Anthrax is a natural foci disease in Inner Mongolia, which poses a severe threat to public health. In this study, the incidence number, rate and constituent ratio were used to describe the epidemiological characteristics of anthrax in the region from 1956-2018. The molecular correlation and genetic characteristics of the strains were investigated using canonical single nucleotide polymorphisms (CanSNP), multiple-locus variable-number tandem repeat analysis (MLVA-15) and whole genome sequencing (WGS). The epidemiological characteristics of anthrax in Inner Mongolia have altered significantly. The incidence of anthrax has decreased annually without vaccination, and the regional distribution of anthrax gradually transferred from central and western regions to the eastern. Moreover, the occupation distribution evolved from multiple early occupations to predominated by farmers and herdsmen. This change is closely related to policy factors and to changes in the means of production and the living habits of the local population. This indicates that reformulating the control and prevention strategies is essential. Both A. Br. Ames and A. Br. 001/002 subgroups were the predominant CanSNP genotypes of Bacillus anthracis in Inner Mongolia. A total of 36 strains constituted six shared MLVA-15 genotypes, suggesting an epidemiological link between the strains of each shared genotype. The six shared genotypes ([GT1, 9, 11 and 15] and [GT8 and 12]) consisting of 2-7 strains confirmed the occurrence of multiple point outbreaks and cross-regional transmission caused by multiple common sources of infection. Phylogenetic analysis based on the WGS core genome showed that strains from this study formed an independent clade (C.V.), and they were positioned close to each other, suggesting a common origin. Further comparison analysis should be performed to ascertain the geographic origin of these strains.

Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) is one of the most-characterized cytoplasmic DNA sensors in humans and other mammals. However, knowledge about cGAS homologs in nonmammalian species remains limited. In this study, we report the molecular and functional identification of two cGAS homologs, namely, DrcGASa and DrcGASb, from a zebrafish (Danio rerio) model. DrcGASa and DrcGASb share the same overall conservative structural architectures and functional domains/residues to mammalian cGASs. Both homologs synthesized a 2'3'-cGAMP isomer but not a 3'3'-cGAMP isomer via oligomerization in response to DNA stimulation. Overexpression of DrcGASa/b in HEK293T cells and zebrafish embryos significantly activated NF-κB and IFN-I signaling pathways in a STING-dependent manner. Knockdown of DrcGASa or DrSTING impaired such activations, thereby reducing the host innate immunity against bacterial and viral infections. DrcGASa, but not DrcGASb, was involved in immunoglobulin Z-mediated mucosal immunity in gill-associated lymphoid tissue, suggesting differential functions between the two DrcGASs. This reaction was associated with the DrcGAS-DrSTING-IFNφ1 signaling axis in GALT's γδ T cells. Our findings provide experimental evidence that a modern cGAS-STING pathway that mainly participates in IFN-mediated immunity originated from teleost fish based on the functional constraint of cGAS and STING proteins during vertebrate evolution.

Breast cancer is the most dominant cancer in women and the second most frequent cancer in the general population worldwide. NLRC5 critically transactivates MHC class I (classically HLA-ABC in human) which is crucial for cancer immunosurveillance. But the expressional and functional impairments of NLRC5 have been found in many cancers as a major mechanism of immune evasion. Promotion of NLRC5 with the enhancement of MHC class I contributes to cancer immunotherapy and counteraction against cancer immune evasion. In many cancers, IFN-γ promotes the expression of MHC class I involving NLRC5; however, it is unclear in breast cancer cells. A mononuclear dysprosium(III)/gallium(III) metallacrown complex, {[DyGa4(Hnha)2(nha)4(NO3)(C5H5N)4](C5H6N)2}·(H2O)10 (1·H2O), was synthesized with a hydroxamic ligand: 3-hydroxy-2-napthanoic hydroxamic acid (H3nha). Meanwhile, the molecular structure was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, and the DyIII centre is nine-coordinate and adopts a distorted tricapped trigonal prism coordination geometry as indicated by continued shape measurements (CShM) SHAPE analysis. In addition, the dynamic magnetization studies revealed that complex 1 displayed field-induced single-molecule magnet behaviour with an effective energy barrier Ueff = 26.4 K and pre-exponential factor τ0 = 2.2 × 10−6 s.

