La cuestión central del artículo es la consideración sobre la eticidad de la retribución mediante "opciones sobre acciones". Para poder llegar a ese nivel de análisis, los autores realizan en primer lugar una aproximación a las opciones sobre acciones en cuanto instrumento financiero. Luego presentan las teorías que justifican su uso así como también las que se oponen, señalando a su vez los principales problemas éticos que este instrumento puede acarrear. A modo de ejemplo realizan el análisis de dos casos en los que las opciones sobre acciones condicionaron la toma de decisiones de los directivos: Sunbeam y Enron. Finalmente, terminan afirmando que, si bien este sistema de retribución no adolece de falta de ética per se, hace demasiado fácil y tentador incurrir en la trampa.

The application of adaptive antenna techniques to fixed-architecture base stations has been shown to offer wide-ranging benefits, including interference rejection capabilities or increased coverage and spectral efficiency. Unfortunately, the actual implementation of these techniques to mobile communication scenarios has traditionally been set back by two fundamental reasons. On one hand, the lack of flexibility of current transceiver architectures does not allow for the introduction of advanced add-on functionalities. On the other hand, the often oversimplified models for the spatiotemporal characteristics of the radio communications channel generally give rise to performance predictions that are, in practice, too optimistic. The advent of software radio architectures represents a big step toward the introduction of advanced receive/transmit capabilities. Thanks to their inherent flexibility and robustness, software radio architectures are the appropriate enabling technology for the implementation of array processing techniques. Moreover, given the exponential progression of communication standards in coexistence and their constant evolution, software reconfigurability will probably soon become the only costefficient alternative for the transceiver upgrade. This article analyzes the requirements for the introduction of software radio techniques and array processing architectures in multistandard scenarios. The Au-Ag deposits lie within the Custer graben in central Idaho. The Sunbeam deposit is hosted by a subaerial rhyolitic flow dome complex and underlying pyroclastic rocks. Mineralised ore occurs mainly along fractures in silicified and argillised zones. Hydrothermal breccias are common. Au and Ag occur mainly as electrum, with pyrite and arsenopyrite being the dominant sulphide minerals. The Grouse Creek deposit is hosted by subaqueous volcaniclastic and pyroclastic rocks within a sub-basin next to the Sunbeam rhyolite flow dome. Ore occurs in silicified zones invading a rhyolitic pyroclastic unit, in hydrothermal volcanic breccias and in the basal portion of carbonaceous black shales which cap the sequence. Fractures formed the feeders of the hydrothermal system but have less influence on precious metal deposition than at the Sunbeam deposit.
