Abstract: International audience; Nowadays, determining faults in non-stationary environment and that can deal with the problems of fuzziness imprecise-ness and subjectivity is a challenging task in complex systems such as nuclear center, or wind turbines, etc. Our objective in this paper is to develop models based on fuzzy finite state automaton with fuzzy variables describing the industrial process in order to detect anomalies in real time and possibly in anticipation. A diagnosis method has for goal to alert actors responsible for managing operations and resources, able to adapt to the emergence of new procedures or improvisation in the case of unexpected situations. The diagnoser module use the outputs events and membership values of each active state of the model as input events.

Abstract: International audience; Enabled by technical platforms, sharing economies have been studied with regard to their economic, legal and social effects, as well as with regard to their possible influences on CSCW topics such as work, collaboration and trust. While a lot of research is ongoing around the sharing economy and related communities, there is little work addressing the phenomenon from a socio-technical point of view. In particular, there is little work in CSCW looking at the technology behind existing platforms, why it was defined this way, what are its impacts, and what would it mean to offer technology that would support local sharing economies in their cooperative activities. Our workshop is meant to address this gap. The aim is to identify research themes and gaps in the related work, and work towards a better understanding of core mechanisms and trade-offs in the design of future and inclusive platforms for the sharing economy.

Abstract: International audience; Efficient rescue operations require a high level of situation awareness among decision-makers and first responders for the purpose of achieving operations successfully and reducing losses. Moreover, a common operational picture between involved actors is required in order to support decision-making. Therefore, different organisations and agencies have to collaborate, cooperate and coordinate their actions with each other. Hence, effective interactions and communications between participants are vital to fulfil these essential needs. However, emergency actors still lack backing to exchange information effectively and ensure a common operational picture in order to reach shared situational awareness. For this reason, we aim to develop and implement Rescue MODES, a communication system oriented to support situation awareness amongst French emergency actors in rescue operations. In this paper, we examine and analyse actors' activities and interactions, so that the system will be based on the real needs of actors. We start by studying and modelling the communications, interactions, and information flow. This modelling is based on an application ontology. Then, we define requirements for good communication in these operations and present some existing systems in France and how each system responds to these requirements.

Abstract: According to three workshops organized as part of a study on public service delegation of data, use case definitions appeared to be a common issue for cities. To facilitate this step in city projects, one possibility is to define their profiles precisely and to compare these to their development strategies to highlight whether they are aligned, and eventually, to adjust the activities accordingly. In this context, a smart city profile model was developed based on the bibliometric analysis of smart cities in the work of (Mora and Deakin, 2019). Thereafter, a smart city model was developed based on the Smart Grid Architecture Model to aid in implementing the use cases, as presented in the work of (Gottschalk et al., 2017) and the IEC 62559-2 standard. Finally, four smart city profiles were identified and a profile characterization method was proposed using simplicial complexes. The results of the analysis of a smart city profile using this method enabled an in-depth understanding of the profile, which can aid cities in identifying new use cases to implement to be in line with their strategic development.

Abstract: International audience; It is often difficult to promptly perceive the extent of the consequences of a natural disaster when roads are cut, mobile phone is saturated, and the fragmentary information coming from the stricken area arrive at the drip. It is however on the basis of this diagnosis that must be organized the disaster management, relief, assistance to the victims, and the monitoring of the dynamic of the phenomenon. During natural disaster, social media, especially Twitter, sometimes remain one of the only source of in-situ information, as was the case just after the disastrous earthquake of Haiti in 2010. Some of the messages exchanged make it possible to get a clear idea of the consequences thanks to testimonies, photos or videos. It is with this in mind that we have developed a participatory platform for semi-automatic analysis of Twitter posts related to natural disasters. So-called “SURICATE-Nat”, this online Frenchspeaking platform (www.suricatenat.fr) aims to exploit informative messages posted on Twitter immediately during/after occurrence of natural disasters. This platform aims to structure and enrich the flow of raw data from Twitter into a human based instrumental stream that can then be analyzed as those coming from technological sensors (e.g. seismometers, GPS, piezometers, etc.). In addition, responding to willingness of Internet users to have an active “engagement” in the analysis of their own data, SURICATE-Nat offers participatory functionalities recognizing the value of “citizen expertise” and allowing each user to bring their own testimonies and take part in manual classification of tweets posted by others. This methodology aims to take advantage of the complementarity of artificial intelligence and participative approaches, in order to provide robust indicators for decision support.