A series of low-temperature tests on axial compression behaviours of 18 stub columns were presented in this paper, which included eight unconfined reinforced concrete columns (URCC) and ten reinforced concrete-filled GFRP tubes (RCFFTs). Regarding the compression tests on RCFFTs, axial compression load was applied to both inside confined reinforced concrete column (CRCC) and GFRP tube. The studied parameters of this paper included low temperatures of 20, −30, −60, and −80 ℃, diameter-to-thickness ratios of 20, 21, 30, 40, and 50, reinforcement ratio of 2.18% and 3.84%, and reinforcement type of steel reinforcement and GFRP bar. The failure modes, axial compression load–strain curves, and compressive stress–strain curves of RCFFTs at low temperatures have been revealed. Meanwhile, the influences of different parameters on the ultimate compression resistance, ultimate compression strength, stiffness, ultimate axial strain, and ultimate hoop rupture strain of RCFFTs at low temperatures were detailly discussed. These results indicated that low temperature generally improved the axial compression behaviours of RCFFTs. According to the test results, prediction formulae have been proposed to determine the ultimate compression resistance and ultimate axial strain of RCFFTs reasonably but conservatively at low temperatures, which considered the influence of longitudinal reinforcements and ties.

Non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is among the leading causes of cancer‑associated mortality worldwide. In clinical practice, therapeutic strategies based on drug combinations are often used for the treatment of various types of cancer. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of the combination of dihydroartemisinin (DHA) and gefitinib on NSCLC. Cell Counting kit 8 assay was used to evaluate cell viability. Transwell assays were performed to investigate cellular migration and invasion, and cellular apoptosis was evaluated using the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick‑end labeling assay. Flow cytometry was used to investigate cell cycle distribution and the expression levels of target proteins were determined using western blot analysis. The results of the present study demonstrated that DHA (5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 µM) reduced cancer cell viability in a dose‑dependent manner in the NCI‑H1975 human NSCLC cell line and significantly enhanced gefitinib‑induced apoptosis. Furthermore, DHA and gefitinib co‑administration induced cell cycle arrest in G2/M phase, which was associated with a marked decline in the protein expression levels of G2/M regulatory proteins, including cyclin B1 and cyclin‑dependent kinase 1. The addition of DHA appeared to potentiate the inhibitory actions of gefitinib on the migratory and invasive capabilities of NCI‑H1975 cells. DHA and gefitinib co‑administration also downregulated the expression levels of phosphorylated (p)‑Akt, p‑mechanistic target of rapamycin, p‑signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 and B‑cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl‑2), and upregulated the expression of Bcl‑2‑associated X protein. In conclusion, the present results suggested that the combination of DHA and gefitinib may have potential as a novel and more effective therapeutic strategy for the treatment of patients with NSCLC.

As one of the isoprenoids and widely derived from many fruits and vegetables, β-ionone (BI) has a potent inhibitory proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. However, its exact mechanism is still uncompleted understood and needs to be further verified. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), as a potential target of cancer chemoprevention, has been played pivotal roles in proliferation of tumor cells and carcinogenesis. Thus, the objective of present study was to determine that BI inhibited the activity of COX-2 in breast cancer and related to cancer cell models. Cell proliferation, DNA synthesis, the distribution of cell cycle, apoptosis induction and the expression of P38-MAPK protein were determined in MCF-7 cells by methylene blue, 3H-thymidine (TdR) incorporation, flow cytometry, TUNEL and Western blotting assays. Quinone reductase (QR) activity was determined in murine hepatoma Hepa1c1c7 cells by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The expression of COX-2 in a phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA)-induced cell model and mammary tumor tissues was examined by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The results showed that BI significantly inhibited cell proliferation and DNA synthesis, arrested the distribution of cell cycle at the S phase or decreased proteins related to cell cycle such as cyclin D1 and CDK4, induced apoptosis and increased the expression of p-P38 in MCF-7 cells. Herein we design a fiber sensor able to simultaneously measure the temperature and the pressure under harsh conditions, such as strong electromagnetic interference and high pressure. It is built on the basis of the fiber-optic Fabry&ndash, Perot (F&ndash, P) interference and the temperature sensitive mechanism of fluorescent materials. Both halogen lamps and light-emitting diodes (LED) are employed as the excitation light source. The reflected light from the sensor contains the low coherent information of interference cavity and the fluorescent lifetime. This information is independent due to the separate optical path and the different demodulation device. It delivers the messages of pressure and temperature, respectively. It is demonstrated that the sensor achieved pressure measurement at the range of 120&ndash, 400 KPa at room temperature with a sensitivity of 1.5 nm/KPa. Moreover, the linearity of pressure against the cavity length variation was over 99.9%. In the meantime, a temperature measurement in the range of 25&ndash, 80 &deg, C, with a sensitivity of 0.0048 ms/&deg, C, was obtained. These experimental results evince that this kind of sensor has a simple configuration, low-cost, and easy fabrication. As such, it can be particularly applied to many fields.

