ÖZ: 1978 yılında SciFiNow dergisinde Amerikalı eleştirmen Alan Frank tarafından ortaya atılan post apokaliptik terimi, ilk olarak edebiyat yazarlarının olası küresel felaketin yalnızca nedenlerini değil, aynı zamanda sonuçlarını da kavrama konusundaki arzuları sonucu çıkar. Özellikle XXI. yüzyıl dünya edebiyatında geniş yer kaplayan bu terim, “post apokaliptik edebiyat” adı altında yeni bir nesir anlayışının doğuşuna zemin hazırlar. Fantastik yazın türünün bir kolu olarak hareket eden bu edebiyat, genel anlamda soğuk savaş, uzay araştırmaları, III. Dünya Savaşı tehdidi gibi konular çerçevesinde şekillenir. Nitekim bu çalışmada, XXI. yüzyılın öne çıkmaya başlayan Rus yazarlarından Nikolay Lipnitskiy’in Eve Giden Yol eserinde, geleceğe yönelik çalışmalar içerisinde bir hayli geniş yer kaplayan III. Dünya Savaşı’nın sonuçları post apokaliptik temelde çözümlenecektir. Her zamankinden farklı olarak yaşanan bir savaşın edebiyata yansımasının ele alınmadığı bu çalışmada, henüz gerçekleşmemiş bir savaşın, son derece canlı bir şekilde kurgulanışı ve aktarılışı betimleme yönteminden faydalanılarak gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır. Böylelikle Lipnitskiy’in yalın bir şekilde işlediği bu senaryosuyla aslında araştırmacılar tarafından oldukça ihtimal dâhilinde görülen III. Dünya Savaşı’nın gerçekleşmesi halinde olabileceklere yönelik vermek istediği önemli uyarısı ön plana çıkarılacaktır. ABSTRACT: The term post-apocalyptic, coined by the American critic Alan Frank in 1978 in the journal SciFiNow, firstly derives from the desire of literary writers to grasp not only the causes but also the consequences of possible global catastrophe. This term, which especially occupies a wide place in the world literature of the 21th century, paves the way for the birth of a new prose genre under the name of “post-apocalyptic literature”. This literature, which acts as a branch of the fantasy genre, generally is shaped around issues such as the cold war, space exploration and the threat of World War III. Indeed, in this study, in the work of Nikolai Lipnitsky, one of the Russian writers who started to come to the forefront of the 21th century, On The Way Home, the consequences of World War III will be analyzed on a post-apocalyptic basis. In this study, unlike usual, the reflection of a war in literature is not brought to the fore, it will be tried to show from a different point of view a very lively fictionalization and transmission of a war that has not yet taken place. Thus, it will be emphasized that this fiction of Lipnitsky, which he conveys in a simple way, is actually a warning to what might happen in the event of a war, which is highly probable by the researchers.

This article examines the writing and reception of Sir John Hackett's bestselling 1978 novel The Third World War. The retired British general and a team of collaborators produced a vision of global conflict that found an enthusiastic audience around the world. I argue that Hackett's book succeeded in large part because he reflected growing anxieties about the future of the Cold War just as the superpower confrontation entered a period of dangerous instability. The purpose of this article is to shed light on the media coverage of the initial stages of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Western media's reporting on the conflict was marked by biased and discriminatory comments. The Ukrainian refugees who fled to neighboring countries were compared harmfully to refugees from other war-torn countries, based on superficial and irrelevant criteria such as skin color, religion, race, and qualifications, rather than on the basis of their human suffering. The European media coverage normalized conflicts in other parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East, portraying them as expected and commonplace. Conversely, conflicts occurring in Europe are deemed shameful for humanity, and white individuals are seen as unsuitable for becoming refugees. Additionally, the article examines the broader war scenario, suggesting that the current conflict may lead the world towards a third world war, due to the escalating tension between Russia and Western powers. The conflict may be geographically centered in Ukraine, but it is essentially a battle between Russia and Ukraine, with backing from the United States and Europe. This conflict has also had ripple effects on other nations, as tensions have risen between China and Taiwan, North Korea and Japan, and Kosovo and Serbia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives Objective: An analysis of the nomenclature of war regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Methods Methods: The research methods include a historical analysis of the naming of wars, specifically the term “World War III,” and documentation of the current political and military situation. Results Results: The article answers three research questions: 1) How and why are wars named? 2) What is meant by the phrase “World War III”? 3) Is the Russo-Ukrainian War of 2022 a global conflict? 4) What are the ramifications of the conflict in terms of human rights (genocide) and the international system (political and economic)? Conclusions: The Russo-Ukrainian War of 2022 is not a regional act of aggression by a Russian belligerent state, but the escalation of imperialist aspirations into a global and genocidal conflict. This is a renewed Cold War that ought to be framed as World War III both in regards to collective numeration as well as a recognition of the global nature and potential regarding the use of tactical nuclear weapons. Conclusions The Russo-Ukraine War of 2022 is a war between the international system and rogue states, between democracy and autocracy, and between humanity and genocide. Russia is the belligerent and the enemy of internationalism. There is responsibility in the naming of history and, whether Putin cowardly authorizes the use of tactical nuclear weapons or not, this is World War III.

