To investigate the expression of small dense low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (sdLDL-C) in patients with H-type hypertension and its association with H-type hypertension and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene polymorphisms. The retrospective study method was used,and a total of 207 hospitalized hypertensive patients (76 males and 131 females, aged 40-82 years, median age 66 years) admitted to the Zibo First Hospital from March 2021 to March 2022 were enrolled in this study. The levels of homocysteine (Hcy), sdLDL-C, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] were measured. The patients were divided into H-type hypertensive group (探讨小而密低密度脂蛋白胆固醇（sdLDL-C）在H型高血压患者中的表达及其与H型高血压和亚甲基四氢叶酸还原酶（MTHFR）基因多态性间的相关性。采用回顾性研究，选择2021年3月至2022年3月在山东省淄博市第一医院诊治的207例住院高血压患者，男76例，女131例，年龄40~82岁、中位数年龄66岁。检测同型半胱氨酸（Hcy）、sdLDL-C、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇（LDL-C）、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇（HDL-C）、总胆固醇（TC）、甘油三酯（TG）、脂蛋白（a）［Lp（a）］水平。根据Hcy水平分为H型高血压组（105例，男性40例，女性65例）和非H型高血压组（102例，男性36例，女性66例），检测各组MTHFR C677T多态性，对H型高血压发生相关因素进行logistic回归分析。结果显示，H型高血压组和非H型高血压组血清sdLDL-C水平分别为（0.92±0.31）mmol/L和（0.65±0.28）mmol/L，H型高血压组sdLDL-C水平显著高于非H型高血压组（

Expansins are ancient proteins involved in cell wall loosening during diverse biological processes in plants. They may participate inplant developmental processes and in responses to multiple external stresses. Triticum urartu is a diploid wheat, which is the A genome donor in hexaploid wheat (AABBDD). Wheat is an important agricultural crop. In this study, a total of 39 expansin (EXP) genes in T. urartu were identified and categorised into three subfamilies according to their phylogenetic relationship, consisting of 19 EXPA genes, 18 EXPB genes and 2 EXLA genes, but no EXLB genes. The structures of T. urartu EXP (TuEXP) genes were conserved. Expression analysis and transcript profiling revealed differential expression of TuEXPs in different tissues and developmental stages. Expression patterns of TuEXPs genes were also investigated in different tissues under different phytohormone treatments at the three leafstage. The expression of most of the analyzed genes were either up-or down-regulated, which could help research on expansin-related mechanisms.

Stimulated emission depletion (STED) microscopy performed using continuous-wave (CW) lasers has been investigated and developed by Willig et al. (Nature Methods, 2007, 4(11):915) for nearly a decade. Kuang et al. (Review of Scientific Instruments, 2010, 81:053709) developed the CW STED microscopy technique with 405 nm excitation and 532 nm depletion beams. In their research, Coumarin 102 dye was adopted and was found to be depletable. In this study, a parametric investigation of the depletion of Coumarin 102 dye is carried out experimentally. The influence of the excitation and depletion beam intensities and dye concentrations on the depletion efficiency are studied in detail. The results indicate the following: (1) The highest depletion occurs for the 100 μM Coumarin 102 solution, with a 1.4 μW excitation beam and a 115.3 mW depletion beam. To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a new ultrafiltration device for treating refractory heart failure patients.A total of 52 patients (37 male, age 29-85(33±44)years) with refractory heart failure were treated using a new ultrafiltration device (FQ-16). Body weight, dyspnea score, oxygen saturation (SatO2), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), BUN, creatinine, electrolytes and blood gas analysis were assessed before and after the treatment. Hypotension event and other main adverse events were recorded.Ultrafiltration duration ranged between 8-22 hours. Total ultrafiltration volume was (4 489±1 548) ml. Compared with baseline, patients' body weight decreased from (75.3±8.74) kg to (69.8±8.39) kg (P0.01), dyspnea score improved from 2.47±1.55 to 12.87±3.61 (P0.01) and SatO2 increased from 91.0±6.01 to 96.4±2.52 (P0.01) and LVEF increased from (30.0±4.1)% to (36.0±4.3)% (P0.01) after ultrafiltration. Blood creatinine, BUN, electrolytes and blood gas analysis values were similar at baseline and post ultrafiltration. No hypotension event and other main adverse events occurred during the ultrafiltration treatment.The novel ultrafiltration device adequately relieved hypervolemia and dyspnea in patients with refractory heart failure and the treatment process is safe in this patient cohort.

