Monografija sažima izuzetno bogatu djelatnost Fakulteta građevinarstva, arhitekture i geodezije Sveučilišta u Splitu, od samog početka visokoškolskog obrazovanja u području građevinarstva u Splitu 1971. godine, prati otvaranje studija arhitekture i urbanizma te studija geodezije i geoinformatike, nastavnu djelatnost, znanstveno-istraživački rad i projektne aktivnosti, zaključno s 2021. godinom. The monograph summarizes the extremely rich activities of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy of the University of Split, from the very beginning of higher education in the field of civil engineering in Split in 1971, it follows the opening of studies in architecture and urban planning, as well as studies in geodesy and geoinformatics, teaching activities, scientific research work and projects activities, ending with 2021.

Jasnoća plohe u suživotu zelenog i plavog nameće se kao glavna misao projekta. Elementi koji formiraju prostor; voda, zelenilo i zid u svojoj su pojavnosti iskreni i nepretenciozni. Streme jedino ka kreiranju neovisnosti, što u vidu namjene, budućnosti ili pak ljepote. Međusobno funkcioniraju kao set atmosfera koje na kraju dana mogu udomiti bilo koju funkciju. Trendovi su kao i budućnost neizvjesni. U slučaju Hotelgrama kuća je ta koja postavlja smjer, umjesto da mu se prilagođava. Korisnik unutar nje postaje aktivni član društva i traženi član zajednice. Kao rezultat analize proizašao je fleksibilan plan novog hotelskog naselja koji balansira odnose između parcela, punog i praznog, urbane gustoće, javnog i privatnog. Podjele unutar njega su formirane kako bi se u što većoj mjeri prilagodile mikrolokaciji. Rezultat je kombinacija raznih urbanih iskustava potrebnih za maksimalan intenzitet užitka boravka u prostoru.

Cilj je ovog rada analiza turističkih potencijala Parka prirode Biokovo te prikaz prijedloga daljnjeg razvoja. U radu su razloženi ključni aspekti i čimbenici u razvoju održivosti kao osnove turizma u ekološki osjetljivim i zakonski zaštićenim područjima, kao što su parkovi prirode. Ekoagroturizam je prepoznat kao moguća razvojna smjernica turizma, a obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva su prepoznata kao nositelji turističkog razvoja. Na temelju analize postojećih potencijala te u skladu s Prostornim planom Parka prirode Biokovo, određene su optimalne lokacije za razvoj turizma. U članku je prikazan prijedlog razvoja dva, međusobno različita lokaliteta, Donji Rastovac i Podglogovik., The aim of this paper is an analysis of tourism potential of Biokovo Nature Park and to present the suggestions for further development. The paper discusses aspects and certain key factors in the development of sustainability as the basis of tourism in environmentally sensitive and legally protected areas, such as nature parks. Eco-agrotourism has been recognized as a possible developmental guideline for tourism while family farms have been recognized as the driving force for tourism development. The optimal locations for the development of tourism are defined based on the analysis of the existing potentials and in accordance with the Spatial Plan of the Nature Park Biokovo. The article presents a proposal for the development of two mutually different localities Donji Rastovac and Podglogovik.

Cilj je ovog rada predstavljanje doktorske disertacije Arhitektura, konstrukcija i konzervacija: reprezentativna palača tridesetih godina u Zagrebu obranjene na Sveučilištu Roma “Tor Vergata“, Rim, Italija 2010. godine. U radu je analizirana kompleksna tipologija zgrada, pretežno poslovne namjene, nastale na vrhuncu zagrebačkog modernog pokreta - tridesetih godina dvadesetog stoljeća u Donjem gradu, današnjem središtu Zagreba. Razmatrana tipologija prerasta prvotnu inačicu poslovnih građevina s funkcionalnom podjelom po etažama i postaje kompleksan spoj raznolikih sadržaja za veliki broj korisnika; zajednička karakteristika odabranih građevina je da su sve predstavništva poduzeća ili udruga građana radi čega su u istraživanju nazvane reprezentativna palača. Analiza objedinjuje desetak palača koje danas čine antologijsko tkivo grada te otkriva Zagreb kao konzervativnu sredinu po pitanju konstruktivnih karakteristika građevina, primjene suvremenih materijala i njihovih mogućnosti., The goal of this article is a presentation of a doctoral dissertation Architecture, construction and conservation: representative palace in Zagreb during 1930ies completed at the Italian University Roma „Tor Vergata“, in 2010. A complex building typology mainly of business function is being analyzed; the buildings were constructed at the peak of the modern movement in Zagreb-during 1930ies, in today's downtown called Donji Grad. This studied typology outgrows the first version with functional division per floors, and becomes a complex mix of various components for a large number of users. All the chosen buildings are built as seats of firms and citizen's associations, that's why they get called representative palaces in the research. The analysis connects ten palaces which make today the anthological tissue of the town, and discovers Zagreb as a conservative milieu concerning constructive characteristics and the use of modern materials.

