L’objectiu del present article és fer un petit recorregut per la poètica del darrer Verdaguer (1893-1902) amb vista a examinar el canvi d’actitud que adopta el poeta, fonamentalment, en l’elaboració d’una poesia més intimista i fragmentada que versa sobre ell mateix, no ja com a poeta coronat, sinó com a poeta que passa pel Calvari de les seves flors i canta, d’aquesta experiència estant, un altre tipus de poesia i de veritat., Anuari Verdaguer, 2018: Núm.: 26

El propòsit de la present comunicació és presentar Kierkegaard des de la noció filosòfica de límit com a clau hermenèutica per entendre tant el contingut com la forma del seu pensament. És des d'aquesta noció, fonamentalment definida per Kant des de la metàfora de la «frontera [Grenze]» de la raó i criticada per Hegel des del moviment «negatiu» de la dialèctica especulativa, que Kierkegaard és vist com un pensador que, lluny d'assenyalar el límit entre la filosofia i el cristianisme, el que fa és convertir-se, ell mateix, en la frontera. El que mirarem de mostrar és com Kierkegaard, precisament pel fet de ser religiós, escenifica el límit de la filosofia en el seu propi discurs i crea, així, una nova forma de filosofar que consisteix, no a conèixer el límit, com ha intentat de fer sempre la filosofia, sinó a reconèixer-lo i il·luminar-lo negativament en el discurs., The purpose of this paper is to present Kierkegaard from the philosophical notion of limit as a hermeneutical key to understand both the content and the form of his thought. It is from this notion, fundamentally defined by Kant from the metaphor of the «boundary [Grenze]» of reason and criticized by Hegel from the «negative movement» of speculative dialectics, that Kierkegaard is seen as a thinker who, far from pointing out the limit between philosophy and Christianity, he becomes the boundary himself. What we try to show is how Kierkegaard, precisely for being a religious thinker, dramatizes the limit of philosophy within its own discourse and creates, in this way, a new form of doing philosophy, which consists of not knowing the limit, as all philosophy

Resumen del trabajo presentado a la 9th International Conference on Tularemia, celebrada en Montréal (Canada) del 16 al 19 de octubre de 2018., [Background and aim]: Tularemia is caused by the gram-negative intracellular pathogen Francisella tularensis. In Europe, the region of Castilla y León, Northwest Spain, is a major hotspot for tularemia, where the largest outbreaks of the disease have been recently reported. While rodents and lagomorphs are recognised as the main mammalian hosts in Europe, the common voles (Microtus arvalis) are documented key agents for human tularemia in Northwestern Spain, as evidenced by a spatial and temporal coincidence between human cases and increases in vole abundance. This study aimed to perform comparative genomics of F. tularensis isolates from tissue samples of F. tularensis positive voles with 11 human isolates from 2014, when an increased number of human cases was observed in the same area of Spain. [Material and Methods]: For this study, we selected thirty-four trapped voles, sampled in 80 km2 of farmland in Palencia Province, Spain (42°1′N, 4°42′W), that tested Ft-positive, by conventional PCR and hybridization by reverse line blotting (targeting lpnA), and the multi-target TaqMan PCR, tul4 and ISFtu2 assays. Tissues (liver, spleen and lung) from each animal were minced, inoculated in chocolate agar PolyViteXTM at 37°C in 5% CO2, and observed at 24, 48 and 72h post-inoculation. So far, after DNA extraction, four isolates, showing typical Ft growth, were subjected to paired-end whole-genome sequencing in an Illumina MiSeq apparatus, followed by genome assembly and bioinformatics analysis. [Results and conclusions]: All trapped voles tested positive for F. tularensis subsp. holarctica. A preliminary core-genome SNPs-based analysis, representing >99% of the genome, showed that all isolates (N=15) were distinguishable by 33 single nucleotide variant sites, representing two clear phylogenetic clusters. Noteworthy, four newly sequenced vole-isolated strains segregated together with five human-associated strains from 2014, suggesting the potential persistence of this strain in this region.

