To further standardize the clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions of radioiodine refractory differentiated thyroid cancer (RAIR-DTC) in China, it is urgent to establish clinical diagnosis and treatment management guidelines based on evidence-based medical data to scientifically guide the diagnosis and treatment of RAIR-DTC. By referring to the World Health Organization Guidelines Development Manual andfollowing the protocol of devising evidence-based guidelines, we have registered and written the prospectus of Guidelines for the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Management of Iodine Refractory Differentiated Thyroid Cancer. We will also develop and release official guidance documents. This guidelines prospectus mainly introduces the significance, purpose, target population, user population, guidelines formulation team members, collection and determination of clinical issues and outcome indicators, acquisition, evaluation, and synthesis of evidence, as well as generation of recommendations and other guidelines formulation methods and processes of the Guidelines for the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Management of Iodine Refractory Differentiated Thyroid Cancer.

Objective To analyze the clinicopathological data of patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) and papillary thyroid non-microcarcinoma (non-PTMC) who received 131I therapy retrospectively, and compare the therapeutic response of the two groups of patients, so as to guide 131I therapy decisions for PTMC patients. Methods A total of 1 118 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) underwent 131I therapy in the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital from January 2015 to December 2020 were enrolled. Chi-square test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to compare the differences of clinicopathological features and 131I therapy， therapeutic response between two groups. The incomplete response （IR）rate curves of the two groups were plotted by Kaplan-Meier analysis.Results The proportion of patients with multifocal, involvement of bilateral thyroid lobes in PTMC group were higher than those in non-PTMC group, and the proportion of patients with extra-thyroid extension, T4, N1b, stimulated thyroglobulin(sTg)>10 μg/L, and high risk stratified were lower than those in non-PTMC group (P0.05). Conclusions PTMC has a certain degree of invasiveness. As long as the patients were comprehensively evaluated and the standard 131I therapy was adopted, the treatment outcomes of patients with PTMC and non-PTMC were roughly the same. Therefore, the clinical value of the definition of PTMC is extremely limited in the formulation of 131I therapeutic dose regimens.

Aim To investigate the prognostic value of pre-ablation stimulated thyroglobulin (ps-Tg) in children and adolescents with persistent differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) following initial radioiodine therapy (RAI). Materials & Methods Patients were classified into "no clinical evidence of disease" (NED), "biochemical persistent disease" (BPD), and "structural/functional persistent disease" (S/FPD) groups, based on their therapeutic response to initial RAI. BPD patients were further categorized as incomplete response (IR) or Non-IR; S/FPD patients were categorized as remission or Non-remission. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to assess the predictive value of ps-Tg for long-term prognosis. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses were performed to identify risk factors for IR in BPD group and Non-remission in S/FPD group. Results In total, 130 patients were included, with NED (32), BPD (61), and S/FPD (37) patients. Multivariate analysis identified therapeutic response to initial RAI as the only independent predictor of IR in the BPD group. ROC analysis determined an optimal ps-Tg threshold of 112.40 ng/mL for predicting Non-remission in S/FPD patients. Multivariate analysis further confirmed that ps-Tg > 112.4 ng/mL was significantly associated with Non-remission. Conclusions Findings indicate ps-Tg as a valuable predictor of long-term prognosis in children and adolescents with persistent DTC post initial RAI. Additionally, ps-Tg levels were associated with the likelihood of distant metastasis, with a cut-off value of 98.0 ng/mL providing high predictive accuracy. These findings highlight ps-Tg as a reliable marker for identifying patients at higher risk of poor outcomes. Perforation of the maxillary sinus membrane is a common complication during maxillary sinus elevation. Intraoperative perforation of the maxillary sinus membrane may complicate the procedure and indirectly lead to implant failure. Timely repair of the perforated maxillary sinus membrane can effectively improve the implant survival rate. This case