Background Cranioplasty is considered as a routine procedure in everyday neurosurgical practice for the patient with cranial defect, however, there is no established consensus on optimal surgical timing. Objective To compare the effect of early cranioplasty (1–3 months after DC) and late cranioplasty (3–6 months after DC) on the complications and recovery of neurological function in the management of patients who received decompressive craniotomy. Methods In this paper, the authors report a systematic review and meta-analysis of operative time, complications and neurological function outcomes on different timing of cranioplasty. Randomized or non-randomized controlled trials of early cranioplasty and late cranioplasty surgery were considered for inclusion. Results Nine published reports of eligible studies involving 1209 participants meet the inclusion criteria. Compared with late cranioplasty, early cranioplasty had no significant difference in overall complications [RR=1.14, 95%CI (0.83, 1.55), p >0.05], infection rates [RR=0.87, 95%CI (0.47, 1.61), p >0.05], intracranial hematoma [RR=1.09, 95%CI (0.53, 2.25), p >0.05]; subdural fluid collection [RR=0.47, 95%CI (0.15, 1.41), p >0.05]. However, early CP significantly reduced the duration of cranioplasty [mean difference=−13.46, 95%CI (−21.26, 5.67), p p Conclusion Early CP can only reduce the duration of operation, but cannot reduce the complications of patients and even increase the risk of hydrocephalus. More evidence from advanced multi-center studies is needed to provide illumination for the timing selection of CP surgery.

The present study investigated the physicochemical properties of pastirma prepared from beef, mutton, pork and horse meat. Left semimembranosus muscles from four carcasses of each species were processed into pastirma and the corresponding right muscles were used fresh for comparison. The proximate composition, pH, lipid oxidation, fatty acid profile and color of fresh and processed samples were determined. The shear force of the processed samples was also evaluated. This paper analyzes the relationship between land-use change and the water quality, and introduces the common used water quality model.

Coarse Mesh Finite Difference (CMFD) has been widely adopted as an effective way to accelerate the source iteration of transport calculation. However in a core with hexagonal assemblies there are non-hexagonal meshes around the edges of assemblies, causing a problem for CMFD if the CMFD equations are still to be solved via tri-diagonal matrix inversion by simply scanning the whole core meshes in different directions. To solve this problem, we propose an unequal mesh CMFD formulation that combines the non-hexagonal cells on the boundary of neighboring assemblies into non-regular hexagonal cells. We also investigated the alternative hardware acceleration of using graphics processing units (GPU) with graphics card in a personal computer. The tool CUDA is employed, which is a parallel computing platform and programming model invented by the company NVIDIA for harnessing the power of GPU. To investigate and implement these two acceleration methods, a 2-D hexagonal core transport code using the method of characteristics (MOC) is developed. A hexagonal mini-core benchmark problem is established to confirm the accuracy of the MOC code and to assess the effectiveness of CMFD and GPU parallel acceleration. For this benchmark problem, the CMFD acceleration increases the speed 16 times while the GPU acceleration speeds it up 25 times. When used simultaneously, they provide a speed gain of 292 times.

Riparian buffer zones (RBZ) plays important roles in the quality of surface water, the width and the connection of RBZ are related with the pollution removal effect. This paper evaluates the RBZ conditions in the basin of Xiquanyan reservoir which is an alternative drinking water supply reservoir. Using the software of ENVI to extract the RBZ distribution map from the image of Landsat 8; GIS and Fragstats were used to evaluate the status of RBZ. Divide the basin of Xiquanyan reservoir in to four divisions. The river lengthy, areas, average width of RBZ, SD, AI, and CONTAG were identified in each division. The result shows: (1) The total area of RBZ in the basin of Xiquanyan reservoir is adequate; however, the distribution of RBZ is uneven, part of it is too large, part of it is too small; (2) the connection of RBZ is good in part of the basin, it needs to improve the quality in the fourth division, western part of the Xiquanyan reservoir.