Resumen del trabajo presentado a la 9th International Conference on Tularemia, celebrada en Montréal (Canada) del 16 al 19 de octubre de 2018., [Background and aim]: Tularemia is a zoonosis caused by Francisella tularensis, a pathogen that can use a variety of transmission routes in nature as well as in humans. Since 1997 more than 1,000 human cases of tularemia have been declared in Spain in two major outbreaks, but knowledge about the epidemiology of this infection is very limited. The ability of F. tularensis to find mechanisms to persist in the environment and cause new outbreaks makes it necessary to identify, among others, the potential reservoirs during inter-epizootic periods, the main objective of this study. [Material and methods]: The sampling points were located in an area of Castilla y León, well known as “hot spots” for tularemia. They corresponded to surface water and sediments, as well as crayfish, mosquitoes, hares and ticks. Specifically, 8 zones divided into 4 subzones were sampled, including three rivers, three irrigation channels and three lagunes. Samples were collected in July and November of 2016 and 2017. For detection of Francisella lpnA was amplified by conventional PCR and hybridization by reverse line blotting with specific probes. Positive samples were confirmed by a real-time multitarget TaqMan PCR, using tul4 and ISFtu2 assays. For additional characterization sdhA gen and VNTR Ft-M19 were amplified and sequenced. [Results]: A total of 102 samples of water, 111 sediments, 343 crayfish, 156 mosquitos, 64 hares and 126 ticks from 14 hares were collected. Overall, 2 samples of water, 3 of sediments, 7 hares and 17 ticks tested positive for Francisella. Interestingly, F. tularensis subspecie holarctica was detected in water, hares and ticks while F. hispaniensis was the species detected in water and sediments. [Conclusions]: In this study we provide evidence of Francisella presence in nature during periods in which no large outbreaks of tularemia occur, and suggest that hares and ticks play an important role in the maintenance of the bacteria in the terrestrial environment. Moreover, to the best of our knowledge this is the first description of F. hispaniensis in abiotic environment, which enforces the need to assess the risk for the population and establish the necessary measures for its prevention and control.

Spiritual tourism was coined from an academic standpoint only recently, probably because the word spiritual is difficult to define and the label can therefore include different types of supply. Spiritually motivated tourists are an emerging niche (Aulet, Vidal-Casellas, & Crous, 2015). According to UNTWO estimates, around 330 million tourists visit the main religious sites each year, spiritual motivation being one of the most important reasons for this (Lanquar, 2007). Bywater (1994) also mentioned that spiritual travel occupies an important segment of international tourism and has been growing steadily. SPIRIT-Youth is a COSME project (COSME-TOUR-2015-3-04) funded by the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME). The SPIRIT-Youth project is a proposal for stimulating tourism mobility among young people out of season via spiritual tourism. In this paper presents the results of the pilot test. The idea of the project is to offer a transnational spiritual tourism product to attract mainly but not only the youth tourism market. The product consists of an itinerary across several European countries, with the common theme of spirituality, understood in a global sense; that includes religious sites and religious motivations. Each region participating in the project (Limburg, Prato and Catalonia) identified a minimum of 10 activities related to Spiritual Tourism and a pilot test was carried out. Each region hosted a group of 25 youngsters testing the activities and giving their feedback. They had a “travel diary” to note down their experiences and later provide feedback on the tested products and answered some questionnaires. With the results of the pilot test we are able to analyse their concept about spiritual tourism activities, the things to improve or to change in the activities proposed… The aim is to develop guidelines for the creation of spiritual tourism products for youngsters.

The long tradition of Kierkegaard studies has made it impossible for individual scholars to have a complete overview of the vast field of Kierkegaard research. The large and ever increasing number of publications on Kierkegaard in the languages of the world can be simply bewildering even for experienced scholars. The present work constitutes a systematic bibliography which aims to help students and researchers navigate the seemingly endless mass of publications. The volume is divided into two large sections. Part I, which covers Tomes I-V, is dedicated to individual bibliographies organized according to specific language. This includes extensive bibliographies of works on Kierkegaard in some 41 different languages. Part II, which covers Tomes VI-VII, is dedicated to shorter, individual bibliographies organized according to specific figures who are in some way relevant for Kierkegaard. The goal has been to create the most exhaustive bibliography of Kierkegaard literature possible, and thus the bibliography is not limited to any specific time period but instead spans the entire history of Kierkegaard studies. "Kierkegaard Research: Sources, Reception and Resources in Macedonia" is a overview of the Kiergegaard papers published in Macedonia and in Macedonian by Macedonian authors so far. The paper is divided on two sections: Macedonian translation of Kirekegaard works and Secondary Literature on Kierkegaard in Macedonian, whith more than ten papers listed in both sections.

