The scientific literature in the field of sustainable tourism emphasizes the crucial importance of the perception of the host community in small tourist destinations, due to its significant impact on the quality perceived by tourists. The objective of this article is to examine the perception of the host community of San Juan de Churin with respect to the economic, social and environmental development derived from tourism activity. A mixed methodology with a cross-sectional design was implemented to categorize the members of the host community into hierarchical groups, based on their perception of the impact of tourism on local development. The study combined quantitative (survey with closed-ended questions) and qualitative (semi-structured interviews) methods. Indepth interviews revealed a convergence between leaders and community regarding the perception of achievements and challenges of local sustainable tourism. Spearman's correlation analysis, applied to the survey results, evidenced a moderate to strong positive relationship, between the dimensions of economic, social and environmental development and the overall perception of development by the community (0.563 ≤ ρ ≤ 0.834). Hierarchical cluster analysis, combined with nonparametric analysis of variance (Kruskal-Wallis Test), identified groups of individuals with similar perceptions of local tourism development. This classification provides an in-depth understanding of variations in community perceptions and needs, which could guide specific tourism management strategies and policies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article discusses the need for business models in accessible, inclusive, and sustainable tourism. The authors highlight the lack of comprehensive business models in this area and emphasize the importance of incorporating accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability into tourism business models. The study confirms the scarcity of articles addressing this topic and suggests the need to adapt existing frameworks with new value propositions to make them more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable. The research has practical and theoretical implications for the field of tourism and provides insights into how the results can be applied to ensure true inclusiveness and sustainability in tourism businesses. Additionally, there are two documents related to accessible tourism. One is a list of references and articles that provide a comprehensive overview of research and practices in the field of accessible tourism, covering topics such as the needs of people with disabilities in tourism, technological platforms for accessible tourism, and the role of social organizations and higher education institutions. The other document is a compilation of various articles that discuss the experiences of tourists with disabilities, web accessibility in the tourism sector, the role of social organizations, and the attitudes of hotel employees towards guests with disabilities. These articles shed light on the challenges and opportunities in making tourism more inclusive and accessible for all individuals. [Extracted from the article]

- Abstract
This article aims to analyze public policies for sustainable tourism in Brazil. To subsidize the reflections, a bibliographic research about the concept of sustainable tourism and this use on the development of tourism activity was carried out. Documentary research was also carried out on materials that corresponded to political and legal milestones, enabling an analysis about the concept of sustainable tourism from the perspectives of official tourism institutions. The results, analyzed in conjunction with the theoretical framework used, showed reflections about sustainable tourism and the sustainability of tourism present in discourses, in particular, by public institutions. In other words, if these discourses support the pursuit of sustainable tourism development; or the development of sustainable tourism. The perspective adopted for the research leads to a result that demonstrates a focus on a marketing logic in the tourism policies analyzed here, and questions what kind of tourism that wants to sustain. The need to work for the sustainability is notorious, such as tourism. This requires working the environmental, economic and social aspects in a balanced way, as well as the interests of the actors involved in tourism development. To this end, the Commons Theory is a supporter in this process, as it is based on collective actions to deal with shared resources. Thus, this study aimed to analyze existing research relationships in the scientific literature between commons and tourism, and the integrative systematic review was used, based on the five stages defined by Tranfield et al. (2003). The selected databases were Google Scholar, SciELO, Scopus and Web of Science, and the systematic searches took place on July 1st, 2021. EndNote Web was used to manage the studies, as well as the Excel program. From a total of 163 studies, 22 were selected after using exclusion and inclusion criteria. The main results found were: a) the perception of a moderate increase in studies on the relationship between tourism and commons; b) the diversity of actors involved in the tourist commons; c) understanding of conflicts that must be addressed in a sustainable tourist destination; d) the use of different forms of regulation of shared resources in tourist activity; e) five actions to develop sustainable tourism based on the Commons Theory. Regarding future research, it is suggested to study whether actions taken in favor of sustainable tourism use the Commons Theory, and how the management and governance of this process are developed, in addition to identifying and analyzing which tourist resources are suitable for the practice of the commons.