The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model was examined for its applicability in modeling stream-flow and nutrients (total nitrogen, TN and total phosphorus, TP) in Ashi River Basin, China covering an area of 3545 km2. This model was calibrated by using the observed data of monthly flow during 1996-2005 and nutrients (TN and TP) during 2006-2008, and validated by using the observed data of monthly flow during 2006-2010 and water quality during 2009-2010. For stream-flow, the monthly results of RE, R2 and ENS values reached 6.42%, 0.61 and 0.59 respectively for calibration period, whereas these were-12.83%, 0.69 and 0.67, respectively for validation period; for TN calibration, values of RE, R2 and ENS were-18.33%, 0.64 and 0.55 respectively, and for validation period they were-17.34%, 0.68 and 0.57 respectively; for TP calibration, values of RE, R2 and ENS were-4.32%, 0.61 and 0.56 respectively, and for validation period they were-18.02%, 0.67 and 0.58 respectively. Results show that SWAT has applicability in modeling stream-flow and nutrients (TN and TP) in cold and flat area.

Soil respiration can be altered by changing substance supply, respiratory capacity and the demand for the products. We carried out a field experiment in the northeast of China to understand how inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) alters soil respiration in paddy fields. Soil respiration and factors contributing to it were measured for paddy fields either inoculated or non-inoculated with AMF, with or without fertilization. We found that inoculation increased soil respiration, net photosynthesis of rice leaves, N and P content of rice shoots and the abundance of actinomyces and fungi in rhizosphere; while the negative effect was only observed on root biomass. We also found that fertilization decreased the responses of soil respiration, root biomass and the abundance of bacteria and fungi in rhizosphere to inoculation. However, it decreased the responses of net photosynthesis, shoot biomass and shoot N and P content to inoculation. Conclusively, AMF inoculation promoted soil respiration by enhancing substrate supply, respiratory capacity and the demand for products; while the impacts of inoculation were weakened by fertilization via respiration capacity and the demand for the products.

Hepcidin acts as both an antimicrobial peptide and a hormonal regulator of iron homeostasis; however, the biological significance of this dual-function in immune reactions remains elusive. In this study, we provide experimental evidence regarding the coordination of this dual-function in the innate antimicrobial immunity using a zebrafish model. The transcription of hepcidin gene was significantly upregulated in liver by Aeromonas hydrophila (A.h) DNA stimulation, which was accompanied by an increase of hepcidin protein and a decrease of iron concentration in serum. Thus, an enhanced bactericidal activity against A.h and Escherichia coli and inhibitory effects on A.h growth and OmpA expression were observed in A.h cells, the latter of which made the bacterium more susceptible to complement attack. The enhanced bacteriostatic activities in serum following the stimulation were dramatically impaired by neutralizing hepcidin or restoring iron to the samples. Immuno-protection assay showed that zebrafish administrated with A.h DNA or designed CpG-ODNs had a significantly enhanced defence against A.h and Vibrio alginolyticus infections, which was also eliminated by the neutralization of hepcidin. Results indicate that the induction of hepcidin leads to the decrease of iron in circulation, which eventually limits iron availability to invading microorganisms, thus contributing to host defence.

Recent studies have suggested that rehabilitation therapy can accelerate functional recovery after a stroke. Although often overlooked, the cortical hemisphere contralateral to an infarction plays an important role. This study investigates alterations in metabolism of both the damaged ('ipsilateral') as well as the undamaged ('contralateral') hemisphere using F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-micro-positron emission tomography (PET) in a rat permanent stroke model (with or without post- injury exercise) in order to elucidate the relative importance of either hemisphere to the recovery process following stroke. Methods: Thirty-six adult, male Sprague- Dawley rats were divided into four groups before subsequent surgery: sham controls with or without exercise, and ischemic ('stroke') groups with or without exercise. Fluorodeoxyglucose micro- PET imaging was performed at 7, 14, and 21 days after the designated procedure according to group assignment. The imaging data was analyzed by ANOVA using SPMratIHEP software. Results: Both exercise and ischemia have measurable effects on the motor cortex as well as on the striatum, the effects of which notably include the contralateral hemisphere. To that end, regions of the contralateral motor cortex and striatum have been found to be in a hypermetabolic state following exercise. We further observed that exercise reversed the hypometabolism caused by ischemia back to control levels from day 7 through day 21 on the ipsilateral side. Its effect on the contralateral hemisphere, notably, bolsters an already vigorous response observed after ischemic insult. Thus, the beneficial effect of exercise, as inferred by an increase in metabolic activity, is evident in both hemispheres. Discussion: These findings suggest that the contralateral hemisphere can compensate for the damaged cortex by remodeling neuronal activity. Thus, clinical treatments specifically targeted to the ` intact'hemisphere following stroke may provide a complimentary strategy for promoting recovery of functional deficits and for improving quality of life in stroke patients.