Thegeographical location information of such events are vital torescue people in danger, or need assistance. However, only fewmessages contains there native geographical coordinates (GPS).So identifying location is a real challenge with Twitter data duringcritical situations. Identification of Tweets and their preciselocation are still inaccurate. In this work, we propose to usesemi-supervised technique to utilize unlabeled data, which is oftenabundant at the onset of a crisis event, along with fewer labeleddata. Specifically, we adopt an iterative Random Forest fittingpredictionframework to learn the semi-supervised model.

Furthermore, a good collaboration between services and organizations is vital to achieve successful operations. Therefore, a good communication and information exchange between actors is crucial to meet these requirements. This work aims to enhance situation awareness in rescue operations by supporting communication and interaction between participating actors. To do that, we start by studying interactions, communication, and information flow. After that, we look forward to design and implement a communication system that will be used by rescuers and first responders. In this paper, we show our preliminary results in which we model the interactions.

Abstract: In this paper we present a new methodology for edge detection in digital images. The first originality of the proposed method is to consider image content as a parametric surface. Then, an original parametric local model of this surface representing image content is proposed. The few parameters involved in the proposed model are shown to be very sensitive to discontinuities in surface which correspond to edges in image content. This naturally leads to the design of an efficient edge detector. Moreover, a thorough analysis of the proposed model also allows us to explain how these parameters can be used to obtain edge descriptors such as orientations and curvatures. In practice, the proposed methodology offers two main advantages. First, it has high customization possibilities in order to be adjusted to a wide range of different problems, from coarse to fine scale edge detection. Second, it is very robust to blurring process and additive noise. Numerical results are presented to emphasis these properties and to confirm efficiency of the proposed method through a comparative study with other edge detectors., Comment: 21 pages, 13 figures and 2 tables

Abstract: International audience; In this work, a CAD 3D foam structure of Ni-Ti Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) is rebuilt using ellipsoid unit cells in order to study the superelastic behavior of porous SMAs. A taking and placing algorithm based on a uniform and a normal distributions is adopted for the 3D reconstitution process. In the design sample, dimensions, positions and orientations of the ellipsoid unit cells are randomly selected. A SMA constitutive model including phase transformation, martensitic reorientation and twins accommodation is selected to simulate the superelastic behavior of the SMA foam. As an application, the compression of SMA porous sample with random ellipsoid unit cell distribution is simulated by finite element in order to show the efficiency of the proposed methodology to predict its superelastic response and to analyze the porosity effect. The obtained results show that the force-displacement or stress-strain responses of the porous material are highly depend on the foam porosity. The effects of porosity, size, orientation, ratio of long axis and short axis, and distribution of unit cell on the superelastic behavior of SMA porous material are also discussed in both closed cells and open cells cases.

Abstract: International audience; Tracking-by-detection is a popular framework for Multiple Object Tracking (MOT) where detectors produce a set of labeled detection to indicate the categories, the size, and the position of the objects. Most of the MOT approaches use the detection as points to do association. However, in this manner, these methods ignore the majority of useful association cues. As a result, the accuracy of the association is not optimal. In our approach, we combine multiple cues like object appearance feature, object size and position to improve the association confidence. Instead of treating the detection and tracking as two separate parts we directly extract the appearance features from the detector's feature map and append an extra association network to fuse the multiple cues. The architecture of our approach is an end-to-end detection-association network. The input of our network is the image sequence, and the output is the inter-frame target association matrix. We tested our network on MOT17 challenge dataset. The results show that our solution significantly improves the short term association accuracy when compared with the single-cues association methods while keeping a lower consumption of computing resources.