No one is calling the Russia-Ukraine conflict is considered the commencement of World War III right now. But all analyzes see it as Europe's biggest conflict since World War II as the war dragged on and it assumed a different character as well. The opening weeks of Russia's invasion of Ukraine were a war of military strategy. On the other hand, the Ukrainian troopsbuilt resistance was necessary to stop the enemy's advance. In military strategy, a well-trained and efficient army is necessary to conduct war properly. Over the past six years, with the help of Western allies, Ukraine has been able to build a military capable of such a war. As part of such a war, where resistance is needed (such as in Kyiv), the Ukrainian military has done so. Again, the army has withdrawn from where it is necessary to retreat (Donetsk and Luhansk). The Russian - Ukraine war can be considered a multi-dimensional disaster, which is likely to get much worse in the foreseeable future because while a war is successful, little attention is paid to its causes, but when the outcome is disastrous, understanding how it happened becomes paramount. All in all, this study intends to provide an overview of the Russia-Ukraine war and its causes with Waltz's three Images as Individual, Domestic Politics, and international systems as well. The revolution on social media has attracted users to video sharing sites like YouTube. This site is the most popular social media site where people see, share and interact by commenting on videos. There are various types of videos shared by users such as songs, movie trailers, news, entertainment etc. Some time ago the most trending video was a video about World War III (WWIII / WW3). Analyzing comments from videos about WW3 gives viewers opinions about WW3. Study the sentiments expressed in this commentary whether WW3 gets positive or negative feedback. The machine learning algorithm, Naive Bayes, is used in comments to find out its sentiments. The test results of 1500 data produced 30.3% positive sentiment and 60.6% negative sentiment, with an accuracy of 78.17%.

The article focuses on the diary of Dr. Davis which depicts something about him and the background of this curious document. He was found unconscious on June 21, 1948 and spent the rest of his life in a private room in Billings Hospital, where he wrote his diary over a period of ten years. The doctors were unable to decide just what was wrong with him, if anything. The diary is a remarkable document in so far as it shows that all the suffering through which the world to go including the Third World War, the fourth World War, the forcible establishment of a world government and the present upheavals. His clumsy style does not make the diary easy reading but the student with political ideas may be rewarded by a deeper understanding of modern political thought.

Although it is known for a long time, hybrid war taken place in Ukraine under the umbrella of Russian Federation surprised the whole world and produced the greatest worry for humankind’s fate since the World War II. The political and military analysts appreciate if the World War III does not come will at least follow a long time of a new cold war. Remembering the hybrid war is not declared, can be prolonged in time and the adversary is unknown, thus neither the aggressor state, it is hard to settle which are the countermeasures and how should be act when this clever adversary attacks you using hostile propaganda, to the limit of trick and war perfidy (the first is allowed as method of war, the latter is not), influences the political decision-makers by blackmail, military, economic and energetic deterrence or nuclear bombardments and undergoes subversive, clandestine actions and particularly it is hard to predict their consequences.

The article focuses on the Hungarian uprising and the contrasting views on military intervention by Western powers. It mentions a letter from Max Chlumetzky-Löwenthal, the Austrian Ambassador in Italy, to Leopold Figl. It states that the German ambassador suggests that if the Russians commit another massacre, the Americans would intervene.