SUSTAINABLE tourism , *TOURISM - Abstract
Tourism has become an important factor in the economy of countries. This sector, has been registering important mass movements around the world, in 2019, the tourism industry generated 10.4% of the world's Gross Domestic Product. The Covid-19 pandemic, which started at the end of 2019, limited all activities involving any form of human contact, these sanitary measures sought to control the rate of contagion, forcing various sectors to suspend their activities, until further notice. Through the study, it was possible to identify the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Peruvian tourism sector during the years 2019, 2020 and its perspective for the year 2021, in addition, sustainable tourism was proposed as a reactivation alternative in the face of the new normality in times of pandemic, based on the tourism reactivation proposals of some countries, whose studies coincide in a sustainable alternative for tourism reactivation and its possibilities of adaptation to national tourism, through the contextual analysis of sustainable tourism in Peru. This article aims to systematically review the literature on tourism in the Pantanal biome, with publications from the year 2000 to the year 2021, structuring the most important themes and, later, making an interface between the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, with the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental in the wetland biome. The methodological strategy was based on data collection in the periodicals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. The 56 searches were managed in the EndNote software, and analyzed by the IRaMuTeQ software that provides textual data analysis. This research shows that the Pantanal and tourism have interfaces with the SDGs, partially enabling the economic, social and environmental dimensions of the SDGs. However, the Pantanal biome lacks public policies and investments aimed at defending its people and its biodiversity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study seeks to evaluate the willingness of tourists to pay for a more sustainable experience in Jericoacoara, Ceará in Brazil. It consists of a survey of 386 tourists. The data was collected from an online questionnaire administered on location. We used the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), a descriptive method of analysis, and multiple linear regressions. The results indicate that, on average, tourists are willing to pay R$8,51 in addition to the Sustainable Tourism Fee charged by the Municipality of Jijoca de Jericoacoara (28.4% more). We identified that the variables age, income and dependents influenced their Willingness to Pay (WTP). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Objective: Accessible, Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism has gained significant prominence, reflecting a growing global awareness of the need for inclusive and environmentally responsible travel practices. The literature gap found regarding the absence of a comprehensive business model is the main goal of this research. Theoretical Framework: This study systematically compiled and evaluated the recent research studies on Accessible, Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism to contribute to the evolution of business models in the broader scope of tourism and tourism services. Method: A three-step process was followed to achieve this goal, comprising an initial research phase and a detailed performance analysis using various bibliometric techniques and visualisation tools, culminating in carefully selecting pertinent articles. Results and Discussion: The study confirmed the scarcity of articles that address this topic, with a tendency to conceptualise entirely new business models instead of adapting existing frameworks with new value propositions making them more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research provided insights into how the results can be applied or influence practices in the field of tourism. These implications could encompass all tourism areas, from hospitality to restaurant offers. It presents an important managerial clue to guarantee the tourism businesses' true inclusiveness and sustainable characteristics. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by filling a gap. The relevance and value of this research are its managerial contributions, which confirm the need to incorporate characteristics of accessibility, inclusion and sustainability into any tourism business model., O Turismo Acessível, Inclusivo e Sustentável ganhou destaque significativo nas comunidades académica e empresarial, refletindo uma crescente consciência global da necessidade de práticas de viagem inclusivas e ambientalmente responsáveis.

The objective of this research was to evaluate the management of tourism in the Bosque de Pómac Historic Sanctuary, in the region of Lambayeque, Peru, by developing a methodology using criteria and variables related to the sustainability of the protected natural area and the activity. Although several methodologies can be used to evaluate the general management of natural protected areas, this study focuses exclusively on tourism-related activities in one specific area. To develop the methodology, international documents related to tourism, nature, and culture were reviewed, and six criteria were obtained to evaluate the progress of tourism management in natural protected areas: Management Governance, Heritage Conservation, Identity and Authenticity, Equity and Inclusion, Marketing and Commercialization, and Visitor Experience. Subsequently, fifty-six variables were determined to be evaluated within the six criteria. A numerical evaluation matrix was designed in order to be applied to the criteria and variables with four rating levels; semi-structured interviews were conducted with twenty-five specialists in the area of tourism and natural protected areas (businesspeople, academics, consultants, public officials, as well as local entrepreneurs) linked to the protected area, and information was obtained from technical reports and field inspections. Using the scores, it was determined that the sanctuary has positively developed the criteria of Governance, Conservation, and Visitor Experience, while the issues related to Cultural Identity and Authenticity, as well as Inclusion and Equity, still need to be improved. SUSTAINABILITY , *SUSTAINABLE tourism , *TOURIST attractions , *TOURISM , *GOVERNMENT policy , *TOURIST attitudes - Abstract
The tourism public politics and the tourist services are means that enable the organization and realization of tourist activity, an important source of income for several regions, in Brazil and worldwide. In Bonito, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, the natural environment is the great responsible for the tourist’s demand, which, and not only for this reason, should receive attention from public and private agencies with a view to its sustainability, because the existence or not of public policies the way in which the relations between the components of the tourism activity occur interfere in its development of tourism. Thus, this article intends to understand the relationships between the public politics of tourism and the actions of the tourist services, in Bonito, in the perspective of the natural environment. The methodology used was quantitative and qualitative of a descriptive-exploratory nature, through the application of a questionnaire applied in the tourist services of Bonito, appraised with the aid of the software Sphinx Léxica 5.0. The results indicated that as much the publics politics of tourism as the actions developed by tourist services are still insufficient to guarantee the conservation of the natural way. They are few the actions accomplished by the section and, of those, a small parcel happens for influence of the government organs through their politics, demonstrating, therefore, that the relationships are still inexpressive. The relationships exist but do not occur in an appropriate way to favor tourism practices, considering what has been called environmental sustainability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This study seeks to identify whether the lodging facilities in Barra Grande and Jericoacoara have adopted sustainability practices from the perspective of the four dimensions, as they are parts of Conservation Units. The research strategy was a multiple case sampling, and Bardin's content analysis technique (2011) was the technique used for data analysis. The findings show that - considering the sustainability dimensions implemented in the lodging facilities - the environmental dimension is the best structured, in the largest number of cases, as it presents practices for reducing energy and water consumption and preserving the environment.