Abstract: International audience; During rescue operations, being aware of the situation is very critical for rescuers and decision-makers to reduce the impacts. This work aims to support situation awareness amongst actors participating in rescue operations by adopting an ontology-based approach. An application ontology is proposed based on existing related ontologies and operational expertise collection. It will help to ensure common situation representation and understanding between different actors. After that, a knowledge-based system will be developed and integrated in actors' environment to support decision-making. Our preliminary results are shown in this paper.

Abstract: A crisis is a complex situation, which actors have some difficulties to manage it. They are under stress to deal with problems that they cannot predict consequences. The human conditions (familial and life) and, the influence of the environment (politic, economic, media) pushes the actors to lose control of the crisis situation. The question we face in this paper is: “is it possible to predict the impact of the stress in this type of situation?” Our main hypothesis to answer is to represent experience feedback using knowledge management. To model the crisis management as systemic system emphasizing regulation loops, and the collaboration activity by showing the dimension of the communication, coordination, and cooperation. This modeling is illustrated in a terrorist attack situation in Algeria. To predict stress consequences, fuzzy set principle is adopted, based on experience feedback and situations modeling, as a generator of alternative states given a stress event.

Abstract: International audience; Nowadays, the recovering of both thicknesses and optical properties of nanometric multilayers is still a challenge. We propose a method to recover the effective relative permittivities and the thicknesses of copper/copper oxide layers, from absorbance spectra measured in the visible spectra. The experimental data are fitted with a model of classical light-matter interaction and a combination of two Drude-Lorentz laws to calculate the relative permittivities over the spectrum. The Particle Swarm Optimization and the evolutionary methods are used for the least-square fitting. A two steps study reveals that the relative permittivities of bulk cannot be used to fit adequately the absorbance curves. However, a perturbation of these reference values improves their fitting. The method is applied to the absorption spectra of a set of three copper samples that are progressively oxidized by six successive heat treatments.

Abstract: During a crisis situation, the ability of emergency department to take reliable and quick decisions is the main feature that defines the success or failure of this organization in the course of its crisis management. Decision makers spend time on identifying the decisions that will be taken for the whole of the crisis management, and on anticipating the preparation of these decisions, ensuring that they have time to properly prepare all decisions to be taken and, be able to implement them as fast as possible. However, the context and the characteristics of the crisis make the decision process complicated because there is no specific methodology to anticipate these decisions and properly manage collaboration with the other protagonists. There is also the pressure of time, a significant stress and, the emotional impact on the decision maker that lead to losing objectivity in decision making. We understand so that the right decision will be greatly facilitated and enhanced by the development of an adequate tool and process for decision-making. This tool must respect methods of the emergency department considered, and highlight the importance of experience feedback referencing to past cases, especially success and failures. We propose in this paper, software in order to handle experience feedback as a support for decision-making in crisis management “Crisis Clever System”. Several dimensions are considered in this study, from one side: organization, communication and problem-solving activities and from the other side the presentation and finding of experience feedback thanks to an analogy technique.

Abstract: International audience; Recently, natural fibre composites are widely used in aerospace industries due to their good specific mechanical properties, better acoustic properties, light weight, readily availability, biodegradability, recyclability, etc. In this study, the hemp fibre woven fabrics / polypropylene based honeycomb sandwich structure were proposed for aerospace applications. Firstly, the hemp fibre woven fabrics based honeycomb sandwich structures were manufactured and experimental mechanical tests (compressive and flexural) were performed in the laboratory. Numerical simulation was also performed and analysed to validate the proposed methodology. Different complex shaped aircraft part CAD models were created and numerical analysis was carried out in order to have a better understanding about the complex honeycomb sandwich structures.