describes a method of repairing a maxillary sinus membrane perforation with a suture-attached collagen membrane and shows stable repair results at a 31-month follow-up. The polymer of sodium lignosulfonate and acrylic acid was prepared by grafting copolymerization, and lignin hydrogel was obtained by the polymer intercalated with montmorillonite, and the adsorption performance of Zn (II) by lignin hydrogel was investigated. The results showed that the prepared hydrogels have good adsorbability of Zn (II) and pH response. The adsorption capacity reached 285.39 mg/g, under the initial solution concentration of 600 mg/L, pH =4.5, adsorption temperature of 45 °C and adsorption time of 140 min, respectively. Modeling of adsorption kinetics indicated good agreement of experimental data with the quasi-second-order kinetic model. The GaoFen6 (GF-6) satellite, equipped with a wide full-swath (WFV) sensor, offers high spatial resolution and extensive coverage, making it widely utilized in agricultural and forestry classification, land resource monitoring, and other fields. Accurate on-orbit radiometric calibration of GF-6/WFV is crucial for these quantitative applications. Currently, the absolute radiometric calibration of GF-6/WFV relies primarily on vicarious calibration conducted by the China Center for Resources Satellite Data and Application (CRESDA). However, annual vicarious calibration may not adequately capture the radiometric performance of GF-6/WFV due to performance degradation. Therefore, increasing the frequency of on-orbit radiometric calibration throughout the lifetime of GF-6/WFV is essential. This study proposes a method for conducting long-term cross-radiometric calibrations of GF-6/WFV by taking the multispectral imager (MSI) onboard the Sentinel-2 satellite as a reliable reference sensor and the sites from RadCalNet as reference ground targets. Firstly, we conducted 62 on-orbit cross-radiometric calibrations of GF-6/WFV since its launch by tracking with the Sentinel-2/MSI sensor after correcting the discrepancy spectrum and solar zenith angle. Then, validation of cross-radiometric calibration results against RadCalNet products indicated an average absolute relative error between 3.55% and 4.64%. Cross-validation with additional reference sensors, including Landsat-8/OLI and MODIS, confirmed the reliability of calibration, demonstrating relative differences from GF-6/WFV of less than 5%. Furthermore, the overall uncertainty of the cross-radiometric calibration was estimated to be from 4.08% to 4.89%. Finally, trend analysis of the time-series radiometric performance was also conducted and revealed an annual degradation rate ranging from 0.57% to 2.31%. This degradation affects surface reflectance retrieval, introducing a bias of approximately 0.0073 to 0.0084. Our findings highlight the operational effectiveness of the proposed method in achieving long-time-series on-orbit radiometric calibration and degradation monitoring of GF-6/WFV. The study also demonstrates that the radiometric performance of GF-6/WFV is relatively stable and suitable for further quantitative applications, especially for long-term monitoring applications. Purpose: Lugol's solution could control thyroid function and suppress 131I uptake in hyperthyroidism. This study aimed to investigate the appropriate time to withdraw Lugol's solution before 131I therapy (RIT) in Graves' disease (GD) patients, and how this should influence 131I uptake and RIT outcome. Methods: Two groups (125 cases and 1805 cases) of GD patients received RIT, who were pre-treated with and without Lugol's solution (RI-CI group and RI group). The RI-CI group was further divided into the following sub-groups depending on the duration span between Lugol's solution withdrawal and RIT: sub-group A, 4–7 d (n = 49); sub-group B, 8–14 d (n = 41); and sub-group C, 15–30 d (n = 35). The highest radioactive iodine uptake rate (RAIUmax), effective half-life (Teff), TRAb, and free triiodothyronine (FT3) and free thyroxine (FT4) levels were compared, and therapeutic outcome was evaluated. Results: There were no significant differences in RAIUmax, TRAb, and Teff among the four sub-groups (P > 0.05). Both FT3 and FT4 levels in sub-groups A and B were lower than those in group RI and sub-group C (P < 0.05). The outcome of non-hyperthyroidism (euthyroidism + hypothyroidism) in groups RI-CI and RI was significantly different at post-RIT month 1 and 3 (P < 0.05). However, intergroup differences at 6 and 12 months were not significant (P > 0.05). Conclusions: Withdrawal of Lugol's solution 4–7 or 8–14 d before RIT does not influence 131I uptake and RIT efficacy in GD. Moreover, in order to avoid a rapid increase in thyroid hormone levels at the same time, Lugol's solution should be withdrawn 4–7 d before RIT. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