Studentski dom Ivan Goran Kovačić izgrađen je 1962. prema projektu arhitekta Slavka Lowyja i do 2017. nije bilo većih ulaganja u njegovu obnovu. Cilj rekonstrukcije objekta bio je podizanje standarda stanovanja u studentskom domu, koji je bio neprimjeren današnjem standardu, pri čemu se vodila briga i o studentima s invaliditetom kao i o znatnom poboljšanju energetske učinkovitosti same zgrade. Unutar rekonstrukcijskog zahvata podignut je nivo protupožarne zaštite izvedbom protupožarnog stubišta i osiguravanja površine za manipulativan rad vatrogasnog vozila. Obnovljeni studentski dom ima 193 ležaja u jednokrevetnim, dvokrevetnim i trokrevetnim sobama te sobama za osobe s invaliditetom. Sve sobe su klimatizirane, opremljene hladnjacima i internet priključcima. Po dvije sobe dijele zajednički sanitarni čvor, a na svakome katu smještena je čajna kuhinja. Rekonstrukcija je financirana nepovratnim sredstvima EU-a (70%) i sredstvima Sveučilišta u Osijeku (30%), a ukupna vrijednost projekta iznosila je približno 17 milijuna kuna., The student dormitory Ivan Goran Kovačić was built in 1962 according to the Slavko Lowy’s architectural drawings and until 2017 there were no substantial investments in its renovation. The aim of reconstruction was to increase living standard in the student dormitory, which was inappropriate for modern standards. Special considerations were made regarding students with disabilities, as well as to considerably improve the energy efficiency of the building itself. Reconstruction procedure include raising the level of fire protection through designing a fire escape and implementing a space for the manipulative operation of a fire suppression vehicle. The renovated student dormitory has capacity of 193 beds rearranged in single, double and triple rooms, as well as the rooms for persons with disabilities. All rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with refrigerators, and Internet access. Two rooms share a single bathroom, and there is a kitchenette located on each floor. The reconstruction was financed through non-refundable funds of the EU (70%) and the funds from the University of Osijek (30%), and the overall cost of the project was approx. 17 million Croatian kunas.

The architectural remains of Larisa (Buruncuk) display a skillful stone carving practice based on predominantly andesite (occasionally also basalt), tuff and limestone. Color scale ranging between bluish-grey and reddish-brown can be observed at ancient local quarries. Larisaean architecture is outstanding in using masonry blocks showing the different colors presented by the site’s quarries. Late archaic buildings in particular show a vivid combination of andesite blocks. Only at “Tower I” is it possible to assume that the decorative purpose is in the foreground. At others, with randomly placed colored blocks, the efficient use of quarries must have played the primary role. Colorfully painted architectural terracotta plates once decorated the buildings of Larisa, applied on mud brick walls strengthened with timber. The use of multi-colored andesite blocks (and others inserted), thus perfectly matches this special archaic conception in architecture, which illustrates the taste of archaic Greek art for polychromy.

Zajednički temelji su redoviti skup mladih istraživača (doktoranada i poslijedoktoranada) iz područja građevinarstva i srodnih tehničkih znanosti. Skup je zamišljen na način da bude platforma za jedna od prvih izlaganja mladih istraživača, što im omogućava svojevrsne treninge za daljnja prezentiranja i istraživački rad, te adekvatno umrežavanje. Sudionici prezentiraju svoja istraživanja ili koncept istraživanja pred kolegama iz različitih STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) područja, a njihovi sažeci ili radovi su objavljeni u zborniku. Svaki skup svakako sadrži najmanje jedno pozvano predavanje i radionicu ili okrugli stol na jednu od aktualnih tema vezanih za znanstveno-istraživačku domenu i položaj mladih u istoj. Common Foundations are a regular group of young researchers (doctoral students and postdoctoral students) from the field of civil engineering and related technical sciences. The meeting was conceived in such a way as to be a platform for one of the first presentations of young researchers, which provides them with a kind of training for further presentations and research work, as well as adequate networking. Participants present their research or research concept in front of colleagues from different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields, and their summaries or papers are published in the proceedings. Each meeting certainly contains at least one invited lecture and workshop or round table on one of the current topics related to the scientific and research domain and the position of young people in it.