Abstract: International audience; The single-point incremental forming process is an emerging process, which presents an alternative to the conventional sheet metal-forming processes like stamping and drawing. It is known to be perfectly suited for prototyping and small series. The incremental forming process offers the possibility of manufacturing medical prosthesis or implants specific to each patient, which are more comfortable and guarantee better performance. A reverse engineering approach associated with single-point incremental forming process in order to produce a titanium prosthesis of human skull is developed. It allows guaranteeing the high degree of customization required. In this paper, several novel warm forming experimental setup equipped with instruments to measure efforts and temperature monitoring is proposed. This new warm setup is feasible and makes it easy to monitor force and temperature sheet at forming; it gives it the ability to be exploited in the industry of manufacturing titanium alloy medical shapes. The real geometry of a skull prosthesis is re-constructed from a laser scanning technique, and specific treatments are performed until a CAD model is obtained. From it, the forming punch trajectories have been defined, and skull prostheses are manufactured using the technology of single-point incremental forming in titanium material at different temperatures.

Abstract: This paper presents an efficient algebraic preconditioner to speed up the convergence of Fast Multipole accelerated Boundary Element Methods (FM-BEMs) in the context of time-harmonic 3D wave propagation problems and in particular the case of highly non-uniform discretizations . Such configurations are produced by a recently-developed anisotropic mesh adaptation procedure that is independent of partial differential equation and integral equation. The new preconditioning methodology exploits a complement between fast BEMs by using two nested GMRES algorithms and rapid matrix–vector calculations. The fast inner iterations are evaluated by a coarse hierarchical matrix ( H -matrix) representation of the BEM system. These inner iterations produce a preconditioner for FM-BEM solvers. It drastically reduces the number of outer GMRES iterations. Numerical experiments demonstrate significant speedups over non-preconditioned solvers for complex geometries and meshes specifically adapted to capture anisotropic features of a solution, including discontinuities arising from corners and edges.

Abstract: International audience; The simulation of complex nonlinear engineering systems such as compressible fluid flows may be targeted to make more efficient and accurate the approximation of a specific (scalar) quantity of interest of the system. Putting aside modeling error and parametric uncertainty, this may be achieved by combining goal-oriented error estimates and adaptive anisotropic spatial mesh refinements. To this end, an elegant and efficient framework is the one of (Riemannian) metric-based adaptation where a goal-based a priori error estimation is used as indicator for adaptivity. This work proposes a novel extension of this approach to the case of aforementioned system approximations bearing a stochastic component. In this case, an optimisation problem leading to the best control of the distinct sources of errors is formulated in the continuous framework of the Riemannian metric space. Algorithmic developments are also presented in order to quantify and adaptively adjust the error components in the deterministic and stochastic approximation spaces. The capability of the proposed method is tested on various problems including a supersonic scramjet inlet subject to geometrical and operational parametric uncertainties. It is demonstrated to accurately capture discontinuous features of stochastic compressible flows impacting pressure-related quantities of interest, while balancing computational budget and refinements in both spaces.

Abstract: Purpose From temporary need of help for household chores after a short stay at the hospital to complex healthcare due to chronic conditions, an important number of professional caregivers belonging to different organizations are involved in providing help and healthcare services at home. Despite the well-defined role of each professional, these organizations are complaining of a lack of coordination and visibility of each other work, especially in case of incident. Coordination between organizations appears here as essential but is at the same time the responsibility of all and of no one of the involved professionals. In this context, our research aims at supporting coordination for home care work through the design and implementation of a web platform. Methods In order to ground the design of an inter-organizational coordination platform (AidAdom), we first studied the work practices and coordination issues of two help services providers through interviews and observation with different stakeholders ( n = 11 ) . Then we have conducted a pilot study at three homes (involving from 6 to 17 caregivers) during one month to evaluate the system use in the field as well as to address implementation issues at both technical and social levels. Results We provide an account of inter-organizational coordination in home care and identify issues in terms of limited resources for articulation work and basic coordination information sharing requirements. This analysis supports the features of the AidAdom web platform that enable caregivers to easily register data and messages related to their interventions. The pilot study allowed us to identify deployment issues at regional scale. Conclusion The AidAdom platform provides a lightweight system which enables organizations to share a minimal set of coordination information. Our future work is oriented toward opening the system to new help and healthcare service professionals and organizations.