- Abstract
Due to its economic importance in Uruguay, tourism should be a sustainable activity for the profitability of companies and ecology and culture; even from the perspective of the green economy, it should also be so for society in general and the community. Today, the tourist demands quality proposals, which means that in addition to providing accommodation, gastronomy, and entertainment services, tourism must consider all the factors above, without which full-service satisfaction would not be achieved. The client's decisionmaking will be better to the extent that the alternatives are ranked. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The traditional models of tourism development generate strong negative effects on the areas, causing degradation. No form of tourism has escaped this, because in all of them natural resources are used as raw material. The objective of this study was to calculate the tourist load capacity of the environmental dimension as an indicator for planning sustainable tourism on the Kuatá trail, Nova Esperança Community, São Marcos Indigenous Land, Pacaraima - Roraima. The approach was of a quantitative, bibliographic and field nature, once the authorization of the community was obtained, the carrying capacity of the tourist in the leisure area and surroundings was determined through the application of the Cifuentes methodology that defines the tourist carrying capacity considering three levels to be calculated: physical load capacity (CCF); real load capacity (CCR); effective or permissible load capacity (CCE), which establish the maximum number of visits that a protected wild area can receive according to its physical, biological and handling conditions at the time of the study. The results obtained showed that the management capacity reached a value of 38.88%, evidencing the need to implement infrastructure, both physical and human resources, to possibly develop EcoTourism in a safe way and the minimum of comfort for visitors, with the objective of valuing tourism products, encouraging both the return and the arrival of new visitors, guaranteeing a flow of people who manage to secure the fundraising for the community and for the surrounding populations.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the challenges of planning and implementing of sustainable tourism initiatives in a Brazilian Conservation Unit: the Municipal Natural Park of Açude da Concórdia (PaNaMAC). Four interviews were conducted with institutional actors from the Conservation Unit, as well as the collection of comments published on the TripAdvisor webpage by visitors who were at PaNaMAC. The collected data were systematized using Iramuteq software and submitted to content analysis. We perceive that PaNaMAC has potential for sustainable tourism initiatives, mainly due to the environmental assets that the park has. Tourists perceive the place as a tourist attraction in which it is possible to practice activities connected with the perspective of sustainable tourism. However, it was found that the main impediments to the effective diffusion of sustainable tourism in the park are mainly related to the performance of the public power. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As part of the implementation of the new Cuban economic and social model, local development emerges as a necessary alternative, while capacities are mobilized at that scale, which helps to alleviate the burden of the State. Within this conception, Sustainable Local Tourism (SLT) is born as an opportunity. This activity is considered one of the most important in the world economy, so the local tourist use, in particular of the forests and their full potential, can stimulate people to move from their places of residence to the chosen site. The objective of this work is to establish the theoreticalmethodological foundations, associated with the management of SLT in forest areas. On this basis, the main result is to define as theoretical contribution the concept of SLT in forest areas. It can be concluded that this issue constitutes an opportunity for institutions and authorities related to the SLT, and the modalities associated with each space where it is planned, in order to establish from the theory, spaces that allow a differentiated tourism development not only within areas protected, but also in the field of unprotected natural areas, among which are forest areas, where the conservation of resources is ensured, economic-financial efficiency is guaranteed and benefits are obtained that are invested in forest management and local population. Given the potential of tourism in Colombia, together with the necessity to make it more adaptable, inclusive, and sustainable before the crisis, it is necessary to bring forward a new conceptualization prioritizing alternative environmental and sociocultural values. The purpose of this paper is to develop a theoretical framework presenting the relationship between sustainable tourism and social innovation, and to make recommendations to reach sustainable development in this sector in Colombia. Using the content analysis technique, a literature review is carried out on sustainable tourism and social innovation to identify some fundamental criteria for the creation of social innovation in tourism activities. Finally, a social innovation strategy for sustainable tourism in Colombia is put forward. Such strategy is rooted in the following five criteria: embeddedness, multifunctionality, public goods and shared resources, niche and institutional markets, and governance., Tendo em conta o potencial do turismo na Colômbia, bem como a necessidade de torná-lo mais adaptável, inclusivo e sustentável face às crises, é necessário avançar numa reconceptualização que priorize valores ambientais e socioculturais alternativos.