Ellagic acid has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. In this study, our aim was to investigate whether ellagic acid inhibits the proliferation of MCF- 7 human breast cancer cells via regulation of the TGF-β/Smad3 signaling pathway. MCF-7 breast cancer cells were transfected with pEGFP-C3 or pEGFP-C3/Smad3 plasmids, and treated with ellagic acid alone or in combination with SIS3, a specific inhibitor of Smad3 phosphorylation. Cell proliferation was assessed by MTT assay and the cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry. Moreover, gene expression was detected by RT-PCR, real-time PCR and Western blot analysis. The MTT assay showed that SIS3 attenuated the inhibitory activity of ellagic acid on the proliferation of MCF-7 cells. Flow cytometry revealed that ellagic acid induced G0/G1 cell cycle arrest which was mitigated by SIS3. Moreover, SIS3 reversed the effects of ellagic acid on the expression of downstream targets of the TGF-β/Smad3 pathway. In conclusion, ellagic acid leads to decreased phosphorylation of RB proteins mainly through modulation of the TGF-β/Smad3 pathway, and thereby inhibits the proliferation of MCF-7 breast cancer cells.

Fabric, our second skin with moisture and thermal capacity for skin temperature regulation, can arouse feelings of pleasant and discomfort. To examine the neurocognitive ability and emotion of fabric tactile perception under different local temperatures, we used functional magnetic resonance imaging with the same denim fabric stimuli and forearm contact area, and found a functional dissociation: the affective regions was more involved during warm condition; the discriminative regions were more involved during neutral condition; the basis regions were significance during cool condition. The higher local skin temperature environment can result in the improvement of sensitivity and discriminability by dorsal pathway (spatial) and ventral pathway (frequency) for fabric perception. Our results help to explain how the brain uses internal models to interpret external fabric tactile stimuli with micro environmental change.

Size-illusion of color can affect wearing performance. In the current study, three styles of clothing and a rectangular piece whose area was similar to those of the clothing with various colors were evaluated in behavioral experiments. The purpose of the study is to explore the influence of saturation, brightness and hue of colors on size-illusion. Results show that size-illusion is most outstanding on the dimension of brightness, and it is more prominent on clothes than on color pieces. The picture with high saturation is bigger than that of low saturation, with high brightness or with longer wavelength displays an expansion effect. The size-illusion may be related with the background color.

This paper based on a foundation pit in Tianjin shown the monitoring data and simulated the excavation process by finite element software ABAQUS. The lateral and vertical displacement of the top of slope obtained by calculating at different excavation stages were compared with the measured values. At last this paper made a conclusion about the deformation rules in the process of excavation, which can provide reference for design and construction of similar engineering.

In current study, behavioral measures were conducted to investigate clothing color. The purpose was to focus on the rule that color brightness influencedpositive-negative emotional categorization. Results showed that the effect of brightness on clothing color emotion categorization was significant. With the increase of brightness, the variation curve of positive emotion appears to be a “U-shaped”, whereas that of the negative emotion shows an upside down “U-shaped”. Compared with the low brightness colors, the emotion reaction to the high brightness colors was more positive; Most of the colors with different brightness scales were classified as positive emotions and the minors were classified as negative emotions; the positive colors could be done much faster than the negative ones.

A new solid cerium complex, was synthesized by 8-hydroxyquinoline and cerium nitrate in the ethanol-aqueous solution. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR. The results indicate that the complex is Ce(C9H6NO)3. The tribological properties of the Ce(C9H6NO)3particles as additive in paraffin oil was investigatedon MRS-10A four-ball tester, the results indicate that Ce(C9H6NO)3particles as additive can be effective in improving anti-wear ability, in enhancing extreme-pressure capacity. The wear scar width can be decreased 0.3mm when the additive in paraffin oil is about 0.25wt.%, when the additive in paraffin oil is about 0.5wt.%, load-carrying capacity can improve 29%. The morphologies, typical element distribution of the worn surfaces were characterized by SEM and EDS, respectively. Its anti-wear mechanism as follows: A permeating layer with rare earth elements was produced in the frictional sub-surface, the layer modified the microstructure and the lubricating state of the frictional surface.