This paper is a first attempt to argue that international development tools such as microfinance and sustainable development technologies transfer can be successfully analysed through the lenses of knowledge management methods. For instance, analysis of life experiences faced by women in the developing world can offer a full range of results which allow to foresee further perspectives. The evolution of the design of specific knowledge management tools and models and their future modification will eventually be confronted to other experiences, including in different context and different environments. The presented models are done manually in order to identify specific point of views which could be applied in different situations of educating girls and women.

Abstract: International audience; As a new class of metallic foam materials have attracted increasing interest in different fields of engineering. They are particularly versatile because of their interesting mechanical and physical properties: relative low density makes it possible to obtain a high stiffness/weight radio, existence of cavities results in the abilities of energy absorption and of damping, and also gives them thermal and acoustic insulation properties. As a well-known material for reversible inelastic deformation, shape memory alloys (SMA) have been paid attention on over last few years. They possess two important properties: superelasticity and shape memory effect. Cellular structures in SMAs are particularly interesting for their potential to provide superelasticity and shape memory effect in a lightweight material. In this work, 3D foam CAD structure of NiTi material is reconstituted using ellipsoid cell units. A “taking” and “placing” algorithm based on uniform distribution and normal distribution is adopted for the reconstitution process of Representative Volume Element (RVE). In the RVE, dimensions, positions, and orientations are all random. A constitutive model for shape memory alloy including phase transformation, martensitic reorientation and twins accommodation is used to simulate by the finite element analysis the superelastic behavior of the SMA foam. In order to show the efficiency of the proposed methodology, some applications are presented to simulate the compression of shape memory alloy foam. The effects of porosity, size, orientation, and ratio of long and axes short of the unit cell on the superelastic behavior of porous material are discussed.

Abstract: This paper illustrates the application of error estimates based on k-exactness of approximation schemes for building mesh adaptive approaches able to produce better numerical convergence to continuous solution. The cases of k = 1 and k = 2, i.e. second-order and third-order accurate approximations with steady and unsteady flows are considered.; Cet article illustre l’application d’estimations d’erreur, basées sur les schémas d’approximation k-exactitude, pour la construction d’approches adaptatives en maillage permettant de produire une meilleure convergence numérique en solution continue. Abstract: We present a goal-oriented error analysis for the calculation of low Reynolds steady compressible flows with anisotropic mesh adaptation. The error analysis is of a priori type. Its central principle is to express the right-hand side of the error equation, often referred as the local error, as a function of the interpolation error of a collection of fields present in the nonlinear Partial Differential Equations. This goal-oriented error analysis is the extension of [39] done for inviscid flows to laminar viscous flows by adding viscous terms. The main benefits of this approach, in comparison to other error estimates in the literature, is that the optimal anisotropy of the mesh directly appears in the error analysis and is not obtained from an ad hoc variable nor a local analysis. As a consequence, an optimum is obtained and the convergence of the mesh adaptive process is very fast, i.e., generally the convergence is obtained after 5 to 10 mesh adaptation cycle. Then, using the continuous mesh framework, an optimal metric is analytically obtained from the error estimation. Applications to mesh adaptive calculations of flows past airfoils are presented., Nous présentons une analyse d'erreur par objectif pour le calcul d'écoulements compressibles stables à faible Reynolds avec adaptation de maillage anisotrope. L'analyse d'erreur est de type a priori. Son principe central est d'exprimer le côté droit de l'équation d'erreur, souvent appelée erreur locale, en fonction de l'erreur d'interpolation d'une collection de champs présents dans les équations aux dérivées partielles non linéaires. Cette analyse d’erreur orientée vers l’objectif est l’extension de [39] réalisée pour les écoulements non visqueux aux écoulements visqueux laminaires en ajoutant des termes visqueux. Le principal avantage de cette approche, par rapport à d'autres estimations d'erreur dans la littérature, est que l'anisotropie optimale du maillage apparaît directement dans l'analyse d'erreur et n'est pas obtenue à partir d'une variable ad hoc ni d'une analyse locale. En conséquence, un optimum est obtenu et la convergence du processus d’adaptation de maillage est très rapide, c’est-à-dire que la convergence est généralement obtenue après 5 à 10 cycles d’adaptation de mailles. Ensuite, en utilisant le framework de maillage continu, une métrique optimale est obtenue analytiquement à partir de l'estimation d'erreur. Des applications pour mailler des calculs adaptatifs d’écoulements sur des profils aérodynamiques sont présentées.