To investigate the reference range and influeing factors of the nuclear division index (NDI) of peripheral blood lymphocyte in Chinese general population in Anhui province.We selected 281 subjects from the general poulation in Anhui province, without occupational exposure to genetic toxicants and no chronic disease history. We used questionnaires to collect occupational history, age, gender, region, body mass index, smoking, and alcohol drinking status etc. NDI was measured by cytokinesis block micronucleus assay in peripheral blood lymphocytes, and the related factors were also analyzed. And NDI was used as the dependent variable, age, gender and other factors as independent variables to conduct stepwise multiple linear regression.We found the data of NDI according with normal distribution, and the nuclear division index was 1.71±0.22, the minimum value was 1.10 while the maximum was 2.36. The results showed that NDI value of the males (1.67±0.20) were lower than that of the females (1.76±0.24), the difference was statistically significant (t=-3.65, P0.001); current smokers NDI (1.66±0.18) lower than non-smokers (1.73±0.24) differences were statistically significant (t=3.06, P=0.002); the NDI of drinking groups (1.66±0.20) was lower than that of non-drinking population (1.74±0.23), the differences was statistically significant (t=3.15, P=0.002); Using multiple stepwise linear regression calibration factors and found that gender was an independent factor of NDI (β=0.098, Sx=0.027, t=3.66, P0.001).We set the reference value on the nuclear division index among general population of survey areas in this study, it could provide a reference for similar studies and will provide reference for better evaluation of the effects of hazards on the body.

We have previously reported a second dielectric relaxation ascribed to [2Repb–Oi] in Re-doped PbWO4 (Re=La, Y) after annealing at 750°C. Further investigations by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) have been performed in heterovalent-ion-doped PWO before and after annealing at 850°C. The existence of interstitial oxygen in the Re:PWO is confirmed after annealing in air at high temperature. Heavy doping with trivalent/tetravalent ion will induce interstitial oxygen ion in the scheelite PWO for charge compensation. Based on the experimental results, we construct a hypothesis to clarify the mechanism of doping at different concentrations and estimate the lead deficiency in as-grown PWO to be around tens at.ppm.

The states of hyperchaos appearing in degenerate optical parametric oscillators (DOPOs) can be controlled by means of a resonance created using three-wave interaction. For a given set of detuning parameters, the reduced rate of the fundamental mode damping, and the initial field amplitude, any desired periodic orbit in DOPOs can be obtained by appropriate adjustment of the control wave amplitude. The proposed approach is illustrated by the results of numerical calculations.

Zhalong National Nature Preserve is a large wetland reserve on the Songnen Plain in Northeast China. Wetlands in the preserve play a key role in maintaining regional ecosystem function and integrity. Global climate change and intensified anthropogenic activities in the region have raised great concerns over the change of natural flow regime, wetland degradation and loss. In this study, two key hydrologic components in the preserve, water surface area and water volume, as well as their variations during the period 1985–2006, were investigated with a spatially-distributed hydrologic modeling system (SWAT). A wetland module was incorporated into the SWAT model to represent hydrological linkages between the wetland and adjacent upland areas. The modified modeling system was calibrated with streamflow measurements from 1987 to 1989 and was validated for the period 2005–2006. The calibration achieved a Nash efficiency coefficient (Ens) of 0.86, and the validation yielded an Ens of 0.66. In the past 20 yr, water surface area in the Zhalong wetland fluctuated from approximately 200 km2 to 1145 km2 with a rapid decreasing trend through the early 2000s. Consequently, water volume decreased largely in the preserve, especially in the dry seasons. The situation changed following the implementation of a river diversion in 2001. Overall, the modeling yielded plausible estimates of hydrologic changes in this large wetland reserve, building a foundation for assessing ecological water requirements and developing strategies and plans for future water resources management within the river basin.