An improvement for application of Dancoff factor is developed. It combines Stamm’ler’s two-term method for resonance integral calculation with neutron current method for Dancoff factor calculation. Stamm’ler’s formulation, which is originally derived for the infinite lattice geometry, can be easily revised to contain the Dancoff factor explicitly, while the neutron current method can easily calculate the Dancoff factor for general irregular assembly geometry. For the resonance interference effects, the resonance interference factor table is built in pairs of nuclides, only for the interference between 238U and other resonance nuclides, spanning over a range of background cross-section and number density ratio of the pairing nuclides. A series of verification calculations have been carried out for problems of infinite lattice and single assembly geometry, with two or multiple resonance absorbers. For these verification calculations, our improvement on Dancoff factor application and resonance interference give good results.

There is seriously temperature coupling affection in the traditional fiber acceleration sensor, which affects the measurement accuracy. In order to improve anti-interference ability of the sensor, the structural characteristics of the dual-FP cavity is adapted to realize temperature decoupling. Based on the double-beam interference theory, the optimal film thickness requirements, and the output spectrum change of FP cavity caused by the vibration and temperature change is analyzed. Acceleration sensor with structure of the dual-FP cavity and three-bridge is designed. The structure of sensor is analyzed by ANSYS software, such as the thickness of the bridges and the mass size of sensor, and cavity length change caused by equivalent force. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the corresponding bridge thickness is 100μm and mass diameter is 0.5mm for the sensor with external diameter of 2 mm and inner diameter of 1.6mm. The resonant frequency of the system is 6.6kHz, and measuring range is 0 ~ 10g.

The deformation measurement of loaded Three-Ring Chains is of great significance for production safety. In this study, a machine vision system for measuring deformation of loaded Three-Ring chains is developed. The measuring system uses a back diffuse light illumination and a CMOS industrial camera. A measurement algorithm based on sub-pixel edge extraction, contour segmentation, contour fitting is designed. The system can measure the long axis length of outer diameter (OLL) of the each ring of loaded three-ring chains. For the visual system, the absolute error is 0.004 mm, the standard deviation is 0.0024 mm. For the whole system, the absolute error is less than 0.015 mm, the relative error to the full-length of chain is less than 0.25 ‰, the relative error to the total amount of the stretching deformation is less than 2‰.

With the development of wireless network technology, heterogeneous wireless networkis ubiquitous. Thus, selection of an optimal access network canmeet the demands of customersto the highest degree. A non-optimal network selection can result in bad effects such as poor service or higher cost.The traditionalapproach for network selection is based on Received Signal Strength (RSS). However, this paper aims to propose a Multi AttributesDecisionMaking (MADM) algorithm,which combined the parameters of network quality, system state, terminal state and user preferences, to select the optimal network for Accessing Multiple Services Simultaneously (AMSS).This paper analyzesservices classification,handoff related network attributes and the strong association attributes of services, and concerns both of the objective weights and subjective weights when calculating the attributes weights under AMSS. This proposal uses Entropy Method to assign the objective weights and Analytic Hierarchy Processto assign the subjective weights. In the end of this article, a Matlab simulation is performed to evaluate theproposed network selection mechanism based on Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS).

The purpose of this paper was to investigate the conformity of clothing color to wearing scenes. 10 colors were selected as stimuli, and each of them was divided into 9 brightnesses. The conformities of them to different scenes such as Home Scene (HS), Athletic Scene (AS), Office Scene (OS), Social Scene (SS) and Leisure Scene (LS) were evaluated by 129 undergraduate students respectively. The results showed that: (1) there were no significant differences in the use of colors at 5 different wearing scenes; (2) there were significant differences between different hues used in each scene: except purple, primary colors got higher acceptance than secondary colors; blue were popular at different wearing scenes; (3) there were also significant differences in the evaluation among different brightness used in each scene: colors with low brightness used at Office Scene and Social Scene are ideal; colors with high brightness used at Home Scene were easy to be accepted; colors with medium brightness used at Athletic Scene and Leisure Scene were the most popular.

