Increasing evidence has shown that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), which are non-coding endogenous single-stranded RNAs, play an essential role in various physiological and pathological processes through transcriptional interference, post-transcriptional regulation, and epigenetic modification. Moreover, lncRNAs, as oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes, play an important role in the occurrence and development of human cancers. Prostate androgen-regulated transcript 1 (PART1) was initially identified as a carcinogenic lncRNA in prostate adenomas. The upregulated expression of PART1 plays a tumor-promoting role in liver, prostate, lung cancers, and other tumors. In contrast, the expression of PART1 is downregulated in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, glioma, and other tumors, which may inhibit the tumor. PART1 plays a dual role in cancer and regulates cell proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, and metastasis through a variety of potential mechanisms. These findings suggest that PART1 is a promising tumor biomarker and therapeutic target. This article reviews the biological functions, related mechanisms, and potential clinical significance of PART1 in a variety of human cancers.

Here, the fabrication of the Ag nanoparticles loaded one-dimensional anodic aluminum oxide defective photonic crystals (Ag@AAO DPCs) with controllable structure parameters is reported using specially designed periodic pulse anodization and vacuum thermal evaporation techniques. The constructed Ag@AAO DPCs films have ordered distributed nanopore surface, high-quality defect state and tunable photonic band gap, which are ideally suited for the surface-enhanced Raman scatting (SERS) substrates that use local electric field and defect state resonance mechanisms. These sbustrates exhibit excellent SERS performance for rhodamine B (rhB) testing with high sensitivity and reproducibility. In which the logarithmic intensity of Raman signal peak at 1646 cm−1 versus the concentration of rhB presents a linear relationship, and the detection limitation can reach to the order of 10−10 mol/L, the enhancement factor can increase to the order of 105, especially when the defect state energy level position is matched with the incident light. This means that the Ag@AAO DPCs can be used as SERS substrates for the trace detection of organic dye molecules. Compared to the common Ag@AAO substrate, the main reasons for the SERS signal enhancement of the Ag@AAO DPCs are attributed to the synergistic effect of the enhanced local electric field strengthened by the Bragg reflection of PC structure and electron transformation induced by the defect state resonance with the incident light. This would be a promising way for applications for surface enhanced Raman scattering.

Here, the preparation of TiO2 nanotube photonic crystals (PCs) and their periodical Ti3+ self-doping were synchronously accomplished for forming Ti3+-TiO2 PCs by introducing an appropriate reduction pulse voltage (−4 V) into the periodical anodic oxidation voltage waveform. Subsequently, some Ag nanoparticles were deposited on the surface of the Ti3+-TiO2 PCs by vacuum evaporation for getting Ag/Ti3+-TiO2 PCs nanostructures, which were ideally suited for the surface-enhanced Raman scatting (SERS) substrates. Compared to the Ag loaded TiO2 nanotubes, the SERS signal of the Ag/Ti3+-TiO2 PCs for RhB can be improved 8.4 times. The desirable SERS property would be attributed to the synergistic effects of the localized electromagnetic (EM) field enhancement and charge-transfer (CT) chemical enhancement mechanisms, which was also discussed in detail.

Key links and main influencing factors of battlefield rescue are analyzed and studied. The index system of prediction of battlefield rescue capability of brigade medical aid station is established. Through integrating queuing theory, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, analytic hierarchy process and mathematical definition with exponential method, a hybrid algorithm for prediction of battlefield rescue capability is proposed. A simulation example of evaluation is presented. The validity and practicability of the comprehensive method is verified, and the logistics command decision and system optimum design of the battlefield rescue health service support are strongly supported by the prediction algorithm.

In order to establish an advanced structural-activity relationship (SAR) and to explore the feasibility of kakuol analogues with better anti-fungi activity, a series of 2-hydroxy-4,5-methylenedioxyaryl ketones were conveniently synthesized by the Friedel-Crafts acyl reaction, etherification reaction, reduction reaction and oximation reaction. Their structures characterized by 1H and 13C NMR and HRMS methods. Their in vitro antifungal activities were assayed. Most of the derivatives showed a remarkable in vitro activity, and some of them appeared significantly more effective than a commercial fungicide hymexazol as positive control. In particular compounds 2h and 2i, were found active with a IC50 value of 3.1 mg/ml and 2.9 mg/ml against Glomerella cingulate, which suggested that 2-hydroxy-4,5-methylenedioxyaryl ketones might be a promising candidates in the development of new antifungal compounds. The TiO2 nanotube heterostructure photonic crystals (HPCs) with high quality photonic band gap (PBG) and more photonic band edges have been prepared by using the pulse anodization with compensation voltage. It is found that when the hetero-structure is introduced on the top of the whole HPC, its structure becomes more uniform and more band edges with high quality PBG appear in the whole visible range, which greatly enhance the light absorption of PC photocatalyst due to the higher photonic state density, and further improve its photocatalytic performance. Furthermore, the matching of PBG red and blue edges with the RhB absorption peak also has effect on the photocatalytic performance. And the HPC has two closely adjoining PBGs and their band edges are simultaneously matched with the RhB absorption peak, which make the HPC have the strongest photocatalytic enhancement.

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, relapsing form of inflammatory skin disorder that is affected by genetic and environmental factors. We performed a genome-wide association study of atopic dermatitis in a Chinese Han population using 1,012 affected individuals (cases) and 1,362 controls followed by a replication study in an additional 3,624 cases and 12,197 controls of Chinese Han ethnicity, as well as 1,806 cases and 3,256 controls from Germany. We identified previously undescribed susceptibility loci at 5q22.1 (TMEM232 and SLC25A46, rs7701890, P(combined) = 3.15 × 10(-9), odds ratio (OR) = 1.24) and 20q13.33 (TNFRSF6B and ZGPAT, rs6010620, P(combined) = 3.0 × 10(-8), OR = 1.17) and replicated another previously reported locus at 1q21.3 (FLG, rs3126085, P(combined) = 5.90 × 10(-12), OR = 0.82) in the Chinese sample. The 20q13.33 locus also showed evidence for association in the German sample (rs6010620, P = 2.87 × 10(-5), OR = 1.25). Our study identifies new genetic susceptibility factors and suggests previously unidentified biological pathways in atopic dermatitis.

We performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a Chinese Han population by genotyping 1,047 cases and 1,205 controls using Illumina Human610-Quad BeadChips and replicating 78 SNPs in two additional cohorts (3,152 cases and 7,050 controls). We identified nine new susceptibility loci (ETS1, IKZF1, RASGRP3, SLC15A4, TNIP1, 7q11.23, 10q11.22, 11q23.3 and 16p11.2; 1.77 x 10(-25) < or = P(combined) < or = 2.77 x 10(-8)) and confirmed seven previously reported loci (BLK, IRF5, STAT4, TNFAIP3, TNFSF4, 6q21 and 22q11.21; 5.17 x 10(-42) < or = P(combined) < or = 5.18 x 10(-12)). Comparison with previous GWAS findings highlighted the genetic heterogeneity of SLE susceptibility between Chinese Han and European populations. This study not only advances our understanding of the genetic basis of SLE but also highlights the value of performing GWAS in diverse ancestral populations.

A false color image fusion method for multi-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images based on contourlet transform is presented. It works in the following way: firstly, the flexible multiresolution, high directionality and anisotropy of contourlet transform are used for implementing the multiscale decomposition for SAR images. In the contourlet transform domain, an edge information measurement rule is used to merge the directional subbands, and an averaging rule is used to merge the lowpass subbands. Then, a hybrid high boost filter algorithm is proposed to produce the red, green and blue color channels of red-green-blue (RGB) model based on the gray fused image. Finally, the false color fused image is displayed in the RGB color space. This method translates the gray information into color information available to human visual system and enhances the spectral resolution for SAR images. Experimental results is confirmed the validity of the proposed method.

The health service support is very important for maintaining and enforcing effective military personal power to consolidate and improve battle effectiveness. Key links and main influencing factors of the health service support are analyzed. The index system of efficiency evaluation is presented. Due to the merits of the effective non-line method established on statistics and characteristics of generalization for support vector machine (SVM), propose a prediction algorithm for the capability of health service support based on it. The logistics command decision and system optimum design of the health service support are strongly supported by the prediction algorithm.

Six sesquiterpenoids 1–6, including two new ones, an ent-daucane-type sesquiterpenoid, asperaculane A (1), and a nordaucane one, asperaculane B (2), and four known nordaucane derivatives, aculenes A–D 3–6, together with the known secalonic acid D (7), were isolated from a fermentation culture of the fungus Aspergillus aculeatus. Their structures and absolute configurations were established by analyses of their spectroscopic data, including 1D and 2D-NMR spectra, HR-ESIMS, electronic circular dichroism (ECD) data, and quantum chemical calculations. These metabolites were evaluated for in vitro cytotoxic activity against two cell lines, human cancer cell lines (HeLa) and one normal hamster cell line (CHO).

To investigate the chemical constituents from the leaves of Vaccinium bracteatum.Many column chromatographic techniques were used for the isolation and separation of chemical constituents. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidences.Twelve compounds were isolated from the plant, and they were identified as chrysoeriol (1), scopoletin (2), trans-p-hydroxycinnamic acid (3), trans-p-hydroxycinnamic acid ethyl ester (4), cafeic acid ethyl ester (5), beta-sitosterol (6), iuteolin (7), quercetin (8), esculetin (9), cafeic acid (10), isolariciresinol-9-O-beta-D-xyloside (11), 10-O-trans-p-coumaroylsandoside (12).Compounds 4, 5, 11, 12 were isolated from the genus Vaccinium for the first time, and compounds 1, 2, 9, 10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

The first organocatalytic enantioselective Michael addition of 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinones to nitroalkenes for the direct synthesis of chiral nitroalkylated naphthoquinone derivatives was investigated. Good yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99% ee) could be achieved. This organocatalytic asymmetric Michael addition provides an efficient route torward the synthesis of optically active functionalized naphthoquinones.

We report the first large genome-wide association study (GWAS) in a Chinese population to identify susceptibility variants for psoriasis using a two-stage case-control design. In the first stage, we carried out a genome-wide association analysis in 1,139 cases and 1,132 controls of Chinese Han ancestry using Illumina Human 610-Quad BeadChips. In the second stage, we took top SNPs forward for replication in two independent samples of 5,182 cases and 6,516 controls of Chinese Han ancestry, and 539 cases and 824 controls of Chinese Uygur ancestry. In addition to the strong replication for two known susceptibility loci MHC (rs1265181, P = 1.93 x 10(-208), OR = 22.62) and IL12B (rs3213094, P(combined) = 2.58 x 10(-26), OR = 0.78), we identified a new susceptibility locus within the LCE gene cluster on 1q21 (rs4085613, P(combined) = 6.69 x 10(-30), OR = 0.76).

Propose an improved hybrid method (HM) of microwave backscattering calculation and 3D modeling of target. Based on the HM, the high-frequency radar cross section (RCS) of complex military targets is calculated and high resolution inversed SAR (ISAR) image is simulated. The method of affine transform is used to extract the invariant features of the image contour of several types of airplanes. The image contours of several airplanes are real-time acquired by using space distribution image of backscatter characteristics through Cellular Neural Networks. Then, the target can be recognized automatically from simulated ISAR image. A series of experiments are presented using the high resolution SAR image acquired by the Chinese airborne SAR system.
