiles specific to the ergonomic defects of safety belt, seats, airbag and other typical components.

This paper mainly introduces a new design about intelligent greenhouse control system based on system on a programmable chip, which is PSoC. This paper first introduces the current advanced characteristics of this system on a programmable chip PSoC with digital and analog mixed processing ability, and then focuses on the system structure, working principle, the realization of hardware module and software design method of the intelligent greenhouse control system based on PsoC platform.

A study about the ultrasonic extraction, antioxidant capacity and identification of phenolics from Semen Astragali Complanati was undertaken. The optimised extraction condition with an orthogonal experiment design of L 9 (3 4 ) was 50 °C, 30 min and 15:1 (methanol solution:sample, mL:g). An extraction yield of 40.12 ± 1.10 mg gallic acid/g dry seed and the antioxidant capacity of 0.85 ± 0.13 mg dry extract/mg DPPH were obtained with the optimum condition, respectively. For each extraction set, the antioxidant capacity by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical assay highly correlated to its total phenolic content by Folin–Ciocalteu method. Twelve phenolic components obtained with the optimised extraction procedure were tentatively identified by Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography coupled with Q-TOF Mass Spectrometer (UPLC-Q-TOF) according to their mass spectrometry, UV/vis spectrometry, and related literature reports. Furthermore, the ultrasonic effect on the particles’ microstructure of Semen Astragali Complanati was also investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis.

The injury characteristics of baby walkers were analyzed based on injury data about baby walkers from the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) of U.S. and the National Injury Related Products Surveillance System (NISS) of China. The main causes for the baby walkers injuries were identified by testing and evaluation, including insufficient anti-collision space, low designed static and dynamic strength, substandard outsourced casters and the processing technique not in conformity with the requirements for accessible parts. Such suggestions were put forward as increasing the anti-collision space, enhancing the strength of structural materials, performing stricter acceptance check for the outsourced casters and confirming the process inspection of semi-finished products.

Communication network plays a vital role in smart substations. Different network topology provides different network performance, while the quality of network performance directly impacts the reliability of the entire system. In view of the network topology of smart substations, this paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of different network topologies as well as different network schemes of substation layer and process layer, and also analyzes the relationship between the reliability of network system and network topology, which play an important role in establishing a reliable and efficient smart substation system.

A new polymer of epichlorohydrin-ethylenediamine was obtained by suspension polycondensation of ethylenediamine with epichlorohydrin. The color removal performance and mechanism of the polymer in the treatment of synthetic reactive dyes wastewater was investigated, and in comparison with polymeric aluminum ferric chloride (PAFC) and polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride (PDMDAAC). The results showed that epichlorohydrin-ethylenediamine achieved higher color removal efficiency, and its adsorption-bridging and electric neutralization ability playedimportant roles in the flocculation process.

Background: The objective of the current meta.analysis was to assess the arterial spin labeling. (ASL) perfusion imaging measurement of cerebral blood flow. (CBF) in patients with brain tumors, and assessing preoperative tumor grade in brain. Materials and Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, China BioMedicine (CBM), CINAHL, Cochrane Library, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases were chosen to evaluate the associations between ASL and brain cancer. Two reviewers separately evaluated the quality of the included trials. Standardized mean difference (SMD) at 95% confidence interval (95% CI) was also calculated. Results: Finally, 475 patients were enrolled into this meta-analysis from 12 eligible studies and were selected for statistical analysis. Results showed that relative tumor blood flow (rTBF) and relative cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in high-grade brain cancer patients were faster than those in low-grade brain cancer patients. Subgroup analysis stratified by country implied that ASL may be the main prediction of increased rTBF in high-grade brain cancer patients among USA, Korea and China; and rCBF was faster in high-grade brain cancer using ASL in USA and China. Further reference by tissue-stratified analysis revealed a positive association of rTBF with high-grade brain cancer by utilization of ASL in all the experimental subgroups, while rCBF was only correlated in white subgroups. Conclusion: These results showed that rTBF and rCBF were faster in high-grade brain cancer patients, suggesting that ASL may provide suitable measurement for the differential diagnosis of tumor grade in brain.

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect and safety of intensive phototherapy in the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. METHODS: A total of 144 neonates with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia were randomly and prospectively divided into intensive phototherapy group and conventional phototherapy group, with 72 neonates in each group. The therapeutic effect and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: Within 12 hours after phototherapy, the total serum bilirubin level in the intensive phototherapy group was significantly lower than in the conventional phototherapy group (P < 0.05), and the intensive phototherapy group had a significantly greater reduction in serum bilirubin level than the conventional phototherapy group (P < 0.05). The intensives phototherapy group had a significantly shorter time of phototherapy than the conventional phototherapy group (P < 0.05). The incidence rates of fever, diarrhea, rash, and hypocalcemia and reductions in blood calcium and hemoglobin levels after phototherapy showed no significant differences between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: During the initial stage of phototherapy, intensive phototherapy can quickly and effectively reduce the serum level of bilirubin in neonates with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. It can also shorten the total phototherapy time, and does not increase the incidence of adverse events. Therefore, it is superior to conventional phototherapy.

Recent research shows that there is a serious need for accurate methods to evaluate the deformation resistance of asphalt mixtures at high temperatures, especially for stone-skeleton mixtures. To reflect the interlocking angle between coarse aggregates, confining pressure should be considered during testing. The dynamic loading test has been developed for applying different repetitive loads to a limited area of the specimen. This test can measure permanent deformation indices under different loads to evaluate the deformation resistance of asphalt mixtures at high temperatures. The dynamic loading test is conducted on samples with different compaction rates and gradations. Further, the rutting resistance of two types of gradation is compared with a wheel tracking test and a dynamic loading test. The test results indicate that the dynamic loading test can apparently distinguish the influence of gradations on rutting resistance. It is also derived from this test that dense-graded mixtures have higher permanent deformation susceptibility than coarse-graded mixtures, which is consistent with experience in the field and validated by experiments. This test can reflect the entire permanent deformation and separate the compactive deformation and shear flow deformation. Furthermore, this test can simulate heavy and repeated loads to fully exhibit the deformation resistance of asphalt mixtures, especially for coarse-graded mixtures. However, this test is limited by the effects of rigid confinement, which can be improved by changing the confining pressure.

Due to the complex working and storage environment for airplanes, the consumptive failures of airborne products are unavoidable. Aiming at the problem that degradation behaviors that cause this kind of failures are frequently neglected, based on the concept of degradation for airborne products, a new method of conducting research that treats aging process as a critical degradation behavior is presented. According to the characteristics of airborne mechano-electronic products, steering engine is defined as a critical airplane airborne mechano-electronic product. Through detailed analysis of the vulnerable area of steering engine, the failure mechanism of aging of steering engine rubber seal is discussed. The degradation model of steering engine rubber seal is presented. Finally, feasibility of the method that replaces the research of degradation behavior of the airborne mechano-electronic products with that of aging is verified.
