Prayer therapy has long been prevalent in all religions and human schools, with all divine and human schools used in such matters as illness and suffering. But after the Industrial Revolution and the advent of technology into human life, the effect of prayer therapy became somewhat diminished, to the point that it negated the effect of prayer on health and physical issues. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of prayer therapy in the treatment of physical and mental illnesses in a descriptive and analytical way. According to the findings of this study, prayer is rooted in the nature of human existence and poverty. Therefore, by connecting to an unlimited source of divine power, it plays an effective role in the physical and mental health of human beings. According to Islamic teachings, praying for health and healing, if it is accompanied by heartfelt faith and attention, will have a positive and practical impact on the health of patients. Prayer is the basis for healing and affects the physiology of the body, and it also helps prevent disease because the body and the spirit influence each other. For this reason, the religion of Islam expresses specific and popular prayers for most of the physical and mental problems. Prayer therapy does not mean, of course, that one can exclude the cause of the universe through prayer. Rather, everything goes according to its own rules, and God makes the healing of the sick by praying through the natural laws. Consequently, according to the teachings of Islam, the value and value of individuals in the presence of God and the physical and mental health of individuals depend on their prayers. Therefore, prayer therapy can be used as a low-cost, natural, stress-free, relaxing or individual therapy with other therapies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ACNE ,RHINOPLASTY ,DISEASES in young adults ,DISEASE exacerbation ,SEVERITY of illness index ,PATIENT satisfaction - Abstract
Background: Acne vulgaris is one of the most common diseases of pilosebaceous unit characterized by papules and pustules on the face and trunk of young people. Different factors have been suggested to influence acne including diet, stress, changes in hormonal cycles, and some medications. In fact, the authors have recently received numerous complaints regarding the exacerbation of acne in patients who have undergone rhinoplasty surgery. Accordingly, we determined to compare the severity of acne before and after the surgery. Methods: This prospective analytical study was performed on 32 patients referred to plastic surgery clinics of Alzahra hospital during 2010-2011. Acne severity preoperatively and within one week, one month and four months after surgery was assessed using the acne severity index. Findings: The mean acne severity index before and one week, one month and four months after surgery were significantly different (P < 0.001). However, the severity one month after surgery was significantly higher than the other time-points (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Because rhinoplasty surgery is often performed to improve the appearance of people, the exacerbation of acne after this type of surgery affects patient satisfaction. Therefore, considering acne preventive measures before the surgery is recommended. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: The most commonly reported side effects of salsalate are gastrointestinal events, and few reports are available on its cutaneous side effects. We therefore assessed cutaneous side effects among diabetic/pre-diabetic patients treated with salsalate. Methodology: In a randomized placebo-controlled trial, we evaluated cutaneous side effects in 52 diabetic and 124 pre-diabetic patients, 90 of whom received 3 g/day salsalate and 86 of whom receive a placebo for four weeks. The evaluation was carried out every week using a checklist completed by a single general practitioner. Results: The difference between the salsalate- and placebo-treated groups in overall prevalence of cutaneous reactions was not significant (26.7% versus 17.4%; P < 0.05). Side effects included urticaria (nine (10.1%) salsalate-treated versus six (6.9%) placebo-treated), rashes (five (5.5%) salsalate-treated versus three (3.4%) placebo-treated), pruritus (six (6.7%) salsalate-treated versus three (3.4%) placebo-treated), and edema (two (2.2%) salsalate-treated versus one (1.2%) placebo-treated); in addition, one (1.1%) case of erythema nodosum and one (1.1%) of vasculitis were observed in the salsalate-treated group. In the salsalate group, therapy was discontinued by the physician for three (3.3%) patients because of acute and severe vasculitis, erythema nodosum and urticaria and two (2.2%) patients stopped the treatment themselves because of mild urticaria compared with two patients who stopped using the placebo. Conclusions: Salsalate can cause several and, in some cases, severe cutaneous side effects in patients with diabetes/pre-diabetes. Because these cutaneous eruptions can raise various concerns, including patient non-compliance, greater attention should be paid to dermatological problems in patients under salsalate treatment. - Abstract
As an indispensable form of advertisement with over 200 years of history, posters have always been linked with the advancement of technology and print industry. While there is no doubt in the critical role of print posters throughout history, the poster is no longer a static experience. Along with the consecutive fast-paced advancement of digital technology, digital screens and design softwares have generated a new era of poster design by adding animation to it. The goal of this thesis was to better understand animation posters and explore how bringing animation to static posters may transform the viewer experience. Media review was the main source for secondary research because there were not any specific studies on animation posters as a relatively new format. Fifty case studies of existing animation posters were selected and analyzed in multiple segments to provide the background information that also helped in creating a framework that was applied in the primary research of this thesis. For the first phase of primary research, an online survey was conducted to determine the attitudes, opinions, and experiences on animation posters. Then, it was followed by viewer testing. Twelve static and animation posters were designed and used for testing 16 viewers. Then a detailed comparative analysis was administered to investigate how different the findings are between these static and animation posters. This thesis proves that a thoughtful and contrived application of motion is very effective in the greater fulfillment of the poster and the viewer needs. Findings from this study assert that utilizing the necessary and proper scope of animation has a magnificent impact on maximizing the capabilities of a poster.
