Molybdenum targeted-adsorption material (α-BO/PMMA) was prepared by vacuum infusion of α-benzoxime (α-BO) in porous poly-methacrylate carrier (PMMA-DVB), and its structure was characterized by infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and optical microscopy. The effects of acid type, H+ concentration, contact time and MoO22+ concentration on the adsorption properties of α-BO/PMMA were investigated. The results show that the adsorption capacity of αBO/PMMA on molybdenum is greatly affected by acidity, and the adsorption capacity is the highest in 0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid medium, and the maximum adsorption capacity is 29.8 mg/g. This study investigated the spatiotemporal evolution of economic development in 23 cities across Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, and Macau from 1990 to 2022. The results indicated a general growth trend in overall economic development, with substantial fluctuations in absolute differences and a significant reduction in relative differences. The economic development appeared to be balanced both within and between cities. Spatially, the study revealed an increasing agglomeration effect, evident polarization in economic levels, and a distinct core–periphery structure, with central cities in the Greater Bay Area exerting a growing influence on their peripheries. Nevertheless, the peripheral cities, despite their economic strides, necessitate augmented policy interventions and capital influx to bridge regional chasms. The study's outcomes serve as a foundational reference for sharpening policy decisions, fostering regional amalgamation, and invigorating urban blueprinting and city-to-city synergies. This research provides an in-depth analysis of economic development trends across 23 cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau over 32 years. For policymakers, urban planners, and business leaders, the findings present a clearer picture of the region's economic landscape. Notably, while central cities within the Greater Bay Area have become influential economic hubs, surrounding cities still face challenges. A low density resin was prepared by thixotropic suspension polymerization using chloromethyl styrene as monomer and high strength low density vacuum glass microspheres (HMG) as filler, and it was used to adsorb uranium from pulp. The results show that using sodium dodecyl sulfate as surfactant and bentonite as thixotropin can reduce the surface tension of continuous phase water, and the density of the prepared resin is low, about 0.87 g/mL. Under the conditions of alkaline pulp of 200 mL, uranium mass concentration of 500 mg/L, low density resin dosage of 1 g, CO32- mass concentration of 17. 5 g/L, HCO3- mass concentration of 6.3 g/L,pH = 10 and static adsorption of uranium at room temperature for 16 h, the equilibrium Is reached after three consecutive adsorption times and the saturated adsorption capacity is 51.8 mg/g. The adsorption process conforms to the quasi-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir Isothermal adsorption model. After 10 times of continuous countercurrent adsorption, the resin adsorption capacity can remain at about 48.2 mg/g, stable performance, no damage on the surface, the floating rate of resin Is close to 100%. By chemical modification, long-chain amine and amidoxime functional groups were grafted onto chloromethylated cross-inked microspheres to prepare a bifunctional group anti bioadhesive uranium adsorption material, and it was used to adsorb uranium from seawater. The LAAM was characterized by infrared and element analysis. The effects of adsorption time, initial mass concentration of uranium and temperature on the adsorption properties of uranium with LAAM were investigated. The adsorption kinetics curve and adsorption isotherm were drawn. The composition of desorption agent was determined and the anti-biological adhesion performance of LAAM was analyzed. The results show that under suitable conditions, the adsorption capacity of uranium in seawater by LAAM is 3.1 mg/g. Large magnetocaloric effect has been observed in perovskite-type HoTiO3 single crystal accompanied by a second-order magnetic phase transition at TC ≈ 53 K. The values of maximum magnetic entropy change are about 5.96 and 11.56 J kg-1 K-1 under the magnetic field change of 2 and 5 T, respectively, without any detectable thermal and magnetic hysteresis loss. The large magnetic entropy change is attributed to the sharp magnetization jump, related to anomalies of the lattice parameters just at the Curie temperature. Such a large reversible magnetocaloric effect makes the perovskite HoTiO3 attractive for pursuing new materials for magnetic refrigeration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The magnetic function of layered molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) has been investigated via simulation, but few reliable experimental results have been explored. Herein, we developed edges-rich structural MoS2nanosheets via liquid phase exfoliation approach, triggering exceptional ferromagnetism. The magnetic measurements revealed the clear ferromagnetic property of layered MoS2, compared to the pristine MoS2in bulk exhibiting diamagnetism. The existence of ferromagnetism mostly was attributed to the presence of grain boundaries with abundant irregular edges confirmed by the transmission electron microscopy, magnetic force microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, which experimentally provided reliable evidences on irregular edges-rich states engineering ferromagnetism to clarify theoretical calculation. Increasing the open-circuit voltage (Voc) along with the fill factor (FF) is pivotal for the performance improvement of solar cells. In this work, we report the design and construction of a new structure of CdS/CdTe/Al2O3/Cu using the atomic layer deposition (ALD) method, and then we control Cu diffusion through the Al2O3 atomic layer into the CdTe layer. Surprisingly, this generates a novel p-type and metallic dual-functional Cu–Al2O3 atomic layer. Due to this dual-functional character of the Cu–Al2O3 layer, an efficiency improvement of 2% in comparison with the standard cell was observed. Charge injection at metal/organic interface is a critical issue for organic electronic devices in general as poor charge injection would cause high contact resistance and severely limit the performance of organic devices. In this work, a new approach is presented to enhance the charge injection by using atomic layer deposition (ALD) to prepare an ultrathin vanadium oxide (VOx) layer as an efficient hole injection interlayer for organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Since organic materials are generally delicate, a gentle low-temperature ALD process is necessary for compatibility. Therefore, a new low-temperature ALD process is developed for VOx at 50 °C using a highly volatile vanadium precursor of tetrakis(dimethylamino)vanadium and non-oxidizing water as the oxygen source. The process is able to prepare highly smooth, uniform, and conformal VOx thin films with precise control of film thickness. With this ALD process, it is further demonstrated that the ALD VOx interlayer is able to remarkably reduce the interface contact resistance, and, therefore, significantly enhance the device performance of OFETs. Multiple combinations of the metal/VOx/organic interface (i.e., Cu/VOx/pentacene, Au/VOx/pentacene, and Au/VOx/BOPAnt) are examined, and the results uniformly show the effectiveness of reducing the contact resistance in all cases, which, therefore, highlights the broad promise of this ALD approach for organic devices applications in general. Understanding and optimizing the temperature effects of Li-ion diffusion by analyzing crystal structures of layered Li(Ni xMn yCo z)O2 (NMC) ( x + y + z = 1) materials is important to develop advanced rechargeable Li-ion batteries (LIBs) for multi-temperature applications with high power density. Combined with experiments and ab initio calculations, the layer distances and kinetics of Li-ion diffusion of LiNi xMn yCo zO2 (NMC) materials in different states of Li-ion de-intercalation and temperatures are investigated systematically. An improved model is also developed to reduce the system error of the 'Galvanostatic Intermittent Titration Technique' with a correction of NMC particle size distribution. The Li-ion diffusion coefficients of all the NMC materials are measured from −25 to 50 °C. It is found that the Li-ion diffusion coefficient of LiNi0.6Mn0.2Co0.2O2 is the largest with the minimum temperature effect. Ab initio calculations and XRD measurements indicate that the larger Li slab space benefits to Li-ion diffusion with minimum temperature effect in layered NMC materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
