Abstract

Grid-forming （GFM） converters， known for their superior inertia damping characteristics， have emerged as a center research focus in the renewable energy sector. As a result， the damping characteristics of GFM wind power converters are first examined. The analysis centers on their equivalent external characteristics from an impedance standpoint， and the Bode stability criterion is utilized to study their stability during grid connection. Subsequently， the frequency support characteristics of GFM wind power converters are examined in terms of inertia. A comparative investigation is undertaken via simulation analysis to gauge the supportive capability of GFM and grid-following （GFL） wind power converters during alterations in grid frequency and power fluctuation on the wind turbine side. The findings reveal that the external impedance characteristics of GFM wind power converters not only display inductive properties but also maintain commendable stability throughout grid integration. In response to a grid malfunction， GFM wind power converters can furnish a significant measure of power support， equating to a rise in system inertia， thereby indicating favorable grid integration characteristics.

9. Investigation on the characteristics of Q‐switched pulses in an EDFL based on the saturable absorption effect of germanene.

Abstract

In this paper, an all‐fiber passively Q‐switched (QS) Er‐doped fiber laser (EDFL) was designed and successfully demonstrated by innovatively employing germanene as saturable absorber (SA). Due to its low‐warp honeycomb structure and remarkable zero bandgap property, germanene exhibits excellent potential for highly stable broadband pulse modulation. Based on the saturable absorption effect of germanene, a stable passive QS laser output was successfully achieved at 1530 nm under a threshold pump power of 63.7 mW. With the pump power increasing from 63.7 to 403.5 mW, the pulse repetition rate increases from 48.5 to 121.2 kHz accordingly. Meanwhile, we observe that the pulse width was shortened from 3.54 μs to 890 ns. The experimental results prove that germanene nanosheets have a promising future as a Q‐switcher in fiber lasers. The observation group adopted the multimodal health education combined with the feedback method, and the control group adopted the conventional health education model. The postoperative extubation time, length of hospital stay, time to first leaving the bed, postoperative exercise compliance, emotional-distress index and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results: The postoperative extubation time (2.80 ± 1.03 days), the emotional-distress index (8.26 ± 3.01) and the time to first leaving the bed (23.74 ± 11.87 h) were all lower in the observation group than in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The postoperative exercise compliance (49.69 ± 3.60) and patient satisfaction (98.32 ± 1.66) values were higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05).Conclusion: Multimodal health education combined with the feedback method can improve the postoperative exercise compliance of lung cancer patients, reduce their postoperative rehabilitation time and improve their postoperative psychological state and satisfaction, which is in line with the concept of promoting the enhanced recovery of lung cancer patients.Keywords: lung cancer, enhanced recovery after surgery, feedback method, multimodal health education

15. Monitoring the Mitochondrial Viscosity Changes During Cuproptosis with Iridium(III) Complex Probe viaIn SituPhosphorescence Lifetime Imaging

Abstract

Cuproptosis is a novel copper-dependent form of programmed cell death, displaying important regulatory functions in many human diseases, including cancer. However, the relationship between the changes in mitochondrial viscosity, a key factor associated with cellular malfunction, and cuproptosis is still unclear. Herein, we prepared a phosphorescent iridium (Ir) complex probe for precisely monitoring the changes of mitochondrial viscosity during cuprotosis viaphosphorescence lifetime imaging. The Ir complex probe possessed microsecond lifetimes (up to 1 μs), which could be easily distinguished from cellular autofluorescence to improve the imaging contrast and sensitivity. Benefiting from the long phosphorescence lifetime, excellent viscosity selectivity, and mitochondrial targeting abilities, the Ir complex probe could monitor the increase in the mitochondrial viscosity during cuproptosis (from 46.8 to 68.9 cP) in a quantitative manner. Moreover, through in situfluorescence imaging, the Ir complex probe successfully monitored the increase in viscosity in zebrafish treated with lipopolysaccharides or elescolomol-Cu2+, which were well-known cuproptosis inducers. We anticipate that this new Ir complex probe will be a useful tool for in-depth understanding of the biological effects of mitochondrial viscosity during cuproptosis.

Abstract

Renewable energy generation has different static and transient characteristics than traditional synchronous power plants. The connection of renewable energy to the grid will have varying degrees of impact on the voltage stability of the local power grid. In a power grid with large renewable energy penetration, in addition to the voltage stability problem, renewable energy integration changes the original power flow distribution, line transmission power and inertia of the entire system, the power system transient stability has undergone tremendous changes. Renewable energy power generation technology and grid-connected scale are developing rapidly. The technical requirements for renewable energy and the research on grid-connected technology need to be continuously deepened and improved. However, some large-scale renewable energy off-grid accidents in recent years have brought serious threats to the security and stability of power systems, and have also raised higher research requirements for the stability of large-scale renewable energy grid-connected. This paper provides an introduction about the control and stability of renewable energy grid integration on both technologies and standardization aspects, and tries to explore potential the trend in active power and frequency control, reactive power and voltage control, security and stability control respectively caused by the integration of RE generation into power systems.