Abstract: This paper deals with anisotropic mesh adaptation applied to unsteady inviscid CFD simulations. Anisotropic metric-based mesh adaptation is an efficient strategy to reduce the extensive CPU time currently required by time-dependent simulations in an industrial context. In this work, we detail the time-accurate extension of multi-scale anisotropic mesh adaptation for steady flows [35] (a control of the interpolation error in L p norm to capture all the scales of the solution contrary to the L ∞ norm that only focuses on the larger scales) to unsteady flows when time advancing discretizations are considered. This is based on a space–time error analysis and an enhanced version of the fixed-point algorithm [3] . We also show that each stage – remeshing, metric field computation, solution transfer, and flow solution – is important to design an efficient time-accurate anisotropic mesh adaptation process. The parallelization of the whole mesh adaptation platform is also discussed. The efficiency of the approach is emphasized on three-dimensional problems with convergence rate and CPU time analysis.

Abstract: International audience; This paper details the extension of a metric-based anisotropic mesh adaptation strategy to the boundary element method for problems of 3D acoustic wave propagation. Traditional mesh adaptation strategies for boundary element methods rely on Galerkin discretizations of the boundary integral equations, and the development of appropriate error indicators. They often require the solution of further integral equations. These methods utilise the error indicators to mark elements where the error is above a specified tolerance and then refine these elements. Such an approach cannot lead to anisotropic adaptation regardless of how these elements are refined, since the orientation and shape of current elements cannot be modified. In contrast, the method proposed here is independent of the discretization technique (e.g., collocation, Galerkin). Furthermore, it completely remeshes at each refinement step, altering the shape, size, and orientation of each element according to an optimal metric based on a numerically recovered Hessian of the boundary solution. The resulting adaptation procedure is truly anisotropic and independent of the complexity of the geometry. We show via a variety of numerical examples that it recovers optimal convergence rates for domains with geometric singularities. In particular, a faster convergence rate is recovered for scattering problems with complex geometries.

Abstract: International audience; We start this presentation by assuming that a model and a mesh of the DFNs have been computed *. We focus here on the numerical methods to solve efficiently single-phase flow problems. We will present the software NEF-Flow dedicated to solving single phase flow in large scale DFNs. NEF stands for Numerical Experiments involving Fractures. The software NEF-Flow is written in Matlab and implements the mixed-hybrid finite element method in an optimized way, using vectorization to decrease the computational time. It handles either matching or non-matching meshes at the intersection between fractures, sink/source terms and contrasts in transmissivities. A large set of benchmark test cases will be presented. Typically, we extended those proposed in [1, 2] to DFNs generated with the UFM framework [3, 4]. These DFNs are large scale DFNs where the fracture size distribution matches the observations and where fractures are organized so that large fractures inhibit the smaller ones, creating T-termination configurations. They may contain hundreds of thousands of fractures. Hydraulic properties will be computed efficiently on these networks. * See Laug et al. They are generally organized as multi-scale structures, which can be modeled by Discrete Fracture Networks (DFNs) that may contain hundreds of thousands of ellipses in the tridi-mensional space. This paper presents our approach to generate meshes of such large DFNs and to simulate single-phase flow problems using these meshes.