This study is aimed to investigate how color and style influence clothing identification. 60 undergraduate students participated in this study, and a behavioral experiment was carried out to identify colored / achromatic Formal Dress (FD), Casual Wear (CW) , Sports Wear (SW) and Business Wear (BW). The findings were as follows: (1) while color had no significant influence on clothing identification, the style had an obvious influence on it, which showed that the accuracy of identifying FD was the highest and the accuracy of identifying BW was the lowest; (2) color had little influence on identification speed, but the style had a great influence on it; (3) women performed better in clothing identification than men did.

This paper establishes a 3-D localization model and based on this model, it proposes a collaborative localization framework. In this framework, node that observes the object sends its attitude information and the relative position of the object's projection in its camera to the cluster head. The cluster head adopts an algorithm proposed in this paper to select some nodes to participate localization. The localization algorithm is based on least square method. Because the localization framework is based on a 3-D model, the size of the object or other prerequisites is not necessary. At the end of this paper, a simulation is taken on the numbers of nodes selected to locate and the localization accuracy. The result implies that selecting 3~4 nodes is proper. The theoretical analysis and the simulation result also imply that a const computation time cost is paid in this framework with a high localization accuracy (in our simulation environment, a 0.01 meter error).

In this paper, a new method of ternary logic circuit design is developed. It’s proposed that two types of static ternary CMOS comparators and three types of dynamic CMOS comparators, designed by new method, with low transistor count, high speed and low power consumption. The proposed comparators are the rearrangement and reordering of transistors in the evaluation block of a dynamic cell. These ternary comparators can be used as equality comparators, mutual comparators and zero/one/two detectors, which are widely used in build in self test and memory testing.

In this paper, “fashionable” and “conservative” as color emotional words were used, and color piece and clothing color samples with 40 hues and 9 saturation levels were evaluated on emotional variables in behavioral trials. The purpose of the present study was to investigate how the saturation influence on the cognition of clothing color. Results showed that different saturation could be easily perceived as different emotion, and the fashionable emotion presented a weak-strong trend as the saturation increased, whereas the conservative emotion presented a reverse trend. The emotions of color pieces and clothing colors tended to be consistent. However, compared with color pieces, the clothing colors had stronger fashionable emotion. The colors of high and low saturation presented sensitivity to subjects, and the RTs (response time) were shorter in emotional evaluation. In addition, it was easier to cognize fashionable emotion than to cognize conservative emotion.

This paper describes a harmonic analysis model for CRH2 EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) and provides a harmonic power flow algorithm for its traction power supply system. This algorithm gives full consideration to coupling influence between the traction networks (harmonic voltage), and the fundamental wave results are used as the final convergence condition, aiming to determine modulation characteristics and harmonic current characteristics of SPWM converter for EMU based on results of harmonic power flow, and to calculate harmonic power flow and to update fundamental power of harmonic source for fundamental power flow calculation. Analysis of harmonic power flow with single harmonic source and multi-harmonic sources shows that the algorithm is applicable to traction power supply system of high-speed rail with single harmonic source, multi-harmonic sources, and background harmonic.

The new Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration (CKD-EPI) equation was developed to address the systematic underestimation of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) by the Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (MDRD) Study equation in patients with relatively well-preserved kidney function. Performance of the new equation in the Chinese population is unknown. The goal of the present study was to compare performance of these two equations in Chinese patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).We enrolled 450 Chinese patients (239 women and 211 men) with CKD in the present study. The renal dynamic imaging method was used to measure the referenced standard GFR (rGFR) for comparison with estimations using the two equations. Their overall performance was assessed with the Bland-Altman method and receiver-operating characteristics (ROC) analysis. Performance of the two equations in lower and higher estimated GFR (eGFR) subgroups was further investigated.Both eGFRs correlated well with rGFR (r = 0.88, 0.81, P0.05). In overall performance, the CKD-EPI equation showed less bias, higher precision and improved accuracy, and was better for detecting CKD. In the higher-eGFR subgroup, the CKD-EPI equation corrected the underestimation of GFR by the abbreviated MDRD equation.The CKD-EPI equation outperformed the abbreviated MDRD equation not only in overall performance but also in the subgroups studied. For the present, the CKD-EPI equation appears to be the first-choice prediction equation for estimating GFR.