Resumen del trabajo presentado al 15th Rodens et Spatium: International Conference on Rodent Biology, celebrada en Olomouc (Czech Republic) del 25 al 29 de julio de 2016., In many European regions, most microtine rodents exhibit multi-annual fluctuations in abundance and can cause significant crop damage and economical losses when they are overabundant during population outbreaks. In addition, they can be reservoirs of multiple pathogens responsible of serious zoonotic diseases to humans and livestock. Therefore, understanding the relationships between rodents and their pathogens under a dynamic perspective (density-dependent patterns of prevalence) may be particularly relevant in terms of effective public health management. In NW Spain, the outbreaking common vole (Microtus arvalis) recently colonized intensive agricultural landscapes where it has been pointed as a main amplification and spill-over host of Francisella tularensis (the etiological agent of tularemia). However, the epidemiological role of these fluctuating vole populations with regard to zoonotic diseases remains largely unknown. Here we describe for the first time the patterns of prevalence of F. tularensis along a complete fluctuation in abundance in a wild common vole population. Voles were captured seasonally (March, July and November) during a population outbreak between 2013 and 2015 and were screened for the occurrence of the pathogen. From a total of 243 captured voles, 46 individuals were infected, but prevalence greatly varied in time (range from 0 to 30%).We found a strong effect of vole abundance on tularemia prevalence, in a direct positive density-dependent way. We discuss the implications of the findings for our understanding of vole population regulation and public health. The increasing frequency of zoonotic disease events in rodents encourage us to go on studying the co-infection in common vole populations with other relevant pathogens.

El propòsit de la tesi és llegir el pensament kierkegaardià des de la noció filosòfica de límit com a clau hermenèutica per a entendre’n tant el contingut com la forma. És des d’aquesta noció, fonamentalment definida per Kant des de la “frontera [Grenze]” de la raó i radicalment criticada per Hegel des del “moviment negatiu” de tota dialèctica, que Kierkegaard és vist com un pensador que, ultra assenyalar una infranquejable frontera entre la filosofia i el cristianisme, el que fa és esdevenir-la ell mateix. El que mirarem de mostrar, doncs, és com Kierkegaard, precisament pel fet de ser religiós, escenifica el límit de la filosofia en el propi discurs i crea, així, un nou estil de filosofar, que ja no consisteix a “conèixer” el límit, cosa que sempre ha intentat de fer la filosofia, sinó, més aviat, a reconèixer-lo i il·luminar-lo negativament. Amb els conceptes de paradoxa, pecat i silenci, el nostre estudi recorrerà els moments liminars de l’obra kierkegaardiana en cerca d’una negativitat que, així com la de la ironia socràtica, ja no és demarcada o assumida pel pensament sinó en la qual és “crucificat” el pensament mateix. La creu, com a símbol de la religió cristiana, esdevé així el camí i meta de tota relació amb el límit, en quant restricció i transició alhora d’una contradicció que és la pròpia de l’ésser humà, síntesi de finitud i d’infinitud, necessitat i possibilitat, temporalitat i eternitat. La passió per la veritat, en la qual Kierkegaard articula tota la seva obra és, així, la pròpia passió i mort de la raó en la creu de la incomprensió de la paradoxa (el Déuhome) i tota l’activitat com a escriptor del pensador danès consisteix a fer-la avinent, a patir-la en el text dels seus múltiples escrits i a fer-la patir en l’existència del seu eventual lector. El pathos del límit com a concepte existencial i textual alhora obre així un nou àmbit en la preocupació filosòfica del límit i ajuda a reconsiderar la figura de Kierkegaard més enllà de l’antihegelià o el pare del existencialisme de la història de la filosofia, per tal d’entendre’l com a filòsof amb veu pròpia, com a pensador fronterer., The purpose of this thesis is to read Kierkegaard’s thought through the philosophical notion of Limit as a hermeneutical key to understand both form and content. It is from this notion, basically defined by Kant as the boundary of reason (Grenze) and radically criticized by Hegel from the negative movement of Dialectics, that Kierkegaard is considered as an author who, besides demarcating an uncrossable boundary between philosophy and Christianity, what he makes is to become one himself. What we will try to show is, then, how Kierkegaard, precisely for the fact of being religious, performs the limit of philosophy in the same philosophical discourse and creates, in this way, a new style of doing philosophy, which consists no more about knowing the limit but acknowledging it and illuminating it negatively. With the concepts of Paradox, Sin and Silence, our study goes through the principal liminal situations of Kierkegaard’s work in searching for a negativity which, like Socratic irony, is not to be demarcated or overcome by thought, but one in which thought is itself crucified. The cross, as the symbol of Christian pathos, becomes thus the path and objective of every relation to the limit, since this happens to be the restriction and transition of our own being as humans, synthesis of finitude and infinitude, necessity and possibility, temporality and eternity. The passion for the truth in which Kierkegaard articulates all his work is thus reason’s own passion and death in the cross of the incomprehension of the paradox (the God-man) and all his activity as an author consists in making this clear, to suffer it in the texts of his multiple writings and to make its possible reader suffer as well. The pathos of limit as an existential and textual concept at the same time opens up a new sphere of action in the philosophical worry about the limit and helps to understand Kierkegaard beyond the “antihegelian” or “father of existentialism” to reconsider him as an author with a voice of his own, as a boundary thinker.