The study aims to explore the relationship between management safety commitment and patient safety culture using data from a Chinese hospital.Developing a positive patient safety culture has been suggested as an important strategy to improve the quality of health services and patient safety. Management safety commitment has been identified as key to establishing a culture of safety. However, little empirical evidence could be found in the literature to substantiate the relationship between management safety commitment and patient safety culture. Even less is known about the relationship in a Chinese hospital setting.The study used a correlational research methodology with a cross-sectional survey design. A total of 248 registered nurses, including 20 nurse managers and 228 staff nurses, were surveyed using self-administered questionnaires. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to explore the relationship between management safety commitment and patient safety culture.The mean score of safety commitment was 8.38 on a 0-10 visual analogue scale. The mean score of patient safety culture was 148.66. Staff nurses scored patient safety culture significantly lower than those of nurse managers (F = 18.88, P0.01). In addition, management safety commitment was significantly related to patient safety culture (r = 0.46, P0.01) and was an important predictor of patient safety culture (F = 65.29, P0.01).The findings provide significant empirical evidence that management safety commitment is associated with the culture of patient safety. Thus, to build a positive safety culture, managers need to visibly commit to patient safety and be a role model to ensure patient safety.

The main constitution and the performance characteristic of Solar Thermal Power System (STPS) were introduced, and the thermal losses law of the recycled working substance of the conventional thermal power generation unit was analyzed in this paper. The key technical choke points currently existing in high-temperature solar thermal power system were demonstrated in the aspect of technical feasibility and economical efficiency. And then, the combined operation scheme of solar thermal power and conventional thermal power was introduced in this paper. In this hybrid system, the normal and low temperature water vapor can be obtained by solar power and utilized efficiently, in additional, those technical choke points existing in high-temperature solar thermal power can be avoided. With higher comprehensive efficiency and obvious technical and economic performance, the combined operation of solar thermal power and conventional thermal power can be the most important alternative scheme in the reformation progress of the energy conservation and environment protection in conventional thermal power plants, and the most significant way to utilize solar power efficiently.

Congruent Mg:LiNbO/sub 3/ with Mg concentration of 0, 1.0, 2.7, 5.0, and 6.0 mo 1% has been prepared. A set of defect models consistent with density measurement is proposed. When the Mg concentration (Mg) exceeds a critical value (Mg)/sub c/, Nb-site Mg in the form of Mg/sub Li/Mg/sub Nb(1/3/)Nb/sub Nb(2/3)/O/sub 3/ appears in the crystal. The (Mg)/sub c/ varies as the Li/Nb ratio of the crystal and should be 5.30 mo 1% for the congruent crystal. It is suggested that the optical absorption by the reduced crystals is due to defects comprising both F centers, formed under reduction, and different types of dipolarons. When (Mg) exceeds (Mg)/sub c/, (Mg/sub Li/-Mg/sub Nb/)-F-(Mg/sub Li/-Nb/sub N/) occurs in the reduced crystal, which causes an abrupt change in the optical absorption of the crystal. >

Two-dimensional images of the arti cial magnetic eld created by permanent magnets were obtained by means of the Faraday magnetic rotation e ect. This provides a convenient and e ective means to observe and measure macro-scale magnetic eld, as well as lays a base for three-dimensional optical imaging of magnetic eld. The magnetic eld imaging here can also be considered as a key part of the magnetic rotation geomagnetic eld imaging method which we put forward before, and will provide experimental support for this method.

The authors treated 54 cases of hyperlipidemia with the antihyperlipidemic capsules and the total short-term effective rate was 77.8%. The capsules also showed obvious effects in improving hemorheology, reducing aggregation of thrombocytes, and lowering the blood pressure. The authors believe they would be useful in the prevention and treatment of ischemic apoplexy and coronary disease.

CEA McAbs, recognizing three different epitopes on CEA molecules, were used to measure serum CEA level in cancer patients by enzyme-immunoassay (EIA). The results, as compared with those using polyclonal antibodies, indicated that the positive rate was higher while the false positivity was lower. Immunohistochemistry of tumour sections showed that the CEA McAbs are bonded to 80-90% of gastrointestinal cancers. Although the normal colon epithelium occasionally reacted with CEA McAbs, other normal tissues did not. After in vivo administration of radio-labeled CEA McAbs to nude mice xenograft with human colon cancer, the radio-isotope was found to be concentrated preferentially in the tumour. The ratio of tumour and normal tissue was 3.6-11.8 after 48 hours following administration. Thus, the CEA McAbs can be used clinically not only for serum CEA determination but also for diagnostic imaging.