Abstract: International audience; Fractures in the Earth's subsurface have a strong impact in many physical and chemical phenomena, as their properties (in particular their permeabil-ities) are very different from those of the surrounding rocks. They play a major role in diverse fields of applications such as groundwater extraction, oil and gas exploitation, geothermal energy production, CO2 sequestration, etc. In this presentation, we focus on the well-known Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) models and on efficient techniques to mesh them. The generated meshes are subsequently used to carry out numerical simulations *. In the DFN models, fractures are represented by ellipses that are randomly generated in the tridimensional space, following experimental statistics. To make this model suitable for classical surface and volume meshers, it is necessary to add some information, which is accomplished in several steps: computation of the intersections between fractures, selection of fractures using a graph structure, and construction of a conforming set of edges that can be used as input for a mesh generator. All these steps present special difficulties if there are large numbers of fractures with distances, lengths and angles spanning over several orders of magnitude. Computational times are also critical, and only linear time algorithms can be accepted. In this talk, a methodology for modeling and meshing DFNs will be presented, and recent meshes up to hundreds of thousands of fractures will be shown. * See Pichot et al. Abstract: Natural fibre reinforced composites are emerging as the alternative of synthetic composite materials in several applications due to their limited recyclability and biodegradability. In this study, the tensile behaviour of hemp yarns detached from taffeta and serge fabrics were investigated. Experimental analysis was performed to characterize the crimped yarn properties. Analytical analysis was carried out in order to model and predict the mechanical behaviour of hemp fibre yarns under tensile loading. An inverse optimization approach was also adapted to optimize the mechanical properties of the yarns numerically.

Abstract: National audience; The recent multiplication of autonomous visiting devices in cities of art and history calls for a conceptual framework that makes it possible to reverse design these devices, to identify the visiting strategies to which they respond, to map the strategies that are widely instrumented and those that are more neglected, and thus to open up avenues for the design of complementary devices. Integrating the results of the literature on the diversity of visiting strategies, our conceptual framework is built around five functionalities that are combined to respond to these strategies: (1) discovering an item of interest, (2) accessing the related information, (3) receiving what is transmitted, (4) engaging, (5) reasoning. Each functionality is then broken down into “Form”, then “Conceptual approach” and finally “Implementation”. The use of this framework in reverse design and design is illustrated by the autonomous visit devices of the city of Troyes and its stained glass.; La multiplication récente des dispositifs de visite autonome dans les villes d'art et d'histoire nécessite un cadre conceptuel permettant de rétro-concevoir ces dispositifs, d'identifier à quelles stratégies de visite elles répondent, de cartographier les stratégies qui sont largement instrumentées et celles qui ont été plus délaissées, et ainsi d'ouvrir des pistes pour la conception de dispositifs complémentaires. Intégrant les résultats de la littérature sur la diversité des stratégies de visite, notre cadre conceptuel est construit autour de cinq fonctionnalités à combiner pour répondre à ces stratégies : (1) découvrir un élément d‘intérêt, (2) accéder à l’information associée, (3) accueillir ce qui est transmis, (4) s'engager, (5) raisonner. Abstract: International audience; Energy is a strategic sector in France. The concept of energy transition has favored the development of renewable energies. In the traditional energy model, a few large groups, resulting into an oligopoly situation, control the market. Systems based on renewable energies, on the other hand, can be deployed in a decentralized way. The concept of Renewable Energy Ecosystem (REE) is then relevant in order to think about the transition. This emerging ecosystem relies heavily on innovation, including start-ups. However, the risks posed by innovation and technology are significant; they favor start-up failures and limit the investments of venture capitalists and business angels in the ecosystem. We propose the principles of a risk assessment approach related to innovation, which takes into consideration the characteristics of the ecosystem, the role of economic models, and finally, the role of digital in accelerating the energy transition.

Using these resources and storage facilities in a sustainable way requires a good understanding of the physical, chemical and biological processes happening there. Also, the geometry of the subsurface couples these processes together. Here, numerical models are very useful: they reduce the costs and risks of in situ experiments and allow long-term predictions.

Abstract: International audience; A crisis is a complex situation, which actors have some difficulties to manage it. They are under stress to deal with problems that they cannot predict consequences. The human conditions (familial and life) and, the influence of the environment (politic, economic, media) pushes the actors to lose control of the crisis situation. The question we face in this paper is: “is it possible to predict fails action under the impact of the stress in this type of situation and to correct it?” Our main hypothesis to answer is representing fails actions using the experience feedback and the knowledge management. To model the crisis management as systemic system emphasizing regulation loops, and the collaboration activity by showing the dimension of the communication, coordination, and cooperation. This modeling is illustrated on a terrorist attack situation in Algeria. To predict actions consequence of the stress and their corrective, Fuzzy set principle is adopted, based on experience feedback and situations modeling.

