L’observation des didascalies et d’autres éléments paratextuels permet d’analyser des traces de l’événement théâtral une fois qu’il s’est produit (teatro perdido), en toute conscience de leur qualité de bribes seulement. Quelques exemples d’inversion des fonctions des discours dialogal et didascalique sur la scène hispano-américaine contemporaine obligent à revoir la relation entre le texte écrit et tout ce qui compose l’événement théâtral : par exemple les scènes d’introduction uniquement composées de didascalies, comme chez Marco Antonio de la Parra (Chili) ou Susana Torres Molina (Argentine). Le terme de paratexte englobe davantage que les indications scéniques et contribue à la compréhension du fait théâtral. Son examen sur un corpus composé d’œuvres du Río de la Plata et du Mexique nous invite à mesurer les multiples possibilités pour saisir les bribes de l’événement théâtral, depuis la volonté de légitimation jusqu’aux conseils et injonctions. The observation of stage directions and other paratext elements allows an analysis of the traces of the theatrical event once it has happened (lost theatre), knowing perfectly that they are just snatches. A few examples of inversions of the dialogue and stage direction functions in the Spanish-American contemporary theatre lead us to review the relationship between written text and all the characteristics of the theatrical event: for example the introductory scenes that are almost entirely composed of stage directions, such as in the case of Marco Antonio de la Parra (Chile) or Susana Torres Molina (Argentina). The term “paratext” includes much more than stage directions and contributes to a better understanding of the theatrical event. By examining it in a corpus of texts from the Río de la Plata and Mexico, we can evaluate the many different possibilities to catch snatches of the theatrical event, from the willingness to legitimate to the advices and injunctions.

La segunda mitad del siglo XX es fundamental para el teatro venezolano, ya que en ella surge la dramaturgia en este país, así como los grupos principales; alcanza su momento de eclosión en los años sesenta y setenta, manteniéndose en la del ochenta, mientras que en los noventa sufre un giro y entra en una crisis que continúa en estos primeros años del nuevo siglo. La generación que surge en los años sesenta sigue siendo la referencia del teatro en Venezuela. The second half of the 20th century was fundamental for Venezuelan theatre, with the rise of play-writing and the principal theatre groups. It bloomed in the 1960s and 70s, maintaining a certain level in the 80s, whereas in the 1990s it took a downturn and entered into a crisis that has continued into the first years of the present century. The generation of the 1960s is still the reference point for Venezuelan theatre.