Abstract: International audience; The scope of this paper is to present a nonlinear error estimation and correction for Navier-Stokes and RANS equations. This correction is obtained by deducing a source term from the evaluation of the residual of the solution interpolated on the h/2 mesh. To avoid the generation of the h/2 mesh (which is prohibitive for realistic applications), the residual at each vertex is computed by local refinement only in the neighborhood of the considered vertex. It successfully improves solution predictions and yields a sharp estimate of the numerical error.; L'objectif de cet article est de présenter une estimation et une correction d'erreur non linéaire pour les équations de Navier-Stokes et RANS. Cette correction est obtenue en déduisant un terme source de l'évaluation du résidu de la solution interpolée sur le maillage h / 2. Abstract: International audience; Aircraft contrails may contribute to the global radiative forcing. In this context, the investigation of contrail formation in the near field of an aircraft may be helpful in developing strategies to reduce undesirable impacts. Contrail formation is also a complex topic, since several physical processes are involved, covering a large range of space and time scales, from the engine exit to the atmospheric global scale. In the near field of the aircraft, contrail formation is mainly dominated by microphysics and mixing processes between the propelling jets and the external flow (the so called jet-vortex interaction). In this study, three-dimensional Reynolds-Averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) simulations of contrails produced by the Common Research Model wing/body/engine configuration during cruise flights is performed. In the present work, a dedicated internal nozzle geometry has been designed to replace the through flow nacelle of the original CRM configuration. Thus, the engine core and bypass flows are actually computed in the simulations, which allows several parametrical studies and avoids using parameterizations to describe the plume's dilution. The objective is to simulate the early development of contrails in a fresh plume whose dilution is obtained with a spatial simulation of jet/vortex interaction. A coupling is carried out with a chemical and a microphysical model implemented in the unstructured Navier-Stokes CFD code CEDRE to simulate particle growth using an Eulerian approach. The implemented microphysics model can simulate water condensation onto soot particles, taking into account their activation by adsorption of sulfur species. In this context, an adaptation grid mesh procedure has been used in order to generate an optimized unstructured mesh in the fluid zone of interest (i.e. vortex wake and jet exhaust).

Abstract: International audience; Fractures play a key role in many physical phenomena and have characteristics specific different from the surrounding rock matrix. Thus, computing the hydraulic properties of large scale fractured media raises many challenges, both in terms of mesh generation accurately representing the fracture geometry and in terms of numerical method to accurately solve the flow equations. The main novelty of this presentation is to combine different strategies to compute the flow properties at a moderate cost. Typically we combine advanced methods to generate high quality meshes together with robust methods based on mortar techniques to solve the flow. First, we will present the two steps software BLSURF FRAC [1]. In a first phase, it builds a geometric model including fracture intersections. The main difficulty is to build valid curve discretizations. To do so, BLSURF FRAC implements automatic corrections. In a second phase, it generates a mesh of the geometric model by calling a user-selected planar mesher. As planar meshers, we propose to consider the two followings, BAMG and BL2D. We will use the ability of BL2D to adaptively refine the mesh, for more accurate and less expensive flow computations. Then we will present Geofracflow, a software for the simulation of flow in large scale DFNs. Geofracflow is interfaced with BLSURF FRAC. It implements the Mixed-Hybrid Finite Element method in an optimized way, using vectorization, to decrease the computational time. It handles either matching or non-matching meshes at the intersection between fractures, sink/source terms and contrasts in transmissivities from one fracture to another. Finally, as a set of benchmark test cases, we extend those proposed in [2, 3] to DFNs generated with the UFM framework [4, 5]. They are large scale DFNs where the fracture size distribution matches the observations and where fractures are organized so that large fractures inhibit the smaller ones, creating T-termination configurations. Hydraulic properties will be computed on these networks.
